Ok, so to make it clear. It's early evening already and everyone is in the tavern at the moment, right after listening to the Captain's explanation. What you do fro now on is on you, you are free to explore the village and surroundings, or keep talking to one another.
Aside from the tavern there are a few other locations worth of note in the village:
- The Inn where everyone is expected to spend the night. It has three person rooms, so you can make your arrangements however you see if.
- An open air, mixed gender, hot springs bath. It's adjoined to the Inn and has some well known medicinal properties.
- The businesses still open at this time are the villages' blacksmith, the tavern, the inn/hot springs, the pharmacist's boutique, an antiques emporium/bookstore and a general store.
- Likewise there's a number of villager houses that any curious/nosy soul may want to look into.
- There's also the village's outskirts which may or not be safe, but at least are pretty snow-free. Most of it are open fields, but there's a nearby lake, fed by the mountain's glaciers (so it's very, very cold). The lake also has an antique-styled aqueduct taking water from it to the settlements down the mountain range, which houses a watermill used by the inhabitants of Orello.
- Between the village and the fort there's a patch of thick woods with only a single uphill road defended by two checked points.
That's pretty much all that I think that may be of interest to your characters (if any of this is). However, if there's anything else that you may think off just ask and I'll see about it.
