While it is perfectly allowable to play humans, Star Wars has a diversity of playable races, and you are encouraged to try various races out.

• Twi'lek - The head-tail chicks. A race that often finds themselves enslaved to others.
• Rodian - A bizarre reptilian species with a comical look, but from a culture that glorifies death and hunting, often found in the fringes of space as smugglers, assassins and others. They look cute and harmless, and it's a facade they use quite well on the unwary.
• Droid - The workhorses of the galaxy, often sent to do jobs to make organic lives easier, there are nonetheless some considerable surprises to be found among various examples of these programmed, self-aware machines.
• Wookiees - Big, hairy, scary and often misunderstood, but highly useful. If all else fails, pull their arms out.
• Duros - Blue skinned, red eyed and noseless, this race is known for their daring and as one of the first spacefaring races in the Republic. To hear the Duros tell it, they invented courage and the hyperdrive.
• Bothan - A furry humanoid race with vaguely canid features that are well known for the ferocity of their internal politics, their prowess at subterfuge and spying and their ferocity toward those they deem racial enemies.
• Other races are totally allowed so long as I can read up on them at wookieepedia, though I reserve the right to turn down anything I think is too unbalancing.

"The Mystic" is a Jedi scholar and philosopher turned battle hardened veteran of a great conflict, the transition from feverish academic to unflappable combatant unexplained as it is surprising to many in the Jedi Order. Most assume Sula went from healer and Force dreamer to battlefield fixture due to some expectations brought upon by the legacies of Nomi and Vima Sunrider.

Kal is a human of average height, standing 155 centimeters tall. His frame is lean and athletic. His brown hair is buzzed short and he is clean shaven. His skin is fair in color and his eyes are brown. A distinguishing feature that he possesses is the scar on his lower left cheek, the reminder of a childhood accident.

• Long Range Specialist - With his sniper rifle in hands, Kal is deadly from a distance. He's able to pick off targets with pure precision. His training has made him able to adapt to different distances and other variables.
• Stealth Training - Kal is also a danger at closer ranges, when stealthier tactics are needed. He has training with his stealth field generator, which bends light around him to create near invisibility. A favored tactic of his is to use the generator, plant a grenade, retreat, then activate the explosive.
• Agility - Kal's variant of armor is lighter, which allows for greater movement. Already not the largest of people, he uses his size and speed to get around the battlefield quickly, often climbing obstacles with his grappling hook to create places to snipe from.

Personality:
Kal is a sarcastic, positive man that like to look on the bright side of life. He's a friendly person that cares about his fellow soldiers and men. In bleak situations he likes to crack jokes to try to kill the tension. On the battlefield he's cautious and careful, his role as a long range marksman means he often only has one opportunity to succeed, he tries to never waste it. He doesn't have the greatest opinion of the Jedi, their insistence to fight over internal politics while the Mandalorians rampaged through the galaxy was not something he liked. But he knows they can be useful in combat and will try to his best to work with them.

He has an anger inside of him over the death of his parents, both were killed by Mandalorians in a raid of Corsin. That was the reason he joined up so willingly, he wanted to make sure no more families were torn apart by their savagery and a part of him wants revenge, though he's not that open about this opinion.

History:
Kal Vonden was born on the beautiful world of Corsin which is located in the Greater Plooriod sector in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. Kal was born a few days after the Plooriod 940, a major swoop race on Corsin. His father Gil Vonden was a famous swoop racer who won the latest edition of the race. He was an only child, who lived in the tropical islands of the gorgeous world. His family was well off and he lived in relative luxury for much of his childhood.

Kal's mother made sure that he focused on school, she did not want him following in his father's footsteps as a swoop racer, a thrilling but dangerous sport. She made sure Kal kept his grades up and he did, he was a good student. After finishing schooling on Corsin, Kal decided to move offworld to attend the University of Coruscant. While he was hesitant to leave his homeworld and travel such a distance, both his parents encouraged it.

The move to the jewel of the Republic was a strange one to the young Kal, the hustle and bustle of Coruscant was a far different from the peacefulness of Corsin. He enjoyed his life there, he had to admit there was much more to do on the world than on Corsin. He had been studying when first word of the Mandalorians spread, after hearing of Corsin's raid he was striken by emotion. Both of his parents were killed, grief striken and wanting revenge, Kal enlisted in the Republic Army shortly after they began engaging the Mandalorians.

Training was difficult, unlike anything he'd ever done before. But he was driven to succeed. He'd already dropped out of school and made the decision to enlist. His parents would have supported his enlistment, they would have scolded him deeply if he quit. Kal fought through training, impressing his superiors particularly in firearms training. Shortly after completing his training, Kal was sent into battle. The Mandalorians were unlike any other force he'd seen. Avoiding death and taking out some enemies, Kal survived first combat.

He's impressed in the combat missions he's taken a part of, and has since joined IRSOG. Kal keeps telling himself he's prepared and it will go swimmingly, but he's nervous, though he'll never let that show.

Meditating in the Room of a Thousand Fountains

Personality:
Having lost his father at the age of five and his mother at nine (at that point having already joined the Jedi), Wohtan has suffered great emotional trauma throughout his life. On top of this, several of his friends on the Outer Rim -- befriended over the course of a decade and a half -- have suffered greatly and even died at the hands of the Mandalorian conquests, fueling his passion for vengeance. Wohtan usually keeps his emotions bottled up, and struggles in finding an inner peace (as is the Jedi way). Despite his heritage, he has never traveled to Ithor yet, and considers Coruscant more of an ancestral home than his own species' homeworld.

History:
Wohtan was born to an immigrant family of Ithorians in the Crimson Corridor, a poorer district on Coruscant just a few kilometers from the Jedi Temple. After his father was murdered in a botched mugging, a Jedi fromt he Temple came to investigate the crime. The Jedi, Master Bo-Wen Pree, while speaking with Wohtan's mother, discovered that the five year-old boy had an exceptionally strong connection with the Force. He was taken to the Temple for training, becoming a Jedi Initiate.

The young Ithorian proved adept at learning the ways of the Force as a young child, though he initially struggled with handling a lightsaber. Over time, his powers grew, though many of his abilities were still unrefined. He became known among other young Padawans for his telekinetic abilities, able to move objects of great weight and mass with relative ease. His lightsaber abilities improved and he has since become known as a relatively well-rounded Jedi in his abilities. Shortly before turning 21 years old, Wohtan was made a Jedi Knight by Master Pree. He has carried out several missions on behalf of the Jedi Council, including to the planets Naboo (which is not a member planet of the Republic), Thyferra, Kashyyyk, and several others. He has also frequently visited Dantooine and considers the Enclave there a home away from home.

Wohtan has a strong connection and relationship with Master Pree, who saved him from harrowing circumstances and came to love him as a friend and a student. Pree understands Wohtan better than almost anyone else, and has struggled to help Wohtan deal with his hidden emotions -- as anger and frustration can very easily lead to the Dark Side. He has also befriended Kyman ras Shevit, a fellow apprentice to Master Pree.

Just below six feet tall, Kyman stands slightly above average for his species. Despite this relatively normal height, for those unaccustomed to the sight of Kaleesh, Kyman could prove a striking sight, his traditional mask giving him the visage of something savage. As was custom on his homeworld, his mask, combined with his draping robes, leaves much of what he looks like to the imagination, his tusks being one of the few indicators of his physiology when in his garb. Despite this backwater connotation, he takes great strides to maintain his wrappings, robes, and mask, treating them with an almost sacred sort of care.

Behind the mask, Kyman is a reddish-brown hue, with scaly skin and sharp, pointed ears. From his upper jaw protrudes two, prominent fleshy tusks, while two smaller ones come from his lower jaw. His eyes, typically narrowed and questioning, gleam a dull yellow. A single, jet black braid is collected on the top of his head, tightly tied back.

- Form II/VI Specialist - Trained firstly in Form VI by his master, Kyman however grew fascinated by the styles of the Way of Contention, or Form II. The eloquence and duelist qualities of Form II earned his admiration, and so he took it upon himself to become a student of it, fusing it with his background in Form VI.
- Sun Djem - Kyman has honed his skill within Form II to focus on the art of Sun djem, the focus of disarming one's opponents by breaking their weapons or striking at their hands to force a removal of their grip.

Personality:

Reserved and studious, to those familiar with Kyman, he exemplifies the concept of a silent work-horse. The way in which he regards his duties is best described as reverent, for in his training he has shown a nearly religious sort of tone. This of course makes him a prime pupil, willing to do whatever asked of him by his teachers, however, likewise it puts him at odds with those who chafe at his zealotry and especially with those he disagrees with.

Underneath this, Kyman struggles with the duality between his heritage and the Jedi Order. While the teachings of the Jedi have given a conduit for the warrior lifestyle of the Kaleesh, the apparent passive response of the Council in response to the ravages of the Mandalorian Wars has redoubled this inner conflict and shown to Kyman that some within the Order are more concerned with peace than defending the innocent in the field of battle. While these concerns have thus far been kept under wraps, the rise of Revan has, in a sense, justified the feelings of Kyman, and he feels a quiet admiration for the efforts of the Revanchist movement.

History:

Born on the planet Kalee, homeworld of the Kaleesh, Kyman ras Shevit would be born into a warrior-society, a harsh place seeped in constant tribal squabbles. The concept of a warrior was enshrined within this place, and had Kyman remained here, there was no doubt that it would be his place to serve on the field for his people, a cog in the machine for some warlord.

But that was not the case, and instead by misfortune, Kyman and his kin were the subject of a slaver operation. Taken by force, Kyman would lose his close kin in the ensuing battle, and so it was that he and many of his tribesman were imprisoned within ships, destined for some unknown purpose. As a mere child, Kyman's fate was headed towards a lifetime of servitude, but again the Force had other plans for him.

By happenstance, the slavers would find themselves pursued by an unknown vessel, one that hailed and demanded the release of all those imprisoned. Met with refusal, this strange ship boarded the slavers and it was to be that their saviors would in fact be from the Jedi Order. Easily overpowering the slavers, Kyman and his kin would be free, given the option to return home when possible. But in Kyman, the Jedi would sense a sensitivity to the Force, and rather than return him to Kalee without family, the Jedi offered Kyman the opportunity to return to the Jedi Order and be raised as a proper Jedi. Kyman accepted, seeing it as a sign that it was his destiny to become a greater warrior than any of his tribe, to avenge the death of his kin, and ultimately to become a hero.

Such high-minded ambitions were tempered by the training of the Jedi Order, and while Kyman retained many of his Kaleesh customs, he has adopted the Jedi teachings to moderate the aggression inherent within Kaleesh society. Studying under the Jedi who saved him from a life of slavery, a Kel Dor named Bo-Wen Pree, Kyman grew close to his master, and Master Pree was the force he needed to adapt to the Jedi Code. Now, having risen to the rank of Knight, Kyman sees this crisis as one that will allow him to put to practice his teachings and to prove that he has what it takes to be a warrior-Jedi.

  Due to a recent six-year drought in his Jedi training, Par has cast his traditional (and largely ineffectual) Form I training aside in favor of an entirely improvisational style that utilizes quick, successive strikes that are frequently supplemented with punches, kicks, the use of his blaster, blows from the hilt of his lightsaber, and even force powers such as force push and pull (utilized in an offensive manner that inflicts blunt damage upon enemies). The unorthodox nature of his moveset can throw many opponents off guard, although his reckless and instinctive movements can be easily countered by more experienced foes that can analyze his style. While Par does indeed possess two lightsabers, he has never studied Jar'kai and prefers to use his master's green-bladed lightsaber in sudden surprise attacks to close out fights quickly, or as a back-up in case anything happens to his main saber; he is unable of wielding both at the same time effectively in protracted engagements.

Appearance: Standing at 2.1 meters, Huron is of a heavier build than most Duros, his skin is a greyish-blue hue, with the blood red eyes of his people bright in contract to his skin, one has to look closely to see that his left eye glows brighter than the right, the smooth skin of his bald skull is marred lightly with scar tissue, which flows from the back of his skull in an almost haphazard pattern to his left cheek, treasures of a battle that scarred him on more than a cosmetic sense. While bulkier than most Duros, he is by no means large, easily comparable to a human with higher than average fitness. Huron, when not wearing his combat armour, the standard red and yellow plates of armour over the black body-weave, he is often wearing standard issue overalls of the Fleet, with a back undershirt for when he wraps the arms of the overalls around his waist. The only item that is not standard issue of the Republic Army is the single medallion of questionable skill that sits around his neck.

Personality: Huron is a talkative character, charismatic and somewhat social in a sense, his demeanour has been prone to dramatic changes when someone walks on the thin ice of his world’s devastation at the hands of the Mandalorians. Once an optimist, after the devastation his outlook became one of a man expecting to die, and this is not a fear that holds him back. Where some call him reckless, and stubborn to a fault, he sees himself as something the Republic needs, someone willing to hold that line no matter what is brought against him. Numerous occasions have seen him staying as the last man of the Republic to make sure his fellow comrades were given the space to retreat, generating mixed feelings from Command and other troopers. When questioned, his answers are always short and to the point, not seeing the point in embellishing anything.

Huron can become a little sadistic when faced with the possibility of Mandalorian prisoners, and it has been noted that his unit has never taken a Mandalorian captive, despite evidence given that states they had taken survivors of an attack or a crash as prisoners. His sadistic side comes out more when given the chance for duelling a Mandalorian, reports of him allowing the Mandalorian a measure of hope before dashing it with strikes aimed for maximum pain.

History: Born to a middle-class family, Huron rarely aspired to earn more than he was used to, happy with his place in life, and happy to become a family man, he worked hard and earned his living as honestly as he could. His family meant everything, a tradition of his family drilled into his head from childhood that family is all that matters, and nothing should get between him spending time with them. Before the attack on Duros, Huron worked as a security guard at one of the Orbital Cities departure bays, the worst he had to deal with was disgruntled smugglers caught in the act, and with such a job he supported his family of four, including his wife.

When the Mandalorians attacked however, with their Basilisk War Droids tearing into the cities, Huron found himself assigned with a draft of militia to try and stem the rampaging Mandalorian forces, a task which was far easier to say than to enforce. For three hours Huron’s unit battled with a series of Mandalorians, from unsupported troops to War droid reinforced platoons, and as the fighting intensified, Huron’s militia was force ever deeper into their home Orbital. Many friends were lost, and more formed as the Duros fought to keep their homes, and livelihoods safe. It wasn’t to be however, Huron’s militia was broken and scattered more than not, the remnants joining up with other units to repeat the process as they retreated deeper and deeper. As the fighting reach the familiar sights of Huron’s residential area he fought all the harder, the untested Duros quickly becoming fierce fighters as it became apparent where the fighting was going, the commercial area was one thing, but the residential was an entirely different theatre.

It was when the order to evacuate the area completely came through the Huron was given permission to see his family to the evacuation shuttles, but he was to return the moment it was away. An order he was happy with, gathering his family and rushing them, with barely any belongings to the shuttle, he was waving goodbye to the shuttle as it departed, ready to turn back to the bitter fighting that had engulfed half the district now, when Mandalorian fighters swooped through, laying waste to anything in the air, and Huron watching in disbelief as the shuttle bearing his family turned slowly, smoke and fire bellowing from the great rents in the side and along the engine block, its ascension turned horrifyingly to descent. The shuttle disintergrated as it connected with the docking platform, killing those waiting on another shuttle and levelling buildings as it tore through supports and framework. Huron suffered severe injuries along his left side, aircars that were parked along the main route exploding peppered his left side with shrapnel and the force of the explosion claimed his entire left arm and blinded his eye.

He was still recovering from the treatments when the call for Duros volunteers to take the fight to the Mandalorians went up, despite the claims he wouldn’t heal in time to mean anything. Still learning to use his bionic replacement effectively, he signed up as soon as he could leave the hospital without suffering constant attacks from his doctors and nurses.
