I am unsure if we looted anything from the kobolds, at least worthy of note, but beyond that I am mostly having Brannor follow Trear.

Yah, no real notable loot on these guys. Several daggers, but their handles are too small to be effective on our heroes, as well as the slings of theirs being kobold sized.

The fourth day is gone soon and we know what that means. I'll be advancing the story today once I've handled the in person game I've got scheduled.

Please excuse the short entry from me, I have been describing too many scenes today and must have gotten lazy. I should not let it happen, but things are as they are.

EDIT: Lazy is not the word I was looking for. Exhausted describes what I felt like so much better. Well, English is only my second language.

A question, @Hekazu, while it isn't truly said anywhere in this edition, how are you handling variant fighting styles? By this I mean aspects such as half-swording, pommel strikes, and cross-guard blows? Just a curiosity given several off us are bearing weapons that can perform these tasks. I have been thinking of this for a time, mostly as to what rule set it falls under.

Reduced damage dice? Direct comparison and down in damage? As an example, a half-swording great sword dealing only a d6 and its modifier, but as piercing?

I was thinking of some cinematic European type martial arts to perform with my weapon in particular.

@The Harbinger of Ferocity I have not yet had an example case from anywhere, so it is currently difficult for me to give a concrete answer. We can try different approaches in this game and see what works and what does not. We can start with the damage dice of the weapon lowered to 2d4 on such out of the ordinary maneuvres for starters, if it is okay with you. Pommel strikes might be better off as 1d6 though. As I said, we'll have to see.

I figured such things could be incorporated in our various combat maneuvers. A pommel strike totally sounds like something you'd do to knock down an opponent. Half-Swording? Allows you to grapple while wielding your great-sword. Etc and so forth.

Working on a post nao.

That seems respectable if you just want to decrease the dice size themselves or use a comparison weapon such as a shortsword or a mace for subtypes. All the same, do let me know! I intend to use them.

I will post this coming noon.

It's been a quiet few days for me, been slowly writing up a D&D conversion into the SI system. Need it for another homebrew project of mine and even if that never really gets attention I'll find some use for the conversion as someone from outside the United States.

Anyways, we are just waiting for @VKAllen.

As unfortunate as it is to the pace of the game, I will be having to postpone my post to Sunday at earliest. I'm attending a convention for the weekend and did not bring my books with me due to space constraints.

@VKAllen

If you hit a nat 20, doesn't that mean you need to roll to confirm (Pretty sure that's still a thing) and then double your damage?

@Lucius Cypher, in Fifth Edition you automatically confirm a critical hit without a confirmation roll. Associated damage dice are rolled twice, to include Sneak Attack and the like, and then the modifiers are added.

Double your damage die, then add modifiers. And yes it hits regardless.
