@Rune_Alchemist it isn't the fall that kills a character...

It's the anticipation of criticism xD

@Kalas OMG HAI? Ha, so he is going to try and give her a heart attack, huh. Well, that's fine. It might just make her laugh. Might. Lively people are things that she loves xD But, of course, she won't fall in love with anyone... At least not easily,(Doesn't consider herself a love interest. HA! Her father has different things to say about that) so it's fine as long as he doesn't fall for her~ So yeah, it's fine.

Being bound by the Human lifespan is mundane and boring and something we already have to adhere to. Given the chance to Roleplay beyond those boundaries is something a lot of people can only imagine, hence why longer lifespans are in abundance here.

What's the point of being a few thousand years old if you aren't even capable of applying it? Or, more specifically, if you're that old, what the hell has your character been doing with their time, that they're still weaker or less knowledgeable than, say, a human in their mid-twenties? Like, geez, the world isn't THAT big a place. XD

Really, outside of tossing in flashbacks and referring to ancient events, it feels like age is just a number that people get by planting their faces on their keyboard, and that sorta irks me. Might just be me having too high of expectations for them though.

@Nytefall Send a message to me, GrafRoy Zeppeli, and Rune_Alchemist if you want to discuss a character. Things get lost in this OOC rather quickly (It runs at about 10 pages a day)

@liferusher When Shino figures out Iravis just performed soul (Vassalisation? Robbery?) she's gonna become enemy #1 for the kitty.

The kitty that Iravis thinks is going to eat her and refuses to harm due to her beliefs. XD

And a lot of research. A lot. XD And then debating about different theories because no one had an idea of what was going on 3000 years ago.

Like, I wonder if they'll think we worshipped football helmets as gods or something based on archeological evidence. Or if they'll find evidence of LARPing, date the metal and think we were fighting sword-and-shield in 2015 as the main military method.

Hmmm...

The Difference between exorcism and purification.

Well, I would say that when you Exorcise a spirit you drive it off. Banish it or something alike it.

When you Purify a soul, you remove its darkness/evil/wickedness. Basically turning it back into a 'blank slate' that can freely pass on to the afterlife/be reborn/etc.

By the way Shino hans't figured out she was a bird yet. She only know that she taste and smells like bird but she doesn't think she is a bird.

Just hoping there isn't too too much I have to change with Athelgard...

Or that I at least get feedback before I go to sleep...

I'd rather get edits done soon...

Even if IPad writing is an arse...

According to whatever the hell Juliann does though, you don't really drive out spirits. You just straight up kill them?

That being said, it sounds like your definition of purification sounds more like just wiping away their personality and memories, not something that specifically removes their evilness...but then again, Valkyries weren't involved in the reincarnation process, and wiping people clean of their personality and memories sounds like something you wouldn't want to do to all the warriors that they bring to Valhalla, seeing how memories are attached to fighting skill.

Meh, just thought that her sacred flame having some sort of personality-wiping effect was odd, given what Valkyries were supposed to be.

Ok so how does becoming a familiar work? Sprinkle some magic dust and whisper some words or am I gonna bite off a chunk of flesh and seal the deal in blood and ichor

Edit: I've read the first bit on it. The vows.
Just curious about effect now. Is it flashy? Could it be flashy?

@Zelosse weeeeell...

I'm fairly certain the ritual varies.

It's probably best to get GrafRoy to answer on this.

I mean, I know it involves blood, sharing physical contact, contracts and runes.

But that about the extent to which I am knowledgeable.

To sign a contract with a familiar, a mage must make a vow to them, and receive a vow in exchange.

That's basically all that's been stated on the matter, so it just depends on how the people/creatures involved want to do it. Long as the vows are exchanged it can probably be as quick and mundane as just swapping vows, or as showy and elaborate as an entire ceremony.

I think Rabid did a contract post featuring Iravis and Meruin. That's probably helpful.

And if it can't be flashy, fuck the system. Needs to be as badass as the Servant summoning scenes or I quit.

Less of a Mage/Familiar contract there and more of just a magical contract. Guess you could still use it as a basis though.

@Zelosse I'll try and come up with what I remember... Though it might not be much help.

There was... The part where he cut her finger (I think)... And then they put each other's index finger in each other's mouth for a short while...

Then there was the part where they drew a magical rune on each other's chest. And then there was the contract part (which was sort of like a fixed reciting thing... But fuck if I remember).

@GrafRoy Zeppeli Haaaaalp... Plssss <_<
