@Prince of Seraphs Agreed with the bullet arts, and I also agree with toning down the super strength. Will have it just to be able to stop/lift a car.

I can live with that. Make the appropriate changes and you can add her to your post in the Character Tab.

Everyone

As soon as I'm done sorting out the currently pending CSes I will start the IC. Anyone who offers a CS after that can join at whatever point is convenient in the story.

@Prince of Seraphs Birdie wouldn't be a real villain character, I don't think. If there's a separation, he might be on the villains' side, but not fit in very well due to his nature, just as Henry would be on the heroes' side but not really fit in given his own nature. He doesn't have anything but a distant animosity for Ryu.

@Prince of Seraphs I'm not super hot with setting DT aside for now, but I'll go ahead and do it. I mean, he's pretty integral to her character. It's like making Mario start without his hat. :( Aw, I just made myself cry a little.

Y'know, I've been wondering...

Why do we need to give logical scientific explanations for what certain items and magics can do? We ARE in a virtual reality world, after all. It's not REAL reality.

Think I'm gonna have to drop out. EYE is so toad lickingly red-bull drinkingly ridiculous and harbors such an "Everything is bigger" personality that even at 1/20th of the average player's power (I completely left out every cybernetic power and didn't go with any of the endgame guns like the hunting machine), it's still unacceptably overpowered.

Because if it doesn't follow some form of logical train of operation that could be considered common place then it would only function in the game world it comes from.

You could always try picking a different character.

Name: Tiny of Condor, the Ashen Born, the Lord Slayer, the Insane.
Gender: Male.
Age: 20
Game: Dark Souls 3
Appearance:

Equipment:
Armor:

Wolnir's holy sword:

Abilities:
Ashen Born: As an ashen born, a variant of an undead creature, Tiny has the ability to use the souls of other beings in order to make himself stronger. This is how he levels up in game, and as such, will be how he grows stronger over the course of the story, and he can use souls as a currency, meaning if there is a demon about making deals for souls, he'd be a prime customer. He is stronger than your average human by a large margin, and regains stamina far more quickly, taking only minutes to rest up, where a normal man would take a night's rest. He can survive normally fatal wounds, but "dies" when his body is broken to a point of not being able to move, such as being destroyed by a long fall, or being crushed/hacked apart. This also allows him to avoid death, normally, but at a cost. Each death drives him further down into madness, and causes his body to rot. After to many deaths, he will be reduced to a hollow, which is a mindless beast craving souls. This is a fate worse than death....but, weapons made to keep immortals dead will stop this cycle. He can repair this insanity with powerful souls, and one of three special items found thoughout the games.

Humanity: Dark Souls 1
Human effigies: Dark souls 2
Embers: Dark Souls 3.

I will leave it up to the Gm to decide how badly he gets with how many deaths. He had died many times, but has used many embers to keep his mind in tact, for the most part.

Holy Word: Tiny is able to call upon holy magics, powered by his faith, not in the gods, but in himself. This power is normally seen as dark, and evil, but in a world where the gods have fallen, and now he seeks to save it all from devastation, this faith is the light that leads him. He is able to cast healing spells in a circle around him, throw bolts of lighting, and even silence his foes, preventing magic from being cast in an area around him. (This includes his down spells.) This power draws from his stamina, meaning that he must wait a bit after exhausting himself. Almost anyone can use this magic, if their faith in either the divines, or their own self, is high enough.

Wolnir's holy sword's secret power: The sword in the picture shown, Wolnir's Holy Sword, has a hidden power. With it, Tiny can create a huge blast around him, ignoring his allies, and sending his enemies flying while harming them due to the sheer force of the impact. This draws from his stamina as well, and is noted for being able to stop corpses from being resurrected by a necromancer.

Soul Smith: Tiny knows the arts of Soul Smithing, gathering the true power of twisted souls, seeped in strength. using a special kiln, he can transform the souls of his more powerful foes into weapons, rings, shields, all depending on what the soul had belonged to. For example, a powerful necromancer may create a staff that boosts necromatic powers, while a great warrior may create a powerful sword, or maybe a ring that increases's ones ability to use bladed weapons. This is up to the GM to say what he can make with powerful souls (Think bosses, or powerful enough pcs.)

Weaknesses and Limitations:
Foolish and Trusting: Tiny thinks everyone has good in them, even the lords he seeks to end. As such, any one asking for mercy will receive it. This has lead to evil spirits killing him, as he turned his back. One notable example of this is with a man named Patches. Tiny had ignored his previous attacks on him when the man asked for mercy, and as such, Patches killed him indirectly several times, each time being forgiven by the madman.
Martyr complex: Tiny will, and has, ran into an incoming attack, a arrow in flight, or even moved to push his friends out of the way of a rolling boulder. This has again lead to him dying many times. His enemies may utilize this to lead him to his doom repeatedly.

Undead: Any magic or spell made to damage and destroy undead will effect Tiny easily. He has little to not defense against this, save for dominating spells, which his will power may win out against.

Personality: He is a caring individual, and tries to be as kind as possible, in a world gone mad. He will do whatever he can to help those in need, and isn't afraid to speak his mind..but he is sometimes..to caring, and trusting. He dislikes killing others, but will do so when he feels there is no other choice.

Backstory: Before the VR Event, Tiny was a young man with not much going on in his life. Reeling from a breakup, and seeing this VR as a chance to escape his life, he wrote a narrative for his character. One where he had died in reality, and had been revived in dark souls 3 as one of the undead, so he could be a hero. As such, he is one of the few people in the VR event that still has a grip on his actual life still. He believes that by beating the game, he will be free to go back to his girlfriend. A poor delusion now made his reality. As now, he seeks out powerful souls so he may save the world of DS3, which will kill him. However, he believes this is what must be done to escape...

Entry Point: After defeating High Lord Wolnir, a generally laterish game boss, he was dragged into the abyss, a plain of corrupting darkness, in order to save a friend who had chosen to help him defeat the undead king. As such.

And I'm back. I may or may not write up another Character, after I see who we already have. @Prince of Seraphs Would Kaiser Oblivion from Bravely Second work? He's not a player character, so Asterisk switching wouldn't be an issue.

Everyone

We will be beginning either tonight or some time tomorrow depending on how much free time I have at my grandmother's house. Anyone who has a CS still being evaluated with the exception of the newest one I believe I have given some comments, if you would kindly respond to them I would appreciate it. As for the newest member coming from I believe one of the Dark Souls games I will get to your CS in due course.

Before we begin though does anyone have a preference on how we begin. I was thinking that we would start in two groups. Initially it was going to be a separation between the hero and villain characters but since we have a largely disproportionate number of hero to villain characters I think distributing characters randomly would be the best solution. Thoughts, suggestions, queries?

I looked him up, he seems rather powerful but I would be willing to look through a CS and work something out with you.

@Prince of Seraphs If anything, they should lad in random areas yeah, but some to be closer then others. Say Doomguy lands in one location, but also say Bayonetta has landed say... 30 - 40 meters away? That way they'll be alone, but also unaware on how close to someone they really are...

That's my suggestion of course.

That's sort of what I was thinking. Each group would be in the same general area. For instance one of the areas I planned to use was Hyrule Field (probably the one from Ocarina of Time but I'm considering Twilight Princess). Each character in that group would be scattered throughout the field but all are in the same area enough that they could converge into a single group in the right circumstances.

Haven't decided on the second location yet.

Sounds good. I'm down for that.

As for the second location, can't say that I know a good place for one...

You're right. May be a bit OP in single combat. I'd be willing to make some alterations at your behest, including the removal of Anne. I just like their dynamic a lot. As for my opinion on where to start, I believe pure randomness is a good idea, yeah.

EDIT: I've removed Anne myself. Though I do like their interactions, i already have a duo character. Denys will be able to hold his own without his secretary.
