Mother effer. I just erased four paragraphs worth of an entry. Pissed off doesnt begin to describe my hatred for this damned laptop!

I hate it when that happens.

Sorry if my post is rushed, I had nearly double typed and it was erased by accident. Thats the result. This is the first plot development! Second forest group, catch up!

Zapdos was being held captive by the Regime in a huge, highly complex prison at the heart of Manhattan. It was being used to help power the city, having long ago opted to use their non-pokemon resources elsewhere. The culprit was the unnamed NPC at Dr. Jethro's house. Nobody knows who he is or what side he was originally on, but whatever the case his last act of honor before death was causing the escape of Zapdos, causing a HUGE disruption in Regime plans. The entirety of their forces in the city now hunting the Zapdos, hoping to catch him. (They dont.)

This is when youll have to choose a current allegiance. This is only for now, and not permanent. My character or another is going to suggest that before we flee the city we should go to the prison to collect any info we can and permanently destroy it. Those with the Rebellion now will follow us, those not with us will be left behind. Do not be afraid if you feel your character is still on the fence, its okay to back out. This isnt a permanent decision.

Second forest group, finish your introductions using longer and more thought out posts to get yourselves to the city. If you feel you still dont fall into any of these sub plots yet, know that the city is where the action will be. Feel free to catch up on your own.

Any questions, pm me as always. After the next few scenes in the city, we will flee and the plan is that we will be the ones to set up a base of operations or secret headquarters for the Rebellion and finally form a loose leadership its been lacking.

ANY STORY IDEAS YOU HAVE PLEASE DIRECT TOWARDS ME THROUGH PM. I know for a fact some of you write better than me, have great ideas, as well as a better knowledge of pokemon. Please feel free to pm me.

Once this headquarters is established, we will have a safe place to exchange in depth entries on our pasts as characters and engage with others in dialogue. Be sure to tag people when going back and forth. Dont use one liners, make it a paragraph, and dont expect this scene for a couple days atleast. We will be going through a prison scene, escape scene, and finding a HQ scene before we can truly sit down and exchange pasts.

Oh, I like this. I like this quite a lot. Shame I wasn't fast enough to get in with any of these groups quite yet, but that's not really a problem.

What's funny is, I was going to ask you eventually if Zapdos was actually one of the legendaries in the Regime's possession, because I intended for Dr. Jenner to have written a paper about the subject. He's actually going to find this development hilarious, since the subject of that paper was essentially going to be how, even if the yield of electricity was incredible and the "plant" was relatively space-efficient, using Zapdos as a source of energy could never be as reliable as a proper power grid, nor produce as much electricity as a sufficiently large number of other, less individually dangerous electric type Pokemon (or, you know, regular turbines).

Nice tie-in with Natsu's NPC, too. I'm glad I got in on this.

Edit: If you would like my character to have knowledge of a suitable HQ with proper facilities (ie: power, water, a means of broadcasting communications with the outside world), I would be delighted to work something out with you. It would, if nothing else, be the sort of thing he would consider given that he's been planning to become a serious problem for the Regime for several months now.

Also, the description of the prison, upon arriving there, will be left to @Natsucooldude. It was his idea from weeks ago, and I feel he will do the best job at describing it. So please allow the description to take place in either his entry or mine. Thank you.

@DarthSeverus394

We're currently collabing in PMs and I should have something up tonight.

edit: Would it make sense to find a thunder stone at the power plant? Maybe they were creating them using Zapdos.

@TheUnknowable @Overlord24 My character still isn't Grimm. Also, I'd like to point out that the Regime wouldn't know about the shiny Duskull. People (in and out of the Regime), probably wouldn't know that he's secretly left the Regime either.

Sorry. I didn't catch that. I was kind of avoiding looking at your CS again because my character wouldn't know anything about the Regime. He basically sees them as a faceless enemy.

Hope you guys can handle a big post! It wouldn't have been if I had finished the first half or so before Severus dropped a perhaps-literal bomb on us, but there was a lot more catching up to do after the fact, so here it all is. Hope you enjoy it and it doesn't bore you enough to keep you from getting to the end.

As an aside, when I first started writing this, I had a vague idea that Seviper was a large snake - I mean, we can all guess that as a Pokemon, it's larger than any of its real-life counterparts, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I just kind of assumed at first that they were roughly man-sized, with bodies perhaps as wide as a person's head or slightly larger than that.

...That was before I looked it up. 8'10" - not long, but tall. Sabi's teeth are nearly the length of a person's arm. Her tail is virtually the size of someone's entire body, and frankly, I should have made a footnote in her section of the character sheet about how she was a terror to Dr. Jenner's poor, innocent furniture. In the event that I'm not the only one surprised by this number, just keep it in mind if you end up describing her in your own posts, because I'm pretty sure we could use her as a living battering ram in a pinch.

I actually had to look up Eevee before my last post to see if it could sit on my shoulder. At over 6 kilos and over a foot long, it's a bit big for that, so I had to pick it up instead.

@ganelon i'd classify seviper as 8ft 10in long. "height" in pokemon is pretty vague if you ask me. in the dex it says dunsparce are several feet tall as well, but it is depicted as always laying on it's belly not perked up like seviper. so do you think they'd make as weak a creature as dunsparce several feet thick like that? Sure a nearly 9ft long snake would be scary as hell but not as outlandish as you perceive it. I however will stick with my pokemon dex entry. 3ft 3in and 190lbs. Mika's one chunky kid, but it's all poswer. hopefully i find a pokeball fro her before she evolves or we might have a situation on our hands. A free walking 7ft 7in and 560lbs pokemon might stand out a bit. :3

I think "height" in some cases refers to length. Since in the anime They were comparable to humans in size. Or at least that's what I recall.

I just hope no one brings in a Wailord... because those are 14.5 meters long and weigh in at just shy of 400Kg...

funny you bring up wailord. at that weight and that length it's depiction of it floating the way it does in the newer games is accurate. as it's skin would be thin enough for it to float on air. one of many dex entries that make me question it's validity in the first place.

That's not a wailord my friend, you have been horribly fooled. It is in fact a Parade balloon, and your wailmer as left you awhile back.

Well, there is this:

Which is a good deal longer than 8'10" just judging from how that's only maybe two and a half heads taller than your average person. True enough that it's not as massive as the in-game size comparison, but the show struggles to keep these measurements internally consistent too. I'm not even going to touch the fact that Seviper's weight is listed as a mere 100-something pounds despite being nearly always depicted as a creature large enough that it could probably crush people under its weight alone (presuming it weren't a gigantic air balloon, anyways).

Nevertheless, the size in the above image is mostly what I imagined before looking up the question. Not as relatively small as 8'10" long nor as ridiculously huge as 8'10" tall. Sounds like there's a need for some tasteful editing here (although if I have a say in the matter, I'm going with what the image shows).

@TheUnknowable Yes you would be able to find a thunderstone there.

To All: Please be aware of the RP. Read the CS sheet and know it. If youve made a mistake with names, please edit your entry and be more careful in the future. I realize there are over ten characters so its understandable, just make it correct if you would.

Also, while I would like to remain fairly close to pokedex specifications in general, know that size varies in pokemon. (Refer to original TV series where Ash's Kingler, or Paras, I cant remember which one, is nearly half the size as Gary's. This means you have SOME freedom as far as size. Looking at you @Ganelon, your Seviper could very well be somewhat smaller than what youre thinking, not sacrificing power either. This is to be done tastefully. You may not make your Snorlax three feet tall. Be realistic, but know you can alter it to fit your situation to an extent.
