Name: Michael Blair
Title/Alias: Zorn The Magician
Picture/Description:

Powers/Abilities:
Weird Magic: Michael uses a kind of magic with weird properties and focuses mainly on illusions and conjurations, as well as some elemental spells. With his weird spells, Michael uses illusions to disorientate and confuse as well as frighten enemies. His illusions can range from small to very large. He can make his illusions be both seen and heard. His most powerful illusions can be made solid with incredible effort and it can cause him a lot of fatigue. His conjuration spells allow him to summon inanimate objects for utility purposes as well as weird weapons. His elemental powers allow him to shoot strangely colored balls of fire and bolts of weird shades of electricity. He is also able to disguise himself to blend in and deceive people by changing his looks through the use of magic. Finally he can create barriers of force for protection and is able to fly. The barriers can be broken if too much is applied against them.
Gear(optional): he uses a staff that helps him focus his magical powers.

Personality: Michael is a highly intelligent person, which is normal for magicians and his literacy is way above average. By age five he was reading Edgar Allen Poe and J.R.R. Tolkien. By age ten he had finished reading the English dictionary and all of Shakespeare's work. As a magician he has an incredible intuition and is incredible at finding knowledge. Seeking knowledge and solving problems are what he finds among the most interesting in life.

Being a student of the arcane teachings, Michael is more of a thinking and manipulator than a fighter. He prefers to deceive and disorientate his enemies rather than beat them down through sheer force. Magicians use the art of deception to keep others guessing and second guessing. That is why Michael is incredibly deceptive and good at fooling his foes. Even some of his allies have trouble seeing if he is telling the truth. He even has occasionally bragged about being able to fool even Wonder Woman's lasso of truth.

When it comes to heroism, Michael does what he feels is right and tries to use his magical powers to do some good, but that won't stop him from doing to occasional prank. Michael is a man with secrets and the secrets of his magical arts are what he considers most important to him and thus he refuses to talk about them. He is a believer that one's own prideful words about their abilities can lead to their downfall.

Politically Michael is a centrist who leans to the right. He considers himself a democratic capitalist and believes that the government shouldn't tax the working middle class for socialist agendas. He is a massive anti communist and believes in freedom of speech. Despite not being a religious man, Michael is a firm believer in respecting people's beliefs, but that won't stop him from telling a person that their religion is sick if he feels that it is. Michael is an individualist and hates the concept of collectivism, he believes that real freedom comes from the individual and not the collective.

Bio: Magic has run in his family for generations and for Michael his destiny was no different. Michael was born in Gotham City to a middle class family and had a fairly good childhood considering the bad reputation of the city he lived in. With his incredibly high literacy rate, Michael Blair was able to read an insane amount of books at a young age and his family brought him into the world of the arcane when he turned twelve years. They shared with him their family's secrets of magic and he started to learn the art of Weird Magic. His focus was on Illusions and Conjurations with a bit of elemental magic put in.

His family was surprised at the speed of which he was able to learn and Michael's power grew greatly over his teen years. In this time frame he took the magician name Zorn and met other magic users like him such as the British Con-artist John Constantine and the amazingly powerful Tim Hunter. They introduced him to the more sinister side of the magical arts by battling demons and mad sorcerers to keep the world safe.

Being a magician, Michael had to juggle his secret life of battling supernatural and mundane threats with his normal life as an entertainer and showman. It was hard, but as a self employed entrepreneur, he found it easy to make his schedule. The only thing had problems with was the high taxes of the darn government put on the working middle class for their political agendas.

Being a one man show, Michael never really thought about joining a team before, but when the disappearance of the Justice League happened and more mysterious disappearances happened after that, he decided that it would be better for business to help bring down the crime and try to find out what happened to the other heroes so that he wasn't stuck with doing more heroics. He is Zorn The Magician and with his magic he will bring wonder and terror to the battlefield.

He dived deep into computers as a way to “earn” his keep in the resistance. He may not have been able to fight but he was able to help those who did which gave him a sense of purpose. He created a hack that allowed him to remotely pilot the combat androids and fight alongside his father. Like all humans they were hunted down and captured or killed. He was not a warrior so he was not spared the torture of having his brain ripped out of his skull and shoved into a combat android. That memory haunts him to this day and causes severe feedback into his combat android body that disables him for several minutes. When humans persecuted and attacked him he felt betrayed, he had given them a new weapon one that was capable of going where they couldn’t. Their attempts to destroy him didn’t turn him against humanity but made him seek isolation and comfort in his robotic nature. He rarely shows emotion anymore.

Bio: In 2359 the Earth was invaded by an alien, whose sole intent was to harvest all the valuable natural resources, including human brains. Human brains were used as computers in the various technologies but most especially in combat androids. There was a revolution but it had zero chance of success. One day George a hacker was taken alive and managed to prevent having his memories erased through a well-timed virus release. There was no stopping his brain being harvested and installed in a combat android. He and all the ones after him managed to take down that factory but there were others. George and the other sentient combat androids were not openly embraced they were feared and sometimes attacked. They struck out on their own fought for themselves against the aliens and the humans. George and the other sentient combat androids discovered a secret human military base built before the invasion. They made it their home for a while during their investigation of the base they discovered experimental technology that they adapted for their own use. One piece of technology took up entire room with its central piece a giant sphere. After three years of decrypting the central computer they discovered that the technology was an experimental and unfinished time machine. It took another decade to finish it. They couldn’t control where the sphere sent through time and it was a one way trip. George agreed to go by himself.

Name: Jonathan Hamilton-Wayne

Alias/Nickname: Prowler

“I was given a chance, I won’t squander it on dying just yet.”

Photo/Appearance:

Powers/Abilities: Superhuman Strength/Agility/Intelligence/Reflexes

Gear: MK V Tactical Combat Stealth Suit [[Can be modified for various forms of infiltration, amphibious included.]]

Chameleon ghillie suit

40. Cal revolver

50.Cal Sniper Rifle

7.62mm AAC Honey Badger (Custom)

High Powered Anti-Tank Rifle/Cannon.

The Big Guns: Along with the Anti-Tank weapon, there are a plethora of other heavy artillery weapons in his arsenal that have highly destructive power. However, once it gets to the Big Guns, there is required approval from the League, for they can be of risk to civilian personnel, or just about anyone or anything in the target area.

Twin knives: Prowler has two knives, one that is a custom made trench knife, and the other is a knife meant for quick and deep cuts against a target.

Personality: Prowler is cold, efficient, driven, but on the same note, loyal, protective and loving. Sadly the former traits end up making him hard to initially get along with, and hence he prefers working alone. Tends to struggle in a team environment.

Bio: Jonathan Hamilton-Wayne wasn’t brought into this world the traditional way. He wasn’t born to a normal family, to live a normal life. He was created, bred in a test tube by a Dr. Samuel Hamilton of Caduceus Corporations, a geneticist who saw a chance for him and his infertile wife to have a son. Not just any child, a child that could change the future, a new generation of hero, seeing as the two of them had a dormant MetaGene. The effects of two modified MetaGenes were astounding to say the least, but also very eye-catching to a company like Caduceus. The good Doctor had been doing this project privately, outside the building where his employers had first put him. In an old warehouse that had been repurposed to house one incubation chamber, the birthplace of Caduceus new bio-weapon after the failure and freedom of SuperBoy. Caduceus needed a new method of killing the Justice League, and without even trying, Dr. Samuel had given Caduceus a frightening new weapon.

They had been watching the Doctor and his program, his creation, his only son. Now the corporation had decided to make their move, while the good Doctor was checking up on the growth of his test tube son. They made their move, and killed Dr. Hamilton. It was then they brought him back and set the new Project in his chamber.

Project: Prowler

The ultimate weapon, made solely for killing, they took the remaining kryptonian DNA from the Superboy experiment, and ramped it up a few notches. Adding enhanced intellect and neural pathways along with the standard super strength and agility. However, instead of simply educating the new weapon, they programmed his mind to be cold, calculating, and focus solely on mission success. With this homemade weapon in house, they prepared to release him upon the Justice League, but something happened:

One of the sessions went wrong with the training of Prowler’s mind, one of the Genomorphs wasn’t on the side of the corporation. One was from Genomorph City, and was told to help Prowler be free, considering he technically was one of their kind. The day they let him out for a test run, he took the “Run” part literally, and ran off from corporate staff, disappearing into the labyrinth that was the new Caduceus facility. Eventually, the Genomorph that had freed him guided him to the surface, and allowed him to be free for a short while.

Though it wasn’t long until he began seeking out answers as to who he really was, and it lead him to a pair of gravestones, the Hamilton family was all but wiped out, Jonathan being the very last one. During that time of simply gazing at people he should be able to remember the faces of, a hand touched his shoulder, and the rain stopped falling on his body. Bruce Wayne had found a lost soul to bring home, somehow the Batman himself had found information on the new project and its origins. Then he waited in the small town where Prowler had found himself after searching for answers...And offered him a chance, a chance to honor the original plan his father had for him, to be a hero. To protect the innocent and the helpless, Jonathan all but dove on this chance, and Bruce took him home to begin training him.

However, it soon became clear that unlike Superboy, Prowler was programmed with a plethora of martial arts skills, and firearms training, the result of what his prior mission was before being freed. Now the main goal was to hone what was there into what the world needed. However, the programming still had an adverse effect on Jonathan and his ability to socialize, the rest of the people he was supposed to become family with...It didn’t go well, he didn’t trust easy, and some didn’t fully trust the living bio-weapon in the room with them.

Though after a few months, everyone began to warm up to each other, Jonathan finally stopped feeling like a weapon people wanted to use...And the Wayne family accepted the new addition, to the extent of providing him with a suit meant for stealth, and a chameleon suit that resembles the 3d suits worn by snipers on deep recon missions. He was initially told non-lethal was the only way that the family went...But it wasn’t long before Prowler had a few kills to his name against many crime syndicates. Batman of course grew extremely mad at the behavior of this prodigy, saying he should be more careful with his abilities. Prowler however, chose to ignore that, and go down a path similar to that of the Red Hood, however, he avoided spilling blood wherever possible. He only used firearms against foes such as Luthor, Darkseid and his forces, or other foreign threats attacking Earth.

After a time, Prowler’s original kills faded from memory, and soon he sat on par with his family again. Now though, with the disappearance of the Watchtower, and the spike in crime, will Prowler have to become the still hand of death that they tried to quell before? Or will he still hold true to the honor the Wayne family instilled in him?

Name: Major Ashton Beaufort

Title/Alias: Gotham's Soldier (she will never refer to herself as this, but it's what the news has started calling her.)

Picture/Description: Ashton stands at 5'10" (and that's not even with her combat boots on) and is muscular from her years in the service. Her skin is tanned and she does have sunglasses tan lines but chances are nobody will ever know since she very rarely takes them off. Her eyes are light brown - but again, sunglasses so it's not a well known fact. Her dirty blond hair lives in a permanent stage of Military Donut Bun.

Powers/Abilities: Military training as well as basic martial arts training. Best with a gun or knife but has taught herself how to fight hand to hand.

Gear(optional): Almost all her gear is standard military type. For weapons she has, an M11 handgun, a Ka-Bar combat knife, a M4 carbine, and various grenades (including frag, smoke, and stun). She wears modified combat gear; it's been dyed black to blend in better and she has added more bullet-proof ceramic plating into it. She also wears sunglasses and a helmet - also painted black like her uniform. She also has binoculars, night-vision goggles, a mag light, flares, and a basic first-aid kit.

Personality: The typical soldier; she is stoic and strong, obedient when she has respect for her leaders, but doesn't take shit. She is fiercely protective of the innocent people of Gotham and will put her life on the line for them. While she may come off as cold, when she does relax and let the soldier-mode slip, she is kind albeit a tad snarky.

Bio: Ashton grew up in Gotham with a single mother. She never knew her father, but honestly, it was never really a big deal for her. It was pretty ordinary. Growing up in Gotham made her tough, but it never made her mean. She was the kid that would beat a bully black and blue then walk the bullied kid home to make sure they were safe. It was no surprise that she ended up idolizing Batman - and later Batwoman as well. It was even less of a surprise that she signed up for the Marines when she was old enough.

After ten years in the Marines, Ashton became a Major and was working on becoming a Lieutenant Colonel when the Justice League went missing. Ashton retired from the Marines and made her way home to Gotham, only to find it much worse than it ever had been. Crime was even more rampant than it had ever been now that Batman was gone.

It started out as just helping here and there; disarming a robber who happened to be in the same convenience store as her, stopping assaults on civilians, etc. But as crime got worse, Ashton started dedicating herself more and more to stopping it. While she doesn't really consider herself a superhero by any means - after all, she's just a retired soldier - fighting crime has become her day job and she has started to become a known figure in Gotham.
