Mamoru Aksha

Mamoru continued to cuddle Reina, but as Acion talked about Mamoru she smiled and gave Acion a peace sign. ”Aw, thanks Accy! But there ain’t much to learn from me! It’s all about guts really. I’d show Reina a thing or two but we all know she’s got guts. Well, maybe if she could take a compliment and have more confidence in herself. In that case I got a lot of work to do!” Mamoru said cheerily. Seems like nothing gets this girl down.

Reina started to speak up, seeming more accepting of everyone’s love and affections. This made Mamoru even more happy, though she knew that for someone like Reina she’d still need as much support as Mamoru could give her. Eventually Reina would have to be able to walk on her own two feet, confidently, but until them Mamoru would lend her hand as much as it took. There was only one slight issue. ”Hey now, Aksha-san is my mom! Call me Mamoru-chan. And I’ll call you Reirei! Hmm… No, that’s not really good. But I’ll think of something!”

As Mamoru continued to snuggle with Reina she overheard Lysander’s big speech. Mamoru refrained from saying something snappy towards him, she was too busy coddling Reina. She just smirked and whispered to Reina. ”One day it’ll be you saying stuff like that. But you won’t sound as silly.”

As everyone from Class A1 were mingling and talking to each other, the class from A2 was returning to their class. They came back from their training too, many of them bandaged and wounded but still jolly. It was a large mass of students who filled into their class, many of whom were quite surprised to see the window broken. A bit of panic rose before the class president managed to calm them down and told them that she'd contact the teachers and figure out what happened. Meanwhile she made a few of the students clean the place up and quickly calmed down everyone down. "Check your things and make sure nothing was stolen. We'll figure out what happened soon enough!"

Shortly after Donny and Jett came back into their room, another person walked in and took a seat. He just took a seat and checked on his cellphone, looking around the class and listening in on what everyone was doing. Then he took out some headphones and listened to music while everyone just kept mingling. He wondered when lunch was.

ACION

Though Acion was a type of person not usually showing his true state of mind, Reina's course of action had pulled some of it out, like how she forcefully grounded him back in that fight, as a smile of genuine warmth and kindness briefly escaped the cage of emotions. To be honest, she was not the perfect type of person, the perfect hero he had been searching for. But years of philosophical experience had told him that that kind of person did not exist. Nobody is as perfect as God, even Acion himself never admitted he is perfect in terms of mentality. Reina was far from perfect. She's still pessimistic, nervous and holding some degrees of self-doubts. But the fact that she did try to overcome that, even for a brief moment, made it clear to the winged boy that she had that resolution that he had seen. Her emotions were just too honest to be false.

"I would gladly accept that offer." Acion said. Although he was the one presenting that offer to her, he shouldn't ever get himself to ask that back. It would escalate terribly fast. "Also, you can call me by my first name. Once we are friends, all are equal to me. Any sort of honorifics are ok, well suitable honorifics..."

He wouldn't want Acion-chan to be used. It would be a total insult. He believed that Reina wouldn't be such a fool in that regards, but only God knew whether he was correct. That aside, Acion was satisfied, as the smile he gave was retained as he watched all three of them cuddling each other compassionately. Well until...

His opening of true emotions were short-lived, killed off when Lysander took to the stage. Honestly...if he hadn't done that little show of his, then Acion might have had a bit of impression for his achievements, and might have befriended him. But it was because of his all-too-terrible timing to publicize what should have already been done, Acion decided against that idea. It was a bit of a shame, but perhaps he was not walking on the path he was chosen, or was too clouded to see it.

"I don't think that's what she should be saying."

At all...Not just the tone, but the words itself.

Jett Haven, Mako Akane

Akane was back at her desk. Watching Kiwi work was entertaining, but she hadn’t given her a reaction, and that was boring. She always knew what would annoy Mako the most. Akane shrugged, and went back to her tasks at hand; sorting out the paperwork for the students. Luckily, paperwork for students who got in through recommendations had been done before school started, but a lot of students, both in the Hero and Support classes, were determined today, and Mako herself had been busy this morning just getting their names, and busy during the first exercise on-site, keeping an eye on things. It was only after she had brought Lysander back, and eventually left the nurse’s office, that she finally got back to work.

Still, this would all be finished by tonight. There was one thing she had to do before the students all run off to do student things, and that was deliver Mr. Haven’s Student ID card. She had heard he was a lot like his grandfather in terms of appearance. The Frenchmen; a Hero she herself had found herself face to face with on multiple occasions, though he was not among the party who finally defeated her. Even so, he was a fine hero, and if Jett took after him, he too would be a great hero. Still, not picking up your Student ID card was a good start…

”Jett Haven,” the school’s tannoy chimed sweetly after class had ended and students began making their way out, ”Please report to the front desk to collect your Student ID card.” Nothing like a bit of public embarrassment to lift Ms. Mako’s spirits.

Jett perked up at the sound of his name. It happened just after he sat down. He instantly recognized that voice. A slight red blush appeared on the boy's face as he imagined Miss Mako saying his name like that. But even more when he realized it was because he forgot to pick up his ID card before school started.

He did notice some random kid walk in but didn't bother with it as he quickly excused himself. For two reasons. He needed to get there and back so Elvira didn't wander off again. And the second. It's Miss Mako. He got a chance to finally see her, but he also knew she had a fiery temper at times. He didn't want to be on her bad side. After bolting out of the classroom, he ran down the hall to the stairs.

Weaving and dodging between the flood of students moving about. Flowing through them like a swift stream. As he came to the stairs which was blocked completely by students walking up. He didn't even hesitate in his steps as he vaulted the third story landing, reaching out he grabbed the window frame and his feet slamming into the side frames and just as quick as he grabbed he pushed off and landed on the second landing. Spinning around he then jumped onto the railing and slid down to the ground floor. Falling into into a full sprint. He suddenly realized he sprinted by Kasuke but he couldn't stop to chat.

There was another clog in the halls and Jett moved to the left side of the hall and ran up the wall with three steps and pushing off and diving over the students. As he cleared them he rolled to his feet just before reaching the corner to the front desk.

He slid to a stop at the corner that would lead to the front desk, just stopping just outside it so it looked like he was walking the entire time.

That's when he saw her. His brain shut down for a minute as his mouth was slightly open. Miss Mako was certainly one of the top most beautiful women in his book. He had a crush on her ever since she started out. Even had a thought to turn to a life of crime so he could meet her and not have to capture her.

He shook his head and straightened his coat and sleeves before walking slowly towards her. Normally Jett had no issues talking to the beautiful girls in his class or on the street. But now… his legs were shaking and he kept wiping his hand on his pants because they felt clammy.

Come on man pull yourself together! Jett thought as he came to a stop in front of her desk. “G-good morning… I mean afternoon, Miss, Mako…”Jett said in a slightly nervous tone. He chuckled a bit and scratched the back of his head.idiot, way to be smooth jackass. he thought to himself.

Mako didn’t really think this odd, though was surprised that the grandson of The Frenchman would be awkward. Then again, he might have been with friends or trying to pick up girls when she very publicly told everyone he’d forgotten his ID Card. Speaking of, she held the card up in her hand, and smiled.

”Good afternoon, Jett. I believe you didn’t pick this up this morning, and you came in over the wall instead of through the entrance.” It didn’t sound like she was chastising, reprimanding or even judging him for that. In fact, she seemed slightly impressed.

Jett flushed even more when she spoke to him. Even more so when she mentioned him jumping over the wall. Did she see him do that personally? He thought he might get in trouble for a stunt like that, but she seemed impressed? Did he just impress miss mako?

He straightened his shoulders and smiled a little more genuine than a nervous one. “Yeah… sorry bout that.” His speech somewhat improving. “Didn't want to be late for class… obviously. And going through the gate just looked like a pain. “

He looked at her, God she had a beautiful smile… and here he was just looking like an idiot. “Didn't mean to add more work for you Miss. Mako. “

”It’s nothing, really. The rest of my work isn’t going to pile up much if I put it off for a moment. Say, you’re the Frenchman’s grandson, aren’t you? Why didn’t you get in on recommendations?” Mako asked, already knowing the answer. It was the same answer for every second/third generation Hero who chose to apply normally.

Jett nodded, “I am. Not a lot of people catch that really. Despite us looking alike. My grandfather said he could get me in, but he also taught me the meaning of hard work and the rewards that reap from it as well. I know that through my own efforts I would get a more rewarding Experience as well. And distance myself from his name somewhat. “

But then he finally worked up the courage. “But one of the main reasons I came to this school… was to meet you Miss. Mako!” He paused for a moment as his skin turned red. “I've always been a big fan of you since your career… and I was wondering… could I get your autograph?”

Mako nodded at the answer he gave. It was the reason she expected. Worded differently, of course, but they all gave the same basic answer in the end. What caught her off guard was the admission that he was a fan and wanted her autograph!

”Oh, sure! I don’t have many fans, especially Heroes, so to meet one is rare indeed. What would you like me to sign? Oh, wait. I have an idea!”

She opened her desk, and pulled out her iphone, adorned with a cute panda charm, and a mask. THE mask. Madame Obsidian’s mask, which she put on and finally opened her golden eyes as she leaned over, and lifted the phone high, shouting ”Selfie!” before taking a picture. She took the mask back off and closed her eyes again, smiling. ”I’ll email you that pic later. she chimed. Having a fan had put her in a very good mood.

Jett was elated when she agreed to give him an autograph. As he was searching for something ANYTHING for her to sign...she said she had an Idea. He looked to her as she pulled out her old mask. Putting it on and all Jett could think was No way… this is too awesome! When she opened her eyes though. His heart skipped a beat, it flatlined when she leaned over next to him to take the selfie. Luckily he had a big smile on his face and looked at the camera in time to hopefully not look like a complete dufus in front of her. She also smelt fantastic…

He was on cloud nine now. He just got a picture with Miss Mako. He couldn’t stop smiling, as he nodded, understanding that he would get the picture later. “Thank you so much Miss Mako.” He picked up his ID card from her desk, putting it directly into his pocket “I’m glad I forgot it in the first place. Day cant get better than this!”

”Just don’t make a habit of it,” Mako laughed, before tearing a page out of a notebook and signing it, handing that over to Jett as well, but when he went to take it, she grabbed his arm, and her whole tone changed. Her eyes were open once again, but she wasn’t smiling. ”I hope your days of looking up to villains are over, however. This is a Hero school, and those with villainous motives or tendencies will be expelled after two warnings. This isn’t your first warning. This is just me giving you some friendly advice.”

She let go of his arm, and smiled again, her eyes close and her voice sweet once more. ”Okay?”

He nodded and smiled even more when she offered the paper to him. He nearly jumped out of his skin though as she snatched his arm, opening her eyes, even though they were the same breathtaking golden eyes they had an all new look in them. Her tone much more serious. She gave him her advice for not looking up to villains anymore and it will not be tolerated here.

He gulped, his eyes wide. This was the one who his grandfather mentioned he squared off with. He didn't believe totally, he heard the stories but she had seemed so sweet just a moment ago. Now he was firm in his knowledge that you don't mess with Ms. Mako… with that and let go of his arm. Suddenly changing once again into the sweet smiling Ms. Mako.

Quickly he nodded. “Yes of course ma’am.” His back straight as if standing wrong was reason for warning. He didn't leave though… incase she wanted to add something.

She went back to her paperwork for a few seconds before looking up at Jett again. ”Hey, don’t let me keep you from being a teenager. Go do stuff, and talk to people. Unless there’s anything else you’d like to ask me.”

He thought for a second… he did have one question he was dying to know… as well as the rest of the world. “Well…. I do have one question. Why did you decide to work at a hero school? I mean I know you said to the press you were turning over a new leaf, and I am glad you did and are now here! But why here? I mean you don't have to answer that if you don't want to of course.” He said while bowing his head slightly.

Mako sat back in her chair and thought. ”I wouldn’t say I decided. Well, I mean technically I did choose to, but it wasn’t part of any long-term plan. After my prison sentence started, I had a lot of time to think, and I realised that in my six month villain career I’d done everything. I’d robbed from the most secure places in the world, and fought countless Heroes in the process, escaping every time. Granted, there’d be new heroes once I got out, but if I started a new crime spree, it would be treading the same ground at best. The disappointing sequel, if you will. I wanted to find new ways to challenge myself. So I decided to use my high school qualifications, and celebrity status, to train to be a secretary. Part of that was admittedly for the shock factor of a Supervillain of my caliber choosing so mundane a career path. That was fun. Anyway, the moment I graduated and started looking for work, this academy actually approached me, and I was given the job on the spot after two interviews, though they kept a very close eye on me in the first year. I think it sweetened the deal that as well as bookkeeping and paperwork, I can actually give students experience and insight into villains; how they think, how they fight, etc.”

Jett nodded his head while listening to her. It made sense, mostly... to him. Doing the same thing over again after doing everything can be boring. But she was so talented with her quirk, and all she did now was push papers around he understood the reasoning for the shock factor. Yeah sure it's going to be interesting to hear her point of view on how villains behave, and that she turned over a new leaf by not going back to being a thief was amazing as well. A true step into a better chapter.

“Thanks for indulging me Ms. Mako. I'm glad you decided to do that. I'm sure it's not as exciting as your previous carrier. But a beautiful smile like yours doesn't belong behind bars! “ smiling with a flush on his face.

“If you ever get bored with this, you should try being a hero! I imagine you would be amazing at that as well!”

”Oh, my,” she grinned, chuckling. ”I hope you don’t grow up to break hearts with a silver tongue like that. As for being a hero,” she waved away with her hand, ”Living selflessly and in the spirit of self-sacrifice would not suit me. I don’t keep it a secret that I don’t feel the slightest bit guilty for anything I’ve done. I’m not a good person by any means, but I can’t deny that there is something gratifying in making other people better instead.”

Jett smiled as he scratched the back of his head. He couldn't believe he was actually having a conversation with Ms Mako, Madame Obsidian. And she was saying he had a silver tongue?! He must be dreaming… no she I was just being nice to him. Yeah that had to be it. Even so this day was awesome.

Suddenly he felt someone walk up behind him. Looking back… then up. He saw his grandfather looking… well past him, but he knew he was looking at him. “Jetty, you shouldn't be bothering Lady Mako while she is trying to work.” He said in a sigh.

Jett winced at his nickname. Not in front of Miss Mako!! Whining silently to himself he nodded. He looked back to Miss Mako and said “Have a lovely day Miss Mako.”

”Have a lovely day yourself, Jetty,” she chuckled, before catching Jais’ eye and nodding, her own golden eyes opening slightly. She smirked a little as she did so. Any hope they ever have of seeing eye to eye, Mako always crushed with the attitude she displays around Jais that screams “You can’t arrest me here. I’m a good little girl now. Nyeeh!” She may as well stick her tongue out at him.

Jais looked at Miss Mako’s smug look. She was one of the few that managed to escape him multiple times, which was impressive with his quirk. He would never of course tell her that. He was glad to see she changed her life, but that was always in the back of his head.

Jais smiled and closed his eyes. Bowing his head slightly. He still was going to try and be nice. Besides, embarrassing Jett a little more would be good for him. “You know Lady Mako, When Jett was 10 he stole a car in hopes of meeting you.”

Mako’s response to this was to laugh out loud, before composing himself enough to be able to answer. ”He stole a car? That’s actually impressive, in all seriousness. I couldn’t do that when I was 10. I couldn’t even drive until I was 19. It’s a good job we got him to a Hero school quick because I think he’d make a great villain. Too great. I humbly apologize for inadvertently being a bad influence.”

Jais only smiled, she apologised for being a bad influence? Perhaps there was true progress. “He did, he was a handful during that time… still is. kid has the ability to do anything when he manages to his mind to it. I'm just glad he got it out of his system when he was young. “ He said while looking to her again. She was indeed fun to talk to. He could see why Jett was fascinated with her.

“Also don't worry, I think it was actually good for him, it really helped him find who he really is. If anything you helped him turn into the young man he is today.”

Despite her best efforts, Reina had still seemed sad, so Fumika had lapsed into silence. What else could she even say, if not even Haruka's words could make her happy? Not even hugging her had seemed to cheer her up much... Reina still looked like she wanted to cry. Once again, the problem must have been on her end. If she was only better at communication, then maybe, she'd have known what she could do. Fumika's antenna drooped once again, and she watched without speaking another word. And yet, even though Reina had slipped partially away from her, she was still clinging gently but firmly to Reina's arm. Even though it didn't seem to help... This really was all she could do.

And yet, as Reina continued, Fumika was met with yet another surprise. Even though she was apologizing for something which Fumika didn't really understand, she said she wanted to be friends. This was the third time today someone had become her friend. It didn't make sense... Haruka wasn't telling her what to do, so she shouldn't have been doing so well. It wasn't possible for someone like her to choose the right answer on her own, so she shouldn't have been able to... She didn't know how to talk to people. She hadn't even known how to make Reina not sad anymore. She was just an observer, no matter how hard she tried to communicate.

So why was everyone treating her so kindly? Why did people want to talk to someone like her? It didn't make sense... but at the same time, it made her happy. She'd only ever had one friend before, so she was worried that she'd make a mistake, but right now, that didn't really factor into her answer, because the moment Reina said those words, Fumika immediately agreed.

"I want to make friends, too," She said quietly, giving a nod that was only slightly less enthusiastic compared to her normal sleepy demeanor than the speech she'd recited a moment prior. "Reina is a nice person, and is really cool, so I really want to make friends with her." Once again, it wasn't really clear whether she was talking to herself, to the others present, or to Reina, but regardless, she seemed excited about the whole prospect. "Let's be friends, then." Reaching down, her arms still wrapped around Reina's, she awkwardly tried to shake her hand without not hugging her. Unfortunately, she couldn't quite reach, because her forearms seemed to be stuck. She gave them a couple of experimental tugs, but couldn't get them free.

...Oh well. Reina was a very huggable person, so it was probably fine.

It was still bright and early in the city of Hosu. Despite that however, villainy never rests. Between the hustle and bustle of everyone getting to work, in the dark corners of the city villains were also getting busy. One particular alleyway had the misfortune of being a shortcut for a couple of middle schoolers. They were rich kids going to a private school, always flaunting their parent’s wealth around malls and arcades. Well someone took notice of all their big talk and decided to knock them down a peg. A tall boy in a gasmask cornered two snot-nosed kids in the alleyway. They made a lot of talk about how their quirks could defeat him, but all he had to do was take out his crowbar and the two were quick to back down.

“Little shits like you… Are what’s wrong with today’s world. You’re in desperate need of some life lessons. So listen up.”

The boy smashed his crowbar against the wall, causing the brick and mortar to crack and break. It certainly intimidated the two kids. “Money… Family… Shit like that doesn’t matter. Just power. And if you think you’re powerful, you got another thing coming. So come on… Use those quirks of yours. Let’s see if you’ve got what it takes to make it in this world!” The villain charged at the two kids as he was about to smash their heads open.

Kaida was worried...the school was this way right? Oh she was going to be late for sure. She groaned inwardly as she looked at her Gps on her phone, then looked to the schools address. Did she type it in wrong? She looked up as a tall masked boy started yelling at some other kids. Smashing his crowbar against the wall. Egging the kids on as he suddenly charged them. “Arrête ça!” She yelled in her native tongue. It was supposed to be ‘stop that’. She knew Japanese, she was a quick learner. But speaking it constantly was still something new for her.

She ran up between the three and put her arms out wide. She glared at the boy in front of her. “Pourquoi sont …” She paused. Realizing she was speaking French. “Why are you...being such an ass? What did these two do to you?” despite her soft voice, her tone was strong a defiant as someone twice her size. She didn’t want to fight this guy right now. She still had to get to school. Hopefully he would listen to reason and just leave.

“What did they do? Nothing. Nothing at all. They’ve done nothing, and deserve nothing. If they want to keep their lives, then they can fight for it!” The tall boy didn’t slow down as he swung his iron bar right at Kaida’s face. Not even a moment of hesitation; he was out for blood.

Nearby, Luelle walked, her suitcase dragging behind her. She was following a map her father provided for her of the town and was trying to find her way to the academy. Pursing her lips together she stopped and sighed. Picking up some noises down an alleyway, she ran for it, her boots making light thumps on the ground. Seeing what was happening, she gasped.

“Hey! Leave those kids alone!” Luelle said.

Kaida’s eyes narrowed dangerously when the boy tried to swing at her. She twisted her head out of the way slightly as it swung by her head, she then balled her hands into a fist and punched at him with a quick left jab at his chin and followed up with reaching forward with her right hand and grabbing his shoulder, then raising her knee she kneed him in the gut. This was when she heard another girl yell out.

Luelle approached cautiously, her hands lighting up like a candle. Her right eye was surrounded by the same color flame, a beautiful blue color. She never been in a situation like this, so she had no idea what to do about this, but she knew she couldn't just let this continue.

The tallboy staggered back from the girl. She was much stronger than she looked. Another girl showed up behind, trapping him in this alleyway. However this didn’t seem to bother him. No, instead he seemed quite glad. “Good… Good! That’s right! Fight for what you believe in! No one will give it to you!” The kid then pulled out a small lead pipe from underneath his hoodie as he raised his mask over his face. Suddenly from his mouth the entire alleyway filled with a thick, choking smog, practically blinding everyone caught inside. The girls would have only a few precious seconds before the smoke got to them, and for Kaida, she still had two middle schoolers behind her who were cowering in fear.

Luelle immediately covered her nose and mouth with her free hand in an attempt to block out the smog. She inched her way close and swung her downward at an angle sending flames towards the boy. Most would expect the flames to be hot, as the blue flame was the hottest flame, according to science, but when the flames would touch the boy, it was the exact opposite. The flames felt like the coldest water ever.

Kaida looked behind her to see the boys cowering, not looking towards her. She then looked back to see the new girl shoot flames from her hand. But she could tell...they weren’t normal flames. Blue fire would have been most welcoming to her. She could feel the heat...but not this fire. There was a lack of heat and it greatly disturbed her. But that wasn’t the point now as she held her breath and closed her eyes.

Big black menacing wings sprouted from her back, but oddly did not tear through her clothes. Not that they would notice. Snapping open for a second before flaping a few times towards the smog. It took a moment but the smog was pushed back. Enough to keep the others safe. But she dove forward with one great push of her wings and aimed a punch at the boy, after he would have been struck by the lack of heat fire.

The boy was shocked and surprised to feel cold flames. When he had spied Luelle behind him he was ready to get burned, but not chilled. Still it didn’t stop him, though it certainly slowed him down. The moment Luelle entered his smoke he charged right at her, his crowbar poised to smash her between the eyes. But it was at that same time that Kaida’s wings blew most of his smog away even as it continued to leak out from his mouth. This would give Luelle just a moment to see him come at her, and for Kaida she’d notice that he now turned towards her. What she’d also notice was that he had something else in his hand; a pipe bomb.

And with a flick of his thumb, the explosive was armed and ready to explode. “Moment’s like this is what we live for!”

Luelle gasped when she saw the boy rush at her with his crowbar and jumped to clear from his path grunting as she smacked her arm on the ground. That hurt. She looked and her bi colored eyes, which were back to their normal colors, widened when she saw a pipe bomb in his other hand. She stood in a hurry, stumbling a little bit as the bomb went from dormant to armed.

‘I need to find a way to freeze that bomb before it blows us to pieces!’ Luelle thought frantically.

Kaida was in mid swing when she noticed the pipe bomb in his hand. This man was insane! Her fist was still aimed at the man's face as she hit him squarely in the jaw. She had no way to stop herself. Her eyes flicked to the pipe bomb in horror.

Everything happened all at once. Kaida’s strike was true, hitting the man square in the mouth and breaking a few teeth. Surprisingly however, this didn’t knock him out as he returned with his own swing, slamming the crowbar towards her face. As for the pipe bomb, the moment he was struck he did loose his grip on it as it fell towards the ground near Luelle. But he didn’t care too much; all that mattered was the thrill of the fight and what it meant to get away from it alive. More foul smog leaked from his near broken teeth and was starting to fill the area. The pipe bomb began to tick even faster as the countdown was coming closer to zero.

As Kaida was closest to him, she’d get a faceful of the poisonous cloud, burning her eyes and nose with its foul stench.

Seeing the bomb get dropped near her, Luelle literally lunged for it landing hard on the ground once again, she winced. Her poor chest was going to be sore later. She grabbed it and about panicked when the countdown because to move faster, but she took a deep breath. Now was not the time for that. She needed to concentrate.

Closing her eyes and her eye lighting up again, she slowly snaked her flame to surround the little pipe bomb. There was a small bit of heat coming off is flame unlike her first one. Seeing that she would be unable to take out the bomb before it exploded, she manipulated the flames to create like a small vacuum seal from the inside, trapping the expecting explosion.

Sweat dripped from her forehead, she never done something like this and it was a bit harder to control, but if she could keep the explosion down to the minimum, everyone would be safe.

Kaida grunted as she noticed the bar coming towards her face. She manipulated her face enough to reveal her true skin. Black scales covered half of her face. The bar hit side of the face but glanced off. Poison burned her eyes and nose now. Growling in a much deeper tone, she grabbed the boy by the neck and forced her eyes open. He would now be looking down at gold eyes that were slitted just like a snake. Deep anger seemed to seep into the air as she tightened her grip on his neck a few seconds before throwing him hard into a nearby dumpster.

“The bomb!” She coughed as he throat burned.

Luelle, feeling her strength wavering a bit, decided that she couldn't hold on enough to her makeshift vacuum. She began to lower the temperature of the flame easily, the flame freezing the bomb until it was completely encased in thick, unnatural, blue ice. Throwing it away from her; Luelle panted and leaned against the brick of the building near her.

“There, the bomb...is....deactivated” she panted out her power vanishing and her eyes clenched closed as she tried to regain her strength.

The villain was tossed into the dumpster, suffering from multiple broken teeth and a shattered rib. But still alive. He tried to get up but his stamina was just running out. A solid blow to the face, his neck severely damaged, and at least one broken rib, and the evil doer was out cold. His pipebomb rendered inert thanks to Luelle’s cold flames. The smog rose to the sky without the villain controlling it, and soon the two middle schoolers called the police about what had happened. It wasn’t long before two officers arrived to the scene.

After the police arrived, they captured the villain, removing all weapons from him including four more pipe bombs. The middle schoolers were sent back to their homes while the two heroes-in-training were asked to stay behind to confirm the events of the attack. An officer who looked like a large monkey was taking notes. “First, allow me to thank you two for your efforts. While the law does not condone vigilante activities, nor for others to use quirks to harm others, in a situation like this where the lives of innocent people are on the line we thank you for the sacrifices you’re willing to take. You are not in trouble, however we will need your names for our records.”

As soon as Kaida heard more footsteps she quickly hid her scales and wings again with her shapeshifting ability. Looking once again like a normal person. She listened to the officer and sighed. She was definitely going to be late now… She nodded before saying “je m'appel…” Sighing once more. “My name is Kaida Beaumont… I really need to get to school officer. I’m going to be late for my first day…” She said softly, her hands folded in front of her.

Luelle stood and looked at the police officers. She leaned against the wall and shook her head. “My name is Luelle Haily. I agree with my friend here. We really need to get to school. I would hate to be late at a time like this.” she turned to the middle schoolers.

“Please careful. There are more people like him out there and they are extremely dangerous ok?” She said in a soft but kinda scolding voice.

The officer nodded his head. “Alright. Just a few more questions and you're free to go.” Sure enough after the two girls finished their questions they were released. The officers gave them a ride to Komei and gave both of them slips to excuse their tardiness due to villainous interference. The police officers left out what exactly Luelle and Kaida did, but the note did mention that they cooperated with police and they were thankful for their bravery. Currently, there was no one outside to meet the two girls, leaving them to their own devices once they got inside the school gates.

Kaida was quiet the entire ride from the place they fought to the school. Her vision was to the outside as she watched the people walk by. Her hands wrung themselves in her school uniform skirt. She didn’t know what to say to...Luelle? Luelle Haily, Was that what she called herself? She called her a friend? Really? She just met her! That doesn’t make sense. Words were stuck in her mouth. She tried this many times on her trip to Japan. Try to start a conversation, but it always turned into this. This awkward silence that enveloped her and made her nervous and shy.

What’s more, she was about to go to school… she never went to school. EVER. She was privately tutored, and didn’t even know how to make new friends really. She gripped Jeans...no her sword’s pommel and held it tight to her to comfort herself as she got even more nervous. What would the other kids think of her? Would she be weird? Would she say something stupid and lose their respect? Her Japanese was good...but she still would say the wrong words, or revert to French.
She knew she was accepted into the school...but if she met The Frenchman...would he look at her, realize who she was and be on guard? She never heard of any villain’s children attending a hero school.

Sighing, she started to regret her decision to come here. It was stupid. Once they figure out who she is...or what she was...nobody would want to talk to her. Nobody wanted to talk to her after they found out she was Draco Beaumont’s daughter back home.

Once there, the officer gave them some slips explaining their reason for being so late. That should help them right? But now she was standing at the front gate with Luelle. Pinching her lip and chin as she looked away for a moment before finally saying…”Um...thank you...for your help earlier.” She said softly like a mouse. She could have seen her transform, and she didn’t know what she would think about that.

Roy Kusayanagi
Ezra Jasekade

Ezra was quite surprised to how the blonde boy had taken his words, yet he was glad that he had taken the way that he had. It seemed that he didn’t mind learning from Ezra, and Ezra didn’t exactly mind being a teacher. If he was in the boy's position, he’d want to learn from somebody like him as well likely, or at least someone who seemed as strong as him like Kenichi or Jett. He let out a smile ad Roy stated the obvious facts in this equation.

He then surprised Ezra once more however, when he spoke about not wanting Ezra to feel sorry for him. He had no qualms about that, nor would he ever go easy on an opponent. He always saw it as disrespectful, regardless if they’re injured or not. He wasn’t sure if he was strong enough to fight at the same intensity that he had battled Roy at previously, but he was sure as hell going to tell if that’s what he wanted.

After this, he stated that the two of them were merely students chasing their dreams. He didn’t exactly agree with that statement, but he didn’t exactly feel like speaking against it. Ezra didn’t really have any dreams, in quite a strange sense. He had already been blessed with everything nature could give him, quite possibly one of the luckiest genetic combinations on the planet, as he had been gifted with everything that he had needed to do anything that he ever wanted. Even his quirk was a ridiculously lucky lottery grab. If anything, his only wish was to become the strongest, and that was more of a goal for him.

It seemed to Ezra that Roy wanted to know about him. It put him on edge, especially given as Ezra didn’t particularly enjoy opening up to other people. It wasn’t something that he really enjoyed doing, but if he was going to have his student here, he figured it was better that they have a mutual understanding of each other, so he didn’t see any harm in telling him where he was from and some minor details. He’d just have to leave out anything he didn’t want anyone to hear. However, he figured he could tell him another time and weasel out of this conversation, given as he would have preferred to speak later.

“I’ve had a interesting time on this planet, but I’ll tell ya when we next speak again. I’m gonna get ya a workout regime as well, ya really need to get that fitness up and put some muscle on ya bones.” he spoke with a grin, as he watched Roy play with some sort of toy in his hand. Wasn’t one that he was familiar with, most of the kids in his neighborhood didn’t mess around with kiddie toys, they preferred to play cards or anything that made them look more mature.

“Ya wanna walk back to the dorms? We can talk on the way, I wanna hear more about ya quirk.” he spoke, genuinely interested to see what this kid could do with it. It seemed absurdly strong, as many quirks that held those type of abilities tended to be the strongest. It was in his interest to learn about his quirk so that he could mold his training regimen about it.

Roy smirked as the guy put his question off for another time, was he hiding something maybe? Well whatever it is if he hung out enough with the boy it will come into the light. He told Roy he was gonna need a workout regime, the blonde boy raised an eyebrow. Was he planning on making Roy as buff as himself?

Ezra then offered to walk back to the dorms and learn more about the boys quirk. Roy had no problem with explaining his quirk a little more in depth, even though if he ever faced off against him.

“A training regime huh, you’re not afraid if I get as big as you I will pose a bigger threat huh?” He said teasing the boy. “Sure let's go, I'll tell you more about it.” He stopped twirling the fidget spinner as he began his demonstration as he walked out the classroom with the boy, “i'll start from the beginning, my quirk is called photosynthesis.” He took off his school uniform jacket revealing his sleeves. It look like black tribal tattoos all over his arms.

“When my markings are exposed to sunlight my body absorbs the energy and stores it. As long as I have energy I can make constructs or just concentrate the raw energy and shoot it raw.”

He said as he put his arm out and concentrated. The markings going from black to yellow as a riot shield appeared, “When I was fighting Mina she could shoot some kind of laser. It seems like my solar energy can deflect lasers of the sort” he smirked as the shield dissipated.

“The bigger and more complex the construct , the more energy it takes to manifest it. More power I have the stronger my constructs, anything I can think of I can make.” He held his hand out and started creating stuff, pencils, scissors, then the chain from earlier.

“I store too much energy though and my body temperature rises high, that's why when I touched Jett earlier he brushed off his shoulder. My hand was about 120 degrees Fahrenheit.” He said erasing all the constructs.

“any questions?” He said thinking he covered most of it.

Ezra grinned a little. This would be an absurdly powerful quirk, if he learned how to use it properly. He still thought his was stronger for combat purposes, but this would be ridiculous in the hero business. The versatility of it would be absurd, especially considering` the wide range of constructs that he could create with it. The whole heat thing might be a problem, but that’s something that can easily be overcome by adequate training.

Ezra still had plenty of questions in regard to the quirk. He wanted to know whether the pens were able to actually write, whether the solar energy could block attacks, whether he could coat himself with it, he had a number of questions in this regard. If he could cover himself in that solar energy, and protect himself with it, it’d be an extremely powerful defensive tool given the lack of weight to it.

“Well I guess imma start my questions. Firstly, does the pen work? Second, how strong is ya material? Could it block a punch from Jett? Could it block one from me? Thirdly, can ya cover ya self in it, or is it too hot? Cause ya could use it as a blanket to block attacks if not.” Ezra spoke, already thinking of ways that this quirk could be used.

“Nah, I can't write with the pen since the material doesn’t change. I'm pretty sure if I put it to paper it wouldn't react well since the construct is hot. Though when I'm low on energy my constructs aren't as hot.” He said answering the first question.

“The material I’d say can block anything that can’t break through Iron, at around 50% energy i’d say it's about as tough as steel. Anything higher I have no clue since 60% is when I start feeling the heat. So yeah it could block a basic punch from Jett, I was able to do some damage to Mina and when I wrapped the chains around Lysander it was firm and stable like Iron chains. A hit from you most likely, though if you activate your quirk I'm pretty sure you can break through any construct under 50% energy.” Roy scratched his chin.

“The last question I can cover myself in it, a full body suit though I wouldn’t be able to keep up for more than a minute. It isn't too hot time but to someone else probably.” He put his hands on each side of his head and constructed a helmet like magneto's from X-men. “Maybe if I train I can control the amount of energy I can output into a construct” he said folding his arms, if he tried to save someone he could probably suffer material strength for versatility and lower the constructs temperature to one others can tolerate.

“If you wanna see if you can brake it we can give it a shot” he said shrugging.

Ezra grinned. It wasn’t often people volunteered to let them punch him, well this wasn’t literally volunteering, but he wasn’t opposed to it. He was quite curious to see how strong the material was, but he also wanted to see how well Roy would be able to handle the force from one of his punches. He figured that this was the best way to figure it out.

“We can do two trials, or do ya wanna just try it with my quirk. Make a piece of armor that isn’t ya head, and I’ll go for it.” he spoke in a calm tone despite his inner feelings of excitement.

Roy smirked, he stopped walking and erased the helmet, he loosened up a bit before preparing. “Go ahead and try your best shot, though in pretty sure you will shatter it, if not crack it” he said as he got into a stance and held out his hands. Making a solar construct slab that was about 3 inches thick.

“I am about 30% energy so it should be about as hard as Iron” he said with a smirk. “Alright I am ready, go ahead” he said as he focused on keeping the construct up.

Ezra let out a breath of air. He’d bent iron quite easily before, he didn’t have to use his quirk to bend it, but he was aiming to shatter it and test the full strength. He began to load his ar back, as he readied his punch. Putting a reasonable amount of his quirk into a punch, he accelerated it moderately, around the amount he felt necessary to destroy the construct completely into the punch as he let it fly toward the bright construct.

Roy felt the impact, trying his best to brace against it but at his current energy level it was no use. The construct shattered into pieces before turning it light particles and vanishing. The boy slid a couple feet in the hallway from the force that was generated

“As expected, It would suffice against any normal punch but your attacks gain a huge boost when it hits something” he said with a grin. “What's the strongest material you were able to punch through?” He ask fixing his posture.

Ezra waved his hand around after punching it. It was as hard as he said it would be, though lacking the structural integrity of the actual material as iron wouldn’t have shattered. It did hurt a bit to punch, but the destruction of the construct prevented that from lasting long as he returned the smile as he was asked a rather interesting question. It wasn’t one that he’d been questioned on before.

“Hmm. I dunno mate. I can probably punch through anythin’ ya could probably think of, but it’d probably hurt. I just haven’t had the chance ta try anythin’ out so far.” he spoke, legitimately thinking for once in his life. He hadn’t experienced anything he hadn’t been able to punch through in terms of material. Many strong people had been able to riposte a badly timed or poorly placed punch from him though.

“Anything I can think of, that's a lot of stuff you can break through, it probably would be better in the long to avoid those hits than trying to block them” he said. It made him begin thinking, if his constructs are as hard as steel at 50 percent, how hard will it be at 100%?

“You never wanted to test your limits? You only used your quirk for speed and to break that slab during the exercise. Do you chose not to use it if you don't have too?” He asked hitting the nose of his shoe on the ground to fix his foots positioning.

“My quirk places strain on my energy reserves. I use an amount of energy that would be required for me to perform that action normally, so me using my quirk essentially halves the amount of time that I can fight, or even reduces it by a third. It’s always better to keep your weapons hidden for that matter as well, and if you can’t fight without your quirk, you’re nothing. That’s a lesson I learnt early.” he spoke, trying to put some emphasis behind his words.

He continued to walk, but at a slower pace. He did this so that Roy could catch up to him.

Roy turned and walk to catch up to Ezra, hands in his pockets. “I had to find that out for the first time today. The hard way” he said as he rubbed the spot that was kicked.

“That's something else, my quirk could be something awesome but having it alone with no other abilities leaves it at a low ceiling. Being at level one there is so many things that needs work” he said as squeezed his hand before putting a fist to his chest.

“I'm just happy to be here right now is all” He said with a smirk.

Ezra looked at the kid with a slight curiosity. Part of the vibe that he got from him was contention with mediocrity, whilst the other feeling he got was something of a desire to get better. They seemed to switch interchangeably, and he couldn’t quite understand why. Perhaps he merely wanted to improve for the sake of improving rather than becoming better than others, and being in the academy was the important thing to him. He could understand that, given as the boy wasn’t particularly special in combat given his inexperience

“Ya need to fight more. That’s most of it. Ya don’t know how to fight yet, or how you fight to be fair. Once ya get experience or some sort of idea of how ya gonna do it, I think it should go rosy. A lot of these kids in this class know martial arts and other fancy ponce shit like that, and that shit takes years to learn, but learning the best of each is the best way to become stronger as fast as ya wanna. When ya go back to dorms today, go watch some fight videos on youtube on martial art techniques, see what they do, why they do it, what makes it effective. Incorporate it into ya own style, and use it. Eating from one source of food makes ya weak, but if you eat everywhere and everything, ya get all the minerals and shit like that, and you grow big n’ strong. What I’m tryna say, without the shitty analogy, is that it isn’t ya ceiling that you need to worry bout’. It’s ya floor. Ya have zero fundamentals. A trained monkey could beat ya in a fist fight right now, so ya need to go and learn some sort of fighting style to make ya own, whatever that is.” Ezra spoke, as he continued to walk with Roy following, taking small breaks as he spoke. He thought he was a pretty fuckin’ good teacher.

Roy laughed at Ezras joke, “Yeah you're right I suppose, I plan on being at the top of our class or at least by the end of the semester. Sounds like a pipe dream right now but being at a top school I can learn all the right things from the teachers and even steal some of your guys moves too” He said with a smile.

Regular classes(Small time skip)

The bell rang signaling class change for the students, just like any other school Komei also provides the basic classes like Math, Language Arts, history, and science. class 1-A would be taught be ishiin Ueda, a newcomer to Komei. A couple of students may have recognized him from being the obstacle in the left wing. Though he didn't seem like much of an obstacle he is extremely effective in the classroom with the ability to do 1 on 1 sessions simultaneously with the students. After finishing with the general classes it was about 1 when the bell rang to signal Class 1-A to pack up and go to lunch.

Lunchroom

The Lunchroom was large and offered exceptional cafeteria food that most students might not be used too, the food was also on the healthy side. There was a veriety of choices for one to eat from multiple regions of the world. There was even option to dine outside.

Jais Haven
Aurelia Nakamiji
Acion Nakamiji

The sky over the city was uneventful, as always. Small glimpses of white steam lingered into cottons of cloud, decorating the ever-growing eternal blue. Ever since the dawn of the hero group Sky Knight, never once a villain dared to taint the beautiful blue with such unmatchable shades of evil. The sky was now the most merciful place in this prosperous city. A place where no harms could be done. A true heaven

”Ok guys, please continue your patrol as usual. I...have a little bit of an errand that I have to run.”

“Ok boss.” A member of the Sky Knight, who was levitating on his own, and was holding a short sword, answered. “But do you mind if I ask. What sort of errand? Is it somewhat related to that box you’re carrying?”

The beautiful silver haired lady, the sky’s defender, the leader of Sky Knight, Aurelia Nakamiji sighed slightly, her lips curved upwards into a small smile, her eyes turning down to the item she carried, remembering that little promise she made with him.

”It’s for my stupid little brother.”

She gave one final salute to the group, as she turned around her longitudinal axis and began diving, using the same movements she used when in combat. But her movements were more relaxed, and more excessive, having more unnecessary movement. Before the momentum brought her crashing onto something, her grace in aerobatic maneuvers brought her to a stable position, as she continued her trip down the road towards Komei, her former school.

The winged lady soon ascended, getting past the height of the gate, did a mid-air roll and landed softly on the tip of her toe, her hands still gripped tightly onto the box. For a brief moment, she was engulfed in that wonderful but bitter feelings of nostalgia. This used to be her school, a place where she could call her second home, where she was most welcomed. Her teachers loved her, her friends adored her, it was heaven. Now...it was all a thing of the past. Her friends all graduated, most of them were all consumed by their daily lives earning for a living fighting against treacherous villains. Some even lost their lives in the process. Aurelia wouldn’t want to be reminded of it. Aside from delivering this box to her brother, Acion Nakamiji, she also took this time to remember those dear memories that she made during her years here. She wondered if the teachers still remembered her, especially her favorite, the one she could call her second father, the Frenchman, Jais.

Almost by instinct, due to years of repetition, she headed for the front entrance to the school’s block. But this time, she was blocked by a very large and very well-built figure, wearing black sunglasses.

”Excuse me lady, you are not permitted to enter unless you state your identification.”

Aurelia was dumbfounded by his statement.

What?

He did not know her?!

Come on, she’s the famous Sky Defender! And she used to be a student of this school!

”Uhh, Sarge...Don’t you remember me? I’ve talked with you once!”

He remained unconvinced.

Oh dear…

Now this is a problem.

She was in a hurry this morning, so she forgot to bring her ID card. Oh dear, oh dear…

The girl tried searching her wallet for it, but it was not there. Double-checked, but to no avail. But there was her old student ID card, which although was totally useless with the door, still had her face, her date of birth and her old class printed on the card. Hopefully this would be ok?

She handed him the card. Sarge looked at it for a few moments, and then....

”I’m sorry but this-” He said as he turned to her...But she wasn’t there. Quickly turning to the gate, he was baffled that she was already way inside. Aurelia had calculated the possibility of him not approving the card, so she quietly slipped through him when he was busy reading the card.

”Just give me a few minutes! I meant no harm to the school!”

At first, Sarge tried to use his chain quirk to subdue her, but after a brief look at the card again, he finally realized who she was...Man, she was still the same, after all these years.
The girl, after escaping Sarge’s grasp, used everything she can reminisces to put together the path to the front desk, where she would be able to ask Ms Mako to call Acion to meet her. Hopefully she was still there.

She finally arrived there. And before her, both the secretary, and surprisingly, her former teacher, Jais, was there.

”Sensei?” She asked, as her eyes turned to look at her blinded old teacher.

Jais had turned to leave the front desk when he saw Aurelia walk in behind him, even though he was not facing her, he smiled. “Aurelia!” He turned around his smile still on his face. “It’s been awhile child.” He said in a cheery voice. Walking up to her he looked down at her...despite not seeing her with his eyes. “What brings you back here?”

He bent down and took the girl in his arms in a big bear hug. Most of his students still kept in touch with him, and he considered many of them as adoptive children. Aurelia was one of them as well. She had a lot of talent, and thought was a bit of a hothead and he could never quite get that ‘for the glory’ out of her. Not that it made her a bad hero… but still she was young and had time to learn still.

”Sensei!”

Seeing her ‘father’ again after years of separation filled the girl with overwhelming joy, as she rushed to let him hug her. After all these years...and yet...his smell, his muscle strength and his warmth never changed. It was as cozy, as heart-warming just like her real parents. She would have returned the hug if she hadn’t been holding the heavy box.

He stood back up and ruffled her hair slightly, a trademark habit for his ‘kids’ Which annoyed Kagura to no end back in the day, among many many others. Yet he did remember her using it on her daughter Mina a few times.

He glanced down and saw the package. Noticing it was heavy by the way she was carrying it, “Here let me take that..” He said as he quickly grabbed it from her, lifting it with what looked like ease. But he let an internal grunt of effort. What the hell was in that box?

His mind clicked to Acion, who was now one of his students as well. It must be for him. Even coming to his conclusion, Jais gave one of his over the top fake smile. “You shouldn’t have! My birthday isn’t for a few months!” He said, giving one of his deep laughs.

”Geeez! Don’t treat me like a kid sensei! I’m already an adult!” Her cheeks could be seen flushing pink, a mixture of slight anger and embarrassment. ”And this? It’s not for you! It’s for my brother, Acion, who is studying here at the moment.”

Looking at him, he was obviously curious of the box’s content. She carefully placed her good arm beneath the box to support it, and opened it with the other hand. Inside were a bunch of metals: metal greaves, metal gauntlet and even a shirt with several piece of metal placed within it. Each wasn’t very heavy to carry, but all of them combined could toll to 30 kg

”Since I have a bit of connection with several equipment sellers, my brother asked me to buy this for him, so that he can train his muscles.” She looked down on those piece of equipment. ”Geez, to think that he would be wearing all of this. Baka…”

The last word she muttered under her breathe. But that’s her brother. He wasn’t that useless little brother she knew ten years ago. Even if she had to admit that there were many things about him that she could not understand, like his God-complex. Just really? Nobody compares themselves to God. Arrogance had its limits. But she couldn’t deny that he certainly had an unparalleled confidence and willpower. She initially didn’t, but was forced to believe so.

Jais only chuckled. “You are still a kid to me little one.” He said softly as he then gave a fake frown at her saying it wasn’t for him. Once inspecting it after she opened it, and listening to her explaining the purpose of them. He gave a thoughtful look as he thought about Acion’s battle today. Not what he would recommend to focus on training at the moment. But still he gave the boy credit for trying.

He closed the box and walked it over to the counter to the mail section, writing a quick note on top of the box and placed it on the incoming mail pile. He felt sorry for the one in charge of delivering that package to the dorm. As he did this he nodded, “Ah yes. Acion… He’s one of the students I’m overseeing at the moment actually. It didn’t click that he was your little brother.”

Jais looked back to his former student and said, “ I do admit, he’s an odd one, didn’t do too bad on his test today. But he has some promise. Actually I’ve got a class full of potentials this year. I swear they are going to be the death of me this year if they keep at their pace they set on their first day.”

He heard the bell ring for lunch and shrugged. “Would you want to spare a few minutes to eat lunch with this old man? Be nice to catch up a bit.”

“Sure!” She cheerfully said. ”Perhaps then I can meet my little brother of mine. I want to deliver this to him personally...since it has been quite long since we last met face to face.”

Jais groaned inwardly as she said she wanted to deliver it personally. Apparently he was that poor man who had to carry this package to it’s owner. He picked it up with a grunt and smiled. “Hopefully he isn’t picking fights with the entire school on the first day like someone else I knew…” He said looking pointedly at her.

Her lips curved into a pout, with hints of childishness and irritation. He was clearly indicating her. He wasn’t really intending to hide his intentions during times like this. But that was what made him so memorable. A rebellious student, and a mischievous teacher.

At the lunch offer, Aurelia led the way, her usual proactiveness taking over. The sky over the city wasn’t very eventful now, especially during the day, when criminal activities were at its lowest. Surely, a few minutes lunch with her old teacher wouldn’t be too bad. Both of them arrived at the cafeteria, purchasing their food and headed outside, as the girl preferred a spacious area with fresh air more than an air conditioned room.

”Hmm...I sure miss the scent of the food here. It’s delicious as always…”

Jais sighed as he placed his coffee on the table after a sip. “I don’t know what food you're smelling.” He said with a mischievous smile. He Probably just sick of it for being here for so long. Besides...nothing can compare to the food he could get in France… oh he wished for a genuine baguette with some brie. The japanese cooks just couldn’t get it right. And he for sure couldn’t bake for his life. “It all tastes like cardboard to me.” He said with a longing sigh as baguettes with brie filled his thoughts.

”It surely is better for me.” Her face turned to frown in slight disgust as she remembered the first month after graduation, fresh and innocent. Because of her inexperience and a little unluckiness, she did not earn enough for her living. At the time, it was instant noodles, snacks and a litre of mineral water shared between her meals. God, it was nightmare! Luckily, it was thanks to her skills and talents did she gradually managed to earn her reputation among the heroes, and was then reowned as Sky Defender. But man...it was an unforgettable experience.

Noticing how silly both the teacher and the student had been, they both burst into small giggles of genuine amusement. Ahh...nostalgia.

The two of them spent another few minutes finishing their lunch and talking about whatever they could recollect about their past experience with each other. And the entire process was the same: mentioning, talking, arguing a bit about it then finally smiling over past memories. They say that the most beautiful thing to talk about are memories. This was probably the best example of it.

”Sister?”

It was then that Acion, who just came down after finishing all the tedious class of regular classes, realized who was here, and the box next to her. It was totally unexpected. The boy did call for her sister to do his order, but he had never expected her to deliver it to him directly. He was looking at her in agony of surprise as she slowly stood up and faced him.

”Hello little bro.” She smiled at him mischievously. ”What’s wrong, cat got your tongue?” She noticed his surprised face.

Indeed, he was very much caught off-guard by her sudden appearance, especially after she disappeared for years when Acion was still young. They still maintained contact, but they all had their lives to live, and an emotionless message could never be as good as a direct confrontation. And here, in front of his eyes, she was there.

Acion’s joy was seen perfectly clear on his face for a brief moment, before returning to his usual self.

”Hello sister.” He kept his usual positive attitude as he faced her. ”And no, my tongue is still very much intact. Limbs are not lost so easily.” Then again, his confident demeanor.

”Geez. You’re still keeping that little childish attitude of yours. I tell you, fix it, or you will end up becoming a social reject for that.”

”You’re the one to talk sister!” He countered his sister’s saying. ”You aren’t so different from me in the childish regards.”

Aurelia’s face turned red in an instant, afraid of somebody catching it on that.

”W-Who told you about that?! You don’t know me!”

”Seems like you are more old-timed than I do, sister. You think that I wouldn’t try to get to know you during those years of separation? Father told me a lot about you, including your secret relationship with Alb-”

”Shut up!” Aurelia forcefully blocked her younger brother’s lips with her hands, her voice nearly shouting.

That old man!

Could he stop spouting nonsense to this already spiritually extremist like Acion?!

Jais, seeing his student and former students, the pair of siblings, finally met, knew that he was becoming an outcast here, and it would be rude of him to interfere with their talk, so he decided to excuse himself and left the cafeteria.

”Geez! It appears that I cannot convince you. She said, her frustration hinted.

”Your determination is waning.” He retaliated, again with the will and determination thing he usually say. Aurelia paid no mind to such provocation for she had gotten used to it.

”Anyway…” Aurelia turned to the box that Jais left next to his seat. ”Here’s what you’ve ordered. I’ve hand-picked it myself for you. I think that 30 kg are probably your limits, so I try to get it under that range.“

”Honestly, you should consider following my footsteps, learning to increase your agility and technique more than power. You have the same potential as I do. This is just...a little excessive.”

”It’s excessive, but it’s effective all-around. The weight will force me to be faster and use my muscle a lot more. And it takes a lot of determination to wear this thing all day.” Acion replied as he took the box from her sister, opened it and tried some of it on.

Wait...

All day?

”You mean you aren’t taking it off after training?”

”Only during certain time. Like combat, showering or sleeping.” Acion replied at once.

’Oh dear…’

That’s her bro.

”...I guess I can’t force you otherwise. You are strong enough to be independent.” She patted the gauntlet that he just tried on in a form of encouragement. This thus enabled the boy to leak his emotions again, this time in a more appreciative way.

”Thank you...sister.” He bowed with gratitude to her, in a way a little bit too polite considering their relationship.

Kasuke Mina

After returning from her dorm, Mina had to snap herself out of her funk in order to pay attention during general studies. Not that general studies was difficult, but she'd kick herself if she failed due to missing something on account of self-reflection. It was okay to not be the best yet, she had told herself. That's what she had enrolled at this school for; to learn how to become the best, and to train her mind and body for the task of being a hero. General Studies was too part of that.

Once the bell rang for lunch, Mina made her way straight there. After the fight earlier this morning, she needed to recharge and refuel her body, so she was naturally starving. Picking a selection of what was to her an ordinary meal, but would be a gourmet meal the likes of which unseen to most other students. Sitting down alone, she started to eat, with knife and fork, cutting off and eating dainty bites in the most bourgeoisie style of eating imaginable.

Mako Akane

The pile of paperwork considerably shortened during the last period, Mako was ready for lunch. She just grabbed a salad though. Most of her self-imposed daily calorie allowance was reserved for alcohol in the evenings. That was the biggest thing she missed in prison; a nice, cold beer at the end of the day.

She took the plate back to her desk so she could carry on working while she ate. After a few minutes, she saw a very familiar face; a third year student when she had first taken up the post; Aurelia Nakamiji. Older sister of current first year Acion, in fact, as well as accomplished hero and leader of a team! Mako shouldn't be surprised what the former student had managed to do in three years given how much she herself managed in six months, but nevertheless, she was impressed.

She was about to say hello when Jais entered, and immediately got a very warm reception from the former student. Mako sat there, smiling as usual, but secretly feeling pretty ignored, and pretty jealous. What was she, chopped liver? She watched the two of them, head off to lunch, then turned her attention back to her paperwork.

Mamoru Aksha

Eventually the good times had to come to an end. The bell rang and next class was going to start. ”Talk to y'all later!” Mamoru said with a cheer as she returned to her seat and resumed class. The rest of the lessons were general education stuff that Mamoru tried not to sleep through. It was really morning though, compared to the exciting hero class. Still she did her best to be a good little student, taking notes and such.

Eventually lunch rolled in. Mamoru debated taking a nap but all she needed to do was talk a few steps outside of the classroom and she was already back to her energetic old self. She practically skipped to lunch as she wait in line for her meal. She could already smell it in the air; pork curry with fried rice, watermelon, and a tall glass of barley tea. It also helped that there was a menu with today’s lunch choices available.

One Mamoru had her meal she looked for somewhere to sit. While sitting outside was tempting, she'd prefer somewhere a bit shadier. That's when she spotted the perfect place: a humble lunch table underneath a tree. It didn't have the big umbrella like the other outside tables did, but who'd need them with you had a natural shade? All it needed was a tablecloth and it'd be perfect! Either way Mamoru headed outside to claim this righteous place as her own.

Donny Yang

After returning to class Donny was fairly quiet. He didn't talk at all unless called for by the teacher. He just paid attention to class, occasionally got lost in his own thoughts, and quietly snacked when he could get away with it. His actions during the training battle was soon forgotten under the more mundane English and Math lessons, stuff that Donny already had a decent grasp of due to his extensive homeschooling. Eventually however, the best class in school finally started: Lunch!

Donny showed surprising speed as he rushed to lunch, practically one of the first kids there. Perhaps his eagerness was a mistake, as he got a few jeers for how excited he seemed about getting to lunch. He ignored them the best he could and just got the food he wanted. Which was to say, as much as he was allowed to carry. Two bowls of curry, a bowl of ramen, a plate with three sandwiches stacked on it, two bananas, two bottles of apple juice, three muffins, and three bags of chips, each a different flavor. A big meal for a big kid.

Looking around Donny thought about where he could sit at. Plenty of space and while it was loud, Donny didn’t mind the noise. He wanted to enjoy his meal in peace, maybe take a nap, and then get ready for the rest of his day. He still had to do grocery shopping for dinner too. As Donny was looking around he noticed Mina eating lunch alone. She looked so graceful. Donny was practically shaking just looking at her. ”No! You came here to change Donny, isn’t that right? To be better, to become a hero? How can you throw yourself into a flaming building if you can’t even talk to a girl?” Donny gulped nervously. Mina was nice, but surely she wouldn’t want to be seen around someone like Donny. Reputation and all. Still… He had to try. Even if he gets rejected, he’d at least not have to regret never asking. So taking a deep breath Donny walked over to Mina, carefully balancing his tray of food as to not make it spill.

”Ah… Um… H-H-H-Hi, Kosuke-s-s-san. M-M-Mind if I eat h-here?”

@Silver Carrot

As the bell rang, the boy who walked into Class A1 stayed there. He didn't talk, barely took notes, just sort of listened to the teacher and watched everyone else. When spoken to he's say something, but he didn't introduce himself and didn't bother to talk to the rest of the students. Eventually lunch came and he left along with everyone else, but didn't seem to head to the lunchroom. Meanwhile as more students filled into the lunch room, there was hush tones as one group in particular entered the room. For those who'd bother to listen to the whispers and rumors, they here talk about "The Seven Precepts" and "A2 Elite's". And the only name passed between the gossip and hearsay was something about the "Shiki Family".

Leading the group was a girl with mischievous eyes and a sharp smile. Unlike all the other students, she wore a unique school uniform. No one seemed to bat an eye at it, not even the teachers when she walked past them. She spoke to the rest of her clique, including a pale boy who seemed to have a few bloody bandages wrapped around his head. He was accompanied by a few other kids who seem to differ to his judgement. One such kid ran off to go get the group a nice table for all of them to sit at. Behind them were two girls, one with long-purple hair and another with shoulder-length pink hair. They seemed to be talking about something important as they showed each other various papers and documents. Lastly, there was a little girl riding some sort of golem made out of towels. She paid no mind to others, simply following the group while drawing something on her sketch pad. This group was given a wide birth by most of the other students, and were even able to quickly get into the lunch line simply because the others stood off to the side, letting them through.

Dulga Tarata

Eventually after cooling off Dulga returned to class. What happened afterwards was one big blur; all she could really remember was that the lessons were boring and she took a lot of notes. A habit of hers she formed thanks to having six extra arms; she could write three times as many notes, and had filled four books with observations, thoughts, theories, and doodles. Eventually her classes were over and it was time for lunch. Dulga usually packed her own lunch, but today she forgot her lunch box after arriving to school late. She didn't like standing around in line because she knew it'd draw attention to her, but she'd have to tolerate it for today. After today, she'll make sure not to make the same mistake again. Dulga took portable food from the lunch lane, namely a sandwich, an apple, and a bottle of water. She wasn't going to eat here so Dulga went outside. However there was already a lot of people out here too, and she couldn't even go eat somewhere like on the hill or under a tree. Still too many people. However she did have an idea.

There was a tree with some low branches and thick canopy that Dulga could climb into. With her cloak, it'll be tough for anyone to see her as well. So Dulga went over to the tree and started climbing. She held her lunch with her two lower arms while her main and middle arms helped her climb to the top of the tree. Once she was alone she took in the quietness and the serenity. Taking her cellphone out Dulga played herself a song as she removed her mask and ate her lunch in silence. "Not bad. Nothing like at home, but not bad."

Jett Haven

Jett walked to the lunchroom soon after meeting with Ms. Mako. The biggest smile on his face even though she now knows him as Jetty. Actually it's not that bad now that he thought about it. He popped in his two wireless ear buds and turned on some music as he swaggered into the lunchroom, his hands in his pockets as he began to bob his head to the music. Grabbing a tray he spun it around as he looked at the food options in front of him. With the tray being held like a waiter he begun to pile on the food. a couple of steaks, mash potatoes, Rolls some nice steamed veggies. It looked like a mountain of food on a single plate.

It was at this point his upper body began to bounce and sway back and forth to the rhythm of the song. He paid for his food quickly and slid back into the main room looking around. He spotted his grandfather walking in with a girl with wings. It seemed they knew each other, she did seem just a little older...perhaps a former student? Jett knew his grandfather kept in tabs with many MANY of his students.

Turning his attention back to where to sit. He noticed Mina already sitting and eating alone. Well Here was his chance to speak with her alone again, He began to swagger his way towards her and didn't notice the posse of students walking towards the line. He was caught up in his music basically dancing as he walked, taking a lot of extra steps side to side as he sung along and had his eyes half closed. He didn’t care what people thought of his dancing, even though it was funny to watch.

While many students steered clear of the group for some reason, He walked right in front of the 'leader' of the pack. Almost walking into her, he caught himself at the last moment and pulled his tray away from her and up, just inches from her chest and face, as he spun on one foot. It looked like he didn't even break from his dancing as he moved out of her way.

He looked back with a playful grin. Noticing all the girls in the group. And the one big pale guy, who had bandages on his head. Him fight later. The others, not so much. "Sorry bout that. Got a bit carried away in the music. “ He said giving her a wink.

The girl didn’t seem to notice Jett nearly crash into her, aside from that fact that she moved out of the way to avoid him as he almost crashed. The other girls also still seemed to be more focused about their documents, which they were speaking in much more concerned tones now. Calculators and cellphones were brought out. However the pale kid who was talking to the mischievous looking girl glared at Jett and scowled at him. ”Watch where ya going, ya tard!”

He cocked his head to the side as the girl didn’t even look at him oblivious to his words. But the pale guy, he went as far to call him a Tard. Oh he wanted to just throw his food down and clock the guy one right in the chin. Jett already apologized for his actions and this kid went to elementary level and called him a tard. He actually had to think about if he wanted to do it or not. All the while he thought this, his face was not impressed with the pale boy’s ‘threat.’

He shook his head. “You’re lucky you caught me on a good day…you big ‘meanie’ His last words were dripping with sarcasm. Pointing one of his fingers at him, “I'll come back later and teach you some more age appropriate insults.” He said with a defiant grin” He then turned around started to dance once again as he walked in between people and tables. As he did though he noticed donny swoop in and start talking to Mina. Damn son. Looks like he took to his pep talk pretty quick.

The boy looked like he was about to take a swing at Jett, with his own minions about to back him up when the playful girl stepped in front of her friend. ”Hey hey now, you're going to get wrinkles in your thirties if you keep worrying about small things. Honestly, you need to focus on more important people, Mr. VP~” This seemed to make the boy calm down, though he still shot a glare at Jett as he walked away. ”Pft… Whatever.” With the situation dealt with the boy walked to his table, though the girl did glance at Jett, Mina, and Donny. A sly grin emerged on her face as a plan unfolded in her mind.

Jett had made it to a table in between him and Donney and Mina, kids blocked either side as they talked, so Jett without missing a beat lifted his tray high into the air as he hopped up and slid across the table with ease placing his feet into the ground and spinning into an open seat right next to Mina quite suddenly. Placing his food on the table. “Hey! How you guys doing?” He looked up at Donny with a big smile “Do you mind if I eat with you two?” He wished it was just Mina and him, but it would be good for Donny to see that Jett acknowledged his presence as an equal. He then looked to Mina with one of sly grins Unless I'm bothering you...

Kaida Roy Ezra

Turning his back to the gate, Sarge was met by two late students. “You guys are extremely late, it’s lunch right now. I hope you guys have slips to explain why you're late or there will be punishment by the school.” He said folding his arms as he towered the tardy students.

Roy began packing up his things after hearing the bell ring for lunch, he was pretty hungry after the long first day he was having. A nice lunch would put him in a better mood, he gathered his belongings and placed them in his backpack before making his way over to Ezra's desk.

“You tryna grab some lunch with me Big E?” He asked slinging his cloak over his shoulder with a smirk.

Kaida looked up at the big man… she gulped as he looked like a man who didn’t joke around much. She frowned and said in a tiny voice. “I’m so sorry! We got caught up in something in town.” She offered the slip the officer gave her to the security guard. “We would have been here earlier but the police held us for statements…”She gripped her left arm with her right hand and squeezed. She hoped it would be enough.

Sarge took the slip and began looking over it, “Alright come with me” he said as he escorted them into the main lobby of Komei Academy. The inside was just as nice as the outside, students had been coming from a staircase on the other end of the lobby before taking a left towards the Cafeteria. “Well i’m sure you guys probably haven’t had lunch yet, try not to be late again” he said before nodding his head towards the lunchroom. “Enjoy” He said before yelling at some students who seemed to be pushing.

Kaida sighed in relief as she followed Sarge back to the main lobby. She looked around in amazement at this school. A spark of excitement started up inside her. She was actually going to begin her first day of REAL school! She looked up to the man and nodded “Thank you so much.” she said sweetly. “I promise it won’t happen again!”

After nodding at the ‘enjoy’, she slowly walked towards the cafeteria….she could hear a bunch of kids talking with each other and she stopped just outside the door. She could do this… she could make friends… but what if she sat at the wrong table? Or talked to the wrong person...Groaning inwardly she held her hands to her chest, trying to work up the courage to walk in.

Ezra looked down at his desk. Boy did he hate ordinary lessons, and this definitely wasn’t an exception to the rule. He was quite annoyed at the fact that he had to still participate in normal lessons despite being at a hero school. He knew it was important in case anything went sour, but he never had the motivation to succeed academically. He found himself dozing to sleep half of the time in lessons, though he did admit that the teaching here was certainly not bad. He had been more engaged than he normally had.

It was not to his surprise when Roy had came to his desk later to ask if he wanted to go get some lunch. He of course, had come up with another nickname for him. Why did these people refuse to use his birth name, he could not fathom, but he swore that the next nickname that he got from someone, he was going to refer to them as a cunt, in some shape or form. That’d show them. He grinned to himself as he looked toward Roy.

“Aight, I heard they got some good ass food here. I’m starvin’.” he spoke as he slung his bag over his shoulder and got up, ready to follow Roy.

Roy tilted his head in confusement when he saw Ezra grinning after asking him if he wanted to get something to eat. Maybe he was started to warm up to his nickname, or he really wanted to eat. He started walking out of the classroom with Ezra following. “I’ve heard the same thing, anything sounds good to me since. I’m pretty used to hospital food” He said chuckling. The two made their way down the main staircase and into the lobby before make their way into the cafeteria, Roy looked all around taking in the view. “This beats the hospital mess hall by a long shot” He said before stopping in place as the food hit his nose, he gulped as his mouth began to water.

“What is this beautiful smell?” He said as the intoxication of freshly made food permeated his nose, he felt as if he was thrown into a dream as the world played in slow motion around him. He reached into the pocket of his slacks and grabbed his wallet, opening to check how much money he has before turning to Ezra.

“If don’t end up as big as Donny with the way we’re eating, I am gonna be ashamed of myself” he said gathering all the money he has.

Ezra cackled at the comment Roy made. He enjoyed good banter and roasts, regardless of whether there was a victim. He did feel a bit bad, but his laughter overwhelmed that. His hunger quickly stopped this however, as he smelled the food. He knew immediately what was required of him, as he seemed to lose all regard for logic or budgeting. He wanted meat. A lot of meat. He began to walk to the counter, sighted on his goal, so focused however that he did not notice what was in front of him, and he ended up bumping into a girl, much much shorter than him. Quickly snapping back to his senses, he put his hand out to the girl.

“I’m sorry, are ya ok? I didn’t see ya.” he spoke, regretting his foolish actions. He just hoped that the girl that he had knocked down wouldn’t take it badly, given as it was an accident and all.

Kaida finally had gotten the courage to move forward when suddenly it felt like a truck hit her from behind. She let out a tiny yelp as she was knocked over. She did manage to put out her arms and stop herself from hitting her face on the floor. She groaned as she now sat on her side, her legs together and looked at her wrist that were hurt during the fall. Not much, just annoying.

Great her first five minutes in school and she was knocked over in the middle of the lunch room. She could feel dozens of eyes on her as she looked down and her cheeks turned red. This was horrible. She then heard someone speaking to her and looked up...way up and saw a very tall and handsome boy holding out his hand to her. She didn’t know what to say at the moment as her gold eyes looked up to his. She looked at his hand, then back at his face, as if unsure what he said. As it did take a second for her to translate it in her head.

“Oh…” she flushed, “I-I…” Her accent heavy. “Yes.. I’m fine. I’m sorry, I was...in the way.” Feeling extremely embarrassed at the moment. She hesitantly reached her own hand took his. While she did this she looked over to see a blonde boy looking down at her as well. He was much different from everyone else… he was hot...temperature wise that is. He was at least 20 degrees hotter than anyone else in the room. How was he even standing? Most people would be dead at that temperature.

Roy turned back to ask Ezra what he was gonna get first before seeing him knock down a girl, his eyes widened as her arm hit floor to break her fall. He quickly moved through the students before making his way back to Ezra who was sticking his hand out, the blonde boy knew accidents happened, usually in a situation like people would think Ezra was picking on students smaller than he was.

He got closer to the girl, putting his wallet away in his pocket. As he got closer the heat he was giving off became more radiant. “Are you okay? Seemed like a pretty hard fall” And it was, Ezra wasn’t no ordinary kid. He towered over the both of them, he leaned over towards Ezra. “I know this was an accident but you should at least offer the poor girl you knocked over some food” he said, it was the least he can do.

Ezra pulled the girl up when she had grasped his hand. Her hands were soft, yet they felt weird to the touch, at least to him. Not like anybody else’s hands that he had ever held. He made sure she was steady before letting go so that she would not fall over once more, before nodding his head at Roy’s suggestion. He did feel bad about it, especially considering that the girl was cute. Her accent didn’t help Ezra change his mind in this regard.

“I know it sounds kinda stupid, but do ya wanna eat with us? I’ll get ya lunch on me, whatever ya want.” he spoke, with a smile as he scratched the back of his head and blushed a little bit. He did feel pretty stupid that his hunger had clouded his judgement and made him bulldoze this poor little girl, but he was hungry, and a man had to get his food.

Once she had got to her feet and he let go of her hands, she patted her sides down of imaginary dust. She gave a small smile, as to show she was ok, but then looked at the blonde boy. Who had asked if she was alright. “Oui!...I mean yes, excuse me. It was a short distance to fall.” She said, a little red in the face at her first attempt at a joke. The boy then told the taller one he should by her food. Her eyes wide as she raised her hands in protest.

But before she could the tall boy then asked if she wanted to eat with them and went along with the idea to pay for her. That was nice of the both of them to offer so much. He even blushed as he offered it. It was cute, such a big man blushing at asking a simple question.

She smiled sweetly and closed her eyes. “No no.. I couldn’t…”She had to think of the word. “...Possibly let you do th at for me… I mean I was the one who was in the way.” She placed her hands in front of her, gripping her own wrists. She managed to...well get pushed over by some of the nicest boys she met in Japan. Perhaps luck was on her side.“I would love to sit with both of you though…” she added with a blush of her own and a sweet smile.

Roy smiled as Ezra listened to what he had to say, he was also happy to hear that the girl would accept his offer to eat with them. “Now that you plan on having lunch with us I think we should get to know a little more about each other. My name is Roy Kusayanagi and this is Ezra Jasekade. We are both in the hero course Class 1-A” He said as stuck his hand out before taking a glance at Ezra who’s face was red. The mighty Ezra, taken down by a small girl.

Roy grinned as took a long blink before turning back to the girl, “It is a pleasure to meet you” He said as he held out his hand, as his sea green eyes met her golden yellow eyes.

Ezra quickly stopped blushing as he remembered the company that he was in, and he realized that they had better get lunch quickly, before the queues had built up even more than they had already. He figured that the best way for him to do this was by using his body to push through, as he had on his way into the school. This was his best way to proceed, at least in his eyes. It was kinda hypocritical given as he just knocked a girl over, but he was fucking starving and could probably eat an entire horse at this stage.

Sticking his arms out and pushing through, though being careful not to completely bulldoze anybody, he went through until he had reached the front of the queue. It was at this stage that he didn’t remember what the girl wanted.

“What do ya want? I’ll buy it for the both of ya, but ya still have to pay up Roy, I ain’t knock you over” he shouted over the crowd, hoping that they would be able to tell him.

Kaida took Roy's hand with a soft grip and smiled at him “It's a pleasure to meet you as well Roy!” As she felt his hand she could feel the heat coming off of it and it felt amazing to her. So warm and welcoming. She resisted an urge to wrap her arms around him and cuddle him like a teddy bear. He had nice eyes to boot. She looked to Ezra to say hello to him but he suddenly trudged off towards the line. Her hands shot up to her mouth as he started pushing his way towards the front of the line. When he called back to her and Roy she reddened even more.

Now the other students were looking at them. She felt so embarrassed that he did that, maybe they thought she forced him to do it! She wanted to roll up in a ball and die. But he was forceful enough that she quickly said “I don't know!? Whatever you think is good!?” She didn't see any thing that she really recognized, but she also wanted to get him out of the line quickly so the other students didn't have to wait on her.

Roy frowned when he said he had to pay, after all the things he put him through today he couldn’t at least treat him. Roy cupped his hands together to project his voice louder, “ Get me some of that beef with rice on the side!” He shouted loudly. Hopefully he was able to hear it, he didn’t have a voice like Kenichi but it should do in the situation. He turned back to the girl, “We should probably get a table, wanna eat inside or outside.” He said as a student bumped into him, making him drop his cloak.

He tried picking it up before another person bumped into him as well which began angering the boy. “I hope you don’t mind, it might get a little hot around here” he said his eyes began glowing yellow as he released some solar energy he had stored. The students around him began feeling a wave of heat as the took a step back, “Lets use this chance to get out of the way” He said as he began slicing through the crowd with his veil of heat making his way towards the lunch tables inside.

Ezra had managed to hear them both clearly enough, his hearing was very good selectively, but what bothered him was that both of them were so fucking vague he had no idea what to get. He figured for Roy, he’d just get the roast beef dinner, but he was stumped for the girl. He figured she needed something nice. His favorite was pulled pork burgers, so he figured she’d like that. It was the nicest thing he could think of, so he figured that he’d just order it for her. Hey, if she didn’t like it, he could have it. He licked his lips as he ordered for himself however. He ended up ordering an entire chicken, 2 steaks and 2 sets of ribs. He was famished, and boy did he love his protein.

Somehow managing to keep the plates from falling, he ended up walking toward where his two accomplices were seated. They had found accommodation inside of the building, and he saw no issue with this, given Roy’s quirk. As he walked over, he placed the plates in front of those who had ordered them, before finally taking a seat himself.

“Sorry about that, I shoulda asked ya orders first. You can pay me after we ate Roy, ya yellow prick.” he spoke with a grin, before promptly realising that they had new company. He wasn’t particularly embarrassed, it was just his dialect slipping out, and it happened quite a lot, to the point where he stopped caring what other people particularly thought about the way that he spoke.

She looked to Roy and said “Inside is fine with me.” She watched as students bumped into Roy, and continued to bump into him as he tried to pick up his cloak. Before she could even try and help him he then said it was about to get hot. Smiling, “I can take the heat.” She said as he started to emit more heat. Inside she sighed in relief at feeling the warm waves reached her. She nodded when he started to lead the way, she got as close as she could to him without being awkward about it.

As she walked she noticed another blonde boy dancing in the line. She giggled at the sight as he seemed to be in his own little world. She could not dance and she could never. EVER. Dance in the middle of a cafeteria full of her peers. She wished she could have his confidence, as well as the confidence as Roy and Ezra. They made it to their table and she sat next to Roy and his heat. But she watched as the other boy almost ran into someone but caught himself rather gracefully. Almost getting in a fight.

She looked to Roy and leaned close even though no one was around, she used it as a reason to stay near the heat and asked. “Do you know who that is? The one who is dancing like a fool?” She didn't point, it was rude to point. The reason she also took notice was because he didn't look like a native. He looked very European.

It was about this time Ezra came with the food and she looked down at what she got. Her head cocked to the side. She never seen anything like this before. Where was the silverware? She looked up to Ezra as she called Roy a yellow prick. She was confused, she thought they were friends? Japan was a strange place.

She smiled At Ezra and said“Thank you so much you really didn't have to do this. I'll pay you back for sure next time.” She looked at her plate and asked. “What is this called? And am I supposed to eat it with my hands?” She asked, very aware she was sheltered and her face was red.

Roy smirked as she asked who the boy was, “Oh that’s Jett, he is in the hero course class with Ezra and me.” He said. Once they made it outside, Roy stopped releasing solar energy. He took a deep breath before finding a seat, “We can sit here”. The blonde boy took his seat right before Ezra approached the two with a large amount of plates. He called roy a yellow prick before handing him his food, “Well if I have to pay you back you never specified when” He said as he took apart some chopsticks before bowing his head and giving grace for the food. He took a bite out of the beef and began taking in the food full of flavor, he closed his eyes and drifted off into his own little world.

But was pulled out of it when the girl asked what the food he brought her was called, Roy opened his eyes looked at it before.asking the same question. “What is that food called Ezra, I’ve never seen anything like it” He said just as confused as the girl, it had two buns so was it some type of sandwich.

“I think it's a sandwich” he said before taking a mouthful of rice.

Ezra was incredibly shocked to hear the girl state that she had no idea what the pulled pork burger was, nor did she know how to eat it. Were people that went this school really this rich and poncy? He couldn’t exactly believe it, but it seemed that everybody that he met was just incredibly rich in some shape or form, which made him question why exactly he bought this chick the food.

His surprise turned to shock when even Roy had no idea what the food was, stating that he believed it to be a sandwich ‘Well fucking done sherlock’ he said inside his head as he shook it in disbelief. Pulled pork wasn’t exactly some street meal, he figured it was fairly generic as a barbecue staple, but perhaps the people that he were dealing with only ate premier steaks and wines or something.

“It’s a burger with pulled pork. Eat it with your hands. Careful you don’t get messy.” he spoke as he began to tear into his own food. He was devouring the chicken, nearly eating half of it in no time at all.

She felt even more embarrassed when she noticed Ezra’s surprise at her and Roy’s lack of knowledge of these burgers. She always had a chief on hand that made her whatever she wanted. She didn’t even really even think about food from other countries… and despite eating whatever she wanted she just really ate whatever he made, which was mainly French cuisine. She watched as the two ate and she unfolded a napkin and placed it on her lap.

She tenderly picked up the pulled pork and as some of it already plopped out on her plate, she made sure to keep it level and took a tiny bite. It certainly wasn’t like anything she ate before, or as messy. But her eyes lit up at the taste. It was really good for being something that looked slopped together. She took another slightly bigger bite and placed the burger down. Taking another napkin and wiping her fingers. She could do without the mess that was for sure, she would blow through a whole package of napkins before she finished this.

She then realized she never even gave her name. “OH I am so sorry, I never introduced myself…” Looking to both of them and straightened her shoulders. “Je m'appelle Kaida Beaumont…”Dang it… she did it again.[color=92278f] “Excuse me… i still easily slip back into my native language still.” She said bowing her head slightly. Then she realized. “Oh wait...you said A-1 Hero course? I’m in A-1! What a coincidence! “ Her smile brightened as she realized that her two new acquaintances were also her classmates. They certainly were entertaining enough, That would mean that Jett was one of her classmates as well. She glanced over towards where he had sat down. He was speaking with a blond girl and a bigger dark haired boy.

If three of her students were this eccentric, she wondered about the rest of her class and how they would be. Maybe she wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb after all? She smiled as she looked to Ezra. “This is delicious by the way! I'm glad you picked this one…Thank you. “

See he was right, it was a sandwich. He looked at Ezra who was shaking his head in disbelief before giving a dopey smile with a mouthful of rice. It seemed stacked full of meat in the sandwich, one false move and it would fall apart. The blonde boy kept on enjoying his beef and rice before snapping his head as the girl began remembering that she forgot the introduce herself. Though it wasn’t in japanese, it was in french. “You must be European then Kaida if you don’t mind me calling you by your first name, you certainly look like one. I am japanese and italian” he said using the chopsticks to point at his blonde hair and sea green eyes. His face lit up when he found out the girl was to be in class 1-A with the two.

“That’s awesome, if you like us then you will like a lot of the people in class 1-A” he said before looking over to Jett, Donny, and Mina who were sitting together. “Well some of them may take a little too warm up to but everyone means good in their own sort of way” He then began eating a little slower as he thought to himself. “Wait...if you are in Class 1-A why weren’t you in class today? What happened..if you don’t mind telling me that is” He said as he ate the last piece of beef on his plate.

Kaida nodded. “Yes, I’m French, and part Greek. You can call me Kaida that’s fine.” she said sweetly. She looked at his hair and eyes when he pointed to them. Then when he continued about how some of the students may take a little to warm up, she cocked her head to the side. “Oh?” Following his gaze towards Jett, the blonde and dark haired boy. “What do you mean by that?” She genuinely wondered. But when he asked why she wasn’t in class. She scrunched her shoulders up and looked away. After pushing a loose strand of her white hair back over her ear, she thought of how to word it.

She felt silly worrying about saying she fought some villain that was threatening some kids. Especially that’s why she was here in the first place was to learn how to do it. It would also sound like she was bragging. “Um… I was helping some kids out of a bad situation…” she said, being extremely vague, “Along with…” She perked up as she realized that Luelle wasn’t near her anymore. She got swept up in the moment of getting knocked over, and making these new friends. She felt bad… hopefully she would run into her again. “Someone else. “ She finished before looking back to him. “Sadly it made me miss the first half of school because of it. I’m just glad they didn’t turn me away at the door. I was really looking forward to today.”

She looked around the room and noticed a boy and girl speaking. The boy had six wings while the girl just had two. But six wings was insane! She never saw anything like it. It looked like he was trying on some Armor the girl had given him, she looked slightly older. Was she related to him? Their features did look similar. But he had white hair like she did...which was rare in her opinion.

She continued to look around and looked outside to see another person in a tree. Wow it was a woman and she was TALL. She could tell even though she was sitting down, her long legs hanging down proved it as well. She couldn’t tell much more cause she was mostly covered by the leaves. But that was an interesting place to eat some lunch.

She explained the reason why she was late, she left it at just helping kids out a bad situation. He smiled, “At least it was a good reason” Roy left it at that. If she wanted to go more into detail she would have, some people just weren’t as open. “It is a shame you missed the battle simulation, since you're in the hero course you must have some great ability that got you in to Komei” at this point Roy was full from the food and really wanted to take a nap right about now. “By some time to warming up they have may seem reserved at first, but that’s their little defense. One they get to know you a little they will open up a bit. Probably a small handful of us are really open to strangers, including me and Jett. You will know who the rest are later on. The blonde girl over there is Mina, the boy with black hair is donny.” He said as he saw Donny with more food than Ezra. That boy could eat.

He then saw that she was looking over at the winged boy, “That's Acion over there and..” he didn’t seem to notice who the girl was next to him. She was quite the eye cand.., Roys face went blank when he looked back at the two seeing they looked completely similar. The same hair color, wings, face. Roy felt sick all of a sudden, it was almost like looking at a Acion if he was a girl. “I don’t know who that is, I don’t think she even goes here considering she doesn't even have a uniform” He said looking back towards the pretty girl next to him. He felt a little bit better, he then noticed the super tall girl from earlier in a tree. “That girl I also don’t know, though she is in our class, she also came in late” He said before realizing that Ezra got all this food but no drinks.

“Ezra you big oaf, you didn’t get any drinks!”

Classroom 1-A > Cafeteria Veranda

The General Education classes weren't as bad as Kenichi feared, at least compared to his middle school. He still felt like he wasn't quite up to par for some of the material, but Isshin-sensei's use of his quirk to help each student one on one made it much less embarrassing to ask for help (he always hated feeling stupid when he had to ask for clarification or a repeat of something) and much easier to focus on what Kenichi was having trouble with instead of trying to scramble and keep up with everyone else. Even with those advantages though, he had given himself a wrist cramp trying to take notes on everything in as much detail as possible, and his eyes felt dry from staring so hard at the books as if he could intimidate them into giving him information.

When the bell rang for lunchtime he practically collapsed on top of his desk in relief. Unlike some of the others he took his time getting there--he skimmed back over his notes to make sure he hadn't missed anything, and checked his schedule so that he could sort out the books in his desk for whatever classes they had next and start trying to think ahead of the lesson plan. But the rumbling in his stomach sounded like a tiger trying to claw its way out of his guts at some point, so off he went with the rest. There were a lot more students he didn't recognize in the halls, but most of them were probably from other classes.

He thanked his lucky stars when he saw how varied the menu was in Komei's cafeteria--after the exhausting training exercise and Nurse Kiwi's intense healing session, his body probably need as much fuel to recover as it did to just get him through class. When "pumping up," so to speak, his blood produced far more red cells, and his heart would beat much faster. Using his strength, especially the way he had against Fumika, meant putting a lot of strain on his muscles and bones. And of course, he had his workouts to think about--he wanted to get bigger (especially taller, but he doubted he could force that) and make better gains. For the cardiovascular system, carbs that burned longer and more efficiently, and calories to make up for energy consumption. For muscles, bones, and blood richness, lots of calcium, iron, and the most important of all: protein.

He picked one of the outdoor tables on the veranda, because he was going to need some room for the extra-large tray he had ordered. As it came down with a heavy thump on the table, Kenichi sat and began to unwrap his chopsticks with a grin.

First up, a big--huge, even--bowl of rice with an egg cracked over top. A big serving, but not that unusual. But then there was Sutamina--or Stamina--Udon: pork cutlets, boiled cabbage and onions, three boiled eggs, and the titular thick wheat noodles, all in a warm broth and with Tsuyu sauce for dipping. Next to that, an even bigger bowl of Chankonabe; a chicken broth soup with added mirin, quartered pieces of chicken with the skin left on, fried balls made of kneaded fish, diced beef, hearty vegetables like daikon and bok choy, and another helping of noodles. Chankonabe was known as a dish making up the bulk of a sumo-wrestler's diet to increase their weight and muscle mass, and one meal of it contained as many as 10,000 calories.

"Itadakimasu!" Kenichi said as he broke apart the chopsticks, and then set to it with gusto.

Kasuke Mina

As Mina ate, she noticed the gang of students enter the cafeteria, none of which were in her class. One of them had bandages, so maybe they'd also had a training exercise of some sort. One thing Mina did decide is that she did not like the leader. That girl was trouble. She could tell.

Carrying on her half-interested scan of the school, she saw Jett dancing towards her. Dancing. She stopped eating and had to stare in stupefied silence at the sheer gall of this boy. Mina shook her head at him as he carried on dancing toward her, ever step of his bringing her one step towards her, but just setting one foot into her line of sight looking like that would be one step too close.

She didn't look at Donny when he started speaking to her, only turning to him when he'd finished, and beckoning to the seat opposite her, primarily so that Jett couldn't take it. The second reason so that there was a table preventing skin to skin contact. The last time they touched, Mina got stripped naked. Third on the ordered list of reasons was because she liked him.

"Of course, Darkmatter," she answered him, now watching the scene of Jett being confronted by the gang. Like she thought; they were trouble. When Jett joined them, Mina answered his question with "You're not bothering me anymore, now that you've stopped...I'd call it 'dancing' but I've seen dancing. That wasn't dancing. That was...dad-dancing"

She looked back at the 'Alpha' group as they walked off, catching the leader girl's eye and leering at her.

Mako Akane

Mako was carrying on processing the students when Sarge escorted two more into the building. Neither had opted for getting in by recommendations, and had already missed two classes. There was no getting around it; they were late. As Mako pulled out their papers and added them to the pile of students who were here, Sarge had let them go off for lunch. Well, she didn't need to speak to them, as long as Sarge knew the reason they were late, which she imagined he did. Mako leaned over the front desk and called Sarge over by his Hero name.

"Hey, Sarge. What's the given reason those two students are late? I need it for the paperwork."

In typical fashion, he gave her the answer, and as she wrote it down, he turned to leave. "Wait!" Mako shouted after him, her sparkling golden eyes now open and smile looking like something resembling genuine. "Want to go grab lunch together?" As she asked this, she discreetly hit the empty plate that had housed her salad. She didn't want him to figure out she'd already had lunch. That'd make her look a little thirsty, and admittedly, that thought embarrassed Mako. It was embarrassing enough being a secretary with a crush on the security. In fact, it was embarrassing enough being a former Supervillain attracted to a former Hero.

Classes after that had been fairly uneventful. She'd returned to her seat and begun memorizing the booklet she'd been given page by page during the five minutes or so she'd had before class resumed. Even if she didn't take the time to read every word on the page, it didn't really matter. So long as she had a picture of the page stored in her memory, she could read every word inside her head at her leisure, and memorize its contents that way, which was much faster than trying to keep up with turning page in class. After that, general classes had begun, and there hadn't been much else of note that had happened. Although, the teacher had started clapping and making more of himself at one point, and everyone had given her strange looks when she tried to do the same, so she'd stopped. Well... it wasn't like she could project much anyway. She was still utterly burned out from her fight, and her power was lingering at around 7%.

Almost before she knew it, classes had ended and a strange bell had sounded. She wasn't really sure what that meant... This was around the time that she usually ate lunch at her old school, but the teacher had just told them it was lunchtime. Here, though, there was some strange bell... Did the bell mean there was lunch? Or was it another exercise? What was the bell for?

Fumika glanced around, only to see everyone else was already shuffling out of the room. But... Jett was going one way, Yoshida was going another, and Reina wasn't going anywhere? Then... which one was she supposed to follow? She always went everywhere with her friends, but that had never been a problem before because her only friend was Haruka. But now she had three... So what was she supposed to do? She stood, looking back and forth, her hair bobbing to and fro as if fretting on its own. But before she could decide, Jett was already gone... and Yoshida's blue-haired head was rapidly disappearing into the dispersing crowd... And Reina still wasn't going anywhere... Ah, why did this have to be so confusing?!

But out of the three of them, Yoshida was the one she'd first spoken to. He was the one who'd first called himself her friend. In that case... She couldn't afford to waste any more time, so she chose on the spur of the moment and hastily followed him out, slipping admist the crowd as best she could. But there were so many people, it was hard to catch up to him...

Sure enough, tailing him led her to the lunch hall, but at that point, she got a bit distracted. There were so many people... and there was so much food! Her body's particle creation ability was very energy efficient, but even so... After projecting so many large objects, she needed to replenish her supply. Otherwise, no matter how much electricity her brain produced, she still wouldn't have any material to work with. ...And, even leaving that aside, there were so many things being served here that she'd never even seen or tasted before. Even by the time she got to the front of the line, it was difficult to decide on anything. What if she picked wrong, or accidentally got something she didn't like? As always, choosing something was so unnecessarily complicated... Even if the sheer number of options was exciting, and she was curious to see what everything was, it only made things confusing in the end. So, since she couldn't be sure of anything else, she ended up settling on a rather large plate of shrimp curry, piled high with rice and vegetables. Curry was always good. This was an irrefutable fact that she had observed through extensive research. If it was curry and it smelled good, it was impossible for it to not be delicious!

...Wait, what had she been doing again? She'd picked up several cinnamon rolls and a cookie at some point. Those were also good. But, no matter how hard she looked at it, she still couldn't see the resemblance... The resemblance. Yoshida had said she was a cookie. Yoshida was her friend. She had been following Yoshida. Where was he?

She wandered around for a while, before catching a glimpse of a familiar shade of blue outside. But it was on the ground in a chair, so it probably wasn't the sky. She turned back to look, and sure enough, there he was. She was already out the door and halfway to his table when she realized that he hadn't actually asked her to come along... Granted, Haruka had never actually asked her to follow her, either... But what if Yoshida didn't want her around right now? It would have been rude to bother him... But then where else was she supposed to go? She'd been expecting to eat lunch alone today, so it shouldn't have disappointed her so much to think that she might have to. But... she'd managed to actually make friends... so shouldn't this have been alright?

"Umm..." She hesitated sheepishly a few feet behind Kenichi, as if she were a vampire who couldn't cross some unseen threshold until she was invited in. She wanted to speak up... but the words seemed to crawl back down her throat no matter how hard she tried to force them out. She wasn't supposed to bother other people. She should have just watched and done what she was told. And yet...

"Is it... alright for me to eat here?" She asked quietly.

Cafeteria Veranda

@FeyblueKenichi lowered the bowl of rice he'd been shoveling down his gullet like a character out of Dragon Ball, and turned his head as a soft voice spoke up next to him. With a stray white grain sticking to one cheek, he gulped and gave her a smile--without showing teeth, of course.

"Sure, Motome-chan! Grab a seat!" As she assumedly did so, he started in on his udon, picking up one of the boiled eggs with his chopsticks and popping it into his mouth whole. He chewed for some time, one side of his jaw bulging like a squirrel's, before he swallowed and spoke again. "Is the curry here good? Seems popular." He had seen Mamoru and Donny grab some too--in the bigger boy's case, a couple of bowls. Kenichi hoped for his classmate's sake it wouldn't give him the...well, the afterburn, so to speak. The question wasn't much of a conversation starter--he half expected her to just say "Yes" or "No"--but when they had talked before in the nurse's office it had seemed like he had been going too fast for her at some points. If he even knew enough about her to judge her personality, he would hazard a guess that she was an introverted sort, so maybe it would help if he didn't do as much talking as usual. While he waited for her to reply he went back to his own meal, dipping a pork cutlet from the udon into his sauce and scarfing it down before bringing a whole curtain of noodles out of the broth and slurping them heartily.

Now that he thought about it, did he seem a little stand-offish himself? So far Fumika and Sen were the only classmates he had really spoken to at length. It looked like Mina, Jett, and Donny had sort of grouped up, and Roy, Ezra (was it him or did a surprising number of people in their class not have Japanese names?) and some girl he didn't recognize were at another table. Mamoru and that girl with the six arms had taken to the trees out in the schoolyard. And they didn't seem to be part of 1-A, but there was another large group of students all hanging together...wait a minute, why did Kenichi feel like he had seen one of them before?

He shook it off. Maybe Fumika was just shy, or maybe she had asked like that because for some reason he seemed unsociable? He hadn't really been paying much attention until now...maybe another opportunity to get to know everyone would come up. He mentally shrugged and kept eating while he listened to his friend.

Donny Yang

Donny smiled a little as Mina allowed him to join her, though he was embarassed when she called him Darkmatter. "Kosuke-san, p-please! J-J-J-Just calling me D-D-Donny..." Donny sat down across from Mina, just as she allowed him to, and immediately started eating his lunch. He started with a sandwich; in two bites he already finished one. Shortly after the sandwich Donny peeled and ate a banana, only to eat the banana peel afterwards anyways. He drank his apple juice and was about to start on his second sandwich when Jett joined. Donny had only sorta noticed Jett dancing, though he did hear his little spat with one of the other students. Though Donny tried not to pay it much mind, he was quite adapt at listening to whispers behind his back. This "A2 Elite" and "Shiki Family" talk reminded him of an old school manga where the main protagonists went to a new school, and had to be warned not to mess with the local delinquent gang. Though it looked like Donny was still focused on eating (And he was), he was looking at the group through his Meatbag, watching them walk away towards a table with the rest of their classmates were at. He wasn't sure what to think of them. But he'll be careful around them.

"H-Hi Jett. It's fine. The more the m-merrier." Donny said as he ate two sandwiches in three bites. It wasn't long before the boy would wolf down each of his meals in less time than it took for either Mina or Jett to pick up their utensils and put food in their mouths. While Donny ate fairly cleanly, not spilling a single drop or staining his hands or clothes, the sheer speed at which he ate could defeat most professional foodies. It didn't even look like was was chewing half the time. But for Donny, he was enjoying the explosions of tastes and flavor each meal brought, turning it into a sort of aurora of decadent tastes and sensations that shook his very body. Literally. Jett and Mina could see himself jiggle as he ate.

As Donny was eating some chips, signaling the end of his first meal, the young red-headed boy came over. "Excuuuuse me! Can I have this table? Me and my friends need another table, there's not enough room where we're sitting at." The kid pointed towards class A2, who seemed to be sitting at an already long table, but with nearly ever seat full. The only ones standing was was the pale kid who was speaking to Jett, the dastardly looking Class President, and a few extras who don't have a character sheet yet. The kid seemed rather pushy too. "We need it real fast. All the other tables are already taken or don't move! I wanna be able to sit with my friends too so can we pretty please have this table and chairs?"

Donny looked towards Jett and Mina, who more or less just started their meal. He wasn't sure what to say as he didn't feel he had the authority of this table. Mina got here first so she should be the one to decide. "Um... I... Uh... K-K-Kosuke-san? W-What do you think?"

At the same time, the tall, rather busty purple-haired girl went over to the table that Roy, Exra, and Kaeda was at. "Excuse me, I know this might seem a bit troublesome, but do you mind if we take this table? It's getting a bit crowded our table and we have a few more friends coming over, but no where for them to sit." She smiled politely at the trio, but with a slight hint of authority. There was just enough of a aura coming off from her to say that she intends to take this table one way or another, even if she was asking politely right now.

”You are welcome” Luelle said smiling a little bit. Tucking her tardy slip in her pocket, she looked around and gulped. Being new here, she had no way of knowing where she was going. She looked at the female and smiled.

”Well I better, um go. I need to find where I need to go” She bowed her head and walked her separate ways of the girl. Sighing, she held tight of her suitcase handle bar and walked.

Seeing the school was almost unreal to her. She only saw the school in pictures here and there whenever she escaped her home to the internet cafe back at her home. Her eyes went downcast as she though of her home. Sure she came here because she wanted to help her father, but that didn't stop the homesickness that was setting. Her phone rang and she stopped her steps.

’Father?’ She thought before picking it up. Hello Father she happily said.

Hanging up her phone, she sighed. It seemed that now that she was away from home, her father was more stricter than ever. Sure she had just as much desire to learn more about her quirk has other people her age, but it seemed like her father wanted much more than that. Shaking her head, she tucked hose thoughts way out of her mind, marking them as nonsense. Her dad loved her and simply wanted her to have a good future.

She grabbed her back and hummed happily as she walked away ignoring the tinge in her heart that she was wrong.

It was now lunch time and Luelle decided to go with the other students and go to the cafeteria.. She was unsure if lunch costed anything since she had to pay for lunch at her old school, so she decided to ask when they had the time. Luckily she had some fruit cups in her bag and would eat those instead.

Arriving at the cafeteria, she looked around. Students were everywhere. Some were alone, some were with their friends or in little groups. Feeling more out of place, she began to look for a table to sit at.

Jett Haven

Jett gave Donny a nod of thanks as he then looked to Kasuke, as she gave him her thoughts on her dancing. He smiled at Kasuke attempt to make fun of him Normally guys would be horrified to dance like a fool in front of everyone in school, or even in front of the girl they liked. But Jett didn't care, He was comfortable enough with himself.

His smile turned into a sly one, "Where do you think I learned how to dance?" He said with a chuckle. "Don't lie, you loved it. You know it." He took a few bites of his food with a smug/satisfied look on his face. But after swallowing his food and taking a sip of his drink he turned his head to her again.

Then, after a moment he leaned in slightly to kasuke, a genuine concern on in his voice as he said in a hushed tone so Donney wouldn't hear. "I'm sorry, I noticed earlier in the hall when you stormed off from that tall girl." Still not knowing her name. " Haven't had a chance to ask you earlier, but is everything alright?" He then thought it would be awkward not telling her how he noticed. "I happened to be talking to Donny at that moment. "

He then pulled back, "But of course it's none of my business...just wanted to make sure."

He turned to his food again and took a bite. After a few moments a kid with red hair appeared next to them asking to use their table. He leaned back while chewing and looked over his shoulder to see the group he was motioning to. It was the same one with the weird leader and the pale guy with an elementary vocabulary. He stopped chewing as his left eyebrow raised and he looked back at the kid while Donny had asked Kasuke what she thought they should do.

After finishing the food in his mouth and wiping the corner of his mouth with a napkin and folding it just next to his plate methodically he said, "Well.. I normally would, But that pale kid called me a 'tard' " he said with a fake frown and sarcastic voice. "I would say no just out of spite for that other kid. I'm also not done with my food yet, and more importantly, it's up to the beautiful lady Next to me. She got here first." He said folding his arms while leaning back in his chair and crossing his right leg over his left knee. He glanced over to Kasuke to see what she would say.

Reina Mori

Reina simply sat quietly, as the three each gave a positive response to her request. Her face was a fluorescent red now, partly because of her own uncertainty with the situation she found herself in, but mostly due to the fact that she still had Mamoru and Fumika hugging her. It was terribly embarrassing that she couldn’t keep her expression neutral, but she could hardly expect to accomplish such a thing when two pretty girls were showing her such affection—especially from Mamoru, who was actively snuggling into her. It was impossible not to blush, however guilty Reina felt. She certainly was enjoying the physical affection greatly, however unused to it she was.

The remaining classes before lunch went by rather quickly, Reina recognizing a strong feeling of happiness mixed in with the constant cloud of negative emotions that hung above her.

Reina stayed at her desk, double checking her notes and packing up deliberately slowly. It was a habit of hers, developed early on in her schooling—it made it easier to avoid being spoken to in the rush to leave.

The girl had brought her own lunch, the box it was contained rather sizable. She moved out of the class and down the stairs to find somewhere to eat that wasn’t the cafeteria. Making her way outside, she spotted Mamoru a ways away, sitting at a table.

Immediately, conflicting desires overcame the girl. She wanted to sit with her, but didn’t want to bother her; she also knew that sitting with Mamoru would be an effort made towards being more ‘normal,’ as she wished to be, but doing the opposite of what she had been doing for her entire life was much more difficult in practice than in theory.

The girl’s thoughts ran out of her control again, and she glanced to the ground with a light blush. There was just no way she could go over, as much as she wanted to spend more time with Mamoru. The fear of being an annoyance, or too pushy, or just doing something wrong in general was too ingrained into her. It was too big of a step too quickly, Reina tried to convince herself. It didn’t stop the bitter disappointment she felt towards herself for the decision.

She turned away and walked along the outside of the school, getting away from the more crowded area near the entrance and eventually sitting down in the grass, back leaned into the building. She unpacked her large lunch and took out her phone from her bag, playing a rhythm game on it while taking bites of food between songs.
