NPC: The Park, Saturday Morning

The suited man studied the teenager with a clinical gaze.

"You seem like an open-minded kid," he said finally, the sandwich in his hands finally consumed entirely and now resting somewhere in his digestive system. "Wish there were adults like you in Hata Express who I could negotiate with. It would make my current job so much easier."

He pushed himself off the bench, standing up and dusting some crumbs off his lap.

"Won't take up more of your time," he continued. "Go keep on doing whatever you're doing."

His lunch break was ending. Back to hashing out deals with that delivery company.

"See you around, kid," was his casual farewell, waving a half-hearted salute as he strolled away.

Kimiko gripped the handle of the prop sword tightly as she anticipated her allies opening the door to the hall. If one thing was clear, she shouldn't count on these others to keep her safe. Although Kimiko was fairly certain Kagami could adequately wield the bokken, the rest of the group had likely never touched a real weapon before. Not that Kimiko's own skill would be much better; she realized that practicing forms in the yard differed significantly from real combat. She just hoped her allies could cooperate well enough to survive the trip out of the school.

They had barely taken two steps out of the door, and the group was already arguing. So much for cooperation... Kimiko stepped forward into the hall and quickly glanced around. There was no way the drama club could have done this much prep work with no one noticing, and by now, the hallways should be much more full of students beginning to arrive for club activities.

Kimiko cleared her throat to get the others' attention. "We should treat this as unknown territory. Splitting up is unsatisfactory. There is nothing to suggest that anyone else is present in this building, as many people, including Frog-san, seemed to disappear. Thus, and I hate to admit it, but Frosty-san's cowardly suggestion is more tactically sound than your noble one, Isami-san. We should head for the nearest exit and see ourselves to safety, if such a concept still exists."

Etsu was quick to turn to what looked to be another human at first glance. She breathed a sigh of relief at this time, glad to see a human being around and initally unaware of this thing's true intent. But then she saw the look in its eyes...

"Hey. Why're you looking at me like that?" Etsu asked, "What did I ever do to you?!"

Unfortunately, all she got in response was a suspicious and creepy advance on her. What the hell this thing was even thinking, if anything, Etsu wouldn't have known. Most people would think twice before approaching her, especially with intent to harm. And it sure as hell didn't look like a heavyweight contender, which would likely mean Etsu had muscle mass over it as well. The only real reason the creature would go through with its advance was because it truly was mindless... after all, it certainly felt like the case as it drew nearer to her.

And then it happened. Before Etsu could react in an adequate manner, the humanoid creature lashed two clawed appendages at her, one wrapping itself around her foot, and the other piercing right into her thigh. Letting loose a scream of pain, Etsu scrambled to shake the appendages off of the stricken leg, albeit to no avail. That stab in particular was in all likelihood going to take its toll on her ability to run. Any other girl in Etsu's current position would be left completely vulnerable, and Etsu did not want to find out what exactly she was meant to be vulnerable to. She still had her hands free, so she at least made sure to try and pull the sharper of the two appendages out of her with her right hand. She was just barely able to grasp said appendage before realizing how close the being itself was.

Thankfully however, it was in range of what would be an immediate retaliation.

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME, YOU DAMNED CREEP!!" Etsu put all her power into a left hook that would catch the creature off-guard and, with the right amount of luck, knock it backwards by however slight an amount and give her an opening to pry herself free. Etsu reared that same fist again, in the very likely event that one punch wasn't enough.

Uchima Senior High - Main Building, 3rd Floor, Hallway outside Faculty Office

The oozing black limb was ripped out of the flesh with a violent tug, the sounds of a crack accompanying the snapping off of one of the claws. Blood, sickly crimson in the dull light of the hallway, sprayed into the stagnant air, the eerie extremity spurting with all that it had drained. All of Etsu's life fluids that it had stolen. The creature hissed. The fist connected. Teeth flew. Bone shattered. A wild, unceasing roaring shriek.

Its head snapped back, the disgusting carpet that was its hair flying everywhere. All over its face. Blood, mustard green, dribbled from the open hole in its greying, diseased cheek, the only escape for the pooling fluid inside its hurt skull. Etsu's blow had struck it hard. It had misjudged her power.

It wanted her.

Her potential.

Her will.

h̴̸̷̺͚͙͋͒᷄᷆᷃͌͐͐͜ȩ̶̘̝͎̯͎̩᷊̂ͣͦ᷈ͧ͟r᷂̳̞̖ͩ͗͑᷁̈́͏͖͕ͭ͌ͥ s̶᷿̜̪̰̺̻͍̉ͥ͐̔ͬ̕͢e͖̲̙᷂̱̮̘͙᷇͆̌᷈̂ͬ̋c̼̼̮̻̘͕͛͑̇̊̇͐́̒ͧọ̸͉͇̺̳̦᷈᷅ͦ̒ͧ̀̔ͅn̵͓̥̳᷂̞͂͗᷆͐͏̱ͬ᷉̐d̸̢᷂̠̫̟͎̯ͮ̈́᷁͗̊͟ͅ c̣᷿̭̣̭ͮͣ᷄͌̔ͣ̍̈́͠͝h͎᷇͏̧᷂͍᷊͉̟͈͑̄̆ͮ͠a̞̲̺̺̫ͩ̽̾̿̓᷄᷇᷆̕͡n̢̛̛᷂̳͚̪̼ͯͩ͑̅̎ͫ͟ċ̟̟̮̪ͨ᷀̒͏̣͖̍ͬ͘ͅḛ̡̖̫̯̹̯̏͑̄᷆ͥ̔̕͡

It wouldn't give her one more attack.

The grip on her left leg tightened. Constricted. The black, clawed appendage was as cold as ever. It skittered across the floor, slamming its frail, disgusting bulk against Etsu and bringing her to the wooden floor with a clatter. Its slammed its still bleeding appendage, black as night, down against her neck. Red licked at her skin. It was like a noose. A noose for her soon-to-be execution.

Its face, matted with dirt, loomed over her face. Its jaw hung loosely from the rest of its skull, revealing its bruised, indigo tongue, forked and spasming. Teeth, cracked and shattered, shuddered with every hiss. The green blood continued to dribble down, drops coalescing mere centimetres away from Etsu's vulnerable skin. Golden eyes pierced hers.

It would kill her.

Her options were few.

Hitomi jumped with delight as she hopped onto the other bike at Daisuke’s behest. It was glorious. It had wheels, and spokes, maybe some gears?

Hitomi didn’t know a lot about bikes. But she could ride one! She typically rode with a huge guitar case on her back so this was gonna be nothing. Kazou looked about as frail as a guitar.

"Should I, um, just take the tram? Where are you guys headed maybe I could meet up I mean..." Hitomi’s eyes began to focus in on her prey new friend and they lit up instantly.

“Kazou-San, I can take you anywhere in the world on this bike. Because if my name is Hitomi, and this bike belongs to Kimiko-Sama then there’s nothing I can’t do. Please get on.” "

She gave a thumbs up to Daisuke and Kimiko before realizing that there was an equal probability that this bike she was on now, well it could belong to Daisuke too.

“In the case that this is Daisuke’s bike his pure skill will flow through my and I will be able to make it at least to our destination.” The girl had immense confidence in her own abilities and her friends’ bikes. But in truth, she looked like a madwoman. She was on the lower end of the height spectrum and she could barely sit comfortably on a bike built for someone as tall as Daisuke or Kimiko. Still Hitomi’s vast confidence would surely outweigh her physical abilities.

Jin was not in the mood to play the coward's game. They had faced worse than this and lived, and the idiot pranksters who'd started this would regret it dearly. Tensing their knife hand, Jin's eyes widened and teeth showed in an eerie grin.

"You fuck with me? It's your funeral." With only a moment's hesitation, Jin started down the right path, short legs striding toward the unfamiliar footsteps. "I'll be sure your relatives get your ashes."

Soon the thumping step would be joined in a near silent padding. Jin had learned young how to step like a criminal, and despite living in peace for several years, the old instincts flooded back fast. Keep your head on a swivel, eyes in motion. Measure your breathing. Being afraid was smart, because being too brave could get you shot. But too much fear and you froze. Instead, use the fear and let terror taste it's own medicine.

Suzune was eager to get out of this hellhole and back to sanity. If the group ran into any sort of monsters or something, she'd just use her hammer to beat the daylights out of them. Sure, she could throw it if she needed to do long-range damage, but it wouldn't just come back to her like some sort of boomerang. She'd use the nails if any long-range combat was needed. They were small, yeah, but they were sharp enough at the tip to pierce, which was good enough for her.

And then snow cone, AKA Frosty-san, AKA Furst Alexander, decided to 'be a hero' and 'stop Kagami from doing anything stupid', which, to Suzune, just looked like the dumbass being a jerk, as per usual. Something about securing an escape route. Oh, bullcrap. Strength in numbers was more than enough. She just needed to bring Kimiko with her and escape through the nearest exit if snow cone didn't cut the nonsense.

However, Kimiko was, thankfully, being a voice of reason and trying to stop it herself. She was pleased to hear her call snow cone's tactics cowardly, as well. "I agree with Maita-sama," Suzune said, grabbing her free hand in her own. "If you want to get out of this hellhole alive, follow us while we try to find an escape route." The dark-haired girl held her hammer out in front of her, gripping it tight and grinning. "We'll beat anything that tries messing with us senseless. You can count on that."

Uchima Senior High - Hallyway, Classroom Building, 2nd Floor

One. Two. Three. Four.

The symphony of steps came closer. Their intensity grew, a thudding in the darkness that was second by second closing in upon the path of Jin. The clicking of unfamiliar feet against the wood. The rhythmic tapping of an eerie gait. Coming closer. A hitching of the breath. A choked wheeze. A hissing that was so close yet so far from the teenager's ears. A scent ... rotten yet stagnant, an odour that was almost long gone. It was swept through the building, and the cold breeze only chilled.

The air suddenly grew heavy.

Something roared.

And then a gigantic mass of ice the width of the hallway, sharp and edged, tore through the black and towards Jin.

NPC: Jihei Okazaki - Drama Clubroom?????, Saturday Morning

"The main entrance is on the other side of campus," admitted Okazaki, choosing to pitch in as well. The introverted vice-president had his arms crossed, the chair leg dangling to his side from his left hand. "If we want to find anyone else, then we will have to take that into consideration too."

He was worried for the safety of his fellow drama club members. Even if none of them may have ended up in the same situation as him and his companions, Okazaki wanted to make it entirely sure. However, it was also true that the better choice for them to make, when trapped in this eerie facsimile of their school, was to focus on their own self-preservation, especially when the presence of others wasn't a certainty. Except for the fact that with the change in scenery, previous assumptions of the nature of their school may possibly not apply.

Neither idea were admittedly bad decisions, but a wrong choice would leave them floundering like whales beached on white sands, trapped in an unfamiliar and dangerous environment until they wasted away, leaving only carcasses behind for the elements to erode.

He watched the walls, observing their monotonous colours, their aging surfaces. Their situation was one that was almost too overwhelming to comprehend, but it was for that reason it was probably for the best if they were to stay calm. To think things through a bit more before deciding to take the plunge into whichever path they took. If they travelled aimlessly, he wasn't too sure on what could transpire as a result.

"What if the entrance is not the entrance?" he verbalised after a few seconds, his thoughts entering his words.

If the motivation for returning to the front of the school rather than rescuing their fellow students was a chance to escape, what would happen if that was no longer an open door for them? His question, spoken in the same subdued, calm tone, had a ponderous nature to it, and it was clear from watching him that he was still weighing out the choices.

Kagami Isami

"I get it I really do you you want to leave this place but please hear me out who is to say that in this hellhole that the main exit is the best way. There are other methods of escape that can solve both problems the emergency exit which is near the kendo club. This way we can both leave and at least make some effort in looking for any others." Kagami said she was guessing in the panic people forgot about the emergency exists. "Though while I have your attention" she said turning to Alexander "your attitude has been less than pleasing in fact if it wasn't for this situation you I would leave and never look back. This is a odd situation we are in your attitude and undermining rather than listening and providing your opinions in a more reasonable method IS NOT HELPING." Kagami spoke her voice raising at the end she was trying to keep a strong face but in reality all she wanted to do was run and not look back. This persons reactions toward her was less than welcome and did not help the matters at all. "Look we dont know anything about this situation so with that said I say that perhaps trying the emergency exists at least warrents our attempts." She continued was really feeling pressure and stress at the moment but for now it was not important getting her group and any survivors was.

@Crimmy @JBRam2002 @GarlandDaHero @Suku

Oh good, making accusations like a total hypocrite, just peachy, just soooooo peachy. Not like her first suggestion was to have them all search for others and then head away from the entrance of the school. Then she mentions looking for an emergency exit then claims he was the one inhibiting progress. Jeez, her mindset was just as twisted as Ms. "Totally a Lesbian." Maita-san, thankfully, took his side on this confrontation. Letting out a brief sigh, his body relaxed a little as he temporarily switched gears to eye Maita-san.

He gave her a quaint, silent, but respectful nod to acknowledge his answer before locking eyes once again with Isami-san. At this point, all bets were on her trying to turn the whole group against him... bet this was a perfect opportunity to blackmail him into getting so insight into what'll be in in fashion due to his standing.

Alex wasn't having her use him as a tool because of this stupid situation, but he knew he had to play his cards carefully. Sure, she could easily rouse WIB over there, but so far he had her buddy siding with her. Maybe he could be a little bit sarcastic, but not a whole lot. Placing a hand on his hip, his lips furled into a frown as he gave her a gaze that could probably slice a melon in one fell swoop.

"... your suggestions are good, but your accusations are daft and lack any sort of evidence, other than my attitude," he spoke with a hard tone of voice towards her with bits and pieces of maliciousness weighing in toward the girl. "Don't feed us fragments of your ideas and expect us to go blindly along with it; it would of been helpful to know there was an emergency exit nearby your club room, instead of, y'know," Alex paused as he twirled his hand, palm now facing towards the ceiling.

"... saying we should search for others in the practice building before leaving."

Alex ignored part of what little Ms. Andry said since it was just basically her reiterating what he said an contributing absolutely nothing (hell, he bet she just ignored what she said and plucked some words from his suggestion to make it sound like he didn't contribute jack), save for fighting off anything that appeared. "If there is anything to fight, or if we can actually best it. At most, combat should be a last resort," Alex grumbled before turning to Okazaki-san.

Hmm... hmm... hmm...

"... I think I know where you're going with this vice-prez," he sighed and stared towards the ceiling, recalling his playthrough of Corpse Party. His bottom lip slid down as he blinked at the bleak roof before his head bound back down. "... maybe... I'm going to guess that you're thinking the exit is random, with the possibility of it not being the schools entrance, oooooor," he twirled his baton around before taping it lightly on his head.

"Getting outta here is more abstract than we think..." Alex crossed his arms as he took a minor glance over the whole mix and matches of people and pondered. Grasping his chin with his thumb and index, he gave what everyone said some thought on the matter. The emergency exits, the entrance of the school possibly not being an entrance... hmm...

And then, it hit him like a sack of bricks.

"Alright, I have an idea."

Alexander slammed his baton into his hand as he swiftly grasped it was well, wincing a little at the force he presented onto himself. "We've got two buildings that have multiple emergency exits... we should create a mental map of where to go in this building and find the shortest way to two emergency exits before leaving, however..." Alex paused for a brief moment, scanning the area behind to see if their speaking had attracted any unwarranted attention.

...

...

The only prevailing thing was that screech. Unless there was an assailant that could muffle their movement... then yeah... Blinking and letting out a soft breath of air, he continued to explain his idea. "We should also check to see if we can get out through any windows in either building, so we should try and check one of the rooms that has a window here before leaving. Rinse and repeat with the main building, then we go to the main entrance to see if we can get out from there. This is assuming we don't find our way outta this macabre place after the first few tries. If we do, hooray... but if all attempts fail, well..."

Alex shrugged, "... we find a safe place to go and plot our next move there... unless we have any suggestions, can someone point us in the direction of the closest emergency exit?" He shot out his last statement rather hurriedly as he continued viewing each direction every few seconds.

"Tch."

Kimiko was starting to get annoyed with the bickering. This is why she spent most of her time in solitude. The only person who can argue with your thoughts was yourself, and Kimiko rather enjoyed her internal debates sometimes. This wasn't a debate. It was two people claiming they were right and the other was wrong, then throwing insults instead of assistance.

"Do you want to die?" Kimiko spoke up. "We have no idea what exists here. We have no idea whether our assumptions are still true in this place. Heading left or right does not matter. What matters is that we move, and that we move together. We can formulate a plan while in action just as easy as staying still, and it gets us closer to our exit."

Tugging on her friend's hand, Kimiko stepped forward. "I am heading this way," she said, pointing with her fake sword towards where Isami's plan would normally lie. "If we are lucky, this will be the way to our destination. If we are not, we shall adjust our plans as necessary. You may continue to stand here and bicker if you wish. I shall attend your funeral and bid my good wishes to your families. In the meantime, I wish to choose survival. Come, Ikari-san. I pray we are successful."

Yuuhei Seiho

Saturday Morning – Newspaper Club Room?

CLICK

While Natsumi had been busy talking, Yuuhei had pulled out his small digital camera, which was starting to show its years of use with each little scuff on it, and snapped a picture of the white haired girl. He cocked his head slightly as he looked at the picture, intrigued by the person captured by the lens. After all, the blond had been prepared for an entertaining show of disbelief or even anger, followed by an explanation to calm her down. But hesitant agreement? This one was proving to be quite good at catching the normally perceptive president off guard. Or maybe he simply wasn’t as good at reading people as he liked to think.

Regardless, Yuuhei dismissed the thought and looped a finger through the camera’s wrist strap before he started to twirl the poor thing rather precariously. Needless to say, it certainly didn’t take a genius to figure out how the small device had ended up in such a battered state.

”You’re taking this whole situation remarkably well,” he commented lightly once Natsumi finished talking, momentarily turning his back to the girl as he scanned the room for a more suitable weapon for his companion. ”Most people at least cry out in outrage at my half described plans and demand an explanation. And that’s without it being punctuated by an eerie scream serving as background music.” In one smooth motion, Yuuhei caught the camera mid spin and pocketed it as his amber eyes lit up. In the corner of the room, he spotted the broom that he had definitely been responsible for returning to the supply closet the day before. The president went to pick it up, for once grateful for Saika's need to keep the room as tidy as possible.

As it was, the broom was hardly an intimidating weapon, but it would probably be quite capable at batting away anybody that meant to do them harm. He turned it side to side, finding that it had a surprising amount of heft to it and was clearly meant to survive plenty of abuse at the hands of careless high schoolers. The blond tested the broom with a small downward swing before he gave it a small nod of approval, something he almost scoffed at as he was hardly any kind of authority on what made for a half decent weapon.

Yuuhei turned back to his underclassmen and held out the broom for her. ”Will this do?” he asked with a small smile. Truth be told, he was still rather disturbed by the oppressive atmosphere of the monochrome school they were trapped in, but his overwhelming desire to uncover the story behind it was doing a fine job of keeping the terror at bay. It was also all too likely to get him killed one day, but he would cross that bridge when he got there.

Tsubaki squeaked at the sounds outside her stall, clamping a hand over her mouth to silence herself. Then the banging started, and she couldn't hold it in any longer.

She screamed.

Crimson trickled, each drop little by little, down the stark grey of the stall. The air was dense with something - an invisible cloud of smog that was suffocating to breathe in. The flimsy walls, painted wood, aging, seemed to extend far into the ceiling. A makeshift fortress for Tsubaki, now more and more confining, long shadows falling over her in the dim, crackling fluorescence above - the only source of light in the claustrophobic cubicle that was now so, so small. A prison of her own design. Her scream reverberated through those aging walls. Rebounded off the flaking paint. Drowned out that eerie crying so far in the distance.

When the screams stopped, there was no other noise.

Only the sound of her breathing.

Heavy. Lumbering. Measured.

Only the sound of her clothes moving.

Crinkling. Hissing. Nervous.

Only the sound of her feet shifting.

Light. Creeping. Right outside.

Water swirled and sloshed as the toilets all began to suddenly flush at once.

A gnarled, rotting fist (bigger than her head) slammed through the stall's walls, the aging wood crumpling and splintering before the force as the appendage slammed through, striking the cheap marble behind her and shattering it. The rush of air past her ears could still be felt ... and a scent - sickly sweet - spread across the room. Through the hole that the arm, dotted with strange, strange jagged black lines, there was a golden glow.

This was obviously a monster.

Whatever possessed the arm seemed to hiss in disgusted frustration. The appendage shifted, wood digging into the ... indescribable flesh.

For the next second, it had been slowed down.

Terror gripped Tsubaki and her legs fell out from under her, her heart trying to escape her chest and run away on its own. She was going to die, and this thing was going to kill her. That was fact.

It was a fact her mind KNEW, but her body couldn't accept. Almost acting without thought, Tsubaki pushed away from the wall, sliding under the flimsy partition into the next stall, then the next after that. She scrambled to her feet and threw herself at the stall door, almost falling over again as it burst outward. Without looking back, she ran out of the bathroom, calling for help as loud as she could. Only one thought played itself again and again in her mind.

I need to run away, don't stop running.

Suddenly Ai and Ryoma almost fell to the ground, she barely gripped hard enough to keep herself from landing first first on the cold, hard ground yet again. Ryoma felt uncomfortable being used as a crutch but he can't say no to the person he almost skewered with an arrow just moments ago. So he has suffer from the girl's cold and clammy touch even more. Ryoma could hear a soft apology leave her mouth which he acknowledged with a simple nod of his head, and an even quieter, "No problem..."

Ai confirmed that she doesn't know how they got here as well, she also added she was with a student named Isami. Ryoma didn't know that person so he simple nodded his head again. The air in the hall cooled yet again, making Ryoma let out a shiver, and he sympathize with Ai as she has to wear a skirt in this messed up place as it kept cooler and cooler with each passing moment.

Ai forcibly laughed at his comment and her own joke, Ryoma shifted from foot to foot in discomfort, Ryoma didn't know how to respond to her ill timed joke. "... I-I don't really watch anime..." Ryoma added uncertainty, unable to relate to her anime comment, his parents only let him watch traditional style shows and maybe the odd child's anime that his siblings watch when their parents are at work. "B-but it can't be a coincidence... but life's pretty crazy so you never know..." Ryoma continued rambling.

Ryoma moved his arm a bit so Ai can get a better grip on it. "M-maybe we should look for other's Ai-Shi... w-we can't be the only ones here....hopefully..."

Ryoma hopes they's nothing else here but them and if they aren't, he hopes there's other humans at least.

Shi. Such a formal honorific to use for her. Despite the severity of their situation, the teenage girl could only let out a giggle at the uptight nature of her companion, the sonorous tone truly genuine in comparison to the forced laughs. It was a hint of relief bubbling to the surface, a small light of mundanity that was trying to survive the cloying fright and panic that was driving her to cling so tightly to Ryoma. She looked up at the boy's face with a smile, one that was smaller and still pale as she tried to keep her palpitating terror in check, but now somewhat less tense.

His presence was clearly keeping her calmer. Less afraid.

"Already going to call me Ai, Ryo-kun? You can use '-chan' then, okay?" was Ai Hanazawa's reply, her voice still trembling, but now with a lilting, teasing tinge that cut past Ryoma's ramblings. "Don't need to be so formal with me~!"

It was casual, yet a little forced. A continued attempt at maintaining normalcy in this bizarre, eerie world.

"I'll lend you some DVDs if you want," she offered, shifting her weight slightly so that she could rely less on Ryoma's frame to support her without putting pressure on her foot again. "When we get out, okay?"

A promise. Strained, but a belief that they would be able to get out was present in her voice.

"Now, I'll help you find anyone you want!"

Natsume; Saturday Morning - Newspaper Club Room?

CLICK

Natsume blinked, before slowly turning back into a tomato as she realized that the president had suddenly snapped a picture of her without warning. "Yuuhei-senpai, please delete that immediately." Her voice suddenly a little more serious. She tried to not let her anger and embarrassment show much, but her eyebrows probably gave it away. Not that she minded her picture being taken, but she disliked it when people did it without her consent. The girl often found herself weird looking in candid photos, and so wanted to avoid them as much as possible. She was just about to try and get the camera out of his hands when he stopped twirling it in his fingers and pocketed the device. "I'll get you next time." She took note of which pocket it was in, hopefully finding a moment later on to grab it and delete the photo before the president could get it back from her.

"W-well... I don't know." Natsume replied as she scratched the back of her head with her hand. "I guess it just hasn't hit me that this is all happening. For all I know, I may have fainted the moment I entered this room and this is all just a dream." A deep breath before pinching her cheek with her other hand and wincing a bit at the slight pain it brought. "It feels pretty realistic actually..." A pause. "The screaming doesn't help though." It still all felt so surreal to her.

The girl eyed the broom that the blonde was offering her. It was about a head or so taller than she was, so it would have at least give her the reach to make up for her shorter stature. Natsume took the broom into her hands and noted its weight and sturdiness. It'll probably last until she graduates if used properly, but it probably won't last the night if it was used as a weapon. "Well, it's either we get hurt or the clubroom gets a little dirty until they get a replacement." She was silently hoping that she wouldn't actually have to use it as a weapon against something. The girl proceeded to grip it like a sword and took a few steps back to give her some space to feel it out. Natsume gave the makeshift weapon a few slow and wide swings. "Too heavy on the brush side to use it like a sword." At the end of the second swing, she slid her hand closer to the center before swinging it again. At the top, she twirled the broom in her fingers a few times before catching the side with the head with her other hand. The shifted weight felt better in her hands, and was satisfied with it. "Yes, this'll work." A small smile creeping up on her lips. It was no spear, but it'll get the job done.

"Alright, so where do you want to start making noi-" Natsume was cut off by a loud scream. And her eyes widened when it sunk in. It was a different kind of loud.

It sounded like it came from an actual human. Female.

It sounded desperate. Scared. Very scared.

And it was close.

Her eyes went to meet Yuuhei's, but before she could wait for his reaction, she found herself bolting out of the room and trying to locate the owner of the scream. After a moment, a second scream came, and this was much clearer. As the girl turned to source of the desperate sound, she found the owner running out of the hallway bathroom to be a girl around her age. Black hair, wide open eyes, scared out of her wits.

"Hey! What's wrong?" She shouted towards the newcomer. The first words she said may have sounded cliched, but if she could identify what was making the girl have such a scary look on her face, then maybe she could find a way to help her calm down. Natsume kept an eye on the girl, carefully watching her to note of any injuries.

Ai giggled at the honorific he used, Ryoma blushed a bit, as it was a little embarrassing to be called out for using such a formal honorific but its the one he called all his follow third years, it was a force of habit. But it was nice Ai was calming down, even if her skin was still cold to the touch. Ai looked up to Ryoma with a small smile which he caught for a second before looking away sheepishly, Ryoma's not used to people smiling at him, it felt strange, almost alien, but not too bad if he was honest. If this really was a ploy by a demon it's uprooting his caution quickly, but if she's not a demon disguise, then this is a side of a person he never seen before. People never shown their vulnerable side to him, which now that he thinks about it, is a rather sad thought.

Ai talked again, gently teasing him for his formality, which he blushed again at. She also called him Ryo-Kun, which he was taken aback by, most people called him Ryoma-San or even Ryoma-Sama. And she allowed him to call her Ai-Chan. "O-okay Ai-Chan..." he replied sheepishly, "I j-just thought you wouldn't want the guy who shot an arrow at you to be so c-causal..." He admitted with a guilty tone to his voice.

Ai added that she would lend Ryoma some DVD's so he can learn more about anime, Ryoma curtly nodded, "Sounds good Ai-Chan." he agreed, but he still had doubt about them being able to leave this place alive, but a promise is comforting even if it can't be kept is better than nothing. Ai shifted her weight off of Ryoma so she didn't need to rely on him so much, but she still held on enough to keep pressure off her ankle.

Ai told Ryoma she would help him look for others, he felt like he will be doing most of the work but he didn't have the guts to say that, so he just nodded.

Ryoma was silent for a moment contemplating which direction the two should head, if they go back the way he came it would waste time and energy since Ryoma still didn't trust going right in a demon's world, since going right is the statistical average for humans to go. And demons would understand that so going left would be a safer bet for the two of them, especially with Ai's hurt ankle as his reaction time is hampered greatly. But company will make the constant screaming less prevalent if only slightly. But Ryoma should let Ai pick the first direction they should head towards.

"W-which way should we go, A-Ai-chan...I-I think going left of the hall would be a good first direction..."

Kazou - Outside McDonald's

The creepy stare birdbrain gave Kazou made his heart rise into his throat. She gazed at him almost as if he was food begging to be devoured. Part of Kazou thought that was slightly hot, but he shut down that part of his brain and began walking towards the bike. All he needed was a little motivation after all; he was the kid who'd jump off a bridge if someone pretended to be his friend, which these people surely were.

Screaming in his head about the awful idea, Kazou scooted onto the bike just behind Hitomi. This was probably the closest he'd been to a woman in a year and she was insane and would in all likelihood get them both killed. Concussions at least; no one here was wearing a helmet. Hitomi could barely reach the damn pedals. Kazou would gloomily take one for the team here.

"You uh, don't reach the pedals. Should I handle that and you steer? Since you know where we're going I mean." Kazou asked. Without an answer he began edging his feet towards those machines of his destruction, but moved his body no closer to the other rider on his bike until she gave him permission to take over the speed. After a response from her, Kazou would ask another question.

"So, where are going? A detective's office? To see a pizza robot named... Drake?"
