But yeah, it depends on how those powers are going to work. Even without the idea of an infinite-power-battery I'm interested in what happens when a Darkness user drains power from darkness.

For the purposes of the RP "draining" darkness would require there be a finite amount and you would leave something in its stead which one would probably assume is light (but that's not how that works). A dark Aedis who is drawing on shadows for example for power would eventually "destroy" the shadow. Destroying the shadow of an object will cause the destruction of the object. Destroying the shadow of a person will not kill them but it will have some sort of marring effect on them. It is forbidden for an Aedis to destroy the shadow of another person, and is generally frowned upon though not expressly forbidden to destroy the shadow of an object.

I'm going through now and trying to find what needs answers still, there were a lot of comments made in my absence.

@WizardHippo Would you mind if his age was bumped up to 18? For the purposes of the story characters are a minimum of 18 years of age and at most 20. The reason why should become apparent very early on in the RP....I have evil, evil plans -laughs manically until my toddler walks in the room- If you have no problem bumping the age up then he is accepted.

Are repeated elements ok or do you want everyone to be different?

Repeated elements are ok, I did see that @Kiyran answered this (thanks!) but just wanted to make sure I answered it as well.

Oh! Forgot to mention, I've never really written romance before, but I remember it coming up in the interest check. I'd be willing to give it a shot if anyone is interested in either Ash or Liam.

I'm a sucker for romance and have it in every one of my 1x1 RPs but never in a group RP. I might see if I think one of the NPCs (played by me) would be a good fit for Ash or Liam if you're up for it.

I think we have a pretty good group going, so I'm excited. If I don't have the starter post up tonight it will definitely be up tomorrow as I'm off tomorrow and Saturday.

Couple of questions.

1) What is 'Holy Darkness'? Or other 'Holy' elements, for example?
2) If a Darkness user draws from darkness, then does his absorption create light? And does a Light user create darkness when they do the same?
3) If the answer to 2 is yes, then could a light and dark user together form a sort of super-battery?
4) Could 2 people of the same element have different powers based on their speciality?

1) Holy Darkness or any other Holy element just means it is a gift from the Gods. There are special circumstances where this will occur. Either the Creator or Amunet, depending on your character's alignment, will tell you if they have favored you. The favor of the gods is fickle, and does not last long.

2)His absorption does not create light, it's the shadow thing I described earlier. Now if you are drawing power from darkness in an unlit, windowless room and not shadow, you would instead of destroying something, would create a temporary black hole that would destroy everything within 10 meters of it.

3)Even if the answer had been yes, the answer to this one would have been no. When drawing power from another Aedis you can drain as much power as they have stored in their crystal and if they allow it, you can even draw power from their life force (which in the history of the Aedis has only been known to happen once and resulted in the death of that Aedis).

4) All Aedis of the same element have the ability to use all of the same powers but it will be different because no two Aedis are the same. For example, Iris is adept at rock walls and other defensive capabilities of an Earth Aedis but is not as talented at offensive capabilities whereas a different Earth Aedis may have been more combat focused with their powers. (You do not want to be on the receiving end of Iris' hammer)

I like the contrast between Luca and Wolfe. Both are prideful and confident, but one's manipulative and has a superiority complex while the other's just an immature show-off XD Should be fun to RP their interactions ^_^

I could imagine them both getting in arguments all the time because they're bullheaded, but Wolfe just takes it as a childish challenge and Luca acts cool but inside is like "I wonder how badly I'll be punished if I actually strangle him to death." XD

Does energy absorption of like sources scale to the intensity? Like say you're fire aligned could you leech off the heat of a volcano or something and charge it up quickly or would making dozens of bonfires and draining them suffice?

If the former is true, does this mean natural disasters/inclement weather serve as a boon of sorts since you can drain them without too much worry?

Is there some sort of punishment for like excessive draining of things?

If we drew energy from something like that, could we stop it from happening? Like, could an air Aedis save people from a tornado by absorbing its power?

In the example of your volcano, you could drain quickly from that source but would be unable to "super charge" your crystal. Once it's full, it's full. Aedis typically use their gifts sparingly outside of training or combat with the exception of a few small things. Iris, for example, will make flowers bloom for children.

Natural disasters would be a boon with the caveat that if you are attempting to drain a tornado or stopping an earth quake, depending on the intensity of the disaster, it could result in the death of the Aedis because of the amount of control required.

Just to give everyone a heads up, my character is in the CS tab. Seems like we have two wildly manipulative people, which should be interesting. And my character was appeoved via PM.
