yet.Personal Style: Emily here is a fashionista, but doesn't like any of that frilly or flashy stuff. If one were to describe her style, it'd be borderline hipster. It's not totally hipster considering a lot of the places she shops at are very popular, and buys a lot of popular brands.

Personality: Emily is the person someone would see kicking back in her chair, feet up on the table whenever they'd walk in her cubicle. There's very few things she invests all of her efforts into, considering most of her job is doing stuff that takes the technologically literate very little effort to accomplish. However, due to the people around there are often stints where she is rotating around the office helping multiple people in a given amount of time. She doesn't mind helping people, taking pleasure whenever she solves an issue for or with them. Other than that, she likes to spend her downtime cooped up in her little cubicle in the corner of the building. She welcomes visitors into her cubicle, as she is pretty sure that most in the office don't even know that she actually has her own cubicle.
Despite her enthusiasm for interaction, she much prefers being in solitude inside her cubicle since it is the only space she has to herself from 9 AM to 5 PM. Once every blue moon, however, she does stay in the main office for an amount of time because her cubicle gets too lonely. To the coworkers she interacts with, she's much more of a listener than a ranter. She can sometimes be found in the break room, idly stirring a cup of coffee while someone talks about what's bothering them, but she never ventilates to coworkers, or even talks much about her personal life. Whenever she does talk, she either says some sarcastic remark, or a very condensed version of some advice. As a result, people in the office don't really know much about her save for the fact that she's the go-to girl for every single technical issue people have, from phones to computers to printers.
Habits: Remembers things she shouldn't remember, considers meetings in the conference room an opportunity to check out mentally, also doesn't know how to wake up by herself in the morning without dozens of alarms.
Hobbies: Watching sports, tinkering with her car, shopping.

What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin: Like every college graduate, Emily was simply looking for a job. As soon as she received her diploma it was to the websites to look for a job within the San Francisco Bay Area. At first she found a job in a local tech start-up as an IT specialist, but as it was a tech start-up in the Bay Area, it failed quickly and Emily was promptly out of a job. Because of that experience with start-ups, Emily had now wanted to avoid them in fear of her job security. She wasn't looking to make cash quick, she wanted a job that could support her for a long time coming. Then came Dunder Mifflin, who were looking for a dedicated IT specialist. A big company wanting someone like her was perfect, but the only problem was the location. It wasn't that big of a problem considering how quickly Emily took it and hauled ass to Pennsylvania.
Life Up To This Point: Emily was born into a seemingly fine family, with one kid sister, Marie, who is currently 25 years old. Everything was all fine and dandy until Emily was six years old. Her parents had told her that they were divorcing and at that point Emily's world was turned upside down. There was a constant battle of custody, being shuffled back and forth from her father's and her mother's. Finally, as Emily grew older and the need for a stable home was needed, Emily and Marie were ultimately sent to live with her mother, with the occasional visit to her father.
As a result, Emily had formed a very strong bond with her mother and had stayed by her side until the age of 16, where Emily's mother had to be pulled away to Europe for a job. Because Emily had too many connections in her hometown to uproot, Emily was sent to her father's house to live until she graduated high school. Which unfortunately meant that she had to meet the woman that her dad had decided to marry. As soon as they met, Emily both feared and hated her, and as a result avoided her as much as possible. By the time Emily was off to the University of San Francisco, she opted to live on campus instead of back at her father's.
She spent all the years it took to get her Master's living either on campus or near campus, which was quite a feat considering the rising prices of housing in San Francisco. And soon enough, she had her Master's, but no job she could get with it just yet. With the search for a job, and the fact that she didn't want to be anywhere near her stepmother - it had landed her in Pennsylvania and ever since then she hadn't really looked back. Any place without that wretched woman was better than anywhere else in the world.
