The trip up to meeting point had been a quite Aria spending most of the time lost in her own thoughts. It had been only a few days since her last company had all been wiped out by an Impearl ambush. Aria replaying the mess that was called a battle several times in her head, still quite unsure how she felt about all. She knew she didn't like the Empire ... wait was the right? Aria wasn't sure, all she knew at the moment she liked killing Imperials. For now that it Aria didn't think it mattered, all that mattered to her was she was being assigned to a new regiment and company. She had no idea what squad she'd be put in, but that was a detail she was sure she'd be told shortly. For now while traveling with armor column she had assigned to a squad temporarily just in case something happened, luckily nothing had though.
Upon arriving at some coach house an unit sent ahead of the armor column had captured, Aria waited by the tank she had ridden on waiting for orders from her temporary squad commander. Who was busy working out where Aria was meant to go. Apparently her addition to his squad even if was only temporary was very last minute and he wasn't informed where he was meant to send her upon arrival to the coach house. To matters more fun no one had told her anything. It was only during a squad meeting did the commander tell her she was transfer to another squad. So far Aria had been waiting for ten minutes, contently flipping though her notepad to pass the time. The notepad partly filled with several drawings Aria had managed to find time to do during her time in the militia. Aria always feeling annoyed as she couldn't get more time to draw, given she had all but given up painting when she was drafted. Not it bothered her too much as she planned to return to her studies after the war, that was provided she made it thought in one piece.
Busy looking at a drawing of a tank parked in the middle destroyed building with the crew sat on the body eating, she didn't notice the squad commander come back.
"Private Hexner." The squad commander stated making Aria jump slightly, quickly looking at who had addressed her.
"Oh sir, sorry was just looking over some of my own handiwork." Aria stated closing the notepad. Quickly sticking it back into its pouch that was currently strapped to her waist.
"It's fine. Anyway I'm told your to go into the couch house. From there you'll be assigned to your new squad." The squad commander stated, Aria giving a quick nod. Leaving Aria by herself the squad commander left to attend to other duties, trusting Aria get to the couch house herself.
Thinking for a moment Aria tapped her pouch with her notepad into twice, wondering if she was late or early. The young woman hoping she was early, then she could take her pack off as she'd had it on for hours and was starting to feel heavier then normal.
"Might as well head over, hopefully I can take this dam pack off and have a smoke." Aria thought to herself as she looked around, spotting what she would assume was the coach house. Deciding not to waste anytime Aria made her way over to what she assumed was the couch house. As she made her way over Aria couldn't help but wonder what this building would of been like before the war. Wondering what the lives of the people that lived her would have been like.
She was about to enter the building when Aria's need for a cigarette won out. Aria reaching it into a small satchel sat was attached to her waist pulling out a small pack of cigarettes and box of matches. Lighting it up, Aria hopped she wouldn't get in trouble aware some captains where hard asses about the habit. Stashing the packs back into the satchel. Aria took a long drag of her cigarette. Heading inside the couch house, she began to wonder where exactly she needed to be.
Slowing walking further into the building, Aria didn't feel like wondering around till should found the meeting point. So figured she try a different tactic. Seeing there a few people in front of her she'd try asking one of them.
"Excuse me. Hello." she called out hoping that that someone acknowledge her.
