Lux Harken

Right about then Lux turned the corner. A smile caused his lips to twitch upward as he saw Jason actually up and...sort of talking with other people. With nothing to force him out of bed it was entirely possible for his traveling companion to still be sleeping despite the late hour.

The light mage waved in greeting as he made his way towards the group. With a polite nod to everybody else he directed his attention to Jason, a hint of a smile still on his face.

"Yo sleepyhead. I got us a job." He said, holding up the poster he had taken from the job board. "No need to worry about completely wasting away into a shadow."

The Strongest Wolf Slayer: Zayn Fade| November 12th X889 - Three Years Ago

Theme: Power

The forest was silent, the wind doing a simple dance across the air, gently brushing the trees. A clearing in the forest was fresh, the wooden trunks, burnt to a crisp and the once beautiful green is filled with a putrid offsetting black. In the centre of the newfound clearing was two standing figures, standing strong and with conviction. The two figures dashed at lightning speed towards eachother, colliding and creating a void of dead air. The void exploded, sending both figures hurling through the air but a shockwave of wind into the still forest, disturbing the dead sound and knocking over the tall trees. One figure, a tall lean blond with a piercing blue steel eyes, her stance was of fatigue and persistence. "Milli, it seems the town has a right to fear you." Came the powerful voice of Zayn. Mill, the other figure opened her mouth, her voice was strained and in pain, ”Ho- How could a little boy lik- A little boy like you be so…” ”Strong? Sorry, I didn’t mean to strike you in the throat. But I guess that just means no more chit chat, so when I beat you, you’re gonna point me in the direction of your guild master.” Without a second to react Zayn shot off, leaving a cloud of dust he kicked up and was now only inches away from Milli, she quickly acted, ”Great punch of the Golden Light!” Her fist connected with Zayns fist, the golden light of Milli and the Blue lightning of Zayn quickly exploded, both figures standing still, fists still connected. They stood for a second, their eyes locked before Milli’s arm exploded in a gush of skin, blood and bone, her face of shock and immense pain. She jumped back and was preparing for Zayn’s next attack however he just stood there, his smile was enough of a strike to her. ”Milli. An S rank member of the guild “Black Serpents” and this is all the power I need to defeat you. This truly is the best 15th birthday you could give me.” He slowly walked towards her, the wind was still calm, almost scared to move in front of him, ”Yo- YOU’RE NOT HUMAN!” Milli shouted as Zayn shot next to her, his mouth next to her ear, ”No, I’m a wolf slayer, and I was born from betrayal, where is your master?”.

Zayn walked through the small town, the people looked at him with fear and curiosity. He was holding something, no, someone as he strolled through the streets. He had finally came to his destination, the crowd of people behind him, watching from a ‘safe’ distance. His smile grew, slowly until it took over his whole face, his eyes, crazed with power. He raised his left hand, ”Lightning Wolf: Piercing Strike!” A bolt of blue lightning, tiny in size shot forward, going towards the huge double doors of the half wooden half stone structure. The doors exploded and wooden splinters shot off into the crowd. Several wizards quickly came to the entrance, angered and confused. Five, five wizards in total. ”Black Serpents! My name is Zayn Fade! And here is Milli, you’re S Rank wizard!” He barked, throwing the lifeless body of Milli on the ground, before the five wizards. The shock of her body connecting with the ground sent her head rolling from her body. Suddenly an uproar of power and magic was starting. The five wizards charged Zayn, where Zayn happily greeted them with full power. A ball of fire sizzled past Zayn’s face, while a spear went past his legs. Zayn was too quick and threw punches and kicks left and right, he felt a gut around his right foot and a nose against his left hand, he kicked up, backflipping in the air and looking down at the group. ”Lightning Wolf: Destructive Howl!” Zayn’s mouth opened wide, thousands bolts of lightning emerged from his mouth, spreading out through the air at lightning speed, striking the ground and the wizards for five seconds of pure carnage. To the outside world, a howl as loud as 5 wolves was echoing through the air. Zayn landed amongst the wizards, on the edge of death where a punch would throw them over. He picked up a scruffy looking guy, his beard was singed and his body was almost motionless, he lent in, ”I’ve defeated six of your mages, you’re a guild of fifteen, where are the rest of them!?” Zayns words were short but strong, and the scruffy old man simply smiled, ”You… you don’t think, we knew about you. We knew, so we were evacuating when you came barging in. Ahaha, good luck boy, because the master is pissed!” Zayn’s face was that of anger, but like a light switch being flicked, so too did his face. His mouth turned into a smile of evil, ”Don’t you worry, soon the rest of your pathetic guild will join you.” He stood up, dropping the man and turned to the crowd, they were shocked, some were crying. Their eyes were locked into the sight. From their view, they saw a young fifteen year old boy take out the powerful black serpent Milli and some B rank mages in one day. Zayn’s arm raised and he muttered some words before lightning climbed out of his hand and shocked the bodies, one final scream coming from the bodies before they lay motionless. The same lightning strike moved to the guild building, almost two stories high came crashing down in an instant, gasps seemed to be the voice of the town. When the destruction had settled and the dust had cleared, Zayn sat atop of the now levelled building with five electric wolves the size of humans surrounding him. He gave out orders to each of the wolves and in a flash, they rushed off in different directions while Zayn got up slowly and walked through the town, the people quickly clearing a path.

The Strongest Wolf Slayer: Zayn Fade | Two Months Later

Zayn was flying through the air, his body was that of lightning, splitting the sky as he rushed to his wolves. His destination in site, an island the size of the capital kingdom, with a dense forest and a talk castle in the middle, the real Black Serpent HQ. The sky cracked as he landed on the ground, his five wolves coming out from the tree lines joining him. ”Two months to find an island this big!? He was disappointed at himself but tried to forgive himself as he strolled through the forest. He was surveying the land, this was their territory and he wasn’t about to go and get himself killed for nothing. After two hours of sneaking, night had finally started to settle in, the perfect cover for him. ”Nine wizards left, two S class, five A class and two B class, with the master being the strongest. This should be interesting.” He was at the top of the castle now, his eyes shut, waiting for his time to strike. His five wolves moved now, they knocked down the metal doors to the castle and moved swiftly through the castle, their vision being sent to Zayn, another surveying tactic. The wolves were being chased now, circled and baited into the center hall where a flash of black struck, destroying the wolves and sending a shiver down Zayn’s back. Zayn stood now, breathing carefully before doing the unthinkable, attempting to kill a master. He jumped into the air, high, before turning down and shooting fast through the sky, splitting the castle roof and landing in the center. For just a moment it seemed as though time had slowed down for Zayn, the images of what the wolves saw were sifting through in his mind, as he saw with his own eyes the nine wizards ready to be killed. He landed and turned to a women, shooting a bolt through her heart flipping behind her and using her as cover from the next attack. The ground beneath Zayn shook and suddenly, a rock erected from the ground, send Zayn in the air and open to an attack. A beam of condensed raw magic shot at Zayn, he shot lightning off to his side, moving him out of the way but his left leg, brushing past it and pain shot through his whole body. He landed and was ready for the next attack. A wizard dashed towards him, getting in close she swung her fist at him, he held up his arm and slapped the attack away, her hand hitting the ground and erupting the ground. Zayn looked up in time to see three different beams of magic heading for him, ”Lightning Wolf: Lightning Fur Coverage!” , Zayn’s body was engulfed in a lightning cloak which absorbed the beams with ease, a quick sound of shock came from the wizards mouth before Zayn went on the offensive, Lightning Wolf: Lightning Fur Molt!” His lightning cloack seemed to move like a breathing creature, going from his back into both of his hands where he spun, shooting off short pin point beams. One, two and another. Zayn had shot his beams at the wizard’s spine, four wizards in total were dead because of Zayn. He looked up and for the first time, shock was his expression. The two S class wizards hadn’t entered the fight and the master too was sitting back. They were atop a balcony watching as Zayn had his way with the rest of the mages. Only three wizards remained on the floor with Zayn and knowing that the S class mages weren’t fighting, made him angry. He stood in the middle as the three wizards leapt towards him, he pointed his finger towards one of them and fine bolt shot through his finger, connecting with one wizard’s head, ducking under an attack he shot yet another wizard through the lungs before standing and stopping the final wizard, his finger on his chest over his heart. The wizard’s face dropped and Zayn showed no emotion as the beam tore through the beating heart. He tried to hide it, but Zayn was very fatigued, he was struggling to stand and he still had the hardest part of the mission to go. He slowly turned to the balcony but before he could do anything, a fist had punched him in the face, his body dropped like a sack of potatoes. He was picked up by the neck, he was staring at the face of a man with hell in his eyes. He was blonde with short spiked hair and had a strong build, ”Black Serpent was almost taken down by a fourteen year old!?” The man asked, Zayn’s vision was slowly fading, the sides of his vision was black, He struggled talk with his neck being crushed ”N… No, Black Serpent, WAS taken down by a Fifteen year old!” He struggled and turned, the grip got loose and Zayn kicked the man in the face, releasing his grip, Zayn flipped backwards to his feet and stared at the man who was now recovered and ready to pounce. Suddenly, the master spoke, ”Jewel, permission for use of your magic, has been granted.”. Jewel’s face was now excited and he let go off his magic barrier and Zayn almost dropped under the immense power in the air. ”So… this is the power of an S rank wizard. Milli wasn’t this strong…” The very mention of Milli was the trigger that jewel needed. Jewel in a blink was in front of Zayn, thrown off by his speed Zayn couldn’t react when his fist hit him in the gut, blood crawling up Zayn’s throat. The attack was followed up by a kick the side of Zayn’s neck, spinning him through the air. Before he even landed, Jewel was in front of him, that’s when Zayn noticed it. He put his arms up to block the next kick however it seemed like he had changed positions and his foot connected with Zayn’s ribs. Zayn was quick to his feet despite the pain and he watched Jewel carefully. Yet again, in a blink of an eye Jewel was gone. Jewel as inches away when he saw Zayn’s out of place smile, it was enough to stop the attack and send Jewel back. ”Why are you smiling you little shit!?” Zayn didn’t answer straight away, or rather couldn’t. His lungs were damaged and he was trying not to show it. ”You’re not fast. You’re using teleportation magic. Now, I know how to defeat you.” Zayn ran towards Jewel, who instinctively teleported behind Zayn ready to kick. Almost as fast as he teleported, Zayn turn, grabbing the wizard’s foot, his eyes were showing signs of survival and Jewel was on edge. Zayn kicked Jewel away, it was a soft kick but enough to separate them. Zayn was focused now, he only watched Jewels eyes, and he had to see where he was teleporting. Jewel was staring at Zayn, no, he was staring past him, behind him. Zayn turned, faster than Jewel teleported, his hand full of lightning. Blood shot onto Zayn’s face, his hand inside the body of Jewel. ”Bu… But how!?” Zayn smiled, ”Funny enough, you teleported onto my hand.” Zayn had removed his hand and Jewel fell backwards, not dead but barely alive. Zayn turned, his confidence was built up, and he stared at his next opponent, the look of despair shone across the brunettes face. A slight movement happened behind Zayn and he was nearly killed with one swift move, a sword impaled his right shoulder. He swung his leg out wide and kicked the blue fade of a skeleton into oblivion, another one popped up though, and another. Zayn was surrounded by four skeletons and the S class caster was on the ground behind them, smiling with pleasure. All at once the skeletons charged and Zayn jumped on one sword, kicking one in the head while punching another in the ribs. With each hit they faded, but just as quick as fading, another replaced it. A sword went inches past his face, his sweat was cut in front of him, he followed it by ducking another attack, shooting off a quick bolt of lightning at the wizard. She easily dodged it but the skeletons flickered. Finally, Zayn had found her weakness. Zayn ignored the skeletons and shot past them, getting cutting left and right but shot out of the group, ”If you need to dodge, your summons fade!” The brunette shielded her body with her arms but Zayn’s hand split her arms apart. She fell to the ground dazed, staring up at Zayn’s hand, inches away from her face. A tear came from her eye, she had seen what happened to her fellow members, she knew what was coming for her. But Zayn didn’t fire, instead he kicked her in the head, knocking her out. Zayn staggered to the center, staring the master down. ”It may not seem like it… but I really hate killing. But… He needs your ring. And if anyone got in the way, execution.” Zayn was sluring his speech, it was hard to even stand, let alone fight a master. The master fell from the balcony, smashing into the ground below. Zayn was observing him, his big structure and lack of shirt, was enough to scream strong. His white hair, parted down the middle and golden eyes were his defining feature. His words were of man who lost everything, ”So he sent some kid? He claims to be a god but sends humans do his bidding. Very well, I acknowledge your strength young one, so I’ll fight my strongest against you.” He changed stances, he was ready for a fight and Zayn could barely stand, holding onto his right shoulder, holding the blood. The master shot forward and his hand went through Zayn’s right shoulder, a scream of pain exited Zayn’s mouth. They stood there, Zayn’s body slowly shutting down. ”You came all this way… to die by one hit from me?” As his hand exited the body, Zayn grabbed his arms, ”You… Are not strong enough to kill me… At that moment, a wolf made of lightning jumped from the shadows and bit the master on the neck. As Zayn was ready to follow up on the attack, a single feather split the air in two as it entered the master’s eye. The master fell to the ground, holding his eye in agony and screaming. Zayn was standing over the master, but instead of taking the chance to kill him, he turned away from him, ”Draco! How dare you interfere with my battle!” A cloud of black feathers emerged from the sky to form a laughing human, his purple hair and sinister smile only made Zayn angrier. ”Zayn, you did what you were hired too. Take down Black Serpent And since their only member left is the master, who by the way, is on the ground paralysed, the ring can be ours.” Draco took a step towards the master but a shot of lightning exploded at his feet, stopping him in his tracks. ”Draco, you sadistic asshole, if I ever come across you again, I will kill you. Black Serpent is dead, my mission is over.” Draco slid over to Zayn, his head was next to Zayn’s, ”Kill me? You little brat, I welcome you to try.” Zayn pushed passed Draco, limping away, before turning back to Draco grabbing the masters ring and sending a feather into his heart, killing him, ”This is the second ring I recovered for Golden Laws, can you tell me what it is im helping with?”, Draco stood up and spoke, ”Surely you’ve learnt by now, if he doesn’t want you to know, you probably don’t want to know. And before you go, you have another mission, triple the usual pay. Lucas Ryder, my brother, master’s son, has another piece of this device. He’s a formidable opponent, he can’t be found, so have fun.”, Draco exploded into a cloud of crows, flying out of the guild. Zayn continued out the hall, ”Lucas… Ryder” .

The Strongest Wolf Slayer: Zayn Fade| Grand Magic Games | Present Day

Magnolia was a rich place full of wizard’s and Zayn was tired of this assignment. It was night when Zayn had entered the city. He quickly climbed a building and surveyed all of the city, [color=D2691E]”Lucas Ryder, Two years I’ve spent just looking for you. I pray that you are still powerful.” [/color Zayn was now 17, his search had led him to Magnolia, where after asking around, Phoenix Wing was now his guild. Zayn’s look had changed over the years. He wore dark blue formal wear and with a yellow cloak covering his right arm. The roof he stood on was suddenly covered with thirty lightning wolves. His right arm shot directly to his side, and almost immediately, all the wolves leapt into the air, spreading off in every other direction, ”Find me Lucas Ryder!”. And as if on cue, a swarm of crows manifested into Draco. ”Draco. I said the next time I see you I’d kill you. But this hunt as gone on long enough and I don’t have time to squabble with you.” Zayn was still looking at the city, refusing to turn for the worm. Draco slowly walked towards Zayn, stopping next to him and also looking over the city. ”Zayn. Some rumours are going around saying Lucas no longer has the piece. But someone in his guild would, maybe an S class wizard. This is no time to go on a power trip. Father has hired you to kill Lucas and get the piece. The Golden Laws are at your disposal, Phoenix Wing is one of the most powerful guilds, we may need the assistance of other guilds to even take them down.” Draco’s voice sounded serious and the usual sadistic sound wasn’t showing. Zayn loved the lights that shown through the night sky, ”Draco, Phoenix Wing will not fall to some five man guild. If you want to come close to damaging, do what you suggest. Gather an army of dark guilds, once I get this piece for you, build the weapon. But once my objective is done, my contract with you and your guild is done. So if Phoenix Wing hire me, then I will gladly take you lot down.” Draco turned to Zayn and so, Zayn turned to face Draco, their eyes locked. The wind was slowly blowing, ”Well right now you are still working for us. And once the devise is built, you won’t wanna switch sides so quickly.” Draco slightly turned, he was about to leave when Zayn’s right arm grabbed his shoulder. ”That other mission, the one you gave me…” Draco quicky cut him off by flicking his hand away, he gave him a slight look and they both nodded in agreement. Almost in sync, Zayn was struck by lightning, disappearing into the night sky while Draco exploded into a murder of crows. The rooftop sat silent, but it held many secrets.

Golden Laws | Somewhere In Magnolia | Present Day

The building was empty, the wind didn’t dare to move, and the presence of the Devil enlisted fear into the very world around. Andrew was staring at a painting on his cracked wall, he observed it every day, his son Draco walked up behind him, ”Draco, I heard Zayn has finally tracked Lucas down.” Draco slowly nodded, ”He arrived just moments ago. He’s already tracking him down. And he used to only be able to make five lightning wolves but I saw him summon twenty, his power has grown.” Andrew turned to face Draco, ”So the power of a wolf slayer is quite unique. One of the fastest forms of magic to grow. I’ve only ever met two other wolf slayers, and some of the things they could do…” Andrew stopped talking and slowly started to walk away, to which Draco followed, ”Once we get the key from Lucas, the weapon will be completed and we will wage war on every living thing.” Draco made a noise of agreement, ”Father. We are a small guild, trying to take on one guild such as Phoenix Wing, weapon or no weapon, maybe impossible, I suggest we ally ourselves with other bandit group and dark guilds, build an army.” Draco was ready for a yelling, but was shocked when Andrew turned to face him, he looked like he was thinking, ”That might not be that bad of an idea. We need some other guilds influence, and we can use them as bait if needed. Very well, go, speak with them. Don’t return with allies.” Draco tried to hide his smile, his father loved his idea. As he usually did, Draco exploded into a murder of crows into the night sky.

Angel Ferrara: Real Butt of Blind Jokes

Angel watched Kaia and Cyare's introduction casually, with no small amount of relief that it seemed like the two would get along. Nonetheless, his lower lip slowly drew into a soft pout as Kaia introduced herself. Gesturing at him was the last straw. The pretty boy crossed his arms over his chest and hmmphed quietly at his friend, shaking blonde hair out of one eye in order to stare at her, sulking.

"Don't get lost that easily. Told you where I was going..." he muttered.

Angel flicked her bicep once for good measure.

Yeah take that crap.

And then again.

Argus Leandros

Argus was glad that Sayatachi didn't call his bluff, and it seemed like he had made an a close to accurate assumption about her position from her response. He didn't dwell to much on that though, as the woman supplied him with a varied number of locals to choose from for the purpose of entertaining himself, which caused him to scratch his chin in thought. Castle and Garden's are a no go, not my style and likely to end badly if I end up causing trouble, same with the resort. Guess the bar would be a nice place to go, and if I remember correctly, a lot of them have Vision-Lacrimas as well, which'll likely be turned towards the games. While I really don't care for them, it'll be handy to know when they're over so I know when to book it back to the camp. As long as Isla keeps quiet, no one would ever know I was gone . . . hopefully.

He didn't know if they had some kind of surveillance magic or some other such contraption, which meant that he'd be completely screwed no matter what he did. After giving it some more thought, I nod with my decision, turning my attention back to Sayatachi.

"Well, Miss Sayatachi, I would be very grateful if you would lead me to a nearby bar that you suggest, preferably one that has a Vision Lacrima turned towards the games. I'd like to know when I'll have to put my festivities to an end and get back to meet with my fellow guild members." As Argus turned his thought to the guild, his thoughts once again flashed back to what his position was in the guild. This would be his third day in the guild, and yet, he still had yet to receive the guild mark. Maybe it was his fault for not really bringing the issue, but he didn't think he had to. Was that wrong or . . . was he just being kept by the guild, but not a part of it.

I mean, it makes sense . . . why would anyone want have a killer like you in their guild?

As Argus thoughts turned more negative, a slight shift took over his countenance for a moment, and in his head, he felt a presence behind him. But just as soon as it came over him, he shook it off, running his hand through his hair and letting out a brief sigh of frustration. Don't over-think it, don't dwell on it. It'll happen when it'll happen, don't dwell on thinks that won't help anybody. With his thoughts straightened out, he'd continue to follow Sayatachi to wherever she would be taking him, hoping she hadn't noticed his little episode.

Jason Alexander

"Uh..."

Wait, wait, wait, hold the hell on a second. When'd this place get so damn crowded? In like half a minute we'd gone from two people to four, all of us taking up this hallway. And on to of that, for that matter...

Why the hell is everyone else here so damn cute?

"Yeah, sure. Jason." I responded, a bit off-base in an understandable manner because of those damn sheepish doe eyes. I needed to avert my gaze quick, before I got sucked in...

Doing so, I found myself faced with another problem— Cyare Staunton, an elegant and shapely ladyknight type chick that Lux would get along great with, from first glance.

More specifically, the two Rooks on the field.

Crap. Go somewhere else, eyes, before you get us killed.

I took an intense interest in The bridge of Kaia's nose. It would have to do in a pinch, and was by far the safest option. Sasuga, me.

"So, you can handle it from—"

"Yo, sleepyhead, I got us a job."

It's a weird fucking day when that voice saying those words is a relief to hear.

I turned to Lux, affixing him with my usual impassive gaze.

"So what is it? And it ain't wasting away, it's living low-stress. Good for the heart and all that."

Grane Falo, Wes Gusto, & Dru | Crocus, near where the dome used to be
@Raijinslayer@Prince of Seraphs@Crimson Raven
Once the wizard released the necrotic gas, Grane could still see his path of escape. However, he couldn't leave the young wizard beside him to remain here and breath in the gas. Although he probably couldn't pursue the wizard that escaped if he saved the boy, it was still a better plan than losing a life.

Grane picked up the young wizard and teleported away from the necrotic gas and returned to the surface. Lying the wizard, Grane extended his hand heal. With a simple healing spell, Grane hoped it would be enough to help give the wizard a speedy recovery. Looking to the calling over the closest rune knights, he ordered them to watch the wizard until he returned.

Looking down, he teleported again and appeared underground to use a nullify spell. Although the gas was gone, the scent of decay was still in the air, which made tracking him by scent difficult. There was his vision magic, but couldn't see where anyone in the sewers. "Tsk... must have escaped to the surface somewhere, blending in with the crowd or hiding." With that said, Grane teleported back to the surface.

While Grane discussed a few orders to the few rune knights that were around, puppet walked towards the reptilian Council Member with a giant ball of brightly lit yarn floating above him like a balloon. "It has been a few years since we last met Grane. But someone else wanted to talk to you for the moment." Beside the puppet was Wes who stepped forward "As Dru said, I wanted to meet a council member and he spotted you earlier before you teleported away. During that battle within the dome, I was able to detain the man responsible for the shadows, Shutler, and imprisoned him inside a prism of light. But Dru came earlier and introduced himself as he covered my prism with his string of light. There's more I would like to talk to you about, but I hope dettaining Shutler here might be enough to gain my trust."

Hearing that Shutler was captured again helped Grane feel relax for a bit. He looked over to the wizard that he found underground and listened to the rune knights that he sent to find help for the boy "Sir, at the moment, most of the emergency doctors and healing wizards are not on this side of the city at the moment. The closest that could be found are currently at the stadium, Domus Flau." With the rune knight's salute, Grane nodded and turned to Wes. "Thank you for your assistance, but before I could help you, I still need to do my duty as a council member to gather information about what happened here. Then investigate why Shutler did this and guarantee his imprisonment remains how it currently is, imprisoned. Because of that I'll be busy for the time being. But if you still want to help, could you assist these rune knights and watch over this wizard for me?"

"Sure, I'll make sure nothing bad happens." Wes said without too much feeling in his tone, still hoping he could of talked to Grane sooner than later. The rune knights brought out a stretcher and lifted Dawn onto it. With that, Wes left with the rune knights towards the Domus Flau.

Monsoon | Crocus, Abandoned Warehouse
@Lunarlors34
He heard the rumors of Georgie acting childish, but didn't believe she would take her act this far.

"You...No, I don't think I'll spoil the surprise. It's more fun the less people who know right?"

Before telling Georgie about his request again, Monsoon noticed what Georgie was hinting about and nodded "The less the better. Helps makes things more interesting. Now, back to my request."

He glanced over to Manami, and brought his attention back to Georgie. "Games may be fun, but business can be fun as games too. For example, that book that you just received from Manami. Although you had a simple requested of receiving that book, it still gave you gave you the same pleasure to that of a game. So why not continue this game. I'm searching for a book by the name of Kleptotionap. A book that I'm sure you already know about. So in exchange for helping your guild members safely retrieve the book, may I borrow the Kleptotionap?"

Lux Harken

"Hah. If you put any less strain on your heart it would stop from sheer boredom." Came the reply. "In the interests of stopping that from happening and obtaining enough traveling funds for the immediate future the job I chose is a little on the big side. Seems some bandits don't want a bridge built. Our job is to make sure they stop bothering the construction workers."

His gaze wandered to the rest of the group that had gathered in the hallway. The unfocused stare of the girl Jason had been talking to hinted at a rather significant disability. Although from the look on her face she hardly let it get her down.

Poking her was a gentle looking...guy? Girl? Whatever the case s/he seemed to be friends of the blind girl.

And then there was...ah, um. Well, a bathrobed beauty. There was a strength in her stance and a steadyness in her eyes that was absolutely entrancing.

"Hi."

Kaia Iona

"Kai-a, uh, Iona," the mentioned mage sang in response, pausing ever so slightly as her mind trudged through the just woke up don't wanna work state it was in. Suddenly, she felt a hand grasp her own, though it didn't take much for her sleep-induced foggy brain to figure out where the extremity originated. Cyare's handshake was firm, (jeez you can have the hand if you want it) yet careful in a way not unlike how Angel insisted that he guide her around.

Not that she minded it, or anything.

Speaking of which, his protests on her arm only made it that much easier for her to locate him, as the girl rotated on her heels to smirk in his direction. Requisite eyebrow raised.

yes but what did he saaay???

"Diiid he now?" Two sightless slate-hued eyes batted at the air, and sulking Jungle Boy. "Good stuff about me?"

Claims of snoring are unsubstantiated!

Lucas Ryder

Where:Grand Magic Games Stadium

So Lucas had decided to come to the Grand Magic Games, the preasure of the Golden Laws wouldv’e endangered him if he were to escort Mitheria, it’s unfortunate since he wanted to help. But he was being bigger than his feelings for guarding and decided she’d be safer. He was walking to the stadium, his team leader, Nolan, was about to fight. Lucas hadn’t really seen Nolan fight, other than the time they took down the rogue S class wizard. It should be interesting to learn how he fights, it will be good for Lucas to learn his leader’s tactics. But along the way Lucas felt uneasy, like someone or something is following him. He shifted his look left and right, slowly, as if any sudden movements would set off a chain of explosions. A slight glow of blue was on a building, but when Lucas focused on it, it faded. He ran to the corner where the light came from, nothing. It must have been his eye, playing tricks on him. It’s been hard to adjust to only having one eye. But the thing that really annoyed him was his power was cut exactly in half, if he had all of it, he might even pass as an S class mage. He didn’t like to dwell on the thought, his life being as it was, he was thankful he still had magic. He continued his walk, the stadium growing in size as he walked closer to it, the crowd now being heard, the power of all the magic being felt and that blue light, off to Lucas’s eye. He snapped quickly, his right hand holding a ball of yellow light, ready to fire on the target. But almost as quickly as the light appeared, it was gone. Lucas’s body slowly relaxed, the ball of light fading. He wasn’t wearing his mask or his new attire, so he was easy to recognize as Lucas Ryder. He was slightly annoyed at himself, he should’ve worn his mask and new cloak, Golden Laws wouldn’t be able to spot him. Lucas’s pace quickened and he fully relaxed when he saw her, the recognizable hair, Amaya. He waved to her, ”Amaya, wait up!”

Frenzy Plant Vs Phoenix Wing A part two

Zander called out something named 'Riot Lily' to Xyster, which Nolan could only assume that it was some team technique to take him down since he was giving them the most trouble so far. The ruby sword that Zander held was thrown straight towards Nolan, piercing the ground before his feet. Three pillars of rubies surrounded Nolan in a triangluar formation and before he knew it, the sharp sound of the wind whistling pierced his ears. Xyster head leaped at him like a mad vortex of blades hopped up on pure caffiene. Nolan leaned to the right as she flew by him, the Harvester left a minor cut on his left arm. There wasn't time to think about a wound as minor as that since that creature of death was flying straight towards him again. Now he understood the purpose of this strategy. Those ruby structures allowed to rebound towards him over and over again like a pinball in order to restrict his movement, which meant that Zander was going to use this chance to strike while he could barely move from the spot.

With only quick, small movements he kept on avoiding lethal blows from Xyster's strikes though now his body was starting to get covered in cuts. At this moment these wounds weren't serious but if they accumulated even further then it would become much more dangerous though that was the furthest thing on Nolan's mind. Xyster was so damn fast that he was having trouble keeping track of her just to dodge her onslaught of attacks. Hell even if he could counter her, her forward momentum would break whatever footing his had and leave him wide open for another attack. To make it worse Zander was falling straight towards him with a blade with Nolan's name written all over it.

There was very little time for him to react to Zander's strike. White energy began glow faintly around him, outlining his body. A large arm sprung from his back and grabbed onto the blade tightly, keeping it in place as if it was lodged into stone. Nolan ducked down at the last moment before Xyster's scythe could cleave his head off, a lock of hair floated down to the ground. Holding his hands together, a small sphere of ashes formed in the space between them. "Ash God's Explosive Cinders!" In that small gap of time, Nolan thrusted an attack that was normally used for long range, wide spread destruction straight towards Xyster's stomach. It was an attack that expanded just before exploding.

On the verge of inflicting a decisive blow, Zander was nearly jarred loose from his sword when a giant phantom arm from nowhere interrupted its descent. Zander gritted his teeth, trying not to scream as his own arms felt like they were being torn from their sockets. By focusing on thinking up a counterattack, he managed to repress the pain, and through narrowed eyes he assessed the situation. Some sort of shaped spirit energy held his sword with an iron grip, but beneath it, Nolan was hilariously vulnerable. The Ruby Knight was in the process of considering whether or not he could draw his messer before landing when two things happened: firstly, light and noise indicated incoming projectiles headed right for the hanging warrior, and secondly, the Ash God Slayer released a cluster of volatile ashes at Xyster as she sped by. By leading the shot, courtesy of the Dullahan's predictable trajectory, Nolan managed to score a direct hit and send Xyster tumbling in a fountain of beige and black.

Growling, Zander let go with one arm, bent his elbow, and held it in front of his face. Joshua's magical blades struck him as he hung by one hand, glancing off his metal armor and chipping the ruby parts but scoring no direct hits. Snarking momentarily took the soldier's mind off the strain: "Shoulda been there for my lesson this morning." With that, he dropped from his sword, deciding not to risk a potentially catastrophic blow to Nolan's head. He landed on the sand a few feet away, and hurried to pull his messer from his belt. He wholeheartedly expected Nolan, now that his apparently uncuttable spirit arm held the ruby sword, to try and use it against him. At the very least, he knew as he watched the particles settle around a wrathful Xyster, he wasn't in this alone.

Whether anyone was listening or not, the Dullahan said in a static-laden coo, "Ooh, that was a good one. Riot Lily is a deadly flower. If you're that good, I guess that means I have to get...serious." Her smile melted away, replaced by an unremarkable frown. On the other side of the Ash God Slayer, Zander subtley averted his eyes. The next instant, Xyster's pupils vanished, making her eyes seem like brilliant emerald moons in a forest-colored night, just before they blinked out and became marbles of ebony. Into that pitch-black void, Joshua and Nolan would find that they could not avoid staring, a nebulous and fascinating infinity into which they could feel their life seeping.

Death Glare is creepy as hell, even to me, Zander decided before muttering, "Scarlet sword: Jagged Red Ruby" The blade of his messer became encrusted with red spikes, barbs, and spurs, now serrated, dangerous, and perfect for cleaving through defensive magic. The Ruby Knight chopped at the base of Nolan's spirit arm, trusting that whatever spirit energy the Ash God Slayer used was sympathetic in nature, as spirit magic tended to be, in order to deal some damage and regain his calvary sword.

If that attack were to collide with any other person they probably would've been out for the count, but Xyster was far from ordinary. She could take punishment and then dish it right back out to her opponents. It was to be expected from a monster such as herself. Still, why did he had a cold feeling tingling down his spine when he looked at her? It wasn't fear of her as a woman, but an apprehension of whatever she was planning to do. She muttered about getting serious and her pupils faded away, her eyes shined with brilliant shade of green and then after she blinked, darkness filled those orbs.

He couldn't look away. It was like his will was overwhelmed by whatever desire to stare into the abyss that were the Dullahan's eyes. Slowly but surely he could feel his energy being drained away like cup of water left out in a desert sun. "Tch, eye magic huh? Interesting, but I don't have time for cheap tricks." What Xyster should've remembered was that Nolan was capable of manipulating his own ashes even when they were scattered around and she was still standing in the field ashes from Nolan's previous attack. With a flick of the wrist upwards, not only did a cloud of ashes explode in front of Xyster, but it shot straight towards her eyes. The cloud of ashes had effectively cut her Death Glare off from Nolan and Joshua.

Zander's slash had cut the spirit arm due to Nolan's focus being shifted away for the moment and the ruby blade fell and pierced the ground.

Joshua cursed as his blades seemed to have little effect on the ruby clad knight. That armor was going to be a pain, if nothing else. Switching back to his regular sword, he watched as Nolan got out of his situation and had to respect his fellow mage. In that kind of scenario, Joshua knew he would've been finished unless he had help. Maybe he wasn't cut out for being a mage when it came to fighting opponents of this calibur.

Shaking his head, he pushed that last thought away. Such thinking would only lead to his defeat. He needed to focus on trying to win this thing. Zander seemed to be busy with the spirit arm so he looked over at the headless-freak. As it turned out, that was a bad idea. She did another thing with her eyes and when he looked into them, he quickly found himself unable to look away while at the same time, if felt like his energy was being drained. Not the most pleasent feeling. He quickly tried to think of a way out of this, but it seemed Nolan was experienced with this kind of thing, as his teamate summoned up a wall of ash that cut off the effects.

"Thanks!" He shouted before looking over at Zander, who had defeated the spirit arm. Cursing, Joshua began moving towards the knight. He didn't bother with possible projectile attacks after the last one failed. He was going to have to rely on swordsmanship alone with this one. Once he was close enough, Joshua drew his adamantine blade while at the same time aiming a slash at Zander's ribs. Even if the armor did protect him, the blow was still going to do some damage, at least he hoped.

By the time Joshua closed the distance, Zander had swapped his messer to his off handm regained his ruby sword, and whirled to face him. His studious eye turned to his adversary's technique, examining the fluid motion with which the one-sided cleaver was unsheathed and swung. "Iaido." The soldier predicted the blade's arc and the point of impact, and held his messer in front of his face, his only obvious weakspot. Knowing that his armor, with its gleaming manganese-brass constitution, could tank a blow anywhere else, he whistled and swung the flat of his blade at the side of his opponent's head, seeking to make Joshua see stars and perhaps think twice about engaging in a mundane sword fight with the Ruby Knight.

Meanwhile, Xyster did not stand idly by. Though the searing ashes hurt, they could not suffocate a being who could not draw breath, and without any noise the Dullahan advanced. Still empowered by Jack Be Nimble, she bolted forward, swinging her scythe to resummon her protective black aura as she did. When within range, she jumped forward and slid across the ashy sand, kicking it to either side before she lashed out with a rising diagonal slash.

Nolan trusted that Joshua would be able to handle Zander for the meantime though he figured that he would have to jump in and help him shortly. However there was one problem that he had to deal with and that same problem was heading straight towards him with a scythe in hand. After experiencing many of her attacks on a first hand experience, he figured out by sight for what kind of slash she was aiming for from the positioning of the scythe while she charged at him. Nolan simply took a step back as the scythe almost grazed his nose and ashes began to twist and turn around his arm. "Ash God's Wayward Wind." He threw a spiral of ashes at her, creating a whirlwind of ashes that blew her off her feet, the attack twist and turned violently before it threw her back down to the ground with excessive force.

Sasha

Lazarus wasn't making any sense and that worried her. "It was bound to happen." She said softly, "No, I don't think you should go to the infirmary" There had been too much going on, too much happening, and how many more of their members would be harmed in one way or another before this was over? "Lets go back to the hotel. I'll get one of the med staff to came over, okay?" She didn't particularly wanted to leave Lazarus, but figured he'd be okay with Trinity, and Karn. She looked over to Trinity and Karn, worried about the small shape shifter.

Michael

Michael was worried as well, but Zephyr was strong, and he seemed to be alright. "Zephyr will be okay, he seemed to be, before I got distracted by you and what was happening" Michael said "I can send a spirit to check on him" that was a good idea, and Michael did just that, summoning one of his messenger gods to check on Zephyr.

Jessie

"Don't worry so much, Ferris. It's food"
Jessie said with a small laugh, taking out her own mic as they made their way back to the commentator box. "Yeah, but then we can never know what will happen until it does! There's so much these contestants can show us, and they will always surprise us!" She opened the box a they arrived, entering, she quickly took her seat, leaning against the counter, looking back to smile at Ferris, turning her mic off. "Don't worry. The food won't bite"

Penny

It didn't take her long to figure out that Damian wasn't at the stadium, and she didn't want to leave without telling him. It also didn't take h er long to figure out that there had been a lot of stuff going on.

She retreated to the hotel, hoping that by the time she got there, she'd find Damain.

Jack Goran|Dragon Fang Hotel

Jack sighed, opting to keep an eye on Jackie while they were out and about. "Well then, let's go." As the group moved to leave he made a quick check to be sure things were handled, then followed the others, matching Jamie's pace. "You know, Frenzy Plant has reason to not want anything to do with your guild after the first day of the Games."

James Hunt|Phoenix Wing Hotel

James sighed and leaned back in his seat. "You have to understand that Master Jamie spent an extensive amount of time trying to get the Council to work with us, and not in the 'we wanna be in charge' way that you probably thought it was. We needed a book with information on Edolas in it, and the Council had it and refused to answer any attempt to contact them. So we went to them and then all hell broke loose. Turns out there were members of the previous Council selling information to various Dark Guilds among other things."

Amelia Averyonna, Elyse Yashia, and Jackie

@Caits @Roseletta @Zarkun

Amelia moved a bit behind Jamie, helping Rose keep an eye on Elyse and Sammy as they walked, making sure the young girls didn't run too far ahead of the group or too far away. Elyse kept on chanting 'ice cream' as she ran around, always returning to Rose after a few seconds.

Jackie smirked when Jack gave in and followed after them, listening to Jamie and Jack talk, though the conversation didn't interest her. She found the children in the group annoying but after a while, she would eventually tug on Jack's sleeve.
"What this 'ice cream' that has the child so excited?" She asked him.

Lucus Griffonbane

@Roseletta

"Oh... sorry for you loss. I know what it's like to lose someone as well. Luckily I was able to find her again, alive and well." Lucus said, paying for the necklace. "You should charge more for wares like this. Some people would pay good money for them. Still, take care. I gotta give this to my girl now. Take care."

With that, Lucus left with the jewelry, aiming to find Rose.

Trinity Stratos

"Arrows Magic: Fire Arrow." Trinity conjured another arrow into her hand, snapping it like the first and putting it in front of Karn for him to eat. She looked at Lazarus, worried, and at Sasha. The poor thing, it was clear she wanted, so much, to help.

And then Lazarus decided he wanted to get up. "Wh-whoa, guy! Are you sure you should be gettin' up like that? You collapsed just then." She looked where he had been laying on the ground, and then looked at his wounds. Though she wanted to tell him to just relax and they'd take care of it, she wasn't going to be able to move him on her own. She really didn't feel right making Lazarus walk, and she looked to Sasha. "Should we get a car? We shouldn't make him agitate his wounds... and I'd do it myself," and then she remembered that big bag of gold that girl that was with Nero, Ayame, gave her, "buuut I'm not broke! Alright. I can get a cab or something when we get outside, Lazarus. You won't have to walk the whole way. Just... take it easy. I'm surprised you can even stand, lookin' the way you do."

Angelo explored the marketplace enjoying his stroll and sin he speed at a hat shop and looked around. Angelo wasn't much of a hat guy but he felt he needed to bookmark this trip with something new. He looked around and found a nice top hat. This was worn by gentlemen or at least it was a trademark for old fashioned gentlemen with brains and care for women. It was a black top hat with a white band around it he put it on and made sure it fit before he bought it. Mark then got off his chest pocket and parked himself on top of hat to sit. Angelo laughed a little wondering what other people would think with his hat and a raven on top of it...

Rose Yashia

Rose smiled keeping quiet as within a few minutes she walked along with Jamie watching Sam and Elyse chant ice cream as she looked up at the sky in deep thought as she felt something was off or someone she use to know was somewhere close. She shaked her head coming back down to earth.

Amaya VanIsis

Amaya followed Ike to a near by ice cream sbop, where amaya cleaned herself off while ike bought her some more ice cream. She accepted the ice cream, thanking him before she headed out once again towards the stadium.

She sighed hearing someone call towards her as she stopped turning to see some masked figure with a hood.she waited till he got close before his scent caused a smile a she hugged him "It's so good to see you again Lucus....where have you been? Have you been alright?" she asked with a smile glad to see a fellow member of team powder keg.

Raiden Yashia

"I am better with my trusty wood but we been thinking about it, thank you for coming to my stall, I'm Raiden Yashia the owner , let your friends know" he said to his customer after listening as hearing he also lost someone but found her...kinda sounded interesting to him as Raiden watched him leave.

Lucas Ryder

Where:Grand Magic Games Stadium

Lucas was happy to see Amaya, he didn’t get to say a real good bye to her when he left for a while. Her smile was something he definitely missed. He never told her this but he really thought about joining Phoenix Wing because of her, it was her after all, that Lucas cared for. ”I’ve, well I’ve been better.” Lucas turned his head slightly, the eye patch of his eye being so much clearer to her Amaya, and he also knocked on his right arm, hearing the metal clang. Lucas’s face was of embarrassment, and he smiled an awkward smile while putting his arm behind his head, ”I was, well, ambushed of sorts. Ahaha, it really was pathetic of me.” He did an awkward laugh. Lucas’s attention was drawn to behind Amaya. That soft blue light was glowing once again. He wanted to tell Amaya, but he didn’t know what to tell her. His attention was returned to Amaya, eating her ice cream with delight, ”And where I was is a difficult question since I went to multiple places, but the point is, I’m back for good.” He smiled, placing his right hand on her left shoulder.

Lazarus
@caits
He pushed himself to his feet. "I don't need treatment. I need to rest. It isn't that bad." He circled his shoulders. "I doubt they would make a move whilst we are in the stadium." He took hold of her arm. "If you do leave the stadium, please be careful. They knew who you were." He sighed, letting go, trying to tell himself everything would be fine.

Charlie Portwing | Sometime Last Year | Somewhere East

The sound of soft crashing waves was quickly drown out by the sound of laughter end enjoyment. The sun beamed down on the citizens of the beach, the wind was slightly breezing off the water, causing a slight cool air to be sitting around the beach. But far off the beach was an old rundown house, a local legend about ghosts caused people to be scares off of it. Inside the house was different, very different from the outside world. Inside the small framed house was a whole other world. The inside of the house was almost three times the actual house. The inside was home to the very scum of the earth, assassins, crooks, thieves, you name it, and they were here. It was a bar of sorts, it had beer and music. The door swung open fast and the glowing of the sun entered the dark room, it was quickly killed off as the door was shut. Some people quieted down as the two men walked in, at least people thought they were man. Both of the figures wore masks, one black and another white with an off putting smile. Whispers began to circulate the bar, until one guy got up blocked their path. As quick as the man got up, was as quick as he fell in agonizing pain, holding his head. No one knew what was happening, but the man with the white mask had his hand dangling over the man body, whatever was happening, he was doing. He twisted his hand, the man stopped screaming, he stopped moving, he had in fact, cease to exist. This wasn’t an uncommon sight in this bar, people dying here, but for someone to do it so easy was the disturbing part. The man with the black mask stepped forward, clearly having the room’s attention, “Charlie… Portwing.” Suddenly the sea of people parted, leaving a direct line from the masked man to a dark, out of light table. The person sitting at the table stood, her long silverfish white hair ran down to her shoulders, her face showed no sign of a smile. ”I am the one you are in search for. Who are you and what is your aim?” Her blunt words cut straight to the point. The man took a step closer and Charlie’s hand shot to her sword at her hip, stopping the man from moving. ”We’d like to hire you for a job, a simple retrieving mission.” Her hand remained its place. Her eyes still narrowed and her body showed no signs of wavering. ”I said, Who… Are… You?” The woman looked to her right, slightly nodding to a man before turning her attention back to the masked figures. The man she ushered to charge him, sending him to his death as the masked figure’s body was consumed in an ethereal body shield, crushing the attacker into oblivion. Again, no reaction from the crowd, however Charlie was no worried. ”My name is not important, actually, both our names are not important. But if it means so much to you, my name, is Azazel.” Charlie lost her stance, she relaxed now. She slowly walked towards him until she was in arms reach. She was shorter then him, but she never lost her sight of the man’s feint eyes. She held out her hand in a handshaking manner, ”No one will be killed by me. Give me the details.”

Cyare Staunton

@Plank Sinatra @Caasicam @Silvan Haven @HereComesTheSnow

"Nothing malicious. He is very loyal to you, Ms. Iona. If a little tongue-tied when it comes to explaining why. You picked a good friend." Cyare answered, almost warmly for perhaps the first time that morning. It was quite easy to see the bond between the two of them. The Iona girl and Ferrara spoke and interacted with an ease born of familiarity, as though each already knew how the other would react to each event that occurred. Such musings, for most, might have prevented her from noting the other two mages present. Or from processing the information gleaned from their conversations. Cyare Staunton the Tactical Mage was not most people, even without her magic. With it she could comprehend the entire scene as easily as breathing.

And the first thing she noted was that the newest one, that one simultaneously greeting her and sizing her up, had recited the details of the job she had claimed. And the flyer he held was for the same job as the one she had taken the previous day. Her attitude cooled almost immediately, reverting to a reserved and formal address paired with a cool (albeit polite) tone. Not one without steel behind it, however, as the shift in her posture from 'almost relaxed' to 'highly focused' indicated.

"Hello. While it is no doubt a pleasure to meet you, I am afraid that job is taken."
