Kenneth simply stood at attention as seeker ran his debriefing. He was rather pleased at the implicit praise in the commander's words. He nodded at the commander's order to drop his conflict with the ranger, at least while on base. He nodded his head to signify the message was loud and clear to him. He had noticed the commander's earlier... resolute demeanour, and he wasn't going to go against a person with such presence.

He listened to the briefing for the next assignment. He heard mention of the settlement of underworld. He quite liked the place come to think of it. The ghouls were generally friendly as long as he kept out of trouble. He had been wondering how they were doing under the brotherhood regime. Apparantly, they were under a more subtle form of opression for now. Kenneth had read history books from before the war sometimes. Tarrifs like the ones seeker mentioned had been a good spark for revolution in past times... and it seemed that hadn't changed even nowadays.

Kenneth slightly twitched at the mention of the sewers. He had been there only a few times. Terible place really, between the mirelurks, the pools of irradiated water and the occasional pack of feral ghouls. He made a mental note to wrap all his sensitive equipment up. He had survived a charge pack surging in the water once, and he wasn't privvy to experiencing that again. The mention of the receiver dish of GNR also had his attention. In the past, he ahd listened to the station, but he had stopped on principle due to its support of the brotherhood. It would be quite a public display of resistance to knock it offline. And it would clear up the air for other stations to take over the ether. It was quite a good idea really. Now the real task would be actually getting this job done.

The commander closed the briefing, and Kenneth silently stood at salute. His head was already turning on what he would do between now and mission commencement. He needed to recalibrate the receiver of his laser rifle, and the commander had implicitly tasked him with upscaling the mutant's armor. "Well big guy, you want it to look like what grognak wore during the battle at demon hill arc or can I follow a more utilitarian design?" The mutant wasn't the only one who liked reading the old Grognak comics. After all, even a twitchy paranoiac like Kenneth had hobbies beyond mad survivalism. He left the briefing room to acquire a welder and get started on the armor. Unscrewing the cover on his rifle's circuitry as he went to get an idea of what he would need to rewire.

"with all due respect commander"
A deep, gunky and dry voice hissed from behind the group in an almost snake like coyness, a mix of passive-aggression and legit concern for his fellow trooper in this vexing and tedious task stayed in his voice all the while. His face rippled with each word and the crunching noise of dry and charred skin rubbing and flaking emitted as the ghoul spoke. His furious eyes dully staring to the man then to the troops around him, with a strange combination of curiosity and disgust.
"For these...'smooth skins' to enter the world of ghouls with me would be an unneeded risk. With the way they look and how they're dressed and how they look, picking them out of a crowd down there will be very easy"
He croaked yet again, moving slightly closer to the rest of the group, scanning each of them over and giving a toothy smile that did not show off the best wishes if looked at for too long. He continued again, his accent powerful but his words much clearer thanks to the thick gunky tone of his voice.
"I suggest this be a special job for a small insergant, myself being the only ghoul and former spy, I see it wise to elect myself for such a procedure" He spoke, pausing again to let in a desperate gasp for air, readjusting his bandaging and blinking to get what little moisture he could to his harsh eyes. The Chinese man bowed slightly before finishing his plan.
"If they can get me into 'underworld' as you call it as planned, I will fulfill the job as the rest are able to reach the next position and dispatch of the radio, it's simple, effective, and will make it less likely for their troops to concentrate on us his we are found out. If I am to fail, then this group may take my place in my own mission" He responded, hunched slightly as he looked to the others. Seeing a super mutant was a surprise to him, especially as it was not currently bashing the closest head to itself. The humans where as normal as they got, despite the one wearing a gas mask, who he though his clothing was strange, but disregarded his suspicions of anything else. Gau now awaited a response.

Elou stood up from the wall, and smiled softly at the ghoul that proposed his one man solo sneaking mission like he was some sort of bad ass or something. She shook her beautiful head softly, and spoke her own idea. In opposition to his dry gunky voice, Elou's was like soft chiming bells.
"Why don't we do both? You claim we are going to be easy to pick out of a crowd, and that if we go in everyone will have their eyes on us. So, we go in, obvious and all but waving our arms around to draw attention, and then you slip in after us. Just one more Ghoul, on top of the new 'smooth skin' group arriving, you wouldn't even rate a side-bar. Which would increase the chance of sucess considerably. And if something does happen and it goes south for you, you'll have help on hand instead of just being there alone and most probably going to get killed by buggers for buggering sake" she finished, smiling warmly, and looking like a motherly feature, if it wasn't for the monster of a gun hanging off her hip, that is.

Grognak scratched his chin for a moment at the explosive man's suggestion. He wasn't so much thinking of which one to choose but more thinking about what the word utilitarian meant. Eventually he just decided to go with what he knew "Grognak want Demon hill story armour. People need know that Grognak help." the Supernatant said somewhat awkwardly in his grammar as he began to get exited at the prospect of wearing armour like what Grognak the Barbarian had once worn. Grognak didn't actually like the Grognak comics a whole lot due to the difficulty of reading them and the sometimes crude drawings but the character of Grognak was why the super mutant sought after the comic books.

"The goal isn't to go unseen per say." Seeker begins, the map changing to that of the sewage lines running below the area. "Our contact is very peculiar, and wants absolute protection. Simply put, he won't leave without a full escort. Alternatively, this is a public showing. If just knocking the dish free was the goal we'd shoot it and have no need for any of this, there are greater things at work and it is best at your current status to follow orders. Bruce will be briefing you on the missions long term goals upon arrival."

He stepped back and relieved his baton of it's place at his hip to point to the map again. "Ghouls are smart, they now the brotherhood will never keep promises of protection or acceptance for information, underworld is as sound as it gets compared to outside help. You will enter and exit, and nobody will have known you were there if you decide to start screaming who you are- but don't." He then directed with his baton a fairly simply path through the lines. "This of course is very direct, though collapses, enemies, and other variables aren't taken into account. I suggest you study this map closely as you will likely have many detours."

"That unit has long since been dispatched. The brotherhood does not like good doers like them trying to steal the light." Seeker explains, he'd retract his baton and put it back to his side, though the projection remains for studying. "Any further questions before I exit?"

Random generation of rewards based upon mission completion, combat, and tables have been assigned as follows. Note these rewards were taken from a table I created, some have been influenced by a characters specific trait (Grognak) if you feel a reward is unbefitting, blame RNGesus.

Kenneth- (PERK) Explosives Expert: Ambush setting has calibrated your timing, making the use of explosives placement and timing more efficient.
Secondary: Modifying his rifle has increased it's power and efficiency, loss of ability to use basic cells, higher punch through (.4 T-45)

Grognak- (BOOK) Grognak and the Savage Sword of Conan: Through inspiration of the character you are, reading this has taught you new and heroic ways to use bladed weapons, some of which can be applied to your axe. Through force, will, and good placement, you can cut through some weapons to leave enemies unarmed (Or to retreat to another weapon on hand.)

Rebecca- (PERK) Good Natured: You've shown yourself as a protector of the weak, making other good people trust you easily as well as gaining bonus' on heroic tasks. However you will face penalties when attempting to do anything immoral, even if it's for the greater good.

Kurt- (PERK) Impartial Mediation: Seeking not what is good, evil, or what is in between, you gain bonuses when doing regular tasks for an operation. This perk is lost when performing an act of selflessness or pure evil (Killing for the sake of killing, or other fully immoral reasons.) Civilians will now ignore the discomfort of your gas mask unless you threaten them, and when neutral can even understand the awkward sign language.

Further rewards from the raid are being looked over and will be distributed upon returning to HQ after the next operation.

Kurt had stood perfectly motionless upon being addressed by who he still just assumed to be an officer of sorts, it was easier for him to process it that way as it was. He stood with perfect parade stance, only thing missing was an actual parade grade garment. As was usual, he simply listened with all the dogged attention that he so normally did. He wasn't fazed whatsoever by the mentioning of sewers, his previous organisation had more or less lived in a series of massive underground sewers for decades, ghouls, mutants, and any other creature be damned if they so desired.

Upon hearing that the group should study the map, Kurt marched up to the wall where the map was located and looked upon it with immense interest. He noted each winding pass and each tiny area that had the best chance of being defended if so required. His hand went to rest where his entrenching tool, he had some, ideas when it came to combat in these sewers...

"Another situation we must address, I brought a guest here today to give everyone two lessons. The first is one of history, as you may or may not know this entire country was once the United States of America. The great nuclear war is a product of another country across the sea- China. Here we have our very own Chinese spy, sent here to destroy the country and ghoulified over death."

Seeker turned around, the baton he'd been directing with making it's way back into his hand. In but a moment the pale figure of black dashed across the short space, swinging his baton upwards into the mangled flesh of the ghouls jaw, removing the fragile bone from it's place with an eerie snap and a spray of blood to the ceiling. There would be no scream as the man jammed a fist down the ghouls throat to silence it, the other arm brutally smashing bone and flesh along the spy's limbs and torso in a long flurry of rapid and brutal strikes. The exact cause of death be it the suffocation or now extremely mangled body was unknown. A gore ridden hand was wrenched free of the ghoul and seeker's cold blue eyes turned to the group again.

"Lesson two." He flicks the blood from the baton as he turns away, walking across the room and leaving what used to be a body lying in the middle of the room. [Terrifying Presence] [Bloody Mess] "Traitors will not be tolerated." He left the room, heading back to his office for what was presumably going to be cleaning up.

Kenneth had already walked out of the briefing room to acquire a welding torch somewhere... by the time he passed the room again, he could see the commander in the middle of his... disposing of a ghoul. Kenneth didn't know the context, but he didn't need one. It was safe to assume the ghoul had said something it shouldn't have. He stood there outside the room, transfixed and somewhat fascinated by the scene.

When the commander turned to him, Kenneth quickly skittered away. The man's intent and timing was quite clear. For some reason, he felt talked to, despite the fact he had done nothing to warrant such suspicions from the commander... perhaps such just spoke of the sheer presence the man's words held. He wasn't going to do anything from here on out that might compromise the organization. Right now he was just going to weld some armor together for the supermutant, recalibrate his laser rifle... and perhaps get some sleep... How long was it ago that he had naturally slept? It was hard to remember.

Grognak wasn't very surprised that the human was a fan of Grognak, after all Grognak the Barbarian was arguably the most famous Hubris Comics character, so naturally he didn' make much of a show at the explosive expert's knowledge of the hero. What Grognak was surprised by was the man's knowledge of the Demon Hill story since most copies of the story were lost to the ages and not a lot of pre-war fans cared for the story enough to talk about it. As the man left to go get supplies Grognak went and got his counterfeit Grognak comic and decided to share it with Kenneth when he got back since he was a fellow fan and might appreciate his totally legit and not at all poorly made comic.

Stark had been in one of the rooms sleeping through the entire briefing, but he had already been briefed before the team had returned. All of his gear had been propped against the wall in an organized manner in his room, including a pair of mini-nukes in the far corner. He had planned on metting the others but he had been so tired from his travels that he had fallen aslee.

This was it. The sewers; dark, dank, and dangerous. Three D's that didn't seem to go well together in the wasteland. barrels of nuclear material were scattered about still, careless as the pre-war peoples were. They'd been provided with flashlights if they didn't have one, but not the base means to attach them to weapons and it was eerily quiet until their earpieces clicked on. "This is as close as you can get on foot, it's all sewage lines from here. I hope you listened well about the map, I can't track you down there, you're on your own. The exit point is a hatch, Three-Bravo, find it and meet the contact in Underworld. He will brief you further on how this is going to work. You don't know how big this is." Then silence once more.

Ahead of them is simple, a path left, right, and center. The fastest path to anyone who studied was to go left, though there was always a chance of blockage along the way. Far down the center path [P:8+] rubble was blocking the way after all. One could assume the same anywhere and quite possibly there wasn't a way there at all.

Kenneth had his laser rifle held and ready the entire trip to the sewers. The trip here had mostly been uneventful, with the worst he had seen anywhere nearby being some fledgling radroaches skittering into their holes. THe descent into the sewers was similiarly uneventful. No ghouls, no mirelurks... not even some leftover raider tripmines.

The lack of action was putting him on edge. Every step felt like he was walking towards an ambush... The wasteland was never safe, so not encountering anything at all was a good sign all the dangerous things had ran away for something even more dangerous. In this state, he was quite reluctant to step forward at the fork in the sewers. He saw a cave-in ahead. But that was to be expected, the suggested path was left. Kenneth tried to think of alternative routes, but to his consternation, he couldn't remember all the details on the map... Maybe he should have studied it more instead of installing a keypad on his quarters... regardless, too late to go back on that now. "Alright guys, let's just follow the plan for now." He said as he rounded the corner, rifle aimed down the tunnel and ready to fire at the first sign of trouble.

Stark was at the end of the groups line, Pew-Phew ready and buzzing softly. He hadn't really had time to introduce himself to anyone just yet, but that was alright with him. He wasn't much for talking anyway. Staying crouched to both hide behind his companions and have a steady shot, he was prepared for anything to pop out. It was to quiet, to calm. But maybe the gouls had actually found a true safe haven...

One of them, Kenneth if he was right based off the description he was given, mentioned following the plan before rounding the left corner. 'well, he's right about the direction so far' stark thought to himself. He had gone over the map just before they left since he had been asleep, so most of the details he was able to remember. [int 10(?)] hopefully he could manage to find some ducktape or something to bind the flashlight to Pew-Phew for the meantime. He could do a proper install later. He checked his pipboy to see his vitals just to check them, one of the few things he found useful about the device. Other than that it really only was useful for logs, radios, Geiger counter, and keeping track of his stuff. The map module had never been istalled on it and he had never found one.

Kurt hadn't stopped fiddling with his weapon since they got anywhere near the sewers. He had been in a constant state of ensuring that his jury-rigged solution to strapping the flashlight to his weapon wasn't failing, and watching out for the many potential hostiles what would no doubt meet them within the labyrinth that was the sewers. He adjusted his gas mask slightly, but never moving it far enough from his face to show skin, or, whatever else was there.

Keeping a tactical yet fairly swift speed, Kurt followed the rest of the group with the same silence he always had about himself. He could recount details about the map with relative ease, his memory allowing as such, but some of the finer details were off or he flat couldn't remember them. He hoped that the scientist-looking man among them could remember, otherwise it was going to take a hell of a lot of trial and error, a game often played with land mines...

Grognak had not looked at the map at all. The Super Mutant had spent the entire time posing in his amazing Grognak armour and re-reading his Grognak comic. As for his flashlight he had jabbed the butt end of it on a spike on his shoulder armour piece which mostly broke it, it flickered on and off every once in a while but for the most part it wasn't going to be doing much helping for the super mutant.

While the others were trying to prepare for the inevitable danger that would likely come ahead, Grognak was already prepared for any danger as he practiced swinging his axe, David, in the air in front of him. When they came to the branching paths Grognak just followed Kenneth to left as he assumed that the impromptu blacksmith knew where he was going.

Rebecca brought up the rear of the group and made sure that nothing followed them, whether it was Feral ghoul, a radroach or a bloat fly. she followed Ken and the others down the sewer constantly checking the sights on her rifle to make sure they were zeroed into the right range.

Elou was silent during the trip down, just casually checking over her weapons and formulating plans in her head. But, when they got to the sewers, she pulled out her gun, and clutched the handle with both hands. Some guns, could be held in one hand well enough, but this monster would take your frigging arm off if you did that. The plus side was that the bullet could go through one side of a Mirklurk's shell and out the other with sublime ease.
"You know, I understand they are dirty, smelly and harbor mutanated life, but you'd think anyone with half a brain would have some guards down here in case someone decided to sneak through them, no? Kind of a tactical faux pas. If I had sewers, I'd have those things guarded to heck" she commented, relying on everyone else's flashlight to see where she was going, because she couldn't carry one herself.

The air was damp and smelled of 200 year old sewage, hopefully that's what it was anyway. Echoing along the walls was a deep clicking skittering throughout the air. [Survival Tag Identify: Mirelurk Hunter] The water ahead had a slight green glow too it, and oddly shaped rubble seemed to be lining the area in the dark. However clearly in a dirt mound up ahead there was a cluster of Mirelurk eggs in waiting. One of them was twitching and cracking around the outer brim.
