Atop the building, there stood a figure.

It was the tallest building in this area. At least, currently. The town was mostly fairly small, and from here what could be seen was its small schools, a few of the other districts, some of the residential area... truthfully, it could not yet be called a city.

At least, right now.

The figure was a girl.

Looking upwards, towards the sky, she raised one hand. With a confident smile, placing her hand directly in front of her view of the sun, she clutched it like a fist.

It was time.

"Kino, Kino!"

"Mmn... huh...?"

The ground beneath her was no longer a soft bed at remarkably cheap pricing. Beside her lay her jacket, her coat, her equipment, and, of course, the Cannon and the Woodsman, both in their holsters... But this was not the room she had purchased. This was not, in fact, a room at all. Rubbing one eye, the dark-haired girl slowly sat up. She was quick, snatching her jacket and coat up, putting them on swiftly as she grasped both of her guns, the Woodsman going behind her as the Cannon was quickly placed on her hip. Her surroundings had dramatically changed, and this did not feel like any kind of dream to her. Her eyes quickly snapped around to take in her surroundings. It was some kind of... schoolgrounds? This was nothing like the country she had gone to sleep in...

"Kino, do you think this could be some kind of custom that the country has?" asked Hermes. The motorrad sat nearby, his voice sounding more curious than frightened.

"I don't think any country could have a custom like this, Hermes," she replied, her hand hovering near her hip for a moment as she looked around. Surely, if someone had tried to move her while she slept, she would have noticed... and as she took in her surroundings, Kino began to realize that she was not alone in this plac, though she did not see anyone immediately. She stood in silence for a moment, unsure of what to do. Even as a traveler, this was not something she was prepared for. What could take a person so quickly to someplace else, without their awareness, along with everything they owned?

Placing her hands on Hermes's handlebars, she walked the motorrad about the area. It did not appear that, at the moment, there was anyone in this area of the schoolgrounds. Was school out at the moment, perhaps? It was the most likely explanation, but something here felt strange.

"Oh... there's no-one around," commented Hermes.

"I don't think that's true," replied Kino, "Even if we can't see them at the moment. I have a feeling that it won't be long before we meet someone."

"What makes you say that?"

"A hunch."

There was one pressing question on her mind, above all else.

Where was she?

Eh, there wasn't any real reason not to show off in this entrance. Sure, it wasn't anything serious at the moment, but those two weren't expecting it. Placing her pocky in her mouth, the redheaded magical girl lept down... and suddenly the ground appeared below her far, far faster and greener than it should have. Hitting at an awkward angle, the girl lost her balance. She attempted to drive the point of her spear into the ground in a bid to catch herself, but it was too little, too late.

Kyouko hit the ground face-first. It didn't hurt, it's not like that kind of thing was a problem for her. But it did snap her pocky in two and cause her to lose it entirely. Quickly, the redheaded girl pushed herself off the ground, leaping to her feet and swinging her spear up and at the ready, anger playing clearly on her face. "Okay, who the he-..."

She trailed off when her eyes fell upon the world around her. This... was certainly not the alleyway she had been descending into. It wasn't even in Mitakihara. She didn't know what it was. It definitely wasn't anything she was familiar with, but what the hell could explain this?!

She was in the middle of a street. There were cars all around her, but none of them moving. No, it seemed they were all parked. This was hardly the location she'd expected to be in. For that matter, she didn't see anyone. Not Mami or Homura, not anyone on the street... it seemed pretty empty.

And yet Kyouko had this strange feeling that she wasn't alone.

"Hehehe..."

Tch. It was always the same, wasn't it? These kinds of people never seemed to learn their lesson. They saw someone who looked defenseless head through an allyway by themselves, and thought it was a good time to try and spring a trap and take their valuables or whatever... There was no way around it, these guys were pretty stupid. It was bad enough that they even though to do this to someone in the first place, to attack somebody like this... Folding her arms, Mikoto leaned against the wall as the group of men encircled her. They were all older, at least high-school aged, and looking like they thought a rich girl from Tokiwadai would be an easy target to get some money off of or something like that.

Well, it didn't matter. It didn't matter what they were thinking. Mikoto had somewhere to be, and these guys were some idiots who thought they'd make a quick buck off of a seemingly-defenseless schoolgirl.

"Now, hand over the-"

From outside the allyway, bystanders would perhaps hear a crackling sound, and then silence.

Around Mikoto, the men fell to the ground, smoking from a electric shock that had been administered. It was powerful, naturally, but they'd be fine. The shock was enough to knock them out, not to kill them.

It seemed like something like this happened every once in a while.

Mikoto turned on her heel, heading out of the alleyway, before pausing. This was not Academy City. This didn't even look like Academy city. It was a much smaller town, though not totally rural. Turning to face the alleyway once more, she found it totally empty of the thugs she had just defeated. It didn't even appear to be the same place.

It was hard for the Electric Princess of Tokiwadai to understand what had just happened, but... all the same, she'd have t o get to the bottom of it!

Shurelia

Music.

It flowed all around her, on the wind, in the tremors of the Earth, in the sun shining overhead. No, that was not correct. It was not purely music, but rather it was sound. Sound from an infinite source, one that could make even the most tone deaf Reyvatiel sound like a chorus.

Shurelia was music, and music was Shurelia.

She was a Reyvatiel, one of the Origin, the first of her kind. Not the greatest, perhaps, but she liked to think that she had served to the best of her abilities during her time as Administrator of Ar Tonelico. There had been successes, and there had been plenty of mistakes. Perhaps this, sacrificing the Tower, sacrificing herself, all to stop Mir, perhaps that would make up for the worst of her errors. If it took her own life to let the world know peace, then she would freely give it.

as her song went on, she felt herself begin to fade. The systems of the tower began to deactivate, and it felt like the same was happening to her. Yet her voice rang strong and true, to complete this task and end this war once and for all. Her mind drifted, thinking to those she was leaving. Lyner, Leard, Misha, even Ayatane. This was their world now, and all she could do was apologize for the situation that she had left them in. They would have to do their best.

The song ended, and she was left with an aching emptiness before her own neural processes stopped as well. Her body collapsed as darkness consumed her, pulled into Suspension along with Ar Tonelico itself.

At least, that was how it should have worked.

The first thing she felt upon waking up, besides the concrete, was anger. She knew what waking up meant, and she thought she had been clear on her instructions. This was the only way to stop Mir, and if they had brought her back anyway then they were more foolish than she remembered. That trick would not work a second time. So as she sat up, she was prepared to give Lyner, or Leard, or whoever was responsible a piece of her mind.

"Huh?" Anger was replaced by confusion as she looked around. This was...this was not Platina, or any part of Ar Tonelico that she knew. It didn't feel like the Cosmosphere either. Had she fallen into the Sea of Death?Was this some kind of trick by Mir, an effort to subvert what she had done to seal her off from the rest of the world? It was possible, though it didn't explain why she had awoken to find herself in this strange town. It would not be out of place down on the surface, but even then she could not recognize the style.

Rising to her feet, her face took on a serious expression as she activated her Linkage Armor. It flashed into place, engulfing her in a warm protectiveness that was quite familiar after so long using it. Her minds eye turned to the Tower, to try and figure out what exactly was going on here. "What are you up to?"

Then the readings came back, leaving her to wonder yet again. She couldn't detect the Tower at all. If she was awake then it should be active, yet it wasn't even in suspension. It was like the Tower wasn't there at all. That left her with a few options. It could still be a trick by Mir, or she was merely out of range of the Tower. At the very worst the Tower itself was gone, but if she was here then that didn't seem likely.

"Very well, I will just have to do some more observation," the Reyvatiel decided at last. She was next to some kind of store, though the selection was small compared to Platina. There was only one way to figure out what was going on. If this was a trick by Mir, she would know soon enough. With that resolved she set off, heading down the street to see if there was anyone around in this town.

Silence followed for a few minutes before the android woke up, groaning as he rubbed his head... Wait. His head was still attached to his body? He thought he was dreaming at first, but only after he felt his head and neck and the ground below him did he realize...

"I-I'm alive?" he speaks to himself. He then gets up, jumps and throws his arms into the air in glee. "I'M ALIVE, BABY!"

He then touches the ground below him as he takes a look around him. Yet instead of being in the City Of Aku, he found himself in some unknown city, one that looked rather alien and unknown to him. He makes a confused look as he scratches his head.

"H-Huh? W-Where am I?" he speaks again in utter confusion, "What is this beep-ba-la-boop-bap-ala place?"

He continues to look around as he starts walking down the street in search of answers.

"Oh well, the android shrugs to himself, "Looks like I'll have to figure out where I am and to find a way to Scara-scooch my way back to Aku, babe."

Black. Liquid Adamantium obfuscated his vision--one moment he was alive, present. The next, gone. Wolverine was dead. But then. . . it happened, a sudden burst of energy! A cascade of rage and fury he had never felt before!

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHRH!" Logan launched himself from beneath the cover of the unhardened tomb, claws shone against steaming yellow sun and sprouted a near-golden hue. It kept dripping off of him with every second until it pooled into its own small pit at the seams of his boots. But this wasn't New York. There were no taxis, no rude passerbys. . . where the hell was he? Still on a rooftop, that was for sure.

"What the @%&$?" he growled, his very being refreshed by the profanity. Whatever this place was, he had to find himself a new set of clothes and a cigar. He wasn't sure if all his faculties were there, yet--so he took the stairs. Logan was crass, some call him a killing machine--but he wasn't stupid. And he didn't quite enjoy rattling the metal skeleton in his body, it always hurt. After some time descending several flights, he was on the streets. Different streets than he knew, but the streets nonthesame. They'd have to do for now, 'cause he didn't know how he got here and he sure didn't know how he was getting back. This was home now. He did wonder how Jean was doing. If there's one thing he did regret now that he was here, it's leaving her in the hands of beam boy.

He barged his way into what appeared to be a clothes shop--he, of course, had no shirt on and his jeans had become jorts.

"Welcome, sir." a young freckle faced girl said.

"Fuck off, sweetheart." James hurled back. The girl was terrified.

He stole a shirt with a red heart on it and a pair of black pants; then he changed right in the store.

"Um, you can't do that in here, sir!"

James shot an impatient sneer. She spoke no more.

Of course, he wasn't one to expose himself to a young girl--that's indecent rape and at least one statutory rape claim no matter what dimension he was in. So, he turned away from her and proceeded to fully change. Then he left.

"But si--" the door slammed before she could finish.

Then Logan went on the hunt for the seediest bar he could find. He barged in, asked for a drink. No, twelve drinks. He couldn't get drunk, it wasn't like it mattered how many he ordered. He wasn't going to pay anyway.

Pokémon Trainer Hilda

Ah, Castelia City! The City of Grandeur! No matter where you went in Unova you'd never find a place like it. Even though it was early in the morning, the bustling metropolis was already teaming with activity, as both people and Pokémon swarmed between the skyscrapers like ants around a hive. And one of these people was none other than the current Unova League Champion; Hilda of Nuvema Town, sixteen years old, currently lost amidst the crowds.

"Aw darn it..." she mumbled, as she fumbled about with a map. Even though she'd been to Castelia numerous times before, the layout always confused her. "I'm never gonna get my Casteliacone, am I?"

Maybe it was this way... Or maybe that way... Or possibly this way? There were so many streets and alleys in the city... Although the one she'd ended up in didn't look familiar at all. Nope, not familiar at all. Wherever she was now, it definitely wasn't Castelia anymore.

"...Must've took a wrong turn." Turning around, she realized that yes, she definitely wasn't in Castelia anymore. Or, indeed, anywhere she'd seen in Unova before, and she'd seen pretty much all of Unova during her travels. Nope, this was... She wasn't sure where she was other than some random street in an unknown town. How'd she even end up here, anyways? At the very least, it didn't take long for her to run into someone who looked just as lost as she was, some redheaded Kanto-looking girl (and judging by her shorts and ponytail, one with impeccable fashion sense).

"'Sup!" she said, giving the redhead a friendly wave. "I take it you ain't got a clue where you are either, right? I mean unless Castelia City's gone under some major redevelopment when I wasn't looking..."

Smiling, the Pokémon Trainer extended a hand towards the redhead.

"Name's Hilda, by the way. Pleased to meetcha!"

Sakura Kyouko

Kyouko paused, hearing a voice behind her. Resting her spear on one shoulder, the redheaded girl turned on her heel. At the moment, her magical girl transformation wasn't fully active, leaving her clad in her usual favorite: Short shorts, a black shirt, and a green sweatjacket. It was easy to move in and comfortable, so it's what she preferred for the type of outfits that she wore casually. The girl she now laid her eyes upon had dark hair, and spoke... Kansai accent? It sounded like Kansai, but somehow it didn't seem like her mouth was actually making those sounds. Ah, whatever.

"Hilda, huh?" she asked. The girl seemed familiar in some kind of strange way, but it wasn't anything she could put her finger on. While there wasn't any particular reason to trust the other girl, at the same time she was the first person Kyouko had met since arriving here. So it's not as if she had any other options at the moment. This was the only person who she could talk to, who seemed to be in the same boat as she was.

Kyouko drew a pocky stick from a box in one of her sweatjacket's pockets, inserting it into her mouth to replace the one she'd lost before burying her free hand back in them. She didn't shake hands that easily.

"Sakura Kyouko," she introduced herself, plainly, "I don't got any clue where I am, either. I dunno what the hell happened."

No effort was made to hide her spear. Why bother?

Where random criminals were being electrocuted in alleyways, there were always two constants. The first was that some imbecilic thugs had failed to recognise the most publicised of all the Espers in Academy City. Quite how they managed to repeat this mistake time after time, nor ever realise that anyone wearing a Tokiwadai uniform was at least a Level 3 and probably capable of handling themselves, was one of life's eternal mysteries. Stupidity was a possible explanation, though even an idiot would recognise Misaka Mikoto easily enough. Maybe they were just cocky.

The second constant was that these broad daylight assaults got the same Judgement agent responding, time after time. It was unfortunate that the fastest responder in the district would consistently arrive after the matter was over and done with, as nobody with that sort of ability should be able to arrive late to the fight. Simply finding out about the conflict and working out where it was, even with a technological savant, took time. Today was no different, with the agent dropping in the same as ever, not realising at all that the scenery had significantly changed from its norm.

"Onee-sama, how many times have I told you to leave these criminals to Judgement?"

Reinhardt Wilhelm and Ana Amari

To say that neither the Middle East nor Scandinavia quite matched the city that the two old veterans found themselves in was quite an understatement. Both had wandered through the strange environment with various degrees of subtlety--Reinhardt occasionally calling out and making no attempt to disguise his presence, whilst Ana stuck to the shadows and kept looking for the optimal route to not be seen. That their paths would cross so soon after walking over was unexpected, though perhaps inevitable; in the grand scheme of things, they came from almost exactly the same place.

Reinhardt, of course, had no idea that a familiar sniper was hanging around. He'd always been one for getting up close and personal, leading a charge and dealing with the consequences as they might arise. Spotting someone skilled in hiding, particularly when she stuck to his blind side, was something that the old man was never going to notice.

The other was left weighing up whether she should reveal her survival to Reinhardt... dependable, moral but emotional Reinhardt. Of the veterans of Overwatch, only her daughter would have taken her 'death' so harshly and these weren't controlled circumstances to reveal herself in. The circumstances, in the end, forced Ana's hand; this city wasn't somewhere she could have gotten just from scouting away from Jack and Reinhardt seemed as lost as she did.

Unlike her last reunion, Ana could say that it went well. It wasn't a horrifying reveal in a firefight--though she made sure to not mention that fight, as the other survivors' secrets weren't hers to tell--and the giant of a man seemed to overcome his grief with alarming rapidity. The other reunion hadn't left her quite so aware of the age in her bones, nor quite so sore; even when being gentle, a mountain of a man and powered armour were a bad combination for embraces.

Now they were walking around the apparently empty city, with Reinhardt narrating a story about how one of Torbjorn's daughters had tried baking a cake for the New Year and how it had nearly set the kitchen on fire. It was probably an exaggeration but, after dealing with the criminal underworld for so long and her own moroseness, Ana could appreciate such an upbeat tale. Of course, Reinhardt, helmet clasped under one arm, was too engrossed in his storytelling and the occasional grandiose gesture to notice the biker ahead--until pointed out.

"Hello! Could you tell us where we are?" the German asked, the first of the pair to actually speak to Kino--and as usual heedless of how intimidating a man of his size, especially with his armour, could be to children... male or female, he wasn't quite sure.

Shurelia

Moving along in her Linkage armor, Shurelia had been able to confirm that this was most likely not a place on one of the Plates or below. The lack of people made that quite clear. She was fairly confident that her presence would have drawn some attention, at the very least an attack by a suspicions populace. Not this complete silence that seemed to reign for now.

That left her options increasingly smaller. Either she was in some randomly habitable portion of the Sea of the Dead after all, which seemed unlikely, or this was a ploy by Mir of some kind to take advantage of her and stop her efforts to Suspend the operation of the Tower. That first option was unlikely at best, which meant this was most likely a trap of some kind. And without access to the abilities of Ar Tonelico, stopping her plan would be that much more difficult.

She had just drawn near a street corner when a strange figure in a long purple trenchcoat and a black hat walked past with the gait of someone who knew where he was and where he was going. For a second she thought it was a human, but then hr gaze narrowed behind the helm of her armor. No, this was most definitely a machine, of a kind that she did not recognize. It was certainly nothing that had originated in Platina.

"You," she said, coming to a stop and speaking with the authority inherent of a lady of her position. "What is your designation." At worst she would be attacked, but she was expecting that from Mir. But it was the only way she had to get more information on what was going on. Hopefully Mir was in a gloating mood.

Misaka Mikoto

Given her sudden change of surroundings, Mikoto couldn't say she'd expected Kuroko to show up so quickly. A the same time, seeing her friend was comforting, even if the younger girl had just shown up for the explicit purpose of lecturing her for taking down all those thugs by herself. If she was there, however, she wasn't going to simply wait. She was going to stop the people who were causing trouble like that. In any case, that wasn't the most pressing matter at the moment. Mikoto took a deep breath.

"Kuroko, haven't you noticed that this isn't Academy City?" she began, approaching her friend. She wasn't sure where it was, it looked like a much smaller Japanese town. There was only one skyscraper that she could see at all, every other building being quite a bit smaller. Nothing like Academy City, to say the least. "I have no idea where we are, do you?"

If Kuroko was here too, it was certain that whatever had happened wasn't only targetting her... but what could have happened to teleport them somewhere else? It obviously wasn't Kuroko... she had to find out!

Kino

"Oh, Kino, he's huge!" exclaimed Hermes.

Indeed, he was. There were few ways to describe the massive man in armor other then 'looming'. It seemed like he loomed over many things. People, cars, horses, sheds... in any case, however, Kino's eyes became fixed on that armor. It was in a way similar to the mechanized creations she had seen on her journey, but at once entirely different as well. In the end, however, the was only one thing that she could say at the sight of the massive armored man with a hammer.

"Amazing!"

It was fascinating to see such advanced technology cladding a human being, something she had never laid eyes upon before. Experiencing new things like this, it was one of the essences of travel, was it not? However, the massive man had asked her a question. While she was unable to provide an answer, she would respond all the same.

"I don't know where we are," she said, "I was in a hotel room, and then woke up here."

The girl paused for a moment, then decided to introduce herself.

"My name is Kino," she started, "And this is Hermes."

She gestured to her motorrad.

"It's really not this country's custom, is it?" he added.

"That's becoming more unlikely by the second, Hermes."

Scaramouche

@Flamelord

Walking down the lonely street, Scaramouche soon recognized that the city he's in is actually abandoned. Yet the city looks completely intact, with little overgrowth and rubble to be seen. It's as if this place's civilians just completely vanished without a trace. Minus the howling wind and the chirps of birds flying overhead, it was eerily quiet. Perhaps a bit too quiet. The android has eliminated entire villages before and even then was the scene a little more lively than this. This is simply deader than dead.

Of course, the android has no idea where he is and where he's going, despite his posture saying otherwise. If anything, Scaramouche is trying to figure out where a time portal is so that he'll be able to get back to his world, if there is one that is. Nowhere has he ever heard of a location like this in his world, even the architecture here was different. This world was strange to him and it was nauseatingly quiet. So he decides to do the one thing he shouldn't be doing in such unknown territory.

Unintentionally make him standout by singing, or in Scaramouche's case "scatting".

"Bla-le-le-da-le-le-lo-le-da-la-la-de-dum!" he android scats to himself as he continues walking down the street without a care in the world. After all, who'll be listening to him in an abandoned city like this? Surely there won't be any~

"You."

Scaramouche suddenly stops scatting and halts to the sound of the voice. It was a feminine voice, followed by a strict authoritarian bark with a robotic-undertone. He turns around to see the person calling his name. It was an armored figure, plastered with white, black and gold high-tech armor that resembled angelic wings. The figure's face was covered by a helmet and the suit reached all the way to her feet, ending in emerald-green cones. Nowhere has Scaramouche seen this kind of armor in his world. It was unique and one-of-a-kind.

"You talkin' to me, babe?" the android casually answered while pointing at himself.

"What is your designation." the female barked at him coldly.

"My designation?" he answers rather confusingly, his right teal eye revealing a top-down crescent shape, "Well you better lemme know who I'm speaking to first, baby. Also care to mind in filling me in on where in the bleep-blap-blabbity-boop place I'm in too? I uh, so happened to have landed here by some mysterious circumstance, ehm long story, babe."

An armoured hand clamped down on the hilt of Lucia's sword as she took in her surroundings. Wherever this was, it certainly wasn't the tavern she had been resting in. She looked at the architecture with a combination of confusion and awe as she wandered through the town. Were these ruins of some forgotten civilisation? Another plane? The metal carriages, the strange buildings and the single tower looking over the place were nothing like anything she had seen before. She frowned.

The knight stepped around a corner, then quickly retreated, peering out at a pair of figures with all the stealth one would expect from someone clad in steel plate. A pair of girls? They seemed unarmed from what she could see, and with their strange clothes, perhaps they knew more about this place than she did. Releasing her grip on her weapon, Lucia stepped out into the street and approached the teens.

"Please excuse my intrusion, my name is Dame Lucia of Whitehill. I am afraid I am quite lost at the moment. Would either of you know how to leave this place?"

~Nogami, Aoi~

"Ehh... What are those? Androids?"

Aoi softly whispers to herself as she skulks in an alleyway, peeking out to witness something she doesn't see everyday. Although this is just another experience she has to add in the list of oddities and misfortune that have happened to her so far...

It started during a deployment of the Children. First the B.A.B.E.L. transport helicopter they were using had an engine failure, although no one was hurt when quick thinking by Kaoru lead to her essentially carrying the chopper to land on the ground safely. However that little incident cost them time, which meant she had to teleport everyone in a sustained mode towards the scene. Which meant on arrival she was a bit too tired to function as efficiently as her colleagues. Noticing this Kaoru decided to go all out and end the confrontation quick, and unleashed a massive psychokinetic wave at the bad guys, unfortunately the resulting explosion of debris caught Aoi off guard and she got hit in the forehead by a piece of rubble. This caused her to lose balance from her position on a rooftop and fall through a glass roof of a building nearby.

When she came to she had to go through the shock of not only being tired and hurt, but also noticing that the entire place has changed... Because when she got out of the warehouse type building she found herself in, there was no Kaoru, no Shiho, and no Minamoto... All she saw was a parking lot that has definitely seen better days. Whats worse is that when she consciously tapped into her sense of dimensions and space, she could'nt find her bearing whatsoever... This in addition to what has already happened almost brought her to the verge of tears, but she held it back and kept strong...

After spending a few minutes to calm herself as well as tend to the injuries she sustained she set off to find a way back to where her team was or at least find a way to call for help, as to her dismay she found out that her cellphone has permanently no connection here. Cautiously she began exploring...

And that's how she ended up here. Watching what appears to be two androids about to converse with each other.

Shurelia

Behind the mask Shurelia's gaze narrowed as the flippant robot asked what her name was rather than answering her question. He seemed to have some link to her people, but there was nothing that indicated he had any actual ability. Maybe he lacked the same connection that she did, or an apparatus to compensate? Still, it did not allay her suspicions towards him. But if this was the way for her to get answers then she would take it.

At the same time she couldn't help but notice that they were being watched, by a figure that was mostly in hiding at this point. She wasn't sure who exactly it was, but it made her that much more certain that this was a ploy by Mir.

Still, if she had to answer then she would. "I am Lady Shurelia," she announced in the same formal tone she had held thus far. "Administrator of Ar Tonelico and leader of the Knights of Elemia. I will ask again, what is your designation?" If this was a trap then this was the most likely time that it would be sprung, now that her identity was confirmed. So she tensed, preparing herself to run or dodge whatever attack came. Without a weapon on her she was defenseless, so she would have to trust in her skills to keep her alive until she could change that situation.

Scaramouche began to "oooh" at the figure's statement.

"Ooooh!" the android oohes while putting a finger by his chin, "Part of royalty with the whole "Lady" I see? How fancy is that, babe?"

He pauses as Shurelia asks him again of his designation. He wants to go all out on his designation, much like how he was with Samurai Jack back in his world... but this is no Samurai Jack. So instead of showing her his true colors right off the bat, he takes it nice and slow.

"I'll tell you who I am," he responds, "The name is Scaramouche. Now if you can so kindly please, babe, can you tell me where I landed exactly? Any sorta map will definitely help here in this whole ghost-town place."

As he continued conversing with Shurella, he noticed that she seemed a little tense, as if she's preparing to do something. Scaramouche's right eye curves in concern.

"You ok Shurella-doll?" he asks curiously, turning around swiftly to look at the rest of the scenery, "You look like you've seen a blip-bloppidy ghost."

Shirai Kuroko

Not... Academy City? The younger girl blinked a few times as she looked around. It was distinctly modern, yet compared to Academy City that made it a backwards place all around. How they got here was definitely a mystery; Kuroko's teleportation was definitely not strong enough to jump to an entirely separate city, nor to drag along someone that she had no physical contact with. Though it was worth a shot: focus on Onee-sama, run through some calculations and...

Nothing. Those abominations under her skirt were sadly still in place.

"I don't know either and we definitely didn't get here by any teleportation I know of. If there was some clue where we were, I'm sure that I could reach an airport in a few hours, but..." the teleporter said, continuing to look around for any sort of indication. Sadly, the only noticeable thing in the area made things more confusing: where in the world could you find a knight in modern times? "Sorry, Miss Lucia, we are as far from home as you."

And what was a European knight doing speaking Japanese?

Reinhardt Wilhelm and Ana Amari

Both the adults took a talking motorbike in stride. After having fought through an entire war to prevent sapient robots from wiping humanity from the face of the planet, it was quite easy to accept intelligent machinery that had no right to possess that level of intelligence--though, for certain, the presence of an intelligent wheeled vehicle was an odd mishmash of past and present.

"Amazing? I agree!" Reinhardt said, the boisterous man placing his hammer on the ground--and proceeding to flex rather dramatically, despite the armour hiding his muscles. The posturing did show off the rather surprising range of motion that it permitted... even with the enormous shoulders.

Which left Ana to talk to the, the more level-headed woman sighing at his antics, relieving as it was to see that even the fall of Overwatch had done nothing to dent the man's spirit. Though maybe it was to at least provide some relief if the girl realised there was no easy way back to where she came from?

"I'm Ana and this is Reinhardt. I was in Egypt and he was in Sweden, so however we came here must have been something more unusual than car or plane." Not mentioning that this was a rather strange abduction. For instance, how did one even go about taking Reinhardt anywhere whilst armoured? *Why* would you try dragging Reinhardt off armoured, or leave the sniper her weapons?

The swirl of dust coalesced into a shape. Not quite human but instead more squat and robust. It was also, unmistakably, undead. empty eyes sockets stared out and an impossibly ancient stone sword was held lazily by an arm covered in withered flesh.

In his eternity of existence he had visited countless cities and delved into many warrens of magic but this one was unfamiliar in every way. He tightened the grip on his sword and looked about with his senses. There were people but their features and clothing were as alien to him as the buildings. He was deaf to even his own warren and that of his people.

Onos T'oolan collapsed into dust.
~~~
After several moments he appeared near a trio of people. One of them towered over the others and even the shortest was of even height than the T'lan Imass. The tallest reminded him of a Malazan heavy, large, solid and covered with unyielding armour.
His head turned slowly with a muted creaking, although the movement was unnecessary for him to look around. He found that it made mortals more comfortable if he affected a mortals mannerisms. And so, when he spoke his mouth moved with the words, though that too was merely a human affection. The voice rasped but otherwise lacked any accent or inflection.
"Where is this place?"
Misaka Mikoto
There were a few moments of blank staring when the knight walked up. Mikoto wasn't sure what to make of this, not one bit. A fully armored knight? The only possibilities Mikoto could use to explain such a sight was, likely, a very lost cosplayer. But the armor looked so real, while at the same time lacking any of the mechanized components power armor found in Academy City would display. No, this appeared to be some kind of knight. Not only that, but she didn't look Japanese at all. Yet she spoke fluent Japanese, that sounded like it was the language she was born with... Mikoto attempted to understand this. Perhaps the older girl was raised here? But... where was here? Some kind of experiment?
Flashes of those on the darker side of Academy City came to mind, suddenly. But this seemed too strange even for such people. What was going on?
"... Jeez, whoever's responsible for this..." an electrical current crackled around Mikoto's head. Whatever was going on, there was no way it was anything good in the Electromaster's mind.
... Wait, what was...?
The scent that came to Mikoto's nose was one of... frying breading? Meats? It smelled like someone was cooking...
"Does anyone else smell that?"
Kino
Not only did that armor clad the huge man's entire body, but it seemed to be so flexible too! Kino had never seen any machine like it, not even those human-like machines she had seen prior... no, this armor was something entirely new to her. Raising her hands, she lightly clapped at the massive older man's display. It was a pretty impressive display of some sort of mechanism she had never seen before, so she had to show her appreciation somehow, didn't she?
Egypt and Sweden were countries Kino had never before heard of, but she could assume from context that the were hardly armored. So they had all been taken from totally different places, somehow?
"Ohh... scary! Something took us all here against our will!" Hermes commented.
"If whoever did this wanted to harm us, I don't think they would have let us keep all our weapons," Kino replied. That, at least, made sense to the dark-haired girl. Why would you abduct someone and then leave them with all their methods of self-defense? Therefore there must be another reason... but what was it?
At that moment, the sense of sizzling meat and frying dough met Kino's nose...
"... Ah?"
... Of course, then the sight of a speaking, living skeletal armored being took her quite by surprise. Something like that was even more surprising then the hulking armored man.
If the smell didn't get any to show up, surely they'd notice this...
A pan was slammed into the bottom of a large pot, strapped around the waist of a small brunette girl clad in a floral kimono. She didn't what to disappoint the boss, and with the new people who'd just shown up... Well, it was time for a little song!
Hopping from one foot to the other, waving a fan in her free hand, the girl stood in front of a brightly-colored stand that housed a sizzling grill and fryer. She had a little time before anything was done to advertise! ... Which would hopefully distract her from eating any of the merchandise, too...
"Hey! Hey! Look over here! I'm gonna show you why you shouldn't fear!" she declared, her off-key singing only emphasizing the clearly-improvised lyrics as she twirled, banging on the pot and waving the fan, "You want a snack? Check out this... er... shack? We're not hacks!"
She banged on the pot several more times.
"Takoyaki taiyaki yum yum yum, I promise to you that you won't burn your... thumbs!" she continued, looking a little uncertain about those last lyrics, "And if those aren't your taste, we have much more! Don't worry about your wallet, our prices won't make you poor!"
Logan heard the clanking of pots a good distance away. It seemed all his faculties were about him again. He took the shot glass with him as he exited the empty tavern and went to find out the source of the racket--it had begun to give him a headache. Some miles of walking and he began to notice just how empty the streets were. Was this place that desolate? He hadn't seen this few people since Earth-807128. At least he wasn't some old bastard this time. As the clanging continued, Logan roused a growl from his lips. Whoever was making that racket would pay for it! He found the culprit and was ready to give her a mouthful!
"CUT OUT THAT DAMN--" it was a child. Logan huffed, his anger rebuffed by the small girl's joyous face. A smile almost creeped upon his face--then he killed it. He had seen adorable things before, and none of them made him smile. He sure wasn't going to let some small, adorable, innocent girl in a kimono break him. Not after all these years.
"Ey, let me have whatever the hell she's talking about." Logan grizzled.
Pokémon Trainer Hilda
Hilda couldn't help but notice the redhead was carrying about a large spear. Her head tilted for a moment as she eyed it up, wondering just why she had it. After all, with Pokémon there was no reason to have such a weapon for protection, right? Kyouko didn't seem all that dangerous, but you could never be too cautious; just in case, Hilda placed a hand on her hips, specifically on the Pokéballs strapped to her belt.
"Mmmm, right, right..." Hilda nodded cheerfully, her other hand tipping the brim of her trucker hat. So she was just as lost as she'd looked, huh? "So were you in Castelia City before too or-"
The Pokémon Trainer trailed off as her nostrils twitched, an utterly heavenly smell filling them... And the rumble in her stomach reminded her that she'd never gotten her darned Casteliacone. The awkward singing echoing around only seemed to hammer in the fact, really.
"...Eh, big questions can wait for later, right?" Hilda laughed, not entirely covering up the rumbling. "Whatcha say we get somethin' to eat first? Man, I hope they've got enough for the rest of the team too!"
Shurelia
Scaramouche? Theatrical introductions aside, that was a name she did not recognize. If it thought that she was a member of royalty then she would not disabuse it of the notion. Though to be honest it was somewhat true, insofar as nobility was a thing. If anyone could be considered on Ar Tonelico, it would be her. Considering the impact she had had on human history, it was understandable that she would be so recognized.
"I do not know," she admitted after a moment. So there was no attack coming? But of course Mir would expect her to react so hostilely. It was probably waiting for her to let her guard down, or something like that. "I had thought I had fallen into the Sea of the Dead, but that seems unlikely." She wasn't about to be frank and admit that she thought this was a trap by Mir. Until she had a better handle on the situation, she would play along with the game.
She did not hide it as well as she could have hoped however, and she mentally cursed as it called her out on her concern. "I am fine," she reassured him curtly. Showing weakness now would just give it an opening to take advantage of. But fortuitously, or not, a distraction rapidly presented itself. A strange voice on the air, singing a bad song about....eating food? Suddenly Shurelia found her mouth watering, even with the business at hand. Getting possessed and fighting a lot before effectively killing yourself really took it out of a Reyvatiel.
"I suggest we see what that is," she decided, and without waiting for it she moved forwards, in the general direction of the voice. She didn't know where she was going but she was sure that she would find it eventually. For now, food called.
