Bio:
Some people's childhood are full of beautiful memories. Theodore's childhood was everything but that. Born in the slums of new York Theodore doesn't know his mother or his father as he was dropped of at an orphanage. This orphanage was understaffed and those who worked there were horribly underpaid. To make matters worse he was bullied constantly by almost all the other children. At one point it got so horribly bad that he contemplated suicide. Then at the age of ten. Something happened that would change his life forever. It was a cold winter morning and Theodore was called from his room. Apparently someone had come for him which didn't make any sense since he had no family. However as he walked down the stairs he saw an middle aged man in military uniform. This man named James Anderson was apparently his uncle and had decided to take him in.
This would be a new start for Theodore as James would take care of him as his own son. He took him to his home in Texas where he was given proper schooling, clothes and all the other thing Theodore could have dreamed of when he still lived in the Orphanage. But best of all was that he finally had a family he loved. James and Theodore quickly gained a strong bond that only a father and son could have. They would always go camping every month. Where James learned him how to fish. Then at the age of 18 Theodore would walk the same path like his uncle when he decided to join the navy of the Roslin Federation. In the two years he worked there before the three day war. He specialized himself in the flying of large class ships. In which he quickly prove his skill becoming the top of his class. And was to be assigned to the battleship The RLF Invincible. Which his uncle commanded. Then the Three day war happened. The first two days of the war where just a goddamn blur. But The battle against the Devastators above the planet of Mars still burns into his mind like a passion. A nightmare he cannot escape, and dreams every night.
As they arrived inside Mars's orbit a flurry of SOS signals filled the com's and it soon made sense as they saw the slaughter before them. Most of the stations orbiting Mars were destroyed and where crashing on the planet's surface. For a moment the entire bridge was silent the only sound where the cries of those dying on the comms. The martian fleet was doing it's best to defend the planet but it was slowly getting pounded to mush. The main line had already been crushed and the Devastators seemed to be doing a clean up duty. Then the order was given and the fleet opened fire. The cannons roared as hot molten slag fired. The ship was shaken to its very core. And yet the ship remained eerily silent. There was a mix of anger and sadness so strong no words could be uttered expect the harsh commands of James. Then the missiles left there bay's bringing their deadly payload towards The enemy. But none ever hit home as the enemy ships fired their lasers. The slag had hit home pounding on the enemy hull with barely any effect. Then a command was given from the admiral." All ships follow my lead, Show no mercy." There wasn't a single emotion in those words the rage deeply buried within him. And yet they all felt it.
The devastators finally drew their attention on them and opened fire. There lasers burning right through the hulls of the ships they hit, Like it was wet paper. Theodore could see the Ship beside them exploding not even one escape pod launched killing the entire crew. The closer they moved towards the devastators the more they lost. Ship after ship burned away its crew dying in anguish. This wasn't a battle but a never ending slaughter. By the time The enemy fleet had entered close range weapon fire the fleet had left a trail of destruction behind itself. Close range lasers began to fire doing some damage to the hull of the enemy vessels. Fighter craft launched into the void unleashing every projectile they had on the enemy. Slowly but certain The enemy started to loose ship after ship exploding under the never ending hail of fire. But that hail became smaller and smaller as they lost ship after ship a lot faster than the enemy.
Then one of the Devastators fired at the Invincible sending a laser straight through her nearly hitting the bridge and sending Theodore into unconsciousness. When he awoke he heard nothing as an eerily silence had fallen over the bridge. But as he turned around he quickly realized why. The ceiling had collapsed crushing everyone except him. He then realized he didn't see his uncle and frantically started pulling away part of the collapsed Ceiling. He then found his Uncle. His Torso was utterly crushed with some of the ribs sticking out. And a single metal pipe ran through his neck. But his eyes still had some life left in them and they moved to look into those of Theodore. And with one single sigh of relive the eyes went lifeless and James died. Theodore stood still. Not being able to move. Tears rolled over his face but he did not cry. They had killed the one man in this world that had cared for him. A man that had raised him. But now they would feel his pain. Now they would cower before his rage! He turned around walked towards his controls and looked at the ship’s mainframe. The main reactor was about to overload and is he was fast enough he could crash the ship into the enemy before it exploded. So he throttled the engines at maximum speed and steered it towards the enemy ship Quickly giving Theodore quickly gave command to abandon ship as the ship’s reactor would soon overload. The ship screamed under the pressure, Almost tearing itself apart And yet it held firm even when it got hit again she held together to fulfill her act of vengeance. As they neared the ship which had killed his father Theodore left the bridge running towards one of the escape pods. He launched seeing the ship he had flown with for months bury itself into the Devastator tearing open it hull and destroying it. The explosion that followed knocked him unconscious. the last thing he saw was Mars burning under alien fire.
After this Theodore would be rescued by a destroyer and be transported towards earth where his wounds would be healed. After enough healing he was given the medal of honor. But this didn't really matter to Theodore considering it would not give him his uncle left. For six long years he would command a reaper Cruiser class fighting his alcohol problems in the progress. never really getting over the death of his uncle. However when he returned from a patrol he received a message from high command. Telling him that he was needed at command immediately. When he arrived he was briefed about project Genesis and that he was ordered to become one of the pilots of the arks. He learned the ins and outs of her controls. Studied her frame and how much punishment she could take. And he also learned how to fly the other ships that would join the ark in case the need arises. Now it's time to leave Sol behind, and to save humanity for extinction.

Player Name: Xandrya
Character Name: Melanie Larson
Character Age: 33
Character Gender: Female
Appearance:
Image link: style-inspired.com/blog/wp-content/upl..
Profession: Therapist
Nationality: Roslin Federation
Strengths:
Humanist and social justice advocate
Multilingual - Speaks four different languages with perfect fluency
Hand-to-hand combat knowledge
Weaknesses:
Manipulative, to an extent
A bit of a narcissist
Experiences vivid nightmares and very rarely, hallucinations
Personal Effects: A suitcase with her clothes, some fashion magazines, a picture of her parents, and some audio player with an array of story recordings and music.
Bio: Melanie was born and raised in one of the northern territories of the Roslin Federation. Her backyard slightly resembled a desolate tundra, and she spent most of her free time exploring the vast landscape or tucked away in her room practicing various languages. Her father, Raphael, met her mother when he was on medical leave recovering from his wounds he acquired in one of his missions. From that moment on, the couple was basically inseparable.
As Melanie grew older, she decided she had had enough of the loner lifestyle. She applied to a number of universities--all of them located in warmer climate--in order to get into one of the social sciences programs offered by the school. Up until that point, her interaction with people had been minimal, so she decided that the best way to learn about others was to get inside their head and learn how they function.
She was away at school again at the beginning of her third year when the unspeakable happened. Her family, more specifically her parents, had been targeted by a few members of a rival force from Raphael's past. The news reached Melanie very quickly, her temporary mental breakdown concerning a few of her professors who proceeded to alert the head of the program at the university. Melanie took a semester break from school, concerning herself with tracking down the murderous faction and strengthening herself both physically and mentally. The search wasn't easy, not with the chaos going on around the world, but she eventually managed to track down one of the members responsible for the hideous act and tortured him for days until his body ceased to function. The man never gave her any names, and oddly enough, she admired his perseverance. Feeling like her "side mission" had made progress, Melanie returned to her studies where she eventually received her PhD with high honors.
After some time away, Melanie returned to her alma mater where she kept busy with some work regarding Project Genesis, although the true nature of her work was never revealed to her or her team as it was masked as a different project in order to maintain total confidentiality. Melanie, along with her team of three other members, was tasked with researching the best therapeutic approaches to combating the effects of long space travel and how to best overcome various other negative effects. When the big announcement finally went public, well after they had made progress with their work, Melanie was offered a spot in one of the arks for her contribution and dedication to the research project. Melanie accepted the offer without giving it a second thought, and she couldn't wait for this new chapter in her life.

Player Name: RedLeather
Character Name: Erik Karlson
Character Age: 54
Character Gender: Male
Appearance: imgur.com/gallery/qZWwm (yes, i'm aware its the Danish Prime Minister, and sorry, Imgur changed their link setup)
Profession: Linguist (Slavic, Germanic, and Xenobiotic languages)
Nationality: European Confederacy
Strengths:
Language Fluency: Speaks 6 languages fluently, and 3 more with some errors (Scandinavian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, German, English, Polish. 3 iffy ones: Bulgarian, Greek, Finnish)
Hardened: His presence on Earth as an international translator during localized wars and the Three Day war has worn him down hard. He rarely spooks, is difficult to intimidate, and little phases or frustrates him.
People-Friendly: Good with communicating to other people, especially at public speaking and getting his own point across.
Weaknesses:
Defensive: Erik is not comfortable sharing much about himself with others, and will often simply abandon a conversation he doesn't like.
Aging:Despite the progress of society and anti-aging technology, Erik is still nearing his time as an older man. He isn't as nimble or as strong as he used to be, though he still capable of many generally average feats of strength.
Arrogant: Contrary to his outward facade, Erik feels himself smarter than most people on Earth and in the system. Of course, being on the Vitae means that everyone else is just as smart as he is now.
Language Shifting: Erik often forgets what language he is using, and will speak in one that the person he is speaking to does not understand.
Personal Effects: Several sets of clothes, several dictionaries in foreign languages, and a dirty piece of cloth that he holds onto constantly. He felt bringing more than was necessary would simply be a waste of space.
Bio:
Growing up in one of the happiest and wealthiest reaming parts of the European Confederacy, Erik led a charmed childhood, living in a nuclear-survival city buried underneath central Denmark, Erik led what was essentially a pre-war normal life, hidden from the scourges of the nuclear pavement above. The lack of sunlight was occasionally depressing, but he got by alright.
Erik went for higher education at the University of St. Johns in old Canada, one of the most renowned schools in the region. His parents gave him funds to reach the surface and the coast, where he then volunteered on a shoddy fishing boat that was heading for cleaner waters. The University accepted him on the cheap due to both his startling intelligence, and the fact that he was European. He originally studied Slavic languages, but upon realizing that he had a certain knack for learning them, took up a double major in Germanic languages as well. He studied for seven years before graduating with a PHD in both fields. He performed some freelance translator and interpreter work across central and eastern Europe, until the government suddenly called him up.
Brought in just prior to the attacks on Citadel, he was tasked with trying to decipher the unintelligible communications from the approaching fleet. Though Erik achieved no actual breakthroughs, he felt he was incredibly close to understanding some part of the language, but the attacks forced him to stop. Erik attempted to continue his work from the safety of Earth, but the war was over before it had begun.
Frustrated, he left and tried to decipher what leftover recordings of the communications were had, but made little headway. Eventually, the UEC recruited him to help them transmit their recruitment messages to citizens they needed onboard one of the Arks in Eastern and Central Europe. He worked with them until now, at which point he himself is being taken aboard the Vitae in hopes that he will be able to help them understand any foreign aliens they might come across.

Character Age: 34
Character Gender: Female
Nationality: Roslin Federation
Appearance: A plain Caucasian woman a slightly round face and straight, light-brown hair barely past her shoulders. Karen prefers to leave it out, but frequently uses a ponytail while working. She's no model, but is of a reasonably healthy weight and holds good posture without fail.
Profession: Biologist; Her primary job aboard the Vitae is the general maintenance, management, and observation of the Eden terrarium. However, the primary reason she was chosen is for her experience in Xenobiology, hence she is familiar with, and has access too, research facilities.
Strengths:
Strong working understanding of biology as well as past experience with research on alien life (see bio).
Excellent manager and general coordinator of small task forces.
Good at viewing phenomena from unusual angles and considering unusual proposed solutions/hypotheses.
Weaknesses:
Highly receptive to suggestion and persuasion. (Easily influenced/manipulated.)
Poor instructor. She struggles to keep in mind what requisite knowledge is required for her explanations.
Hates missed opportunities. In particular, she loathes to leave behind a specimen that may never be found again, such as an alien species.
Personal Effects:
Her Doctorates in XenoBiology (a field thrown together after the Three Day's War; most students dropped out)
A stuffed turtle from her childhood
A photo of her parents.
Small bookshelf with all published works on Xenobiology (including a couple written by herself). (Bookshelf is not full, particularly since some works are classified.)
A shelf with a dozen complex board games, plus a small poker set and chess set, neatly arranged and categorized.
Trinkets. A slightly unreasonable number of tiny statues, tokens, and curios.
Half a dozen pieces of simple, durable jewelry, made only of metal (no plastic or gems).
Bio:
Karen's mother was a low-ranking officer in the Roslin Federation's military, and her father an engineer with them. As such, she grew up with fairly strict discipline, but encouragement to always find out "why" and "how". Her mother died in duty when she was 14 in the Three Day War. Karen took this pretty hard, floundering emotionally and academically. She ultimately found her footing when she began to obsess over the Devastators. She kept up with all the research that was allowed to reach the public. Taking a military scholarship at 18, she went to college with the full intent to get a degree in Xenobiology and work out exactly what makes the alien monstrosities tick.
In college, Karen did well academically, but floundered socially. It wasn't until she was entering her third year that board games helped alleviate the obsession that was slowly eating her alive. With a small collection of friends to interact with, she grew less intense and more friendly. Her academics, ironically, rose slightly, due to her stress levels returning to normal. By the time she graduated, Karen was a clear choice to continue as a post-grad in Xenobiology.
During grad school, Karen, as a student with a military scholarship, was allowed to/had to take an internship doing research on the chunks of Devastator hulls left after the war. By this time (2205), almost all concrete discoveries had been made, and most work was in the hypothetical and extrapolation. While slogging through her coursework, Karen worked hard with her internship, despite most of her assignments being to dig through existing records to fact check and bring in information wanted by true researchers. However, this allowed her to see and hear information significantly above normal clearance. Early in her second year, Karen ventured to make a suggestion during a meeting, a plausible explanation on how sufficient energy couple be gathered in deep space to run a biological ship. Some of the researchers were already reaching similar conclusions themselves, but were pleasantly surprised that she was able to see that far into the situation. Thereafter, Karen was a slightly more active participant, as some researchers liked to think of her as some sort of pupil of theirs.
Straight out of grad school, Karen landed a job working with them. In particular, she was a personal assistant to one of the higher ups, and generally functioned as an encyclopedia (due to lugging around what nearly was an encyclopedia) and occasionally filled in for her superior at small meetings. Before long, she was attending in her own right, and by 2210 she was an authority on the matter, though not so much as to be a public figure.
In 2214, Karen was quietly invited to work on one of the Arks, being there to work with any and all alien life encountered. Though she felt pained that the earth would be abandoned, she recognized that her expertise was practically needed and basic instinct required her to choose survival. Besides, she owed it to her mother to make sure that her sacrifice was not in vain. While her research slowed, Karen had a simple job during the Ark's construction: planning and managing Eden, a near perfect terrarium. It was to essentially become her downtime project, and a chance to observe evolution on a tiny scale. When asked by friends why she'd disappear for days at a time, she'd jokingly say she got caught up doing "fevered gardening". The one person she brought into stasis was her father.

Profession: Investigator
Nationality: Rosin Federation
Strengths:
Master of the Trade: Years and years of big cases, big busts and respect from his team have resulted in Javier being one of the best for whatever file lands on his desk. His knowledge and his street skills are unmatched by anyone
Dead-eye: Weather it be assault rifle or pistol, Javier know’s his way around any gun.
Incorruptible: There have been many times where he could of looked the other way, or done something to help another person out. But time after time he’s developed a sense of identity and moral ground. Both, which he stands to this day.
Hardworking: Long hours at the office, reading case files and looking over evidence don’t faze Javier and he merely thinks it apart of the job.
Weaknesses:
Irregular Sleeping Patterns: The job has taken a toll on Javier. Some days he only sleeps a maximum of 3 hours before wandering the ships hub, other days he’s in bed for 10 hours at a time.
Trust Issues: Javier keeps a close knit group of friends. Others or outsiders he calls them he often distances himself away from them, or keeps his relationship purely work and/or limited to pure small talk.

Bio:
Javier began life in the Rosin Federation to a simple family of 4. He had a sister who was roughly 5 years older than him, a father who worked with the local PD and a stay at home mother. They lived mainly intercity in a above average apartment with a few luxuries, like internet, TV and other things that some intercity people wouldn’t have.
Roughly by the age of 17, Javier discovered he wanted to follow his father's footsteps and enroll into the PD, but not as a officer and as a detective. So with the help of his father and family support, he enrolled in his local PD and graduated at the age of 19.
His early days in the PD were uneventful. Mostly working on things like car thefts, spaceship cargo missing to at most the sexual assault case. However, his first major involvement on a case was with Detective Jim Green, a mentor to this day on a murder which was linked to one of the car thefts Javier was working on. The case one could say was the one that began the career of Javier’s as a professional detective.
However a few years after his rise in the ranks of professional detective, Javier had one of the toughest cases he’d probably say he worked on: The apparent Homicide of his Father. You see his father still worked in the ranks and was a supervisor for a patrol unit for one of the Rosin Federation’s largest cities. However for 2-3 days he didn’t report in, the district branch requested an inquiry and his body was found hanged from a factory sign a day after. Despite internal pleas and requests and frankly even a psychiatric evaluation Javier was the one who would be taking the reins of the case, mainly due to the fact that he verbally threatened to quit and join the Nagasaki Cologermete’s PD if not given the case.
The case itself at first seemed like a simple drug robber shoots cop case, or at least how it was angled to be. But as time went on this case had a few hallmarks of a gruesome serial killer by the name of “Cop X”. Cop X was the nickname given to the serial killer due to the fact his methods often involved using cop gear and cop insignia. After the first one or two murders the name was given. This had come as a surprise since the last recorded or suspected murder by Cop X was 3 years ago. With the link established all that remained was finding who Cop X was. Over the course of an year, roughly twenty links were established. Some of them went off the radar, already dead due to the other causes or no actual evidence could be linked to them. The PD externally declared it a cold case due to public pressure into another case, which was the death of a suspected whistleblower who had information pertaining to the Rosin Federation’s sports program. However internally, resources were allocated to keep the case going on. 6 months passed by and no evidence came through until finally a lead happened. One of “Cop X’s” victims was still alive. In fact Cop X was injured during the confrontation. Police rushed to the scene and after a few moments they found who Cop X was… Javier’s Uncle.
Javier’s uncle one could say was the bad apple of the family. He was a ex-cop who was discharged after botching a university student's murder case. The case was high profile due to that university student was related to the governor and the circumstances she died in were horrific (Head chopped off, later was found out to be a cult killing). Considered a corrupt cop after he got kicked out of the force, Javier’s uncle worked at the shipping plant. The story was that one day he saw his old partner, mainly deal with a simple theft. He attempted to approach his partner but was rejected, with his partner simply stating he wouldn’t want to associate with a dirty cop. A few days later his ex-partner didn’t show up. The murder case went cold and it was nothing special. Since then various of cops, some associated to some not associated with Javier’s uncle were murdered.
After the trail this created a severe rift in the family. Javier’s mother’s sister was under constant fire and she later committed suicide by overdosing on anti-depressant medication. Javier’s sister left for the Conglomerate and was last known to be working as a banker. While Javier’s mother went back home and stayed with the only family that remained. Of course on Javier’s father side there was a huge rift which ended up in a legal battle. Javier’s mother, aided by her family and some of Javier’s income managed to win the legal case, retaining most of Javier’s fathers assets, including the bank accounts, the house and the car. Of course since then both sides have stopped talking with one another
5 years after the case, Javier’s mother died from cancer. With that loss and his father’s side still refusing to even contact them and grieve with him he decided to take the mission aboard an Ark. He felt that he had nothing else to lose but also, this could be the adventure he needs.

Cassandra Atkov was born to a mother with heritage from the European Confederacy, and a father from the Nagasaki Conglomerate. Both were living within the Conglomerate at the time. The mother was a prominent figure within the Conglomerate’s government, and held a fair say in what happened within the country. Her father was a well-regarded fleet admiral, who controlled the Conglomerate’s main fleet at the time.
Her life was fairly standard until the age of 5, where her mother was assassinated due to her position in the government. All signs pointed to the Roslin Federation being responsible. This served as fuel for the Cold War that was in action at the time. This enraged her father, who sent her to a children’s home so he could focus on his duties within the navy. This happened only a year before the three day war.
Upon the date of the three day war, the father passed in the fighting, making her an orphan. Within the children’s home, Cassandra had already proven to be a problem child. She refused to do what she was told; and frequently vanished from the home for days at a time. She would remain at the home until the age of 14, when the children’s home saw fit to kick her out onto the streets.
She went on to spend the next 4 years homeless, only intermittently being able to hold a job. While the factory industry within the Nagasaki Conglomerate was booming at the time, due to her issues with authority, and hatred of the Roslin Federation over the death of her mother, she would repeatedly be fired, either due to threatening or starting fights with other workers. On one occasion, even incited a riot over the Genesis Project. Eventually, on her 18th birthday, Cassandra would join the military.
Her issues with authority carried over to her basic training; where instructors found it difficult to get her to follow along. However, she remained due to the fact that she excelled at most, if not all courses. Eventually, she would go on to join the Conglomerate’s Air Force, where she revealed exceptional scores within simulators. However, her issues with authority persisted, up until her first mission.
Now 22, Cassandra was assigned to break up an apparent fight with a pack of rogue Armani weapon smugglers, on the edge of the Kuiper belt. To those who know of it, it would eventually be branded the Kuiper incident. During this fight, she showed exceptional ability at power & EM signature management of ships, earning her the nickname, Whisper. The fight was straightforward at first; with the Conglomerate winning handedly. However, when the Armani smugglers had realized they would inevitably lose, they initiated a self-destruct of their ship.
In the kamikaze maneuver, all but two of the Conglomerate’s fighters were left functional. The rest destroyed or disabled. Cassandra’s fighter had been one of the disabled, however she managed to survive on her suit’s life support long enough for rescue to arrive. Her leg blown off, she was faced with a choice; either allow herself to become heavily cybernetically augmented, or never pilot something again. Left with no choice, she accepted.
After this incident, her issues with authority vanished, and she was much more quiet and reserved from this point onwards. At the age of 25, she was offered to be part of the Genesis Project due to her abilities in combat and high simulator scores. While she had her qualms about the project, she accepted, asking to familiarize herself with the Ark’s smaller vehicles.

Cybernetic Leg - Due to the Kuiper Belt Incident, Cassandra’s leg was blown off. It has been replaced with a cybernetic variant.
Enhanced Vitals - Specific vital organs are replaced with cybernetic variants, most notably the heart. While the effects of this are normally unnoticeable for someone healthy; this allows for a pilot to perform maneuvers at abnormally high g-forces before blacking out.
Enhanced Awareness HUD - The Nagasaki Conglomerate form of smart vision; this allows for interfacing with installed cybernetics, some computers, weapons, and most notably piloted craft.
M-5 Reflex Booster - A small implant within the brain, which allows increased processing and response to incoming information.
