Sorry I went MIA there... work ended up being much worse last week than I thought it would be, lol and I got robbed of my Friday I was supposed to have off. Then my cousin got married yesterday... been sleeping off a hangover so don't feel too bad for me :P

Alrighty, I want to try something to keep everyone involved and inspired. :D
So I'm going to ask questions or provide prompts to make you think about your character and get into character.

I know some people don't have their finished drafts (or any draft >.> @Prints Avoid), so you may answer them now to help develop them or answer at a later point when you're more comfortable answering it.

How did your character react when the Pokestations were destroyed/disabled? When and where did they discover this news?

This doesn't apply to Ellie @Aphelion. I also don't know if this applies to @Prints Avoid. So you get your own question(s).

How would they have viewed Pokestations? Do they have them in their native region? If not, what do they have?

Forrest was in Petalburg, visiting his father-in-law's Gym with his wife and children. They only saw a great fire which rendered the Pokestation into a blackened heap of melted metal.
He didn't much care that it was destroyed since he relies on the use of berries to heal and even sustain his life and those of his Pokemon.
However, he was surprised that it was only the Pokestations themselves and nothing else. That someone, or some people, took the effort to destroy every Pokestation in Hoenn was definitely a curiosity. But it wasn't strong enough to investigate or inquire further.

Newton is almost entirely unaffected by the destruction of poke-stations, he didn't come from a family of trainers and is pretty much improvising how he handles his Pokemon. All he knows at the moment is that berries do the trick just fine - he knows there's better medicines and unique items available but would never be able to afford the real deal. Instead, he uses his expertise in manufacturing to develop his own version of whatever technology he comes across. Although his designs are often of worse quality than the originals they're usually made from parts that are fairly easy to come by and so anything that breaks Newton will find the time to fix.

His involvement with Zodiac and his fight to stop them will derive from his huge man crush on Gaillard and hasn't begun yet. He's going to basically tell him to stop wallowing in self-pity and realise that there's bigger things worth fighting for. He's going to play on Newton's love for his own Pokemon to get him to fight for other trainers who, thanks to zodiac, will have to endure seeing their Pokemon in pain. Thereby learning him the ancient and oft forgotten art of empathy.

@FernStone Your character is so cute! :D I love the Pokemon line up too, it suits her. If it wasn't sort of apparent by Ellie's reaction to younger females, she sort of associates them all with her dead sister. She'll probably want to protect Gabrielle if she ever meets her, even if Gabby is perfectly able to protect herself. XD

@Jonnyh447 Holy crap your historyyyyy, I'll have to set some time aside to read that thoroughly! I love the Muk choice. I love that Pokemon so much for some reason, and it seems like nobody ever uses it in a roleplay setting.

@Aphelion Aha thanks! :D Yeah I put a lot of thought into it :3 Gabrielle isn't actually that good at protecting herself, to be honest - her twin Adelaide (who is still being created) does most of that instead and is super protective of her. It'll certainly be interesting to see what happens when Ellie meets Gabrielle and Adelaide

I know, right?!? Wasn't even planning on doing a big history - the point is that he's just starting off on his adventure and I've gone and given him bible history.

Sometimes I'm not as good at being concise and I waffle, I try my best to keep it all relevant but would definately describe myself as an amateur writer. I know you weren't having a go - just thought I'd explain myself a little :)

With regards to the Muk pick I like to do what I describe as troll-RPing (not as bad as it sounds!) where I specifically make my character one of the weakest, more times than not with the complete intention of having them killed. As difficult and morbid as it is sometimes I believe no good story is complete without somebody biting the bullet.

I'm actually having to google some of your guy's Pokemon, I start losing track of which pokemons's which after like generation 2 :(

@FernStone I love protective brother characters <3 I can't wait to see Adelaide. :D I'm all hyped to write more in the IC, haha.

@Jonnyh447 I think that if you need to, explaining yourself in more words isn't always bad. I personally think it helps you connect more with the character you're writing - at least it helps me connect more with my characters.

Also, I completely agree with you about characters dying to make the plot better. Character death makes everything hit home and become more solid if done right. I hope your character dying is glorious, and I can't wait to see how they die (if they die). Is that a weird thing to say? Oh well. :P

I know how you feel about the newer generations as well. I had to look up a lot of info about Pokemon in general upon joining this RP. I'm what you call a "Poke-scrub", welcome to my club. :3

Gabrielle and Adelaide's native region is Hoenn so of course they have them. Neither of them have particularly strong opinions.

Gabby: She does believe that Pokestations are important, and has depended upon medicine from them for her pokemon. She tends to gravitate more towards society and it's existence and as a result has a preference for actual medicine and technology.

Adi: Adelaide views Pokestations as useful, but not necessary. She knows enough about survival, berries and the like to be able to survive without them - and for her pokemon to survive. However she thinks they make it easier so she wasn't against them existing.

@FernStone Ah sorry, I thought Adelaide was a guy (with an interesting name lol).
