Endgame begins. I hope you all are ready for a wild ride!

Before you ask, Hantu, yes. It's about time Snider suffered some sort of thing actually happening to him from this boss. If you have a complaint as to the extent of it, feel free to PM me.

Is my character dead? If so, that's fucking bullshit and I deserve a better reasoning.

I don't think he's dead, but I do think he's pretty fucking banged up.

@Hantu Kongkek
Like Zarkun, I don't think he's dead. It was worded in a way that could mean that he's either out of commission (Unconscious, petrified, limbs broken to prevent him from moving, etc), or actually dead. It's up to interpretations.

But if I may be a bit blunt, Snider is just a human, and Gomory is a demon more powerful than anyone present. Add that to the fact that he was badly roughed up by his fight with Fenn, and the cocktail is someone ripe for the picking. It wouldn't take a lot to kill him in his current condition, and a Demon so fast than even half-demons have trouble noticing the movements makes Snider all but completely unable to react at all. So, to be fair, there's enough reasoning. But I don't think he's dead, otherwise it would've been phrased in a far more direct, and less ambiguous, way.

No, he's not dead. I wouldn't do that to a person's PC unless they were an absolute scumbag. As mentioned, however, he's pretty roughed up, and he will not be able to continue fighting. There's not long until the end of prologue, so you won't be sitting on the sidelines for long.

If you keep your character from taking any sort of damage or punishment whatsoever with a boss of this caliber, and then leave yourself open, this is the kind of thing that's going to happen. When Gomory hit his hammer with enough power to send it flying into a wall,
Snider was sent some way's back
When she sent multiply shadowy lightwaves at him, which are basically blade beams, he noticed immediately and did a backflip, avoiding every single one, as well as the ground explosion that followed. Rather than mentioning him avoiding the patches of ground she'd painted to make note of his situational awareness, you chose to have him repeatedly get distracted to mess with a boombox. In short, your human fought flippantly against a boss, but miraculously managed to never take a scratch. That's not playing nice, and reality ensued.

If by some Jesus miracle this is possibly open, thatd be pretty badass.

It seems that Jesus affords you an opportunity of some sort. There was one spot laid aside before we decided to close entry, which was reserved for @liferusher. Putting aside thoughts of competition, though, I'm not completely opposed to the idea of letting you in. Since we have a fair few in our crew, we should probably think about narrowing players down to one character each. We were assuming that we'd allow two characters per player when we decided to impose that limit.

What do you think, co-GMs?

@Lugubrious I'll agree if @liferusher doesn't come back soon or if she announces she won't participate. (Final Word goes to the GM)

@Monkeypants Not at all. You won't be ruining anything. :)

OK, I'll say it. I feel like that while what's happening at Gilgamesh is interesting, it kinda defeats the purpose of the Prologue and every one being made aware of the threat posed by the loss of the seals and what not. I mean, just my two sense, but the idea was everyone was sent to Barlour to investigate rising demonic influence, not launch an assault on the men and women commissioned to protect humanity. I mean, wouldn't that fit better under Chapter One material?

Eh, they can do what they want. Not everyone has to follow the main events; character-driven subplot is permissable.

I wouldn't worry too much about the seals. In Darksiders, it took six broken seals and a full hundred years before humanity was wiped out. And even then, the humans in Darksiders didn't have highly advanced technology or an untold number of magical demon hunters running about, so they're a lot better off here.

We're actually full.

However, certain players have gone under the radar, so you have a chance. You can make your attempt, if I think your character will be a fine addition, then you can join. We're about wrapping up the Prologue and onto Chapter 1, so you've also come at a good time.

Also this could be setup for some Chapter 1 side-story material. It's always healthy to have side stories going on too. After all, how many times have we as players of various games been interested in the sidequests over the main story sometimes?

So I have a question about our next IC post. Are we reporting back to our respective commanders and such and THEN the Council or what?

Well, looks like my PM to @Lugubrious was correct. The excrement has indeed collided at high velocity with the motorized air coolant device. I'll get my next post up in the morning ASAP.
