This is the out of character section. I'm just trying to start a conversation. You can ignore it. You can change the topic. Dead OOC is not good for any roleplay. I have nothing to contribute right now to the OOC or the characters being made so I'm trying to talk with one of the others in the mean time. Don't be an ass about it.

Oi guys not sure if you're familiar with one piece's current state. But someone seriously just told me that roronoa zoro would LOSE to samurai jack....what....what the fuck? Jack's good....but he's not nearly on Zoro's scale. In case you don't know Zoro can level a mountain sized opponent.

I don't know much about Zoro, but I must ask: Has Zoro defeated multiple armies and slain a shape shifting master of darkness whom had the power to rip holes in the fabric of time and took over the world?

It's okay, I prefer an active talkative group even of there is nothing to talk about. Many groups I have been I just use the OOC to hang as well as discussing the story.

I am sorry, but with abilities like this it would appear that your character is prime for being a powerhouse hero with almost nothing able to stop him. As I have explained to another person before a lot would need cut in order for this character to be accepted. Thanks so much for your time and if you wish I can help to revise your character.

@Master Crim - He can with relative ease move things of around 100kg's without much of a problem, and when his shields are on he can stop continuous machine gun fire. He can set things on fire, and shoot concussive fireballs - which could burn and push back a big man, but would do nothing beyond annoy someone like Theran. Same levels of winds, minor lightning that is at best like a taser. He can manipulate about a hundred liters of water to do what he wants, and move rocks up to 200kg's - or make small localized earthquakes - a few meters in all directions from him. All of these elemental powers are based in concentration, and if broken he can't sustain them. Even then, he can't sustain them for more than five minutes, and then can only do this five times a day before he needs to rest. He can do much more - if he does it in much smaller doses. If he does them at around half of these limits, he can do two at the same time. Thus, fly and send a smaller fireball, lesser shields with limited telekinesis, etc etc. If he has a lot of time to prep he can increase the levels of these spells, but this is not realistic in a conflict based situation - Others -

Teleportation - further and faster with Umbrella
Telepathy - The closer the person is the easier it is - can break into a protected mind but it takes a longer time.
Flight - Relative ease, tires quickly when at speed
Location spells (only within city range)
Reading any language - No limit
Understanding any language - no Limit
Speaking any language - No limit

Any more questions please let me know.

Your character is accepted, but I will PM you tomorrow about a few things I have some questions about.

WIP
Name: Michael Blair
Title/Alias: Zorn The Magician
Picture/Description:

Powers/Abilities:
Weird Magic: Michael uses a kind of magic with weird properties and focuses mainly on illusions and conjurations, as well as some elemental spells. With his weird spells, Michael uses illusions to disorientate and confuse as well as frighten enemies. His illusions can range from small to very large. He can make his illusions be both seen and heard. His most powerful illusions can be made solid with incredible effort and it can cause him a lot of fatigue. His conjuration spells allow him to summon inanimate objects for utility purposes as well as weird weapons. His elemental powers allow him to shoot strangely colored balls of fire and bolts of weird shades of electricity. He is also able to disguise himself to blend in and deceive people by changing his looks through the use of magic. Finally he can create barriers of force for protection and is able to fly. The barriers can be broken if too much is applied against them.
Gear(optional): he uses a staff that helps him focus his magical powers.
Personality: Michael is a highly intelligent person, which is normal for magicians and his literacy is way above average. By age five he was ready Edgar Allen Poe and J.R.R. Tolkien. By age ten he had finished reading the English dictionary and all of Shakespeare's work. As a magician he has an incredible intuition and is incredible at finding knowledge. Seeking knowledge and solving problems are what he finds among the most interesting in life.

Being a student of the arcane teachings, Michael is more of a thinking and manipulator than a fighter. He prefers to deceive and disorientate his enemies rather than beat them down through sheer force. Magicians use the art of deception to keep others guessing and second guessing. That is why Michael is incredibly deceptive and good at fooling his foes. Even some of his allies have trouble seeing if he is telling the truth. He even has occasionally bragged about being able to fool even Wonder Woman's lasso of truth.

When it comes to heroism, Michael does what he feels is right and tries to use his magical powers to do some good, but that won't stop him from doing to occasional prank. Michael is a man with secrets and the secrets of his magical arts are what he considers most important to him and thus he refuses to talk about them. He is a believer that one's own prideful words about their abilities can lead to their downfall.
Bio:

Let me know when you are finished, looking good.

Name: Combat Android 3645

Alias: George

Picture: 1u88jj3r4db2x4txp44yqfj1.wpengine.netd..

Powers:
Superhuman Strength
Capable of tracking multiple enemy movements
When dual wielding weapons can shoot at two different enemies at once
Remote hacking
Trojan vision (see through smoke)
Night vision

Gear:
Electro Knife
Type-2 Assault Rifle (capable of splitting into dual auto-pistols)
Erad Submachine Gun with Master Key under barrel Shotgun
Dual Oni fully-automatic handgun
Dome Shield

Personality: All George ever wanted to be was a warrior like his father but he was a frail kid that easily broke, which led to depression. He dived deep into computers as a way to “earn” his keep in the resistance. He may not have been able to fight but he was able to help those who did which gave him a sense of purpose. He created a hack that allowed him to remotely pilot the combat androids and fight alongside his father. Like all humans they were hunted down and captured or killed. He was not a warrior so he was not spared the torture of having his brain ripped out of his skull and shoved into a combat android. That memory haunts him to this day and causes severe feedback into his combat android body that disables him for several minutes. When humans persecuted and attacked him he felt betrayed, he had given them a new weapon one that was capable of going where they couldn’t. Their attempts to destroy him didn’t turn him against humanity but made him seek isolation and comfort in his robotic nature. He rarely shows emotion anymore.

Bio: In 2359 the Earth was invaded by an alien, whose sole intent was to harvest all the valuable natural resources, including human brains. Human brains were used as computers in the various technologies but most especially in combat androids. There was a revolution but it had zero chance of success. One day George a hacker was taken alive and managed to prevent having his memories erased through a well-timed virus release. There was no stopping his brain being harvested and installed in a combat android. He and all the ones after him managed to take down that factory but there were others. George and the other sentient combat androids were not openly embraced they were feared and sometimes attacked. They struck out on their own fought for themselves against the aliens and the humans. George and the other sentient combat androids discovered a secret human military base built before the invasion. They made it their home for a while during their investigation of the base they discovered experimental technology that they adapted for their own use. One piece of technology took up entire room with its central piece a giant sphere. After three years of decrypting the central computer they discovered that the technology was an experimental and unfinished time machine. It took another decade to finish it. They couldn’t control where the sphere sent through time and it was a one way trip. George agreed to go by himself.

Looking over, it will be a little bit.

Alright what are the limits that my character is and is unable to do. I'm willing to limit his abilities but only so far. He's already unable to do many physical tasks as he has not spent any time training his own body. If his magic's gutted completely I may as well pass on this roleplay. I already know not to power play with this character. As he stands now the key to his downfalls is the lack of possibilities. Give him nothing to work with and he has to rely on what he has on himself. His reality warping is his strongest defensive capabilities which is handy against mooks who need their guns but is useless against physically powerful heroes who use their brawn.

===

As for Zoro he has taken insane amounts of damage and lived more so than Jack. He has beaten armies of marines, and he has fought people whom probably would trounce Jack. I don't watch or read one piece so I can't give you an accurate list. I just know he's super human.

You never specified that his powers were limited, not that he was inexperienced with his powers. I could then only assume that he could use "Toon Force" fairly proficiently. If you can wait for a bit I work the early shift tomorrow, and am quite wiped-out today. I after work tomorrow I can devote some time to looking into the characters in my previous post as-well-as help you out limits on your character.

Very well I can wait. He is very proficient with his powers. But he can't do things that break reality itself. For example: If you put him in a room with his hat he'll pull out a skeleton key to get out maybe even pull one out of his sleeves. It may not have been there before but he can make it happen with his abilities. The best way to keep him locked up for example is to put him in a giant white box with no cracks, and or doors without his suit, and hat. He can't magic anything, he can't pull something out from anywhere because there's nothing there, and there's no dark spot he can make it so that it's a hole in the wall. To make Greg fall you have to surprise him, or force him into a situation where he can't reality warp, or use his innate magic powers to get out of it. He goes down to a well timed slug to the back of the head like any other normal human.

@vancexentan Say you were to give him a hallucinogenic? Due to the already warped perception would it be harder for him to deduce what he has conjured with what he is hallucinating?

@vancexentan - @Master Crim Could he use his mouth to pull something out - since it technically could be considered a hole?

It would work but not in the way you think. The harder it is for him to understand what's going on that harder it is to channel his thoughts properly. Which in turn makes his powers harder to control. Of course if given some time, and depending on just how much of the drug is running around in his noggin, he'd probably be able to conjure up something. Most of the time he's probably going to conjure something underneath a cement block causing it to shoot up, or pull a hammer out of his pants or hat. He doesn't particular find explosives pleasing so usually he only messes with the battleground itself, or the weapons that are in play. Maybe conjure a cartoonish bugs to break a chain that's holding up a chandler.

But the short of it is yes it would hurt his ability to properly use his powers.

As for his mouth while he has escape artistry in there he usually can't conjure something out of his own body usually other objects.

@vancexentan So it would appear that the draw of his power is concentration, like almost all magic, but Greg is not as proficient as he could be. The limit/extent of his power has to d with his grip on reality itself, and being able to concentrate on what it is he wants to change within the normal scope of reality. If someone like, say, Simon or Miss Martian were to begin playing mind games with him, blurring the lines between what is real and what is not, it would be significantly harder for him to use his powers.

Correct?

@Master CrimNo if he has full control of his own mind then trying to tamper with it would simply end in him attempting to override said control by 'substituting it with his own reality'. If someone tried to convince him he couldn't walk on water then he'd turn the water to ice. When he's fully aware of someone is messing with him, since he knows a lot of tricks in the book and he himself knows what's 'normal' and what's not he can fight people who try to mess with him. His weakness lies not in the strength of his power but the which he is allowed to alter the area around him. He can effect the environment and change it to his whim.

I'll try and give an example:

An enemy magician has tried to make him climb down from the ledge thinking she has fooled him into thinking the floor is made up of lava. He looked down and chuckles. He just makes his feet cool enough that the lava hardens beneath it. Or he makes a glass floor protecting him from the danger. Likewise someone trying to read his mind would just find a miss match of bizarre memories and mismatched crap from old cartoons because his mind, as a result of his powers, has become really hard to decipher. It's not so much that he's actively blocking it as his mind is just so full of unquestionably nonsensical things that it's really really hard to alter or change. Reality warping is an extremely dangerous power and very potent at that. However he is no mad jim jaspers. He can't make his own dimensions nor can he destroy them. He can change things in the physical world, or otherwise into whatever nonsense he wants. He can turn a cane into a snake. But he can't make independently thinking life, nor can he make dimensions so much as he can pull whatever he wants out of his hat. However if you shoot him full of some sort of drug that either hinders his ability to think, or focus then that puts him at a big disadvantage. Because he can't focus properly enough to use his powers. Likewise if you surprise him and not the otherway around and someone manage to corner him that way or get him before he notices he can't exactly fight back he doesn't can't see 360 degrees around him. His perceptiveness is that of a normal person.

Hey, if you guys are still looking for people then I'm up for Joining in on the fun if you'll have me!

Also @Master Crim, in regards to Samurai Jack vs the Zoro guy, technically Jack never beat Aku (he ALMOST beat him a lot. Lotta bull-shrnarky from Aku if you ask me) but since I don't know nothing about Zoro I'd have to put my vote with Jack too since he's taken on a lot of odds that seemed way to much for him.

Samurai Jack fought demons. Roronoa Zoro fought human freaks.

There is no comparison. Demon fighters will always be superior than human freak fighters.

Actually, now that I think about it, if this Zorro guy is a good guy then Jack cant do anything to him since his sword can't cut people with good hearts or something like that. It can only hurt evil people so maybe the Zorro guy would win.
