@Lugubrious@BurningDaisies You're hired, congratulations.

Hmm well whatever the case, I have come to the conclusion that I will be relegating my character to a more background position. I don't have the time to both use a 'player character' and be a 'game master'. Alright so here is what we'll do. First off I need a list of people who are going to be together and then tell me the general location of where you plan to go which will influence what kind of npcs you will run into as well as plot lines you'll end up crossing.

Now from what I have read, some people like a more sandbox type approach, like @Rune_Alchemist while others prefer reacting and playing along with story events like @Thecrash20. It might be in your best interest in that case to split up accordingly so I know where to concentrate my efforts. Once people have been grouped up then things will be easier to plan.

Logically, the group will split in all four directions. But we all know the nearest kingdom is to the South.

Question: should NPC's have 'memories' of Yggdrasil? For example, should Lexus realize that the new world is not the same as the Yggdrasil world based on names of countries, geography, etc.?

The NPCs do have 'memories' of Yggdrasil and should therefore act accordingly. Having lived in the world according to whatever backstory and lore the player character gave him. The NPC then kind of fills in all the gaps left out by the player given lore, meaning there will be quite a few things about NPCs that even their creator wouldn't necessarily know about.

Something I was wondering....
If the events of YGGDRASIL took place almost 600 years ago before Momonga showed up outside E-Rantel (et al), did the NPC's experience the full 600 years? Or did they get the seamless time dilation experience the players did?

Well the Six Great Gods appeared in the New World 600 years ago who were probably the first players to arrive as they brought with them Tier magic and other systems from YGGDRASIL. Then every 100 years after that a group of players would 'advent' to the new world. Of course we have no idea when the Six Great Gods made the transition over and created what would become the Slane Theocracy. Now we know YGGDRASIL lasted for about 12 years, so if the Six Great Gods were transported during that first year, 1 year the real world = 50 years in the new world.

In any case though, NPCs are given ages by their creators so whatever the age is in their bio would be how long they have lived in YGGDRASIL, also probably if the backstory NPC is that they met their creator how ever many years ago, then that would translate to their memories as well. For consistencies sake we'll have the NPCs that came along for the ride have the same time dilation as the players for the transition to the New World.

!YRROS

I was planning on a more detailed starting post for Himitsu but due to IRL problems I was late for almost a week XD. The post that I made was a starting point that I just made up on the spot because I wanted to catch up to you guys. Same with @Holy Soldier, I am awake while the rest of you are sleeping but I don't mind if y'all already posted a bunch of times because I'll think of a way to be in sync with y'all. There's a possibility for me to go with a group but I think I can manage when I go solo, though I do think it'll be very interesting if Himitsu ran into the other characters while soloing ^u^. On the other hand, if I got accepted in a party, I apologize in advance if I reply late because of the timezone.

I want to ask something. As an avatar of Law and Order, and as an extension of Lexus' 'Impartiality' ability, it would make sense that Lexus Dominiel would have 'Truesight'. I have the description from a D&D wiki:

Truesight
A creature with truesight can, out to a specific range, see in normal and magical darkness, see invisible creatures and objects, automatically detect visual illusions and succeed on saving throws against them, and perceives the original form of a shapechanger or a creature that is transformed by magic. Furthermore, the creature can see into the Ethereal Plane.

The only difference would be that Lexus cannot see into the Ethereal Plane (since it's questionable whether such a thing even exists in the New World), and cannot perceive the original form of a shapechanger if the shape change is physical. Basically, Lexus would be able to perceive the physical 'truth' behind anything and would not be susceptible to magical illusions or any mind-altering effects.

I realize that this can be highly-offensive to players who have made characters that rely heavily on illusions, which is why I'm laying it out openly and leaving it up to GM discretion. I just feel that such an ability works well with Lexus' theme and should be built into the character.

I'm basically waiting for the time skip before I get rocking and rolling. That way I can just kinda cut in and out with what I have planned.

My character is just going to wander alone to a village or some sort. If any GM's are creating a major plot maybe my character will "notice" and attempt to "follow the plot line" when he's in a civilization. So that way my character can still have a chance to interact with other players.

Cain is probably choosing to avoid the city until he has more intel or something. Directly getting in contact with a human civilization without know8ng anything about their society and political structure isn't exactly his kind of thing.

Man, I'm not exactly happy with that post. The wording feels weird for me. Maybe I should have just waited for the time skip. Oh well, I'm not going to take it back at this point.

Well, you certainly made me giggle with that.

Yeah, Senna's probably going to be heading in the same direction as the city. She doesn't particularly care too much about being seen in the long run...she'll just, uh, bash their heads in if they say anything. Totally going to make tons of friends.

Not so sure about Tania and Lena at the moment. Lena's going to follow Tania and Tania...well lets just say she'll tag along with whoever she can mess with the most.

I'll see about getting a post up with 'em this evening.

Humor is a necessary part of maintaining your sanity sometimes. xD

Well... Unsurprisingly, it seems like a lot of the characters are going to the city for one reason or another.
I have some ideas of how to flesh out the city a bit more, so unless there are objections from the other GM's, I can start making NPC's and brainstorming on what events might come up. I'll probably have a google doc for it later...

@BurningDaisies

Yasha is going to E-Rantel. If I'm not mistaken, Selena is also going with her.

Nyna will probably follow Jack. She and Jack will probably get into trouble if they go to E-Rantel (due to the beastmen not being very... friendly with humans (but Nyna doesn't know that yet.).

Everyone is basically in the same situation: lost in an unknown land. Going to the nearest city to try to gather some information is the first thing to do. I believe that the real 'groups' will start getting formed after E-Rantel.
