Los Angeles, California – Anna Pedrose
Anna could only smirk as she saw the news on the television in-front of her. An entire high school was wiped out in L.A, flattened, and the assumed culprit was an Evo. Anna wasn’t someone who much cared for accusations, but the circumstances at hand didn’t leave any other options other than that of someone with an ability being responsible.
Besides, regardless of whether the media had got it right or not she herself knew someone with powers was behind this. Now that’s a power right there, an entire school, the fun you could have with that. Anna grinned as she could only imagine the type of mischief one could cause with such a destructive ability. Finally she decided to turn her attention from the screen walking away from the store from which she’d been viewing the television through the protective glass.
So it’s just like the dreams I’ve been having, and this isn’t the first time. Guess that means I should follow the clues again then. Anna pondered as she continued to walk down the side-walk lost in her thoughts not paying much attention to the city. The atmosphere of the city was one of panic, an entire high school wiped out, the Bennet Act passed, mandatory blood testing to figure out which citizens had powers and which didn’t. These powerless fucks think they can intimidate us with their little testing, I’m sure some pathetic fucks will do their best to abide by the rules and allow themselve’s to be monitored and controlled. Buuuut, that certainly won’t be this bad bitch right here nuh uh.
Anna allowed her mind to be filled with thoughts of confidence and victory. These days many Evo’s were getting scared of what was coming next, but not her. She’d been persecuted and hunted her whole life, so what if the Government decided to join in on the pursuit? She’d remained free all these years thanks to everything Glen taught her, and she didn’t intend to get locked up any time soon. Besides there was so many things she needed to know, so many questions she still needed answered and that wouldn’t happen if she was locked up In some cell getting experimented on by scientists in some disgusting lab.
She shuddered at the very thought of being a human genuine pig again, she’d rather die before having that fate bestowed upon her again. Primatech.. A word that got her all stirred up, this was the name of the organization that had single handedly ruined her life. The reason she didn’t know her family, the reason she was born in a cage, the reason she’d lost the only person she ever truly cared about. Lately she’d been plagued with nightmares after meeting with some older lady in a diner a couple weeks ago.
All the trouble that bitch’s been causing me I knew I should have zapped her with the red sparks, but nooooo I just had to go easy on her and go Blue. Whatever the fuck I got from her is not good at all, like what the fuck does this mean? Anna reflected on the encounter and what it meant as she slowed her pace as she was finally approaching her destination. An apartment complex, overpriced like most everything in the L.A area. This is crazy, exactly like what I already saw. The room number I saw, then the school getting wiped out.
Anna felt her heart skip a beat, she was extremely excited. She made her way to one of the buildings and went to the stairs making her way up. She was taking note of her surroundings, she knew things were going to get interesting soon and she might be one step closer to getting the answers she wanted. Upon climbing up the fifth flight of stairs she hesitantly made her way over to the room she’d seen elsewhere. Okay the numbers are the same, I guess that confirms what the fuck I got. YES! I mean this shit kinda sucks but whatever.
The pungent smell of strong marijuana was apparent to her as seen as she reached the door. Ooh someone’s getting high as fuck in there. She was reaching for the door handle when she heard some commotion going on within and paused. Yelling, shuffling, pushing, arguing, there was some sort of confrontation going on in her dream. Anna was inclined to just go in and join the chaos, but decided to play it safe and just put her ear to the door to listen to what was going on inside. She could hear several people inside, and then they were silenced. Anna raised an eyebrow but could still only hear one person talking threatening people, and the conversation itself wasn’t making much sense.
Seems like the person from my vision got surrounded, but they seem to be doing quite well for themselves because I don’t hear anyone. My time to go in or…wait..she’s still talking tho but I don’t hear anyone else this bitch is crazy…ugh. “Enough is Enough” Anna shrugged and slammed into the door busting it open as she burst inside, only to be confronted by a red haired woman whose eyes matched the color of her hair.
“OH breaking and entering huh? The second one today, I must be popular, let me guess I just got visited by the CIA, who are you FBI, Department of Homeland Security, come on what’s your acronym.” The girl smiled looking at Anna with a look she knew all to well. She appeared to be someone who thought she was in control.
“CIA? Nahhh boo I’m not part of any of those people, trust me I’m no government agent. Would you believe me if I told you I broke into your house because of a vision? Anna inquired while remaining totally calm looking at the woman who seemed to be disturbed by her intruder’s calm demeanor and talk of visions.
“A Vision?” The woman scowled as she repeated the word Anna had used. “Look bitch I’ve been having a great day, and I’ve already dealt with a-lot of stress so I’m feeling generous. If you turn the fuck around and walk out I won’t kill you.”
“Oh that’s a generous offer hun, but trust me I’m not afraid of you. I’m just like you.” Anna smiled and held out her right hand suddenly some red sparks flickered in her palm before fading away. The school, this apartment, this disrespectful red headed bitch, whoever went missing it’s all starting to make sense. I think I get it.
The woman stepped back upon seeing the red sparks in Anna’s hands before they faded away, however despite being surprised she didn’t appear to have any fear. “So..what you can make some fucking sparks, you think that’s a power? You have any idea what I’m capable of you wouldn’t be standing there all smug, and confident in yourself. You would have taken the chance I gave you to live, but obviously your too fucking stupid for that. You come in here, talking about visions, breaking my fucking door, and I gave you a chance to live that you turned down? Oh honey you WANT to die, and I’ll be glad to add you to the list of people I’ve killed today.” The woman grinned and suddenly a chair near Anna vanished.
Anna as expected bolted back from the object that had been turned into seemingly nothing. Shit..the couch. Holy shit…it’s gone..I see why she’s so confident. “You..You..made it vanish..the couch it’s gone..that’s..impressive. Honestly very impressive trust me, BUT it’s nothing compared to me. Although I think we’re going to make quite the team. I’m Anna.”
The other woman rolled her eyes before glaring at Anna. “Anna? Alright I’m – HA it dosen’t matter to you because either way your dead bitch.” The woman focused on Anna and suddenly just as quickly as the couch the woman vanished. She marched over to where Anna once stood and laughed as she stood in the same spot her intruder once was. “Really, you thought you stood a chance against me? By the way my name’s.” Before she could speak she felt her throat constrict and felt an overwhelming sense of fear. “W..what’s..”
“You really thought you’d done away with me? That little outburst was all I needed, I simply wanted to figure out what you are, before I was done. You know my mom always told me not to play with my food, well actually.. I never had a mom, so I can do whatever I want.” Anna appeared to the left of the red headed woman seemingly unharmed by her power. “I told you I’m not the CIA, or any Government organization I’m sure you’d be able to handle them, especially with what your capable of. You’re a monster.”
“Why the fuck can’t I move, why aren’t you dead, you stupid bitch, I swear.” Before the woman could protest the same red sparks appeared in Anna’s hand and suddenly the red sparks were enlarged. Anna laughed as the red energy surrounded her body and expanded in a violent wave of red energy throughout the room. As the flash of red energy subsided only Anna was left standing and where the red headed woman once stood was nothing more than her wallet which now hit the ground. Anna leaned down to pick it up and looked through the contents. “Alright, now that was fun..” She tossed the wallet aside and walked over to a desk where a couple of folders were stacked on top of each other. Anna opened the first folder and smiled. “Coyote Sands hmm..” She moved the folder and set it to the side then reached for the second one, then opened it up. “Building 26? Hmm..ooh…a Senator.” Anna flipped the page in the file and grinned. “Nathan Petrelli, ability-flight, status: deceased, hmmm special facts…the biological father of Claire Bennet? Ooooh…now this is the real reason I came, thank you crazy ominous bitch from the diner oh and of course thank you too Blaire.” Anna just chuckled as she flipped another page in the folder, things were about to get interesting.
