@RedXCrossTrue but it would have been nice if Asteria had at least one useful fighting ability. But nah, I guess it suits her char better not to have one. She'll just act as a support.
@HowlsOfWinterIn which case you could probably buff it to messing with the lives of mortals a bit more instead of outright killing them, if you'd like xP Since making mortals drop dead... well, I suppose it *is* useful. But a brutal way to solve problems for a Goddess of Fate if the same ability could also influence them to do things? It is a strong ability, so. Just a thought~
@MaeI should have explained that better. When she cuts the thread, it doesn't make them drop dead, they'll just be fated to die (accident, illness, etc) after the last event that has been woven in their thread. The death doesn't happen right away, it can happen some time in the future, maybe even after several years.
Also, i've decided that Asteria won't have access to the loom chamber in her mortal shell thus locking out all her last-tier abilities.
Right, IC is going live shortly! A few reminders since it's been a while:
This roleplay is a tragedy - bad things will happen, there will be heartbreak, and not just serious wounds but character death, in case that's not clear yet.
Events and Success chance will be determined mostly by dice - when you go somewhere, use a skill, interact with an NPC, there is a chance of success and a chance of failure. In some cases there is a chance of death. Your skills will improve your dice rolls in appropriate situations. You are of course free to be happy when you get good luck and upset when you suffer bad luck, but I don't want to be hounded about how unfair it is or that i'm being a mean GM or whatever - I will try to make sure rolls happen as transparently as I can, so you have a better idea of rough outcomes. That being said, I reserve my right as GM to roll secretly if the situation calls for it (e.g. starkissed related rolls that might give the game away)
Potentially Instakill Abilities:
This is the way I've been running this in my head, but I don't think I've stated it anywhere. Instakill abilities do not affect Players the same way as NPCs. This means:
You can instakill an NPC, be it human, monster or otherwise using your ability everytime. Unless it's pretty high up there on the magic-imbued scale(near god level), it gon die cause thats thematic and fun.
You cannot instakill another player the same way. Abilities that are 'instakill' versus environment or NPCs will still, generally, seriously affect another player, causing serious wounds ect ect. But this also depends very strongly on the situation, and, more importantly, lifeforce. If they are high lifeforce (particularly if they're higher then you), they will have higher chances to avoid the instakill effect, or not take as much damage. If they're pulling by on 1 lifeforce and are seeing visions of their dead grandpa inviting them to tea then... those are the situations where an instakill might proc. These are more extreme examples, but you get the idea.
Using lifeforce is supposed to be the big killer in this game - that it's a choice. This roleplay is supposed to be a safe setting to explore character death. Players do still experience death vs. environment but chances are y'all gonna explode yourselves deliberately out of choice and it will be glorious. To take a player out of an era for one cool scene, particularly if it's early on, isn't really fair. Of course I still encourage combat and fights to the death if it suits your character and you want to do so, just... murder responsibly, guys. Murder responsibly. The person you're murdering has alot of feelings, ok? ;_;
Of course, you may discuss in OOC and get written permission to murder someone, and then i don't care you can do what you like :DDD
Please note I don't have anyone in mind when I mention this, I've just seen a few people worried about this stuff. I may add a rule regarding instakilling pre-emptively, just so everyone's on the same page about it. Mostly because I've somehow blanked that this could be a problem xD
Character Ability Prices
Right so, heres the Ability list currently. I've been rushing to get it out so any abilities currently in orange may be subject to change. I also reserve the right to change any of these as appropriate at any time. You have been warned.
As of First Post, you will have 15 Lifeforce Points and no unlocked abilities yet. Dark Gods will have slightly more Points, for now we'll say 20. I reserve the right to buff/nerf both values when I've had a proper look but I want to get the IC up asap, so expect me to change my mind tommorror I guess? <3 <3 <3 :D
Please add these values to your sheet as soon as your able. A note on relation sheets: even mine aren't complete, so I don't expect everyone to have theirs done by the time IC goes live, as that's bad form. However, I would like them completed by this the 7th of October, aka in a weeks time. At which point I'll start chasing them up to find out the low down <3
Well then, I believe that's everything!

Standing at around 6"2, Agon was always seen as one of the taller ones in his tribe. Being lean yet rather muscular, he had a well defined body. He has a habit of walking with his back arched forward, ruining his stature and making him look much shorter then he actually is. His hair is of a deep unusual red compared to the others of the clan, which mostly have black and brown hair. His eyes have a slight golden shine in them with the outer layer being orange. He sports an outfit which gives him loads of mobility with the tail of a wolf attached to his left shoulder. It was from the first wolf he ever killed on a hunt.
His birthmark is a small red dot in the middle of his left hand palm which slightly grows into multiple directions, as if it was broken in pieces, the more often he uses his abilities.
[ ⍚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
There was something strange about the young red haired boy, although every other kid played around, that particular kid spent most of his time observing the hunters in action or spending his time watching the fauna. Agon was a very curious kid, borderline obsessed with learning and trying to be better then the other kids. This ambitious trait of his only worsened the older he got and soon changed into deep hunger for power. Now considered a man, Agon would do anything to become stronger, and spent days and nights practicing his hunter skills and observing the various creatures roaming the lands. This quickly resulted in him becoming the best hunter in his tribe with bow and sword alike.
Agon has a very short temper, and often exploded at the people for the slightest mistake. He's also quick to get provoked and will often challenge anyone that looks at him the wrong way. But since his youth, he's also very observant and can analyse people or creatures pretty fast.
He had little regard for people he considered weak and often looked down on them. They were trash to him. He did however have respect for human or creature alike that he considered strong. And treated them with utmost respect and honor. But there's a bad side to this as well, although he did treat them with respect, they became targets to overcome to him, and he would spend tremendous time observing and finding ways to surpass and eventually beat them.
Because of his obsession, Agon doesn't really have friends as he has no time for them nor does he have interest in wasting time into building friendships or what not. Also his power hungry nature is well known throughout the tribe and although his hunter companions follow his orders, they are slightly afraid of what he might do. This results in Agon being mostly alone during calm times in the tribe, where he spends time studying or training. Although it hardly bothers him, the claws of loneliness are slowly creeping upon him.
[ ⍚ ] B I O G R A P H Y
Vlad comes from a small desert tribe of nomad hunters, the Black Scorpions. Born to a simple hunter father and a simple gatherer mother, there wasn't much exceptional to be told about his family. His father died when he was 7, due to a powerful creature which managed to kill 3 of the tribesmen. Agon, which at that age was already fully focused on becoming stronger, wasn't really affected by it. His father was nothing exceptional. He was a simple hunter, someone from the background. His mother, although disturbed by Agon's worsening personality kept loving him and tried her best to raise him well.
But her son's emotional distance and the death of her husband slowly worsened the woman's health throughout the years, eventually resulting in her becoming sick 8 years later and dying soon after. Agon was 15 at the time and already a well respected hunter in the tribe. And yet again, he was hardly stuck by any emotion at his mothers death.
As time passed, Agon became stronger and better than ever at hunting, eventually surpassing the best hunter in the tribe and becoming their leader. And even though he reached his original goal, he still felt empty.. Like he was missing something important. This resulted in him starting to hunt bigger and stronger prey although the tribe could perfectly survive on the various prey they hunt on for generations. This considerably made the hunts more dangerous and many hunters that accompanied him didn't survive. The tribesmen eventually grew tired of this stopped following the redhaired hunter.
After many negotiations, since they couldn't completely leave Agon behind since he was such a successful hunter, there was an agreement that whenever he went on a hunt after powerful creatures, he would go alone.

For a god, Agni didn't look that impressive. He had long bright red hair, reaching his shoulders. His red hair would glow red depending on his mood. Same goes for his eyes. He was tall, taller than the tallest human, reaching 7"2. His body was well formed and athletic. He would often appear in his armor, as he's rarely seen without it. His armor is also pretty simple for a good, but Agni wasn't the type to care about how flashy he looked, he cared about results. His armor was perfect for that, as it protected him well while still giving him decent mobility.

Agni was born when the first flame was created. The first flame, which is the divine protector of the humans and it's guiding light, needed a guardian to protect it and thus the god came to being. You could say he was the personification of the first flame. Agni was the reason fire was introduced to the humans, multiplying their chances of survival and keeping them warm and safe. And making them strive for greatness, which drove the humans to expand and become dominant on the entire planet.
But fire wasn't only known for it's good parts, it also had it's bad sides. Fire was a destructive force in the wrong hands, destroying waste parts of land and forests and killing everything in its way.
Fire is a double edged sword, it's a powerful allie but also a dangerous enemy.

Ability 1: Fire creation Using his inner fire, he's able to materialize objects made of fire
Fire extension - when he swings his arm or leg, fire forms around them, burning his foes and can be prolonged at will. Fire materialization - Is able to create weapons or arrows at will. The weapon is made of pure fire and is as sturdy as steel. Burns everything it comes in contact with except the wearer. Fire explosion - Is able to detonate the objects he created, resulting in powerful explosions. Is especially effective when he activates this skill when shooting his arrows.
Ability 2: Fire destruction Able to create fire from his body
Fire projection - Agon is able to shoot fire from his hands or mouth, burning everything infront of him Fire shell - Agon can completely surround himself in fire, protecting him from various creatures or absorbing other sources of fire Fire meteor - Agon is able to shoot fireballs which explode on contact. The blast depends on the size and energy level of the fireball. From the smallest being able to smash boulders into pieces to the biggest ones being able to destroy entire buildings.
Ability 3: God of fire Agon's most powerful abilities, which takes a huge toll on his body and even death Prepare for combat - Is a much higher level and mix of fire materialization and shell. Creates the powerful firegod armor made from the most intense fire providing absolute heat and burn immunity and weapons of choice. The weapons are as hot as the inner of the earth and burn through everything but the strongest magical materials. Incinerate - By pointing both his hands at a certain target, Agon can shoot a powerful beam of pure fire energy, destroying most in it's path before eventually exploding in a massive explosion Supernova - Agon creates a massive ball of fire, which when shot, can cause a city wide explosion, destroying everything in it's path.

Will you participate in the Relationship Assignment?: REQUIRED This section will be replaced with a Relation Sheet.
Okay finally done! I know the character is still pretty rough and unfinished but it's so late here now and I wanna sleep haha, feel free to criticize me and tell me if I should add or remove anything. I like honest opinions! @Mae
Alright! So, I'm a bit behind. I still need to put Stalana's relationships into her CS, her Ability Prices, and then I can post. But before I do all that, I have another RP that I need to post for! Thanks for your guys' patience! ^_^
@Mae Hmm. Can I get super mental resistance? I will leave the terminator thing out for when our gods level up. lookatmyavatarI will be back
Also, in my first post, can Vadik have low life force (say like 5 or so) since Rex really hasn't settled into his host just quite yet. It should be about two weeks (IC time) before Vadik can spend his life force proper.
Also on another matter, how does my body jumping actually work? Like I have to spend some life force to jump over to a body, so if I don't have enough or die before I can jump to a new body, do Rex joins the ranks of the ghosts or he will just find another body regardless, after a certain amount of time of course.
On the subject of detached limbs, I imagine Vadik can use his 8th skill, the Architect to pick up random limbs and replace his missing ones. However, as you have stated, the results depend on the degree or number of wounds he have to repair using this method. Too much, and I imagine it would result in turning an abomination and dying.
Also, last question, can I create a type of creature for mounts used by Craenak? Like a feline type of animal, great when traversing uneven grounds of snow-covered mountains, good for burst of speed, but fall short when it comes to maintain constant speed?
I would like to join but I am not sure if I understand everything perfectly. I made a CS, please tell me my mistakes and gentle. @mae

As a human, Dagon is patient and forgiving but mostly silent. He prefers to not waste words as strange as that sounds. He hides he emotions behind stone face when he is upsetm and when he is happy his emotions are worn on his sleeve. Maybe a better explanation would be that he believes he should only speak when he needs to, as to not say something useless or something he would regret. He detests violence, and while he is willing to defend himself and those who are innocent, he will take every option before fighting. Dagon finds humor very enjoyable, as well as reading, eating, and helping others. He enjoys Sci-fy books, eating spicy food, and enjoys helping those who are less fortunate than him. His favorite color is midnight blue. He prefers long sleeve clothing and jeans, and despises wearing shorts or short sleeve shirts. Dagon feels very uncomftorable wearing shorts or short sleeve shorts, almost as if he was exposed in some way. He also prefers to have his clothes more tight fitted than loose. He wears his prefered style of clothing at any time or season of the year. Dagon enjoys being around people who bring joy or laughter to him or those around them. He may prefer one gender, but he does not judge anyone for who or what they choose to love or desire. He has no desire to be married, and is not picky when it comes to his female lovers. He does judge those who break their sacred vow of marriage harshly, as he believes marriage is something that if you choose to enter with someone, you should keep to it. He does not partake in spirits, but does not judge those who do. It is not as if he has something against alcohol, but he prefers to have a sober state of mind at all time. Spirits tend to bring out his worst qualities, and prevent him from hiding his thoughts or feeling. He loses his verbal filter, and speaks more than he will in an entire week. Dagon loves nature, and likes to explore wherever he can. He does not claim very many ma tieral possessions. In fact Dagon does not own a home. He lives outside, and finds his food where he can. Dagon does this by choice, not by being forced in any way shape or form. He has never valued matieral possessions much, and held more value in honesty and innovation.
Dagon never knew his real family, being an orphan for as long as he could remember. Where this orphanage was, Dagon could never say. He lived in the orphanage until he was 16. When he was a child, while he was growing up, he learned that peoples true intentions were showed by their action and not their words. The other kids at the orphanage would bully him for no reason other than he was different. He prefered to read instead of playing outside with everyone, and when everyone was inside he prefered to explore by himself. He was often reprimanded for his disobiediance. But he never truly meant any harm to anyone, or to disrespect anyone of his elders. He just wanted to learn, to explore. Those around him would only slow him down in his mind, reason being is that until he was older he would not have many friendly interactions with people. He held no specific love for anyone in his orphanage, but he did not hate anyone. Not even his bullies. He felt sorry for them, for he realized they felt just as trapped as him but instead of doing something productive with it they took it out on him. He never fought back against his bullies, and he never hurt them with his words. When he turned 16, he simply woke up that morning and walked out with a bag full of supplies and a few spare clothing. Over the years he learned that not everyone was as selfish and cruel as his orphan family members, and he took several lovers and met many great people. Even though he was homeless and had to work for his next meal, he never stole from those who treated people fairly, and he always found a way to stay clean and fresh smelling. He experienced many things while living his life up until now, most of which he would be willing to tell if he was in a story telling mood.
Height: 6'2/ Hair Color: Changes with his current taste, but is currently Midnight Black/ Eye Color: Hazel Brown/ Facial Hair: None/ Skin tone: Mediterranean, Tan/ Hair Style: He prefers his hair pulled back and made into a ponytail.
Pothos is open and warm, friendly an inviting. He is extremely flirty, and finds joy and happiness in everything and everyone. He prefers to look at the brightside of everything, and it would take something inconcievable to piss him off. He can veiwed sometimes as chaotic neutral, be it that his views on things can be.....harsh. He is the God of desire and yearning, and he encourages everyone to bend to their desires and what they yearn. In whatever way they can. Even if do soemthing......revolting to achieve what they sought out to do or possess.
Pothos was the god of sexual longing, yearning and desire. He was one of the winged love-gods known as Erotes. Late classical writers describe him as a son of Zephyros (the west wind) and Iris (the rainbow) representing the variegated passions of love. The three Erotes--Pothos, Himeros and Eros--were often depicted together in Greek vase painting. Pothos took human lovers often, and loved walking the earth. He much preffered it to living in Olympus. There, everything seemed so perfect, so clean, and so fake. Everything there, while yes many desired, was too easily attainable. On Earth, people yearned and lusted, but things were not as easy to obtain, making the lust and yearning larger and stronger. On a day that seemed more average than most days, he spotted his starkissed. She had been bathing a river, alone, and she radiated everything he desired and more. Pothos was never sure how or why, but chose not to question it. He wanted her, but more than that he yearned for her to want him. Pothos, for weeks, would watch her from afar. He would watch and study, trying to figure out what drew him to her. He swore he wouldnt but he was slightly confused by his own feelings, whihc were much stornger than any feelings towards any women before. After weeks, he could bare it no longer. He introduced himself to her, and began courting her. He would appear in human form, never hinting at his Godly heritage and nature. He courted her, swooned her, romanced her, he did everything in his power to please her. But he did not share a bed with her. Not yet. After woohing the women for months, he decided he could not take it anymore, and confessed his undying love for her and his true nature. She recieved him with open arms, and they married shortly after. You may think this strange, but you see he was the God of desire, yearning, and lust. And he only had those feelings for his new wife. No other women could compare, and he loved her with all his soul. And her to him in return. When she died, he was devasted. He could not make her immortal, and so he was forced to hold her until she took ehr last breath. Over the course of her many different life times, He watched over her. He kept her safe, and when she was sad sometimes she could even feel his force watching her. He also kept track of her lineage, for while they were together whe they were wedded, she gave birth to his son. He watched over them, but never interfered. It was not the Godly way. While he was married to her technically, he made the mistake of believing that the version of her he married was still his wife, not these other lifetimes of her. He still felt loyalty to her. Eventually though his spirit began to break and crumble and he felt hollow inside. He missed his wife, and he could only ever watch her in all her lifetimes but never touch. He still only desired her. This brought about a wave of sorrow across the land. People lost their motivation, their desires, their yearning. For sex at first, but it grew dangerously to everything later on. The Dark Lords came for him, and he did not resist. They tore his Immortal soul from his body, and cast him to the mortal realm forever. He still contained his Godly aura of desire, lust, and yearning though. As he grew older as a human, this aura would activate and become stronger.
(1)Revelation Elevation: This ability allows, upon skin to skin contact, for ones truest and darkest desires to be revealed. This ability does not allow the caster to choose which desire, or how the subject will act out.
(2 Not Active)Eye of the Beholder: With eye contact between caster and subject, which must be maintained for three seconds, the subject becomes instantly sexually attracted and wishful of the caster. Subject can resist if will is strong enough, and original opinion is that they do not desire him. The subject has total control over their actions still, they just beome insanely aroused.
(3 Not Active)Deliverance of Peace: With only a moment of eye contact and skin to skin contact, he can erase a persons urges, desires, yearnings, and motivations. They do not die, they simply become tranquil. They want for nothing, they care for nothing, they wish for nothing, they feel nothing. They become husks of the person they were.
@Doltboy Characters must be accepted before they go in the CS tab. Please remove the post and add the CS to the OOC :L Also going to look at the pending characters in a moment, just doing some IC stuff first.
@RedDusk super mental resistance sounds perfect for him. and it'll be very useful, as like, the only character who has it :P and yes, he can start low <3 I would say you use up the lifeforce in your host, use that to jump. Any "leftover" lifeforce you need to pay will be taken in some way from the new host.
I would say his architect ability is unique in that regard. When I was thinking healing I was thinking the nice kind... not the monstrous eldritch horror of his magic xD That's perfectly fine.
Yep also fine.
Dice Mechanics
Ok so, I don't think I've made myself clear when I've explained the Dice Mechanics :L
It doesn't matter so much on the first post, but for example @BlackPanther hunting a big cat wouldn't immediately result in success. I'll accept this in the first post as it's an entrance for your character, but in future things like that will be rolled for with a skill adjustment :D
The reason for this is most characters will always have scenes where if they do something they're good at, they succeed. And rarely have I seen a character lose a limb, go into a coma, experience something really bad from a fight because they don't have to. As this is a tragedy roleplay, there will be a risk of failure at all times.
@Angel Eyes is a good example of leaving things open ended, but you don't need to leave it as open ended as he did to make it work. For example, [RedXCross] has had Numas have a vision, and I will be able to give him some unique and useful information using the dice because of it.
If you check The Dice Room, rolling is already underway for unique situations surrounding these characters. For example, Numas would of got a bad vision initially - but because of his skills, and the luck of the dice, he now gets one of the most useful visions he could have. And there is no way for him to know the information I am giving him otherwise - if Numas had just had a complete vision he decided on, he wouldn't get any information about plot, Starkissed, Dark Gods, other Gods, even Xyxis because there would of been no way to interact with it. Just as the hunting could lead to useful items or information.
Just something to keep in mind. I know most people aren't used to roleplaying this way, so it might take some time to get used to, but I hope you'll find it interesting as when your character does something really awesome, it'll be all the more awesome because it means they actually overcame the odds to do it.
@BlackPanther btw not having a rag on you or anything, just you, Angel and Numas being really good examples. As I said, for opening posts it's fine.
5’4”, with a diminutive, apparently frail, somewhat elfin build. Eye colour varies between all sorts of greys, blues, greens, and browns. No one can quite agree upon this. Shoulder length, straight, mousy brown hair. Relatively large ears and nose for his frame. Slight scar under his right eye. Holds himself with great poise. Nose piercing is a small bone. Tends to be smiling in all but the grimmest of situations. Wears cloth clothing. Minor birthmark.
Pippino’s birthmark is across his chest, where, at first glance, it has the appearance of a birthmark. However, when properly scrutinised, it seems like a piece of writing in the tongue of the ancients. When it was finally translated, the translation read ‘THE MARK OF MORALITY’. More birthmark-style writing in the same language that will spread over the body..
