Then she asked if he had plans for lunch, to which he got redder and said "N-no, I don't have any p-plans for l-lunch."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that... I was just going to say." Haley covered her mouth noticing Lucas' blush. "Oh gosh I'm sorry did you think I was asking you out for lunch! I was just asking if you had any plans. Because I do. I'm sorry!" Her cheeks instantly died down now feeling more sorry for Lucas then flustered. She feels really bad right now.

"Oh..." he said, looking down. It was as if he had just been sucker punched in the gut. "Well, I hope you have fun..." he said, slowly getting up and walking back to his seat, placing his head on his desk.

Haley wished she worded her sentence differently. She could see the pain in Lucas' movements. "W-we can catch up after school if you want." She said desperately trying to fix her slip up. She really didn't like hurting people, especially emotionally. She smiled at Lucas hoping that this offer of a separate meeting would mend the damage she caused.

He didn't move from his spot, his mind closed off to the world.

The bell cut off allike the conversation with its screaming rhythm. Xavier waved goodbye to his class as they would be returning only for their standard education afterwards, and had a rather long lunch break to give him time to prepare. So far his class had been rather nice. As he read through their papers he could just imagine them together as the ultimate fighting team, paragons of justice and all things righteous. The ghastly man seemed to glow with joy.

Haley got up and went over to Meruem and quickly said to him. "I'll probably only be able to talk with you briefly during lunch. Is that alright? I've got some things I need to do." She discreetly looked at Lucas then quickly back to Meruem. She smiled masking her slight feeling of guilt, she managed this very well with almost no sigh of it on her face.

Augustus fetches his mobile phone and asks :„Can you all give me your phone number? So I can open a chat group."

Lucas heard the bell and slumped out of his seat, dragging his feet as he made his way to the cafeteria to get some lunch, sighing.

Haley nodded to Meruem the turned to Augustus as he asked for the numbers she quickly scribbled down her number then gave it to Augustus. She smiled briefly then started to head out of the classroom pulling her lunch out of her bag. It was just an apple and a ham and cheese sandwich. She took a bite from the apple then looked at Meruem, "So, what are your questions?" She tilted her head as she asked.

After she did briefly look at Lucas and told herself she would get to him soon enough. She had to make sure he was alright, she really didn't wish to have hurt him the way she did.

The man with engines in his body from the race with Meruem stepped towards Augustus. He smiled and smacked him a bit too hard on the back as he leveled himself with the fellow boy and flipped open his phone to reveal his own name and number, being: Baxter Crash and 759-334-1396. He chuckled happily as his phone was connected to the others in his class and he waved to the others. "heh! I'm a fan of this class, No hard to you Mereum, I'm not like these dweebs, I can actually take a hit or two! Anyway, see you guys I'm off to lunch" He responded happily with a bright smile and a puffed out chest before dashing off at incredible speeds.

Lucas sat down, alone, and ate his lunch in silence.

Haley half smiled as Meruem pointed out the engine boy. "I know, I was there." Her half smile formed into a full one upon Meruem saying he wanted to hang out with her. Her smile slipped away after hearing Meruem's question. " It's not really as simple as you might think. It's not that they think I'm weak, and even if they did I showed them otherwise during the ball toss. It's more that they were mad at your disregard for personal space and how reckless that move was. I know you can control your quirk and would have hopefully made sure to not harm me with it. But again you did it without warning and things like that most people aren't comfortable with. And the personal space thing does stand, even tho you used your quirk to pull me. You have to remember that our quirks are a part of us. Say if I was to cover your leg in stone, in my opinion that would be a gross overstep of personal boundaries. Because it's not just the rock touching you, that could be seen as me wrapping myself around your leg." She went a little pink thinking about how embarrassing that would be. "That's weird isn't it? You wouldn't want some random classmate you've only just met wrapping themselves around your leg, or pulling a friend you've just made onto the floor. Do you get where I'm coming from Meruem?".

Haley tilted her head as she finished up her ham and cheese sandwich, then wiped any crumbs from her face.

Haley sighed. "Is that really a question? Why wouldn't I come a cheer you up? Yeah sure what you did was a little annoying, but it doesn't make you a bad person. So I did what I hope anyone else would do in that situation. There's no point in ridiculing people after one minor laps in judgement. We are here to be heroes. How could I call myself a hero if I didn't look out for everyone? Even if it's a rival." Sarah took a bite from her apple and chewed it slowly. She let a warm smile cross her face as she finished her apple.

"That's why I'm going to have to head off shortly. I've made someone upset, I need to make it right." She maintained her smile ever tho it was slightly forced at this point. "I've got an apology of my own to deliver.".

Haley smiled at Meruem. "Thank you for understanding." She said as she picked up the pace. "I'll look for you after I'm finished!" She called out as she got further away from Meruem, she couldn't help but think on his comment on him not receiving kindness when he was younger. She had to push these thought to the back of her mind. It was time to find Lucas, after she made her way into the cafeteria she started looking around for Lucas, there were so many people she got slightly shocked. She was happy not to be in the sports uniform.

She patrolled around for about a minute before she caught a glimpse of Lucas eating in silence. She made a B line for him hoping to possibly catch him by surprise.
