"Welcome to Hell!"

Those are the first words you are greeted with by a low budget paper banner with the letters splattered on lazily in black paint, and possibly some sort of cheeto dust or other food residue near the edges.

From across the way, your blurry hearing recognizes a frustrated and violent voice. Was there a fight?

"YOU DAMN SLOOOBBB! I TOLD YOU TO CHANGE THE DAMN SIGN DAYS AGO! EARTH RECOGNIZES 'HELL' AS A BAD THING, YOU GLUTTONOUS PIG!!!"

Looking closer, you can make out a man with fiery hair and reddened skin, teeth gritted as he shouted at a half-awake obese male who weakly slammed a pudgy paw against his hurting ear to protect his eardrums. As you listen, you realize they aren't speaking your language— yet you still understand them.
"I got hungry. It was barbecue Wednesday."
"LIKE YOU NEED IT!!"

A sigh was heard from beside you, making you swing around in surprise. "And they call me the lazy one. They aren't doing anything." A kind halfsmile pulled at the person's lips, he holding out a hand. "Welcome to the Underworld."

Alright, my two previous role plays failed, and I said I wouldn't try another one, but this one came to mind and I thought it was just free enough for people to enjoy it and maybe not kill it in the first two days...? Possibly...?

Anyway, this is going to be about life in the underworld— and, no, it isn't hell. The underworld is just where everyone goes after they die, and it was made to sound bad by the 'Angels' who separated themselves because they thought they were better. The lore will be more drawn out if and when the OOC goes up.

Meanwhile, the Underworld is ran by the seven sins: Asmodeus Lust, Belphegor Sloth, Mammon Greed, Leviathan Envy, Beelzebub Gluttony, Satan Wrath and Lucifer Pride. Yes, those are their last names, and because of their personalities it is why the sins are named for what they are. They each have their own part they play in running the underworld, and I will be playing Belphegor because he takes in 'New Souls' or the recently dead humans. Again, if this gets to the rp thread, it will be further explained.

As for you, you can play as an angel, a sin(with limited spots), a demon, a human who has died, or an arch (again, will be described.) The role play will be fairly free world of the general life living after death. It will be a lighthearted and comical role play, with a few 'aww' moments and maybe some drama, but I'm hoping for it to be fairly player-based with me only nudging you to stay on topic or not dwell on something too long.
WARNING: THERE MIGHT BE MILD BLOOD AND/OR CURSING INVOLVED! It's still the underworld, people.

Can I play a guy who thinks the underworld is as bad as the Angels said and the demons are just pulling a prank on him to drop his guard?

also the hebrew version of Sheol has both hell and paradise in it. so im confused, if the story is about how the underworld isnt as bad, why is there fire-haired demons? as a storyteller, im interested. as a religious person, i wont RP anything i disagree with.

Well, I was going to explain little details like that later on, but, basically the humans look how they appeared when they died. For example, if they drowned, their face and lips would be tinted blue, or if they were stabbed they would still have a permanent unhealing yet no painful wound. The longer they stay in the underworld, the faster this goes away and is replaced with more 'demonic' appearances, such as horns and tails.
Hope that makes sense for now, I'll explain it better in the OOC.

Yes, you may, but I encourage to try and play different species. And, as long as there are spots, only one sin per person due to the limited availability.

Though this is about the underworld and angels and demons, it is coming from a more fairy tale vibe rather than a religious one. In the lore for this in particular, the angels were once part of the underworld, but found that they could control light and healing rather than Fire and brimstone. Thus, they saw themselves as better and separated from the underworld to create "Heaven" where only the souls they deemed pure are allowed. Basically, angels in this rp are stuck up and whiny, with high standards that they created themselves. It is for comedic effect, so no religion is being tied in or attacked really. I only pulled a few ideas. ^_^

Just because he has fiery hair doesn't make him evil. XD I was conveying Wrath, who's traits are most closely associated with fire, thus his hair. However once someone actually creates Wrath, I will obviously change the description. Wrath could be a girl with purple hair if the player wants!

Of course! Most humans would probably feel that way. (Kinda why Wrath was pissed about the sign.. doesn't help in calming the humans down much...)
