so I've noticed a couple of people putting the Shepards barracks within the city. Um the shepards barracks are actually located outside the city...

@Demous Actually it's confirmed in game that it's within castle grounds. So we put it in an area of castle grounds that's been semi opened to public use by Lucina.

We had a discussion about it earlier in the OOC. And I mentioned something about it in my last post.

I just realized I forgot to update you guys on the situation with my grandpa. Right now, everything is okay. We thought it was liver failure, due to circumstances, but it's a growth on his pancreas. Which is still bad, but considering he's diabetic already, not much changes if he has to lose it. I'm gonna be around for at least a little while longer before we go up. If he does have to have surgery, we are going to go up and help take care of him and my grandma. My grandma just had surgery to put her stomach back where it's supposed to be, so she can't take care of both herself and him without help. She's totally fine, but still recovering by the way.

@AirBender Well I'm glad it's not as serious as it was before. I do hope he is okay and that it's nothing bad, hopefully they can just remove it if comes to that and the growth is nothing to worry about.

You know what... I'm curious: What do all of you think of Fire emblem fates? More specifically about the changes to the FE formula made by the game.

I didn't mind most of the changes, like getting rid of the durability system. Most people abused Armsthrift in Awakening anyway so it was about time, although durability did add a certain strategic element. Fates feels more balanced than some of the other games, and I'm glad they made Galeforce harder to obtain.

It could have gone without the repetitious romance Bond thing after you get married. That was just annoying xD Chapter 25 in Conquest could have been made a little tougher (you'd expect end game levels to last longer than 1-5 turns). Some of the characters weren't as strong personality wise as past characters in the series (especially male Avatar in Conquest). Just some of my criticisms of Fates, but I enjoyed it overall.

Ya... I have 3 major gripes. Though I haven't played as an old fan a few things bother me. First is the weapons triangle change... makes even less sense now, then there's the weapons durability which annoys me as it's been there since the first game, and finally the thing that pisses me off is the freaking backhanded way they put same sex coupling in the game.

I'm sorry and I know that that not everyone is interested in people of the same sex but I mean come on. One freaking character in each game? really? I mean seriously can you get more insulting to a fan base that's wanted the option for a long time? Is it that hard to make a couple bisexual characters and same sex characters for each game?

I've started calling Fates "Jumping in Front of the Protagonist Simulator 2016".

Mechanically, I love Fates, but the story really leaves a lot to be desired.

i preferred the challenge of Conequest to birthright. And then i felt instantly horrible when i chose Birthright and watched that play out before my eyes. T>T

still.. i was suprized at the amount of character deaths in each game. I was not expecting as many to be sure.

i do like the getting rid of the swords breaking thing, because in conquest with the upped difficulty, i barely had enough money IG to buy staffs.. T>T (i ended up getting the gold and level farming dlc so i could buy more)

Another particular thing was... they can lack same sex couples.. but they have no problem with incest. In birthright especially.. T>T every bond i made with the main character royals was just.. incest.. T.T yet they won't let two guys or two girls get married?? I mean.. really??

And then the part of the game where they pretty much force you to have a relationship with your butler/maid because of their ability that grants you all this extra power and dodge.. T>T *Sigh* but i found the butler/maid obnoxious.

@Draconequis Eh actual amount of shared blood is questionable at best especially when you factor in Revelations. So... they leave it just questionable enough to be overlooked.

@Draconequis But... I liked Felicia in Fates... She's kind of funny and cute in her own way.

@Demous I do agree the same sex couples thing was weird. How I don't think incest is as big a deal in Japan, or at least more accepted. I think they might have localized and changed some of the brother and sisters react to it all, granted I could be wrong. However they did change a bunch of characters... Hisame is now all about pickles, which is just weird.

To be fair on the same sex thing. . . . I find more people that are straight than gay or bi. I feel like the bi characters is a test to see how people react to it. I mean, personally, it makes more sense to not make everyone bi-sexual like in Fallout 4. There are still a lot of people that cringe at Same-Sex relationships and I feel that as company it's their way of trying to compromise while they can see how people react to it overall. I think there will be more in the next game, I'm just glad they added any at all honestly.

And what bothers me most is what @Apollosarcher said about them changing characters so much or throwing them into holes like "Pickle King" XD
