Honestly, I have to agree with that one. You could end up with classes with 2-3 PC.

I don't think putting all the characters in the same class is for the best, actually. This is a pretty big game and having everyone together means waiting on everyone for every class scene. Segmenting it leads to easier to follow and write scenes between smaller amounts of characters, while also leaving room in the class in the event someone joins later.

Plus not having multiple classes kind of defeats the point of having ages range more than a year in the first place. As long as we know who is in what class (maybe a list edited into the first post) then we should be fine.

I get that but the numbers are already really skewed. So maybe there's a third solution? Just evening it out somehow?

So far we have:

14: 2
15: 2
16: 5
17: 3

So maybe a different statistic to separate classes by? Perhaps a Qurik-based one or some other metric? Because if we leave it by age most people have one or two people to wait on and one group will have four +

I kinda agree, but with only about 2-3 in most of the classes, the interactions would fall a bit flat I think.

I'd be fine if it was like 2 classes at most, but four would just make the RP a bit confusing since people in four different classes would interact with each other.

For example, lets say everyone was in class, four different classes. They interact and now the rp is weirdly messy since interactions are happening in four different areas.

@Write Hmm, I was going to reference a previous game I was in that kept a good balance between three classrooms and had semi-frequent interactions between multiple classes (through Gym class, for instance, which had all classes together) but that was a design decision from the beginning, so if there were too many in one class the GM could simply request there be more first years. That's not impossible at this point since there's still some members who haven't finished their sheets.

Quirk based classes is an idea, but if, say, someone joins as an animal form character like Tsuya/Frappy in the series then they'd probably be alone, since I don't think any of the currently accept members have a power like that. That would also deincentivize anyone thinking about a Quirk outside any of the current classes.

@Inertia Provided @Mentions are used well and everyone's aware of what class they're in I don't see it as I problem. If something big happens in one class (say, someone's Quirk firing off), then in one big class EVERYONE has to react to it, and if someone misses that one post then the scene gets weird, and asking everyone to read every post in this RP, which is looking to be huge both player and post wise (none of the posts so far are less than two good sized paragraphs long) is a bit demanding. I'd rather only need to focus on a few other players at a time, personally.

I can respect that, however I think the reverse though, I personally like reading everyone's stuff man, pretty good past time cause I like to think that people put alot of effort into their own posts :).

Eitherway works fine for me though, i'd just prefer the former as building some forms of relationship whilst in different classes would be a tad difficult but yeah I see your point.

Everybody makes good points, but Pacifista pretty much said what I was going to. What we could do, maybe, is compromise based on the numbers--like Write posted, there are 2 14s, 2 15s, 5 16s, and 3 17s. Like I said earlier, there can be a year margin, so what if we reduced the number of classes by dividing it like this:

Freshmen: The 2 14s and 15s, making 4 students total.
Sophomores: 4 of the 5 16s.
Juniors: 1 of the 16s and the 3 17s, again making 4 total.

That way there's 3 groups of 4, which I think is a good number that's small enough to be manageable, but large enough to have some worthwhile interaction between each party of characters. It's closer to what Inertia suggested, having a smaller number of classes. When the next batch of profiles come in the numbers might change, but we can divide people as necessary I think without too much of a problem. What does everyone think of that?

I had imagined Yasu would be a Junior, but that shouldn't be too big a deal. Perhaps we should figure out what ages the incomplete characters'll be before finalizing class distribution?

I just realized my character is the only one that hasn't been talked to yet...

I swear this happens in all/most of the RPs I participate in... and I hate asking for people to come talk to my characters since it makes me sound so selfish or something.

Oh well... I guess I should ask then: Who happens to be available?

Well...Mine hasn't had anyone talk to her.

Not that most probably would, but he could probably say something to her. Try getting that seat she's using as a foot rest xP

Actually thats true... I think I was confusing with your post regarding the main GM character, though it seems he didn't respond to yours yet. Let me see what I can do for him when it comes to talking to spoiled brats XD (jk jk)

I assumed it was left vague--it just says she knocked down a "younger student,"--in case anyone else wanted to respond, so I was going to wait and see if anyone else took the bait. I can have Tatsumi respond if he was supposed to be her specific target.
