The teleporation glyph glowed with a gentle blue light, and Mede Artus, Chief Custodian, admired the glow. No matter how many times he operated it, the entrance glyph to the school was a thing of wonders - all the more reason to admire the Headmaster, who constructed it. Normally, knowing how to operate a glyph meant that you would know how to reconstruct it. This was especially true when the one studying it was a Master such as himself, but after thirteen years of working on it, he was still no closer to figuring out how it was made. The whole thing was so complex, with facets hidden within facets, and yet, it still allowed for even an Novice to be able to operate it - so long as they were given the proper tools.

Finished with his admiration, Mede stepped back, and stretched. The new semester was starting and that meant new blood would be rushing in again, though he wondered if it would replace the amount lost. Every year the teachers made bets - would there be more or less students than last year? Mede himself bet on more this time. Last year, relatively few dropped out and there were no graduations either. So unless a startling number of people declined their invitation to the university, they would probably see a decrease in the number of available dorm rooms.

Once the students arrived, that meant the opening ceremony had officially begun. Which also meant that breakfast was being served. Mede grinned. There was nothing - nothing - better in the school than breakfast. It was the Headmasters creed, no, demand that every day began with a good meal. And by every god, were the meals good. It was also another reason why students were brought here at 12 am. So they wouldn't have a chance to eat yet, and by the time the opening ceremony concluded at 2, they would be practically starving.

Of course, that made the breakfast served all the more savory. The Headmaster was a cunning bastard he was.

He looked at his watch. The spring equinox was almost here. Soon, students would appear on the glyph, and hopefully, they skipped breakfast.

Charles would look at the man who stepped before him showing no hostility, hearing the man speak Charles would look sideways at him "yes.. I am Charles.." he would say in an emotionless voice. He would look at the envelope picking it up and looking inside it at it's various contents. He would look back at the man "..I don't know.. what any of this is... but.. it sounds.. like I may be able.. to learn more about myself.. and about.. this world.. I have many questions.." he says, his voice pausing between groups of words because of him not being use to speaking, even though he knew he could. after a slight pause for a moment, "...I.. Will go.." he would say finally to the man before him, certain this could provide him with answers he seeks.

~Viola Rifei~

Viola, had already been up for about two hours. She was usually the first one awake in her dorm, and had often been asked if she ever slept by her roommates considering she also could be found awake in the long hours of night. It was foolish to think a human didn't need sleep, but it was still quite funny to see peoples reactions if she said she in fact never did. Not that she didn't sleep, but she only slept around five or so hours every day. A perfectly acceptable amount.

Currently, she was sitting at a small table in her room. The breakfast buffet may have been after the ceremony, but to be perfectly honest, as good as it was Viola just wasn't a fan of breakfast in general. But well, she wasn't a fan of most food except those of the sweet in nature so unless the breakfast buffet suddenly had cake, she probably wouldn't eat all that much despite what the headmaster wanted.

So, she would eat before. It wasn't that difficult to have food in her dorm, after all.

"It's almost twelve!"

And that would be Karen. Viola chuckled quietly as a teapot floated over and poured some tea into a small cup. Unlike her other dorm mates who relied on an alarm clock to wake them up, she had a rather more...efficient method. Low-class poltergeists made for some surprisingly good house keepers if you could make nice with them...granted, they wouldn't do anything for Karen or Luna except make a mess of their rooms, but details details.

Finishing the last of a small bit of cake, Viola stood from her small table, glancing over to the window. It was still dark out of course, but that wasn't much of an issue for her. She often made forays into the graveyard at night simply to see how the more intangible spirits were doing and had more often than not made friends with them, aside from a few more stubborn ones. Her room was somewhat more ornately decorated than the others - Mistress Fiore had been rather generous with the furnishings when sending her here, and she had did her best at...'remodeling'.

Most of her room had been decorated in an obvious Gothic style. Purple curtains were draped over the window, blocking out most of the light during the day, only being dimly lit by a few light sources. Most spirits from the graveyard were more comfortable in such dimly lit places, after all and she wanted to at least make them somewhat comfortable.

A plush grey and red carpet covered most of the floor. The table was polished oak wood, and looked to be quite expensive despite being somewhat small. Four black chairs with red cushions sat around it, though they didn't seem to be in use. The only thing that would seem somewhat out of place, would be a large, white furred teddy bear laying on the bed.

"Suppose I should go say hello, no?" She chuckled seemingly to no one in particular, the teapot only clattering as it moved across the table in response. She left her room, closing it behind her - the poltergeists would be less inclined to make a mess of the rest of the girls dorms if she made it clear they were to stay in there. Granted, it was always fun to see them cause a bit of mischief...like the current teapot and teacup that had followed her out of the room, floating behind her a little distance.

"Morning, Karen." She chuckled, giving her roommate a friendly smile as she left her room. "Trouble waking up? I could have one of my friends give you a wake-up call next time so you won't be so late, hehe." To emphasize the point...the teapot opened the lid, and tossed some tea right at Karen's face. Thankfully, it wasn't hot.

BOOM

The usual sound of magical blasts tearing the air echoed loudly in one of the sound-proof rooms of one of the university’s gym facilities. Already early in the morning, students who were eager to start their day with a bang were gathering at the gyms complex, and often were those who arrived early would come at complex A. A wide variety of students could be found at the gym at this time of the day. Disciplined students who wanted to test their skills while the classes were not crowded, or even new students who were a tad shy to show off used this opportunity to train away from prying eyes.

In one of the classrooms, there were already a group of students that had gathered to watch one peculiar student experimenting with his magic. Each morning, one young man never failed to come here and blow some stuff up, much to his comrades’ amusement. The young man in his early twenties was Allen Strauss, journeyman of Elemental Magic. Ever since he had entered the academy, the young Mage had the routine of coming at the gyms early in the morning to train himself in the arts of magic, to test his abilities and ever surpassing his limits.

Today was no different from any other day. Again and again, sounds of explosions would come from the classroom Allen was training in. Today, he was training his Fire Elemental Magic. Hurling fireballs at fireproof dummies, creating circles of fire around him to flaming walls, the disciplined young mage was putting on quite a show of offensive and flashy spells for his peers to see. From the other side of the blast-shielded windows, Allen could hear the cheers of his comrades, always encouraging him to show more.

With a smirk, Strauss got into a different stance. This time, not only the red sigil on his hand was glowing, but the blue mark on his left also glowed. To those who have been actively looking at Allen, they knew what was coming next, and some took a step back from the window. Concentrating the elements of Water is his left hand, and Fire in his right, Allen brought his both hands together with a slam, circles of blue and red appearing around him.

While Allen looked confident in his abilities on the outside, deep inside, he was struggling to keep perfect equilibrium in his magic. To successfully achieve an elemental merging, he had to focus on creating a harmony between the two elements. But fusing two opposite elements was no simple task, and the outcome would show just that.

Just as it seemed steam was blowing between Allen’s hands, a massive eruption of fire came out from his body, knocking the young man down just as a cloud of brimstone began floating in the room.

‘Oh damn, that can’t be good…” He said out loud.

Without thinking twice, Allen quickly got up on his feet and dashed towards the exit, joining up with his comrades behind the blast shield. He was just in time, for the brimstone cloud literally began raining fire in the classroom, activating the safety water system. A few students looked shocked to see hellfire raining inside the classroom, while others were laughing, effectively entertained by their comrade. One of them walked up to Allen and gave him a pat on his shoulder.

“Hell Allen, when I said the day you would master your dangerous magic would be when it would rain in hell, I didn’t mean to literally make hell rain on us!” The jestering boy laughed.

“Oh please, Alec. I was this close to actually make Steam Magic! I guess I focused too much on Fire and not enough on Water…” Allen replied to his roommate.

After a few minutes of fire alarms echoing in the complex and water system drenching everyone, one of the university’s security personnel barged into the complex and meet up with the few remaining students who remaining behind the glass shield to watch hell pouring down into the classroom on the other side.

“Not again! It’s the third time this week alone! Who is it this time? Alec, Sylvia, Allen, Joey? Can’t you kids just do like everyone else this morning and prepare for the opening ceremony? It’s in only a hour, for gods’ sake!” The officer reprimanded, half-guessing who was the culprit this time behind this ridiculous show of flames.

“Sorry sir. Allen slipped again. Wai-what? The ceremony is only in an hour? OH damn, better hurry back and change then! Sorry, can’t stay to talk! Let’s get a move on bro!” Alec said in a hurry, grabbing his roommate’s arm and hushing him out from the gym. Outside the red-haired boy was grinning from ear to ear.

"Saved your ass again pal. What would you do without me, huh?" Alec boasted, giving a light punch on Allen'S shoulders.

The silver-haired young man simply sighed in response with a smile and nodded, pretending to not have heard what his friend just said. Instead, he looked towards the sky.

"I wonder if we're going to see Anna today. Can't wait to go eating after such a work-out, and meet this year's newcomers." Allen commented as the duo of journeymen made ther way towards the dorms.

Noah Salik || 14-B

Noah got up from his couch, his iconic red cloak already dawned onto his body, the knocking echoed throughout his dorm. He moved towards the door, pushing the door slightly, the beaming lights of the outside pierced Noah's sheltered eyes, before the man in a navy blue suit could be distinguished, a Herald. The Herald told Noah he would be having someone new in his place, he gave the Herald one last glance before slightly nodding and closing the door. Noah looked around, the Dorm itself barely looked like anyone had moved in in the first place. His room however was where his character came out. Noah opened the blinds, but was once again attacked by the outside forces. After moments of getting ready for this opening ceremony, Noah had finally left his dorm. He could hear the sounds of laughter and enjoyment fill the school. Noah walked with his hands in his black jeans, his cloak around his back but his hood left down, his eyes wandered without any sense of direction, lost in his head.

"How dare you disobey your Master!"

Noah was brought back to reality with the searing pain shooting through his head, his hand moved rapidly to the pain and clenched, the sound of his old Master still haunted his dreams, but now affected him while awake. Dreams seeming real as if they've happened but no recollection of existing. Noah shook the pain away before recollecting himself, continuing to walk among the sounds of happiness.

Britney Chambers || Grassy Field

Britney was already cleared of her dorm, leaving her two roommates to dwell among themselves, while Britney was secluded on a grassy field, she was up early to get more training in. Gravity Magic: Intense Push! she shouted, holding her hand against the ground, the intense feeling coursing through her arms before the power released. A circle the size of tire started slowly crushing against the ground before it gave way, clearing 1 meter down. Britney panted, her breath was loud and fast, no time for breathing, she had used her magic. She laid down, staring up at the sky, raising her hand towards it, "I.. need, I need to get stronger..."

Perhaps I should skip the opening ceremony, Leo Young thought. I mean, it's not like I have to attend, as I've been studying here my whole life.

Which was exactly the problem; Leo wanted to get out of the Academy now, in order to seek his parents and the person who loved him, Daniel. This was even more imperative now that he had received a message from the latter, revealing new things that, once their full impact had been assessed, was going to make him assess his entire life so far. Basically, Daniel had sent this message:

Hey, apparently, your parents have a history of conceiving children and then abandoning them to 'keep them safe'; you're not the first. In their nebulous fight - which may or may not involve Void-users; my investigation is leading multiple ways - they had another child and abandoned him for his own protection. That child? The Allen Strauss Guy who keeps trying to blow up stuff in wacky experiments*. - Love you a lot, Daniel.

First, Leo was flummoxed, so much so that he didn't notice that he and another student was being transferred to Noah Salik's room**; not that he cared about the rumors about Noah; the guy himself didn't sound that bad. Then...he was angry. How could his parents have kept this from him, or his brother?! 'His own protection' was no longer a satisfactory explanation, even with rumors of Archemages killing each other and using everyone else as their pawns.

Yes, Leo suspected that Archemages and Grandmasters were involved in what had made his and Allen's parents and Daniel abandon him, or rather, them. Fuck Archemages - except the Headmaster - and their subordinates then, if that's the case. Right now, though, he had a long-lost sibling to see.

But first, he would meet up with Noah; best to give the information to someone just in case he wasn't able to meet Allen today. Running out of the room, he caught up with the Blood Mage, then said to the guy:

"Hey, if something distracts me, tell Allen Strauss that we're blood siblings. Also, I don't think you're a traitor, you're actually a pretty okay guy. Anyway, hope the Orientation isn't too boring!" And with that, he went off to search for Allen Strauss, intercepting him as he and his friend, Alec, were heading to the dorms. Confronting the also white-haired, ponytailed man, Leo would be blunt and upfront:

"My name is Leo Young, and you probably know me as someone who was raised in the Academy. You too have been abandoned at birth, but in the outside world. Here's the rub; apparently, the same parents abandoned us, just in different places. We're blood siblings."

Well, guess Noah wasn't needed after all. Then, thinking Allen might not believe him, Leo then said:

"If you don't believe me, we can go to someone who can tell that we are kin; there are plenty of Magi with the needed powers. Also, the reason our parents abandoned us was apparently for our own safety - Grandmasters and Archemages are involved. Those jerks."

"Oh, and you're a Mage with control of multiple elements, while I have specialist power over Mana itself. I believe we'll have much to teach each other, especially as we're both on the verge of becoming Masters." That part was true; Leo was heading for Master territory and only uncertainty was keeping him from that esteemed rank.

"Also, want to quest for our parents once we reach Master-rank? That'll help us get stronger, strong enough to finally smack them around should we meet up with them - I want to teach them a lesson." Leo was sincere, although part of him was wondering if he wasn't overloading Allen with information.

"Oh, and I hope this wasn't too much to take in all at once - sorry about that."

((*Agreed with Allen's player))

Just as the two roommates were heading towards their dorm, they were intercepted by a well-groomed young man. Much like Allen, this guy’s most striking feature was his white hair, much alike the color of Strauss’. Surely was he someone not like the others, the two thought simultaneously.

Allen recognized the fella however, even if he probably didn’t know who he was. He had heard of someone who have been a student here way before he was, in fact spent his whole life living here, as others claimed. Apparently, his parents abandoned him here for gods know why. He could only feel but sympathy for the boy, he knew what it was like to living without knowing his parents.

But then the shocker came. Speaking with absurd speed and tons of information to assimilate, Allen had a hard time to fully understand that Leo’s parents, who abandoned him here, were in fact his parents as well. Not only that, but they were apparently brothers. Then Leo suggested they could teach each other concepts of magic, given Allen was specializing in Elemental Magic and Leo on Prime Magic. Not only that, but the would-be younger brother also suggested that once they reach Master rank, they should go look after their parents to scold them or whatever reasons he might add.

Indeed, it was too much to take in at once. Allen already felt like an aching starting in the back of his head just trying to find something appropriate to answer. He didn’t want to come off as mean, nor did he wanted to think the guy might be crazy, but the abruptness of the situation made it just really hard to believe.

How come he knows all of this information and just now decided to say all that? Was there irrefutable proof behind his words? How does one claim to be your brother after frequenting the same university for 14 years without even meeting each other and be sure of that fact? There were too many questions and not enough answers to those to determine if Leo’s statement was true or not.

Knowing Allen for years now, Alec could tell just how nerve-wracking Allen was in now. He just had this idiotic smile plastered on his face without saying anything. That alone was quite unusual for your friendly and overly-social Elementalist. Knowing his friend was probably in a deep state of confusion and probably wouldn’t make a move for himself, Alec grabbed Allen by the shoulders and dragged him away like a puppet.

“Not that I want to interrupt this touching brotherly reunion, but we REALLY should be preparing for the opening ceremony. Allen here just LOVES that event and wouldn’t want to miss the chance of speaking with the newcomers, right Al?” the red-haired boy said.

“Eeeeeh… YES! Sorry, it’s just a lot to take into consideration right now. We’ll talk about this after the ceremony, alright?” Strauss managed to blurt out in his confused state, still being dragged further away by his pyromancer friend.

Phagora was disoriented by the teleportation spell. She'd never experienced magic like this, and as she arrived her surprises continued. The campus was huge!

She gathered up her meager belongings and headed for the dorms. Get in, get her stuff unpacked, and head down to the dining hall. That was the game plan, anyway. She signed herself in, dumped her clothes on her bed, and went down to get a little food.

Breakfast (he he) was a heaping helping of scrambled eggs and a pile of sausage. She sat down at a table alone, not sure if anyone would join her.

L E E
12-A

Lee moved around the room with a grace only those who had traversed its walls for a decade and then some could manage. She had called 21-A her home years before the exceptionally fit woman doing her morning ritual had. Xinhua had entered its door to be greeted by the sight of a forest within its walls, with vines creeping up the walls and forming imageries of woodland creatures in their natural habitat. Even the blonde's bed was a comfort made out white birch and evergreen fern, manufactured into the modern marvel of mattress and pillows. There might have even been a few canaries flittering about, making anyone who stepped in the room feel as though they'd been transported into a world of fantasy where a lovely young woman sang to the woodland creatures. When Xinhua had made herself comfortable in her bedroom, Lee withdrew her influence, but allowed the warming fragrance of her garden to fill their shared dormitory.

She paused from tending to her plants to give Xinhua an appreciative smile. She had heard the boys, and even some of the girls, around the school whisper in soft voices about her roommate's body, and at first their attraction to her was not something Lee understood. There, watching the woman, Lee found that she got what they found so alluring about her. Heh. She wondered if some of Xinhua's admirers could see her as Lee did every morning; she was sure the drool pooling at their feet would soon make a lake.

Chuckling to herself, Lee moved to give Xinhua's hawk an appreciative pat, feeling it preening slightly at the attention she gave. Then, in a moment of impulsiveness, she did the same to its master, enjoying the slight pause it elicited from the woman and the literal spark that danced on her fingertips. She quickly moved the hand away and pointed it in the direction of the dining area, intent on redirecting the lightning, but it died on her skin. Lee frowned, but the foreign expression didn't last on her lips. She grinned at Xinhua before dancing over to her room, miraculously not tripping on the bit of root that jutted at the doorway.

She had to prepare. They were welcoming new students that day, and it was always something Lee thoroughly enjoyed. New students meant new stories of the world beyond the school's borders. She'd heard of a giant statue in the image of a woman holding a torch, signifying liberty. She was sure nobe would be as appreciative of that word as her should she be able to finally gaze at it with her own eyes. She shook her head. Such depressing thoughts on such a wondrous day was not something she wanted.

After a quick shower and a change of clothes, she peered outside her room and called out to her roommate. "Xin, want to walk with me to the Mess Hall?" She placed a hand on a nearby root and muttered a word under her breath. After her eyes unclouded, she grinned at Xinhua, practically vibrating with energy. "Mede's already at the Glyph. The new students will be arriving soon." And food. Food was sure to attract Xinhua.

Luna calmly dipped the bag in the cup of tea, flipping through the pages of her book as she sat by a table in the middle of the living room. She barely raised a hand in a greeting as Karen stormed by, shouting in panic. The girl managed a small smirk to herself, taking a sip of the newly brewed morning cup. It was her daily ritual. Luna never did have much trouble getting up, being rather on time each day. Not to say she was a morning person at all, in fact, she rather despised mornings – until she got ahold of her tea, obviously. With a faint yawn, she closed the book, taking a last look on her attire and dusting it off in a perfectionistic manner. She had donned a woolen dress of a dark blue color, ending below her knees. Along with it, she had spent all morning fixing her hair; turning it into a neatly done spiral braid. Overall, it seemed to be the start of a most splendid day. Besides poor Karen being in an awful rush.

It was the beginning of her sixth year at the Breakfast University of Magic, and her second with Viola as a roommate, and her third with Karen. At the thought, Luna turned her head towards the door of Viola’s room. A faint chuckle from within brought a smile to Luna’s lips. Though they had only shared a room for a year, Luna had enjoyed the company of someone her age, though Viola was a little younger. Being an only child at home, it had brought a series of events regular sisters might have gone through, and certainly some beyond that. Repeatedly, Luna’s room had gotten very messy all of a sudden. She had learned it was due to Viola’s mischievous poltergeists, the little playful devils that they were. But luckily they had not decided to mess up the opening ceremony for any of the three girls. Not yet, at the very least.

Luna offered another quick wave towards the two, as Viola stepped outside. Behind the girl were a floating teapot and teacup, which couldn’t be anything but the poltergeists. Luna managed a quick wrinkle of her nose, a movement which had become quite characteristic about her. “Good morning, you two.” Luna said, packing up her things. She barely got to turn around before a yelp caused her to turn around again. With furrowed brows Luna blurted out.

“Viola! Karen is already late as it is!”
And with quick steps Luna moved towards a drawer, pulling out a dry dishcloth, offering it to Karen with a sigh. Time, ironically in Luna’s case, were running from them. Nonetheless, she looked over her shoulder and peered at Viola. She did always have trouble getting too mad at Viola, even if the spirits did become a bother every now and then. Instead of scolding her or the likes, Luna peered towards the now empty floating teacup, wetting her lips.

“I’d appreciate it if you lot could at least wait until the ceremony is over, to toss tea at us.” Luna said with a bemused smile, before gathering the rest of her things. Stopping abruptly in her movement, she looked towards the supposed location of the poltergeists, speaking again. “Let me rephrase that. I’d appreciate if there was no tea-tossing at all. Or any other mischievous acts.”
She opened the door to the halls, awaiting the two younger girls. Yes, the ceremony always was interesting. There was a sort of sport in making bets on who’d be left the following year, and who’d drop out for whatever reason. Her eyes went to Karen – the small girl had a certain charm about her, always either being late, or having the most interesting combination of clothes.

“Well, come on you two. Don’t want to miss out on anything, no?”

The teleportation glyph shone with life as Mede threw open the barrier between it and the school, ushering hundreds of new students inside. The ages between them were varied; others were old enough to be adults, others were barely looked past seven. Still, all of them looked around in wonder as they were met with the sight of the schools entrance: A large marble arc with all sorts of figures carved into it. The fairies that usually roamed around the school had gathered, creating a brilliant display of light, while the familiars of older students joined in. One student had flown above them riding a giant pigeon.

"So welcome everyone! Oh, and please don't form contracts with the fairies, or they'll all start asking for one. Anyway, while I'd like to officially welcome you to the university, that's not my job! So instead, I'd like to call on the man who's job that is. Headmaster sir, if you'd please?" said Mede, gesturing the man, who'd just landed in from the sky.

"Thank you for that, Mede. First up, I'd like to thank you for coming. It does my heart joy to see new students walk through that portal. Secondly, I can see some of you trying to form a contract with the fairies. I advise you to reconsider - trust me, you will not be able to pay their price, and thirdly, I think I'll continue this introductory speech on the train."

Question marks popped up as the new students looked around for any sign of a train. With the light brightening the area made it clear that while grandiose, the area they were in was a train station, they didn't see any sign of a train.

Suddenly, a powerful wind blew towards them, nearly blowing away the fairies and causing a few students to trip. All of a sudden, a gigantic silver-and-black train had appeared right behind the Headmaster.

"That would be so much more exciting, don't you think?" said the Headmaster with a slight smile.

The rest of the ceremony would occur on the train, finally stopping at the Communal Mess Hall, where a large feast of a breakfast was being prepared.

Charles would listen to the man as he followed him, nodding as he spoke "I see..." he would respond when the man told him his name. When they was in the darkness he would look around slightly confused, noticing the other people, wondering if it would be alright being near so many people. When the rift opens he looks to the new person as they spoke, then turns back to Sergei and would nod as he told him to follow the other person for now. He would move with the rest of the students exiting the rift and listen looking at Mede as the person spoke, before looking at another new person. Staying silent as he listened. When the powerful wind blew his clothes would ruffle and he would get a confused look wondering why he felt such a strong wind, shifting his body's weight forward to keep himself from being knocked down. He would look at the train that appeared with interest, not at how it appeared but at the train itself. He would follow along with the other students, when they reached the food he would look at the feast that was prepared he would simply look slightly confused at the food with disinterest.

"All right," spoke Leo, "after the ceremony." Well, that went well, thought the boy. Okay, make that better than expected. At least Allen didn't reject him, and may even be willing to consider that his revelation was true. Even so, though, gazing at the other person's white hair, Leo would sigh about how he had been so blind as to not see the resemblance before. But today was not the time for regrets, now was the time to make new friends, friends that won't replace Daniel, but might still find a place in his heart.

And, well, as it turned out, upon reaching the mess hall and breakfast, Leo found himself sitting beside a young boy, only nine years of age, who looked at the food disinterestedly. A smile at that:

"Hey, kid, what's your name?" Leo would say. "Mine is Leo Young."

With Leo seemingly understanding the situation and leaving the two roommates on their way, Alec and Alec headed towards Complex C of the dorm facilities. I would take quite a trek afoot to reach their room, since 33-C was literally at the opposite side of Gyms Complex A in the campus. However, the Headmaster of the university was a keen man, and knew not all students had the means to travel the whole campus by foot. As such was created the speedy magical train.

“Well, looks like we’ll be missing the opening ceremony afterall…” Alec stated.

“Not really. If we’re going according to last year’s ceremony, we might just be in luck. Part of the ceremony takes place on board of the train before everyone heads out for the mess hall.” Allen replied, used to 14 years of participating in the opening events.

Just as both of the guys had reached the gyms complex’s train station, they were already greeted by fellow students from earlier. While not every students were interested in welcoming the new arrivals, practically everyone were going to the dining hall for a common reason: the university’s exquisite breakfast. Every day’s breakfast was making part of the academy’s great reputation, and it wouldn’t have been if it wasn’t for the Headmaster to be so enthusiastic about students starting their day with a grand meal.

“Allen, are you really going to the opening ceremony dressed like that? Not that everyone here mind your flashy red coat, but you know, burnt spots, sweat, dirt and drenched doesn’t really honor your looks.” One of the students said, chuckling as he looked over the silver-haired young man who looked to have crossed hell and beyond just before coming here.

Looking over his clothes himself, Allen laughed innocently as he scratched the back of his head. He sure looked like a walking mess, but with what happened at the gyms earlier, and his meeting with his would-be brother, there was no way he could get a change of clothes before the breakfast.

“Too much happened, not enough time to go change. Sometimes I wish I could just control time like some people here.” Allen answered, still grinning stupidly at how dirty he looked.

“Well it’s not like it was all THAT bad, right? Girls dig the rugged look of someone training early in the morning.” Alec joked, laughing cheerfully.

After a few minutes of friendly social chatting, the train finally arrived at the station with frightening speed. One would wonder just how that machine could stop so sharply with the speed it entered the station without throwing everyone on board at the floor. With time, Allen got used to not thinking too much about the train’s workings, as it was a marvel of pure magi technology engineered by the best of the best here.

Getting onboard, students exchanged greetings just before finding a seat. The train was quite crowded today, just as expected of today. Allen didn’t notice any new faces as he entered the train, but he figured they might be on another wagon, considering just how large the thing was.

Allen wondered if there were many new students this year. He would soon find that out, when the train would stop just in front of the dorms of complex B for going to the communal mess hall.

"Oh, morning Lee and uh, X-Xinhua."

Lee's lips curled up to form a rather uncharacteristically sadistic grin at the sound of the all too familiar voice and the sight of their young neighbour. Karen Almira was, without a doubt, one of Xinhua's many admirers. In fact, Karen was one of the more obvious ones that had inspired Lee to look more into the student body's attraction to her roommate in the first place. It was amusing how flustered they all got around the woman she basically shared her world with, and she wondered how any of them would fare should they be given the chance to trade places with her, even for a day.

Amusement aside, the grin left her lips to be replaced with a much more joyous version as she spied Karen's other roommate. She gave Karen a nod, but no more. It was not like Lee hated the girl - she wasn't sure she was even capable of such a powerful negtive emotion - but her discipline had cost Lee once. It had been an accident, she was sure, and she didn't even know if Karen was aware of it, but plague magic had destroyed a portion of the plantlife around the school once. Once. Lee had been more careful about protecting her own around the girl since.

Her roommates, on the other hand, fascinated Lee. Luna especially. Chronomancy was a powerful discipline, and Luna had proven herself to be a very capable sorceress. Despite having known her for a long time, Lee still hadn't been given a positive answer to her request of seeing the chronomancer in action. She had wanted to see how it would affect her plants - to watch a small bud blossom into a beautiful flower before her eyes on seconds. That didn't deter her from asking again and again, though. "Luna," she greeted brightly, hugging the girl before she could react. "Say yes?" It was a hopeful question. Perhaps Luna wouldn't be so secretive about her research the thirty-eight time Lee asked.

The other one, Viola, was also one that Lee liked. Spirits and her connection to them. She had wondered if it was like her connection with the animas and plant life, but it was something she pushed to the back of her mind. With her new knowledge on her true identity, she had become wary of the girl. Questions swirled around her mind. Would Viola know? Would she sense it? Lee extracted herself from Luna to look around for Viola. "Where's Viola? Are her ghosts around here?"

Charles would look towards the voice and notice a guy speaking to him, a lot older then him. He would look at Leo slightly confused as to why he even begun to spoke to him "...Charles.." he would respond in his usual emotionless voice. He would then simply look around at the other students not saying anything else, for he wouldn't know what to say besides responding to questions mainly. He would begin to understand the crazy amount of students of all sizes and ages as he paid attention to his surroundings. He begun to wonder if this is the right choose to come here, he didn't have anywhere else to go so he was going to try this place at lest. He would bring up his palm to where he could see it and a very small crystal would seem to meld through his body and clothes, he would use his other hand to pull it out of his palm when just looked normal again, then he would simply look over the crystal wondering what he should do with it.

"Wah~" Viola giggled somewhat childishly as Luna made herself known, turning to greet the older girl with a somewhat surprised expression before adding, "Big sis Luna is nice not scolding me~" In the cutest, most endearing yet oddly impertinent and cheeky way she could possibly muster. Not that Viola would care much either way. The older girl was in fact, viewed as a bit of an older sister for Viola - as an only child with a somewhat strict master to raise and teach her, she didn't get much in the way of familial relations growing up. Despite her own cynicism and general dislike of other people, she did have a somewhat of a soft spot for Luna.

In response to Luna though, the dishes clattered as if somewhat angry that Luna had even asked such a thing from them. Viola simply giggled quietly before turning her head and looking at them.

"Ah...well, Luna's weight aside - that's enough. Behave yourselves why I'm gone. And if the room isn't spotless when I return..."She gave a small smile to the two poltergeists. The other two couldn't see them, but the small spirits were suddenly quite silent, and if a ghost could feel fear, they were likely experiencing it. "You'll be wishing you went to the afterlife instead~" The tone of her voice contrasted greatly with what she was saying. She cracked open the door to her room, the teapot and teacup moving quickly inside and closing quietly behind them. When done, Viola turned back to Karen wearing her usual smile.

"Sorry about that, but you shouldn't be too hard on them, though. Poltergeists may be mostly harmless, but if angered you might not find them to be so."

Ten minutes later after Viola had gotten a rather pleasing eyefull of Karen after she had gotten out of the shower, they finally left.

"I wonder how many new students will have this year? Hopefully we'll get more neighbors."

"Oh yes, many more new people for my friendly little ghosts to play with are always welcome." Viola giggled, just as they met a person Viola could honestly care less about, and someone she was very interested in in quite a number of ways. Xinhua, who promptly went to greet Luna and Karen, and Lee. This annoyed Viola somewhat. She loathed being ignored. Granted she didn't kow the other girl all that well and had no desire too. All Viola saw, was a pretty face that was simply arrogant. She'd love to take her down a peg...or three. Thankfully, Lee quickly addressed that issue before she was too put off.

"Of course, Lee. The ghosts are being punished for throwing tea on Karen this morning though." She chuckled brightly, promptly ignoring the schools beauty and giving Lee a friendly smile. "Miss me? I might start thinking you have a thing for me, Awahaha~" Viola was very aware that the other girl wasn't human. What she was though, she had no idea. She would love to talk to Lee about it, but it'd be both rude and foolish to bring it up in the presence of others...so another time then. "I do believe big Sis Luna, Karen and I do intend on visiting the ceremony of course."

Alexander set foot just out side the premises of the school. It was quite larger than he expected. Making his way through the magical gate and into the school he stood alone. This was his first year in this new place and he had nothing and no one . The only thing he could think of was to enter the main hall and find out his room number.

"what intricate architecture" he said aloud as he trudged forward. This place was hidden so well he almost didn't notice it on his way there. He kept moving forward and entered the main hall. As he reached the front he realized he had no idea where to go.

"well that was incredibly useless" he said to himself as he sat down on a nearby staircase. Alexander sat there and staired down at his necklace than pulled his book from his messenger bag and began to do some reading. It mattered not to him anymore where he was. He had no Map and couldn't seem to find anyone for directions

@KiritoAsuna

A tanned woman stepped out of the portal, and into the school grounds. She was wearing a formal grey suit and shades. Her hair was short, cut just above her shoulders, and with straight bangs.

It only took her only a moment to catch sight of Alexander, and immediately, she approached him. In her hands was a thick, brown, leather briefcase, with the schools coat of arms stenciled on the side.

Stopping in front of, the young woman gave a short bow at the waist.

"Good morning. Alexander, correct? I apologize for my tardiness as I had another case to attend to. I am Rose Motif, an "Escort" from the school. We're tasked with helping new students fit into the university properly, if they so desire. So," she said, taking out a flyer and handing it to him, "do you desire my assistance? If not, then I will be on my way."

The flyer was a map of the school, along with explanations and a ticket to the bus.

Alexander jumped slightly startled from his own lack of attention payed to the woman's arrival. He stood up and smirked. "escort? "he said this with a small chuckle. Back at his home town the term ment something completely different.
Once the woman had explained herself he gave a smile and a nod. "sure. I could use a quick tour"

Alex smiled feeling quite welcome for the first time in his life. He stood up and reddied himself placing his book back in his messenger bag. "in all honesty. I am completely lost. I don't even know where my room is. " Alexander laughed at himself scratching the back of his head "so once again yes . I could defffinatly use a tour." after he finished speaking his eyes went back to a cold emotionless state . It seemed as though the only emotion he showed was in light conversation causing suck emotion to seem forced and fake.the truth we though that he very much needed a tour@TheHangedMan
