I for sake of character would prefer it if certain characters didn't just easily walk all over Vega like that. There are some that make sense, and special circumstances, for instance Rei is currently the only one who has any sway over him with presence alone, and Ama in some moods. Others just butt heads with him as per normal.

It's hard playing a character like this when certain people try to out-tough guy them or cool-guy all over them.

Like if it wasn't for the festival he'd smash Travis' face in instantly if he talked back.

@Sho Minazuki Well a problem that lies in that is that Odinn can kinda walk all over many people. That's why he's S-class and generally respected. This does put us at a bit of a predicament here though in terms of what is or isn't canon now. Edits or retcons are gonna have to be made. Not a big deal, but slightly confusing. Particularly for me.

I realized that if Vega and Odinn did the fusion dance we'd get Kassadin. Anti-magic riftwalking.

I'll go change it so that he cancels the rift. As quick as it is, Vega's physically attuned enough to react to it.

This is, I think, my biggest issue with any sort of anti-magic in any system, it's not only 'unfun', it's also extremely hard to balance. Odinn is an older and more experienced mage than Vega, there should be nothing easy about cancelling out a direct attack from an S class mage's signature move.

Not to mention that it's hardly fair to complain about people assuming their abilities resolve against your character, and then proceed to declare that not only have you already hit your opponent with your next spell, but you've actually bound them and pulled them to you. You've written the conclusion of your declared action before the target had a chance to react to the action in the first place :/

Unless you got permission. Which I figure to myself is unlikely given how rekt Odinn is in your post...

I'm treating the current scenes more like cutscenes though, not actual damage is going to be dealt, no actual combat. Plus at the moment he's surrounded, so it's not like Odinn is under actual threat. Combat has not been properly initiated in my opinion.

In any case I think starting whatever arc is planned would be a good idea right now. The timing just seems right.

Edit has been made, and I agree that guild master intervention should commence. Also, the striking fist is just a love I decide to rename, and is just the basic slayer fist attack. Also, in response to the flashbang comment, the blindness would work like this: totally blind on first post, sight is blurry as hell, but coming back in second post( so effectively blinded still), and then you can see again on your third post. I feel that makes sense, since most combat post lasting only a few seconds.

Yeah a collaborative effort would have made this section flow more smoothly.

I know you weren't here during the interest check phase but I've said that this RP will be very char focused. The bulk of arcs will be character stories and it's up to the player who they want involved. There will be overall story arcs of course but we won't be moving from arc to arc without much in between. Anyway, the festival is not a set up for something to interrupt it and introduce anything but the guilds and they're rivalry. I don't want them to have to band together right off the bat. That was a problem I had with the original version of this RP. Even before a major arc the guilds were forced to cohabitate and get along before the rivalry was really explored. Anyway the festival will be ending once I bring in Golem's master to intervene and then everyone can do at least one mission then we'll jump into a major arc. I'll also be honest, I haven't developed the overarching story yet, like I said I developed this as more of a sandbox character driven RP.

Maybe ask for PM submissions (to prevent spoilers) from the playerbase for character-arcs? I'm sure most folks have ideas for how they want their characters to develop, and with some prompting could probably come up with ideas that facilitate that. As long as someone doesn't make a super-antagonist that ends up taking over the whole storyline with their evil plots, and characters don't try to hog the spotlight.

Well, I should probably do something that involves Klisa and Ceri. Maybe have them stumble upon the little fight now. Might hold off though until after the guildmaster puts a stop to it.

Odinn used his rifts to send Ria into the lake. Vega escaped due to the nature of his magic but Ria is currently no longer the vicinity of where the squabble began. So your post is completely invalid ^.^;

I too am quite knowledgeable about FT. Though I can be quite soft hearted, I can also help with co-GMing if you'd like.

I might not talk much in the thread and my posts with Sunny have been quite non-existant after the second page, but that's just because I realized that having a lazy character means you can be lazy too xD
