The scene opened before him, desolation. There was no memory of his arrival, no comprehension of a past, or even of an identity. He simply was. Even as he looked around, he became acutely aware of the sensation of pain, strong and everywhere about him, as if it had always been there, part of the norm, a fact simply not noticed for having been present since the dawn of time. In pain, he looked at a flat desert horizon, dry red clay dirt stretching out in all directions, and he could not move. Anguish, desperation, and emotion contorted his expression like that of a newborn infant, and he cried out in a wail to oblivion. The light burned him, and it was inescapable. His will struggled with legs that felt like lead weights, but he was getting nowhere. Gritting his teeth and with a new breath, his lungs on fire, this time a tinge of rage coated his silent sound, Mithias saw the radiant sky suddenly go black, replaced with beautiful constellations that slowly began to reveal themselves in a familiar tapestry of space.

Consciousness came to him inside this dream world. Wait, he had to get out of here! The sound of waves soothingly splashing over the shoreline began to fade-in as he began to sink into the ground. There was no shoreline. No! He had to get somewhere... He couldn't let himself die here. There was someone who needed him, someone he still lived for. Even on the brink of death, the soul would not forget. Mithias felt his heart beat hard in his chest. The smell of blood filled the air around him, and he belted out the one name that kept him grounded, one he would fight for, forever.

The fire was quite hot, as to be expected, and the smoke was thickening as it rose upward in a black rush. Heroically, the young agent Quinn pulled a full sized man from the wreckage, only to be shocked even further into action upon seeing the degree of his wounds. Every bone was broken. The right arm was completely blown off, leaving only splinterd bone behind. The whole right side of the vampire's body was raw, ribs bare, and half his face was shredded down to bone and fang. Any human would obviously be dead. Blood ran from Mithias like from a sopping sponge picked out of a full bucket, and he was completely unresponsive. Singed, burned, and broken, the body could barely be described as intact. Could vampires truly survive something like this?

Nonetheless, the Soldier followed his training. Innocent of hate and prejudice and even fear of vampires, Lucan did what he believed was right. Sirens were drawing closer. An innocent transgression, a touch of his own lips as he wiped away the sweat, and it was too late. Surely it was the adrenaline that had put him into a mental fog as he tried to keep counting his presses. The blood had been willingly tasted, and instantly it seized him, bending over his already amenable will. In the heat of the moment, it was hardly noticed at all. The possession coursed through him and strengthened his resolve. He must revive this vampire... anything for the master.

Then, a rush a psychic energy exploded from the vampire, a wave bespeaking rebellious desperation... and raw power. It could have been felt by any psychically inclined being for miles. Immediately, Lucan knew Mithias was alive and present and intimately focused on him. Even in the bloody socket that once held an eye, a small, fearsome red glow began to smoulder, staring unblinkingly at him. Mithias instinctively sought to survive, and Lucan felt his desire. Almost in a trance, the young man stared down at that terrifying, skeletal, fanged maw that weakly lay open like a beartrap. The sight would have made a badass tattoo. He felt himself slowly reach for his own collar, suddenly and inexplicably willing to give his own blood. For he belonged to this creature, his master, his god...

Mithias was just beginning to lift his head and move his remaining arm as his vampire body began to heal at the most essential level. The thirst awakened first, and it was primal, instinctive, and very powerful. Had his awareness not reconnected just in time, had he not had centuries of resisting the beast, Mithias would have taken Lucan's offer and devoured his life. But he hesitated. This one was his.

"EMT! Stand aside!" A large fit man forcefully pushed Lucan out of harm's way and clamped some kind of well-built muzzle over Mithias' mouth. He had on protective clothing and gloves. Seeing the vampire was becoming responsive, he quickly took out a taser and without a second thought, re-immobilized him. Lucan felt Mithias' consciousness waiver.

Another man, also emergency response, dragged Lucan away despite his protests, explaining about the dangers of injured vampires. He completely hadn't noticed Lucan about to bear his neck a second ago. "We'll take it from here... We're taking him to Major General in the city. They're the only ones with the facilities to treat a vampire... Hey, you don't look so good either. You better get yourself checked out."

Deon Erickson

It wasn't to hard for Deon to tell that SOLDIER knew he was present at the scene. He could practically hear them screaming his name. Few people ever take note of him, and rarely with such anger. Mostly it was with fear or respect. He was good either way in most cases. Only those who had the nerve to get in his way would use that kind of tone with his name. But for what ever reason those who had spoken his name took a different priority. Deon watched from across the street as the agents stormed the club. In a way, Deon wanted so much to be inside when they stormed the place. He wanted the feel for action, to have those he slays cowering at his feet. But he wasn't, which is better for the long term. He's already making things harder now that people know he is back after all these years. Like many officers from the Nightwars, he had been in hiding. Though his mistake tonight may have cost him some much needed time. He would have to speed up his plans to compensate for his actions.

Erickson wanted so much to taste the blood of his enemies, so much to bring fear back into the minds of the mortals. But that wasn't his job tonight, tonight was a night for allies. Not for creating fear. Though, if he could do both, he would. Deon pulled a burner phone from his coat pocket, he kept them handy for times like this when planning ahead was the key. He dialed his desired number and held the phone to the side of his head. "We're stepping things up, get going." He hung up and crashed the phone in his hand. Leaving nothing left to track, even if there was something to track from.

The former warlord always loved a good fight, and with SOLDIER forcing him to speed things up, this gave him an opportunity to do so. He was going to have to change so many plans now to compensate for the fact this his presence is now know. But he was a smart man, he could make things work in the most horrible of situations. It's about winning the war, not the battle. Deon Erickson walked up to the club shedding his trench coat letting the two M14s drop and hang freely from their respective slings. The guns had no stocks now, and had shortened barrels. Loaded with incendiary rounds, the 7.62 bullets could do anything from cutting through metal to crippling a mortal with a single shot. Then again, most mortals could only take a few shots before they were forced to stop fighting.

Deon would wait until the agents had taken a foot stand inside the club before going in. He would start by taking out the exterior guards, then he would start by picking off the bravest of the fighters. Leaving the rest to buckle down as Deon laid waste to them. It was a really vague last minute plan, but he was limited on options now. Maybe if he took out these agents his name wouldn't spread so fast, could by him a few more days. And if not, his name was already out. This way at least he can have some fun.

Kathryn Miller

Normally Kathryn could survive a few bullets. But as her father kept shooting, one of the Anti-Material bullets had grazed her. When the bullet made contact it almost intently started ripping through her flesh. Kathryn wasn't sure what the bullet was doing exactly, or how it was doing it, but she could smell the many chemicals working there way through her. They didn't get far though, they soon stopped their disintegration progress only a couple seconds after contact. She wondered what would happen if one had hit her in the chest or head, and not just graze her arm. Her reflexes were fast, but Hank was able to level the playing field with the gun in his hand. Though if he ran out of bullets she could gain the upper hand. Though the blade could be a problem. She was still faster.

Kathryn took cover behind one of the parked cars by the docks. She wasn't sure if her father had seen her take cover, that wasn't important. She needed to rest, she was still weak, and what ever that bullet had done to her it was still taking time for her systems to repel it. She was about to run again when she heard the sound of her father pulling back the hammer on his gun. Standing up now she'd be shot, if she stayed he'd get a good angle and she'd be shot. She had to hope his aim was still off.

She ran out from behind the car in a panic to get away, though she didn't get far before noticing that no shots were being fired. In fact, she was even having trouble hearing Hank at all. She turned to see her father on the ground, his heart weak, skipping beats. "Oh shit!" She screamed as she ran to her father. He had one hand loosely gripped on the gun, and one hand holding his chest. She didn't know what to do, she cared for her father but she knew the moment he had the chance he would kill her. A hospital, that was his best bet. She went to pick him up, only to cut her knee on the dropped blade her father once had. It burned, it burned more then anything that has ever touched her, even more then the bullet that tried to eat away at her. Took longer to heal then it should have as well. Once she did heal, she grabbed the gun from her father and threw it as far as she could before dragging Hank to the nearest car and taking him to the hospital. Hank would live, though Kathryn would be long gone by the time he came too.

Katya and Ashley entered the building quickly making their way to mister Jones. "Mister Jones, we have orders to question you about a few unsavoury people in the community, if you catch my drift. So if you have no problem with this we can proceed to your office where we may continue this conversation." Ashley continued behind the front desk of the Bar. She pushed the cashier into the cupboard next to it and set about getting ready to defend it should things go up shit creek. Sonja on the other had entered through the back and began to search through files in the back to see if he had any information on their target Deon Erickson.

Mister Jones frowned at the mess that the agents were creating. They were going through his files. The vustomers were becoming nervous, and most seemee to be edging towards the exit. If they made a run for it, they would stampede past the agents and knock down any of them that got in the way. He turned to Katya and looked at her with a bored face.

"Agent Katya Moreno, while I always appreciate people coming to my club no matter who they are or what they do, I do not appreciate it when they go through my private files. Especially since they have not shown me that they have a warrant to enter here, or to look through my buisness files. So, either show me a warrant, or I call my lawyers and get them to call up your commanders and have you reassigned for harrasing me and my customers. Or you could tell me what you are looking for and pay me for the information. What's it to be Agent Moreno?"

"Mister Jones we had orders to come here by SOLDIER HQ. Now i know your a well respected 'Business man' around these parts so if its possible id like to have a meeting in your office right now. My team have orders to protect themselves and the civilians inside the club should it come under attack." she walked over to the office door opening it slightly before motioning for him to enter first. "Maybe we can swap information. You tell us what we want to know and ill tell you what you want to know."

Mattias entered the building through the front with Katya and Ashley, remaining vigilant. Then that club owner showed up and gave his little spiel on lawyers and other such bullshit when he was clearly a law breaker himself. The werewolf eyed up 'Mister Jones' carefully. This was one of his least favorite types of scum. The ones that believed themselves to be nigh on untouchable in all but the most extreme of scenarios. He could practically smell the dishonesty wafting off of him. Mattias lit a cigarette, and rolled his eyes at the entire scenario they found themselves in. It would be much simpler to kill the man and be done with it right then and there. Of course he couldn't do that though. It would ruin any chances he had of operating with Soldier again in the future. Too many witnesses.

Allison entered the building from the front as well. She however remained at the entrance and stood guard. Meanwhile Katya and Ashley dealt with a man named Mister Jones. They headed for the mans office and it seemed like Mattias joined them for now as well. Well, while I have to wait here I can at least have a smoke in the meantime, not like they will be finished before my cigarette will be. she said as she pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.

"...and what will we do with him? Wait, are you sure you can keep him alive?"

"I'm sure I can keep him alive."

"Alright. It's just... creepy man. What if he finds out? I mean, this is the vampire that convinced the rest of them to fight for us. We shouldn't be..."

"And he is also the reason vampires still exist. Have you forgotten? We get rid of him, and we can get rid of the whole lot of them. The whole thing shouldn't have been going on for even this long. We don't need the Blood Compact anymore."

"Jeff. Shhh... Be careful. Fuck, what if he's reading our thoughts?"

"Not this one, Jeremy Sanishard."

"The fuck Jeff! Don't say my name!"

"Ha hah heh..."

"You're a real fuckhead Jeff. He had better be worth some serious money. Who wants him anyway?"

"I don't really know. I'm sure the guy's got enemies. All I care is what they're paying. I bet vampires have a lot of bank. Help me lift his dead ass into the pod. The chains are getting in the way."

*some sounds of lifting, struggling, splashing*

"Good. Now let's go get cleaned up. Doc wants to inspect him. For all anybody know he's just a crazy vampire. The report of his sudden death should hit the news in a few days at most."

Mister Jones shook his head at the agents. They were disappointing. "Agent, anything you know that is worth something, I know already. Do you even know why I am still in buisness? I've been doing this kind of work for a very long time, and yet I have never been arrested, and as you can see, I still live. Have you ever wondered why? Why I am not dead? Why I am not rotting in some prison cell for the things I have done? It's because anyone of importance knows that if I go down I take everyone with me."

He stands up and walks to a window overlooking the club. "With one call I can have you lot reassigned to patrol Antarctic. With two calls, I can have your families sent to live in the Sahara. And with a third, I can make you and your families seem as if they never existed. So, cut the shit. What do you want? And how much am I getting paid?"

Mattias shifted his position slightly, so that wrapping his hands around that pompous bastard's throat and snapping his neck would take a second less to perform. He wasn't nervous at all anymore, just pissed. Some people didn't deserve to be walking around. Mattias hated Jones' type. "What about me? What kind of dirt do you have on me? I don't exist. See, the way I see it, I could just kill you right now before you could dial 9-1-fucking-1. You know what? Fuck it." And with that, Mattias punched Mister Jones so hard in the neck that it shattered upon impact, killing the man instantly.

...........................

At least that's how it played out in Mattias' head. Instead, he grumbled a little and blew a ring of smoke into Jones' face.

That'll show him.

Katya growled under her breath. "Information on Deon Erickson, how much do you want for it ill get SOLDIER to transfer it." she pulled the crime lord to one side. "i also need to know what happened to a comrade of mine from the nightwars. A man called Hank Miller. Add it to the total of Deon Erickson but dont say a word about it." she whispered to him, trying not to look shady.

Mister Jones turned towards Katya and had a big smile on his face. "Excellent. See, it pays to play nice. Currently I have little information on Mister Erickson at the moment, though a bit more than you apparently. However, come back in a week and I will havee more for you. As to your friend Hank Miller, that is another matter entirely."

He went to his desk and got out a pen and paper and started to write. "This is the price for the info you want on both Erickson and Miller. This price is non negotiable, and should you try to betray me or find someone else who is cheaper, I shall do everything in my power to ensure your missions failure."

He handed Katya the slip of paper and held out his hand to her, "Do we have a deal agent?"

The paper read one word, and one word only.

Deon Erickson

Deon knew a few things. First, Soldier knew he was here and alive. Second, no one else other then Mr. Jones and Soldier knew he was here. He knew Mr. Jones could keep his mouth shut, unless Soldier payed him off. But he wouldn't get involved with people who had too much attention on themselves. Despite it being late at night, the streets were still busy with people, cars ran through the streets, people were packing the sidewalks, and Soldier was sitting right there with a collection of automatic weapons at their disposal. And if unable to hide said evidence, things would look pretty bad if something were to happen.

Deon was a lot faster then most vampires, but he was almost an old blood by all technicalities. His first step was to disable Soldier's vehicle, making it so they would have to leave it behind and be forced to walk until someone could pick them up. Once the guard inside the vehicle was taken care of he put on his uniform and went to work. First removing the spark plugs, then braking the connection with the battery, then crushing the radiator to the point where it was reduced into a small ball. He let it drop to the ground as he closed the hood. Some people were watching as he preformed his actions.

He just smiled as he tightened the grip of one of his rifles, he kept the other one on it's sling, not needing it for the blame he was going to put onto Soldier. He raised his rifle to the crowed of onlookers, at first everyone was shocked and confused, but once the first burst of bullets started cutting through the crowds everyone got the idea. He unloaded the entire clip before running off at the pace a mortal would run if he were trying to flea a scene. There wouldn't be much evidence that could even be remotely linked to him. The rifles shot a 7.62 cartridge, common in many rifles, and the bullets had no prints on them. What could even get close to registering to a print would date back to a time long before finger prints were used, leaving it useless.

Less then a few hours Later Deon had cleaned himself off, he got more blood on him then he meant to. He hated blood on him in non working hours. It was time to relax now, time to unwind, time to think about the meaning of life and the meaning of immortality. He was now in a refurbished office building, where one of the many businesses he owns (Under different identities of course) is waiting to be opened. Though it never will, it's being converted into a Forward Operating Base for events Erickson has planned. From the windows he had a great view of the New York City skyline. The only thing separating him and the outside world now was the Hudson river, a collection of docks, and some really pricey bullet proof glass. The building may not look it, which is the point, but it is the next best thing to a full fledged fort. But the nice and fancy upper section of the building was not important right now, what was important was what was in one of the sub-basements.

He went down the express elevator to sub-level 7-b. As deep as the place went before hitting one of the maintenance levels. He stepped out into the hall, it looked nice, it seemed like any hallway in an office building would look like. The only difference was that it was at least seven stories underground. But the lighting was all automated so it was very well lit as Deon walked his way down the hall. He walked his way to the far end of the hall to a reinforced Titanium door. It was a prison cell, designed to hold some of the biggest and baddest vampires and werewolves ever to walk the earth. But that's not who he had with him today, today he had an annoying pest who made his job as a Colonel during the Nightwars the worse pain in the ass ever.

Deon entered through door one into the airlock. The room in between the cell and the hall was airtight, making it that much harder to get past. With that it also acted as a kill box if a prisoner did find a way to get out of the first section of their cell. Once the first door was closed the room re-pressurized. It felt weird on his body as the pressure built up but he knew he would be fine. The second door opened, the pressure remained about the same as room two of the cell was also airtight, and kept at the same heavy pressure as the airlock. Any mortal that was in here would surely die, though if Deon wanted to he could cut off the pressure and let what ever mortal he wants to survive in his cell.

Deon sat in a chair across the table from his guest. He laid back as he locked eyes with the man in the chair across from him. "Hello there old friend." He greeted him. "Well, friend is a poor choice of words. ore of Hello Asshole who doesn't know when to stay out of people's way!" Deon looked as if he was about to kill the man in the chair across from him. Both of Deon's hands were pressed against the table that was not welded, but actually part of the floor. The whole room was one piece other then the dog bowl he left in the corner of the room and the three inch thick braces that were molded to the wrists of the chair around his prisoner's arms. "No, no. That's an improper way to greet my guest. Even if you are a total dick." He sat back down, calm as if nothing had happened. "Do you know why I brought you here? Mithias."

The pain for the most part finally left him, but the weakness it left behind was just as relentless in its memory. Mithias awoke to find himself properly bound in some kind of interrogation room that was eerily reminiscent of the ones Soldier used. His right arm had grown back, only to be shackled against the arm of the chair and rendered useless again. His body had healed enough to support vital functions, but he was weak. Looking down at himself, his shirt was still torn open in front, and vaguely, he recalled a young man attempting to save his life. Mimicking the thoughts of his most recent influence, Mithias regretted that his elegant suit had been completely destroyed.

A man, no, a vampire, sat across the table from him. He looked middle aged with brown hair and brown eyes, and his voice flickered between barely contained malice and the joy of a sadist's anticipated satisfaction. Mithias knew right away that, like most vampires, this one was another psycho. He couldn't recall much of what had happened, but he knew he had ended up in the wrong hands.

With dirty, blood encrusted and singed hair half hanging in his face, Mithias stared blankly at the vampire at first. Finally, the memory returned to him, and he spoke the name as it came to him, "Erickson." The Nightwars hadn't been that long ago, and Mithias had studied his enemies well. Deon Erickson hadn't been heard from for several decades. It appeared the slithering snake had survived.

"Do you know why I brought you here? Mithias."

Mithias briefly pulled up on his arms, realizing he was immobilized. He really was at his enemy's mercy, a very disconcerting predicament. Had he been someone else, he might have made a mocking speech about being here so that he could have his heart ripped out and watch it eaten before him as he died. ...But he really didn't have the energy for all that. Hunger panged him, and he focused back on Deon with disdain. There was a real good chance Erickson was going to end him. Mithias could only hope there was a some reason he hadn't done so already. Finally, the grey knight chose his answer. "Revenge. ... You want to kill me, slowly."

Deon Erickson

It seemed it was taking time for Mithias to get use to being pinned the way he was. Truth be told, Deon would as well. The pressure in the room made it hard for any bodily function to work. Especially when your bodily functions were exposed for the world to see. Then Deon Erickson got the answer from his table buddy. "Revenge. ... You want to kill me, slowly." Erickson laughed at the remark. "Kill you? If I was going to kill you I'd..." He stopped to think about what he was going to say. "Wait no I would pretty much do this just to make you watch as I tore you apart. But no. That's not why you're here tonight." Deon stood up form his chair, though since the chair was apart of the floor it didn't move when he stood up. "No, at first I was going to bring you here to mindfuck you. Then send you back out into the world to cause some mayhem and distrust with the mortals." He paused, doing a small chuckle as he starts walking around the table. "But I couldn't. Which I find odd for many reasons. The first being, no one can totally block my ability, maybe resist it but no one can block it. Not even old bloods. Now granted I am smart enough to know not to do it to them because they can resist it and would get totally pissed off." He was now behind Mithias, continuing his speech. "I am guessing you have a gift that Soldier was unaware about. Which is good to know about now but that means I have to find a new way to cause panic within the ranks of Soldier. But no worries, I prepared for a situation like this. Though... they all involved you being dead."

Deon walked around to the opposite side of the table again, leaning on the back of the chair, looking Mithias dead in the eyes. "But I have other reasons to keep you alive now." He smiled, at his guest. "I know what you're thinking, I am some crazy psychopath that plans to end the world killing all mortals, well you're wrong. That would be the crazy thing known As Fergus O'Brian. But in about thirty or so minutes that won't matter. What does matter is that I don't feel the same way as our crazy friend. You see, I don't want to wipe out the mortals. I just want to put them back in their respective places as servants to their gods. The problem is the mortal to vampire ratio is not super good in our favor Mithias." He let go of the chair, getting close to the rebel vampire. "I do plan to limit their population again. To a more... manageable level. I just need you out of the picture to do that. You inspired too many vampires in the last war to join the wrong side. So now, I am going to let you sit in your cell to hear all about the new war well your mortal friends die. Then once the war is over you will be tried for treason. Then you will be killed very slowly and painfully. I can promise you that."

The ambulance charged off, practically having to kick Lucan to the street to deny him a ride in the cabin. Thankfully, the other Soldier operatives were able to intervene and calm the freaked out youngster, nearly dragging him back and assuring him the vampire was in good hands. Promptly a caravan was begun, meeting up at the big city hospital shortly thereafter.

Elmhurst was a huge complex, their facilities top notch for the country. The ambulance had gone straight into the emergency entrance, but the rest were forced to park and filter through the main entrance. It was late afternoon, and the place was crawling with people walking in and out. The building maps were confusing, and even color coded hall markers failed to give any adequate sense of direction. Finally, they found the appropriate waiting room and their anxious vigil began.

Day turned into night, and the Soldier operatives had all left except one. Strangely, he wasn't the only one that had shown up concerned for the same patient. A metro-looking blonde in a suit was also present, gathering what information there was to be gathered. As the hour dragged on, the lady at the desk refused to give any solid answers, and it became clear that both of them had the same purpose for being there. They might as well talk.

Katya flinched as she heard the shots fired outside the club, followed by sirens. fuck she thought to herself as the sirens grew louder. "EVERYONE BACK TO THE VAN. WE GOT A SHOOTER ON THE STREET" She yelled sprinting outside Ashley following real close behind. When they got to the van Sonja had already gotten into the drivers seat hearing the shots first being outside. A voice came over the radio in the Van. "Hunter Squad return to base immediately. Theres too much heat on your squad. The Merc and the Werewolf can continue to operate if they want to find out who shot up the civilians."

(OOC Sonja and Ashley are now Inactive being grounded in the SOLDIER base until SOLDIER can prove that they didnt shoot up the civilians.)

"Allison, you and Mattias are gonna have to find out who gunned down the civilians. We cant help out in the field until you can clear our names." She said into the radio to make sure they knew.

Kate Porter & Liam Kelling | 2100 hrs | NYC USA

"Liam, you sure this guy will be able to help us." The short white haired woman said leaning against the wall outside The Cupid's Kiss. The man stood next to her took one final drag from his cigarette and quickly discarded it."From what I heard I'm sure he'll help us a little even if it is just with information." He said pulling his jacket forward a bit to make sure his .44 Revolver was still in its holster. The Woman beside him did the same. Their 'heavier' weapons had been left in a dead drop for them to go back for later. "Kate, whatever you do, Do not under any circumstance look him in the eyes." The man entered the club, his companion following closely behind. He made his way to the bar and ordered two light beers. He leaned over to the waitress behind the bar.

"Excuse me miss, is your boss in. I must speak with him, it is a matter of utmost urgency. Tell him a Mr Kelling and a Miss Porter are waiting for him at the bar." He said pulling down his hood, the woman next to him following suite.

The waitress smiled. “Sure thing,” She said in a sultry voice, pressing a hidden button beneath the counter. “Mr. Cupid? There are some kids here that would like to meet with you. A Mr. Kelling and a Miss Porter.” She giggled at the word kid. There came a single reply.

“Send them up.”

Liam and Kate would feel a warm feeling run over them, somewhat easing any worries they may have. The waitress pointed at a flight of stairs across the room guarded by a rather big and rather angry looking bouncer. The bouncer nodded at the waitress. “Just go right up those stairs and take the third door on the left.” Liam and Kate would comply, and the bouncer would step out of the way to allow them access. Once reaching the top of the stairs and going further down the hallway, the sounds from the floor below would slowly devolve into nothing more than a dull din. The third door on the left would already be open. Once entering, Liam and Kate would see Cupid sitting across from them at a lavish oaken desk full of scattered papers and old tomes written in foreign languages. "Please," He would say, gesturing to a pair of leather chairs, a rapturous smile on his face. "Be seated."

Mattias wasted no time leaving the club, bolting out at speeds no human could possibly match. He struggled to maintain control as coarse hair began to erupt over his body, the night being the only thing concealing him from the eyes of passerby. The scent, the scent! Mattias stopped in the middle of an alleyway, lighting a cigarette. The canine like features plaguing his body would slowly fade away with each puff. There was no reason to panic anymore, the target was right here in the city.

Kate Porter & Liam Kelling | The Cupids Kiss | NYC USA

Liam smilled back at the waitress as the pair made their way upstairs towards the office. The entered the third door on the left and nodded to the man behind the desk. They each took a seat on the expensive looking leather chairs. "Mr Abatangelo before I begin i must say it is an honour to be in the presence of such a successful 'business man' such as your self. Now I've been told from a few reliable sources that your a man that i can trust and rely on for help in my current time of need, i would like to enquire as to whether this is a correct statement or whether it is just cazzate" Liam had said the last bit in italian as the information he had on Mr Abatangelo told him he was from Italy originally and had moved here.

Meanwhile Kate scanned the room looking for Cameras. "If it is true we will um hows that film go. ah. I'll make you an offer you cannot refuse"Kate joked referencing a line from the godfather films. Hopefully he'd see it as a joke and not take offence to the poor Italian stereotype.

@Remipa Awesome

Even with a gaunt look to his cheeks, the vampire could still curl his lip at his enemy. Through clenched teeth he nearly growled, "Deon..." Physically Mithias could do nothing, but those faded yellow eyes glared angrily as he refuted his opponent from his seat. "You are a fool, Deon. You are a fool, and you will fail. You will undo everything I have done to promote peace between us and the humans. Every reason they have ever had to live in peace with us, to trust and revere us, will be erased with the unforgettable history of another war. The tenuous hope that they have now, that I have nurtured, will be destroyed forever if you even attempt any kind of sick mass murder scheme, and this time they will not forgive us."

So it seemed Mithias fully believed in humanity's potential to wipe vampires off the face of the Earth, but was he truly a coward only motivated by fear? Maybe he was a pathetic syncophant kissing up to humanity like a slave, ignorant of the magnificent gift that had been wasted on him by his maker. Maybe he didn't know what vampires were capable of, or maybe he liked it. The thought was disgusting.

Mithias took a breath. He looked tired from that little tirade. Then he said something that was slightly unexpected. "We ARE gods, Erickson... but this is not how it should be. War and subjugation are beneath us. Gods provide protection, bring order, justice... Between us, you are the one who doesn't understand your place. Your bloodline always had a misunderstanding of power. Your arrogance and greed is an insult to our potential, and you will kill us with your shortsightedness."

To say that Mithias didn't fear for his own life at this point would have been a lie, but he also didn't believe that one of his allies wouldn't eventually come to his rescue. All he had to do was be patient and endure the hunger that gnawed at him from every cell in his body for as long as he could. Hopefully, his words would have some affect on Deon, even if the evil prick wouldn't admit it. Otherwise there was nothing Mithias could do to save his mortal friends. "You will fail, just like Magnus, and you'll never seen me on trial with the council, Erickson. If there even still is a council after what mayhem you threaten."
