Mamoru Akasha

Mamoru considered a close combat weapon for Reina. True, with her gravity powers pretty much anything she could pick up will become a weapon, so perhaps there was no need to specialize in a particular one. Melee weapons are always important too, after all when the enemy is in your face it’ll be far easier to just smack them then it would be to lob a rock at their face. ”True, true. With your kind of power it wouldn’t be hard for you to fight at long range, and even if they’re in your face you could probably use your quirk to keep them away too.’ Reina, Yoshiro, and Mamoru seemed to be in agreement that Reina would need some sort of a melee weapon. Reina wanted to use a blade, and while knives always had their uses Mamoru figured Reina would need something with a bit more mass.

”Hmm… Knives are good, like a tanto or something. But they’re not going to be easy to learn if you’re a beginner. Unless you’re supernaturally talented, you’ll still be a novice even if you train the entire time we’re at Komei. But! If you want to keep using Japanese weapons, I was reading about another that could be useful to you!” Mamoru reached behind her and took out the tonfa, though it wasn’t quite what she intended. She fiddled with the handle until the shorter, perpendicular handle was parallel with the bigger business end.

”It’s a jutte! Well, kinda. Technically it’s a tonfa converted into a jutte but well… Anyways. Old Edo palace guards would use weapons like these since swords were forbidden around the emperor or something. It has a tapered point for piercing attacks, in case you need to shank someone or pin their collar to the wall. But it also has a prong that could be used to snare clothes, jab into someone’s mouth or nose, or even catch blades if you’re good enough. I like my tonfa jutte myself, but I think I saw another version in the armory that had a dagger hidden in it in case you need to cut someone.”

Mamoru didn’t have much need for the more defensive purposes of a jutte, since she had a shield that could block, parry, and trap blades much better than a weapon could. Speaking of her shield Mamoru took a step back and manifested her Aegis to her hand, allowing Yoshiro and Reina to see it up close. ”Watching you fight, you might be better off with a nice sized shield though. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, if you had found my shield when you were at the truck, we’d probably have lost Point C. And while I can’t give you my shield, I certainly know how to use it. Most people wouldn’t think a shield is a good weapon but that’s just because they’ve never used a shield. Have a jutte or a knife in your other hand and when you baddie is reeling from his face smashing, poke em in the guts!” Mamoru offered the shield to Reina to try. It did certainly feel heavy, about ten pounds, and large enough to cover the entirety of Reina’s torso from her chin and down to her hips.

”You’ll probably need a lighter one though. Bucklers are just as good, better for punching and parrying. You just gotta be fast enough to use them. A tower shield is way bigger, and depending on what it’s made it, maybe weighs half as much as you do. But if you could use your gravity powers on your shield then how much it weighs probably wouldn’t matter to you. Heck with your powers you could swing around a thirty pound shield like a whiffle bat.” Mamoru only had a vague idea of what Reina’s powers were capable of. Something about gravity and lifting things around. She figured that Reina could use her same powers to sort of negate the weight and thus the cumbersome useage of heavier objects as weapons.

Donny Yang

As Donny was finishing up the nori cutting Hakura came back with the fillings. She wanted tuna mayo, simple enough. Hakura came back with a whole carton of eggs though, when Donny was probably only going to make six at most. ”Thanks Hakura. Looks like I’ll be eating well today.” Donny went to wash his hands before he filled up a small pot with cold water. Then he set the pot on an oven and let it heat up over medium heat. Donny would check back in about ten minutes, just a few minutes before he’ll flip the rice, to see if the eggs are boiled before he peels them.

Donny decided that he’ll boil twelve quail eggs for his onigiri. While twelve eggs might’ve seemed like a lot, with quail eggs it was more like six or seven eggs equivalent. And Donny was almost certain he was going to be the only one eating them anyways, and he had no problems consuming a fast amount of fatty, high cholesterol foods. As for the tuna mayo Donny looked over to Hakura. While he could make it himself, he wanted to make sure she was doing more than just fetching things for him. ’Tuna mayo is pretty simple. Mix tuna, mayo, and whatever spices you want. Make it chunky, make it thin, whichever.” Donny got Hakura a nice sized bowl, some smaller bowls, and a wooden spoon, all which he had cleaned before handing it to her. ”Admittedly I’ve never used tuna that’s never been in a can, so I can’t say for certain how it’ll taste or what the texture would be like. But we’re here to learn, yeah? Let’s make two batches of the stuff and see how it turns out.”

Donny got himself a clean bowl and spoon to make the tuna mayo filling with. He took a nice fatty party of the meat that Hakura brought, washed it thoroughly, and started breaking it up into chunks in the bowl. However he didn’t make the pieces too thin as he linked chunky tuna. Half the part of enjoying fish was it’s texture. He also garnished in some black pepper, sea salt, and some lemon zest that Hakura had for some reason brought over. He wasn’t sure how the lemon zest would taste, but this was the perfect opportunity to discover. ”So, your dad makes onigiri? Did he teach you how to cook anything else?”

Kasuke Mina

"You could have just said yes..." Mina replied dryly, just trying to buy time as she contemplated his own question to her. She hadn't asked him for a list, but he'd given her one, and now he expected her to do the same. She had been put on the spot. She couldn't just tell him that she didn't have a type. That would be admitting defeat. She would just tell the truth. But....what as the truth? She folded her arms and looked up at the ceiling.

"Well," she finally replied after some thought. "I don't really care about height, but I suppose they shouldn't really be shorter than me. They need to be charming and well mannered, respectful and able to give me space when I need it. They can't just be the average posh boy, though. They need to have, I don't know, that interesting, daring spark..."

She stopped, then blushed ad put her hands on her hips. She released now that everything she'd just said applied to him. In fact, she could be describing him. She needed to correct this.

"Oh, and they can't be irritating in the slightest."

Dulga Tarata

Dulga put her guns away once more. She was feeling too frustrated to keep shooting. Perhaps if she could get some fresh air and hunt some game she'd calm down. But for now Dulga just felt angry that she still couldn't compare to her mother. As Dulga went to get a drink of water she did calm down visibly, merely scowling her eyes at everyone and everything. Anger messes up with her accuracy, and she knew this. Her mother taught her this. Perhaps the reason she did so poorly was because after seeing so many failures, Dulga started to attack more furiously, disregarding the precision needed to rebound her bullets off the surfaces. "I still have a lot to learn." Dulga decided that for now she should stay away from the range and find something else to do. Something to get her mind off her mother's shooting technique and her failure to emulate it perfectly.

As Dulga was looking around for something to help her heroism, she noticed an odd sight: A severed leg on the floor. Or perhaps it was just something laying down next to the bench. Considering the people in her class Dulga was certain that it could be one or the other. Still she did go see what the leg was all about when she noticed it shaking violently. Worried that someone was convulsing or suffering from a stroke Dulga went over to the bench and noticed a sleeping little girl. She wore the school's uniform but Dulga didn't remember seeing her in class. "Hey. Don't sleep here." Dulga stood over the little girl. Her voice was a bit too soft however. Dulga didn't want to attract any unwanted attention so she sat down on the bench and used one of her lower arms to shake the girl awake. "Get up. This isn't break time." Dulga used her other lower hand to lightly tap the girl on her cheek.

Gymnasium

"There isn't any exact right way to stop an armed enemy, the greatest way to combat that is through training." Arsenal answered. Kenichi didn't really feel satisfied with that. "Many heroes have their own way of combating against an armed opponent, martial arts being a popular choice that anyone can learn. I also offer afterschool insructing with hand to hand combat so stop by sometime and I can show you something maybe."

"Yes sir, thanks." Kenichi said with a nod. Martial arts...he had heard about stuff like that in the Japanese Self Defense Force, teaching soldiers to disarm an opponent or take them down before they could fire. If he got stronger and faster, and then stacked technique on top of it, could he manage it against real supervillains? He had never really learned any kind of fighting moves outside of occasional street experience, but he had always won those petty brawls easily because of his Quirk. And because he had "good instincts," as someone had put it once.

But he had already seen some of the others use what looked like martial arts. Could they help him too, along with Arsenal's extra-curricular course? He started pacing around the gym as he counted off names on his fingers.

Ezra and Jett could fight, for sure, but Ezra's moves looked really similar to Kenichi's own. Jett, though, had those kicks...That girl, Kasuke Mina, had mentioned something in class about being a black belt, he was pretty sure. Motome-chan had thrown him that time, did she know something like Judo? And Mamoru was over there talking with Reina and that other guy about swords and the jutte or something, maybe they knew martial arts too?

The blue hair strode over to them with an upraised hand in greeting.

"Hey, 'scuse me!" he said. "Uh, do any of you guys happen to know martial arts?" Seeing the tonfa Mamoru was holding, he added, "More along the lines of hand-to-hand stuff, though. See, I kinda wanna start learning but don't really have any idea where to start..." He looked over at the new guy. "I'm Yoshida Kenichi, by the way. Nice to meetcha." He bowed his head slightly to the taller boy.

Reina Mori | Yashiro, Takeshi

with @Aerandir

Takeshi only glanced at the pink haired Mamoru, during her long ramblings. She talked a lot and said a little. She acted like she knew what was best for Reina’s fighting style, moving from knifes, to tonfa’s to jettas? Then back to the shield idea. He narrowed his eyes how she simply mentioned on pinning people to walls, poking them in the cut with sharp objects. She acted like a sword/knife, hell anything was a toy. Not a dangerous tool meant to be respected and the fact that even the villains were living beings as well. She acted like she knew what she was talking about...but she sounded like a fool. The main fact of the matter is Reina knew what she would want, or need according to the fighting style she thought of. How Mamoru was simply ignoring it and going with what she thought was cool, along with how she acted like she knew what she was doing irritated him to no end. He bit his tongue and looked to Reina.

With a smile "The term you are looking for is short sword, a wakizashi." He did nod "Like Mamoru said," as much as he hated to agree, but it was common knowledge. "It took me over twelve years to be efficient as I am now, fighting with two swords is an advanced skill. However..." He added, not wanting her to feel like a fool. He walked over to the weapon rack, placing the sword in his hand reverently onto its stand and looked over the practice weapons made of wood and polypropylene. Picking up a tonfa and bo staff he walked back to her. "Tonfas could be used similar to a club/sword, But it is still a difficult weapon to train with."

He then lifted the staff. After placing the tonfa down he went on "A bo staff is much easier to learn, and can and is still one of the most effective close combat weapons around. This one, as well..." He said as he noticed it wasn’t a solid piece of wood. "Can break into two parts..." he pushed inward and twisted, the locking mechanism detached leaving him with two wooden parts of the staff, which looked like he was holding two training swords. "You can fight multiple styles. While it’s not two swords, but it can be just as effective and require less training than two swords." He offered the weapon to her, to see if she wanted to see it.

Reina frowned and closed up a bit when Mamoru mentioned the amount of time she’d have to spend to become proficient with a weapon. The girl almost wanted to mention that she was a faster learner—one of the very few good traits she recognized in herself—but somehow, she felt that wouldn’t really matter when dealing with something like this, so she kept herself quiet to not make herself seem even more silly.

The dark-haired girl listened intently to Mamoru, perking up when she saw the makeshift tonfa-jutte, recognizing the type of weapon it was supposed to be immediately. Juttes were certainly neat, closer to what Reina had in mind. Mamoru’s rather violent language got a nervous laugh from the girl.

"I don’t know about... jabbing people’s noses with it, but it seems cool to use defensively..."

Reina looked closely at Mamoru’s shield, nodding subtly as the other girl continued to speak. She took the shield from Mamoru after a momentary surprise at having it offered to her, bouncing it lightly in her hands to begin getting a feel for it.

Reina shook her head softly when Mamoru mentioned a lighter one might be better. The weight felt fine to her—and the heavier it was, the more force it could pack. The girl’s mind was on the truck door she had used. She shook her head again lightly in response to Mamoru’s last statement.

"I... can’t really do that. I can definitely use my quirk to help, but I really have to work with it... like swinging things over my head, I can do that with far heavier objects than I could otherwise... but swinging in a more side-ways arc, that’s not really changed." She paused, thinking over the physics and remembering her battle against Acion. "A bit more force behind the swing, I’d think, but it’s not much easier to do the motion..." She would do well with a shield of some sort, she felt. Her spontaneous use of the door was an okay amount of evidence for that. Learning from Mamoru would be nice too... but Reina wouldn't want to ask the girl to do such a thing, either.

Reina looked to Takeshi as he spoke up. Wakizashi.... She frowned slightly hearing him confirm that it’d take a long time for her to be anywhere near decent with swords.

She perked up seeing the staff that Takeshi went to retrieve. Staves were heroic! Her eyes lit up even further when he demonstrated that this particular one could be split in two—the halves acting almost exactly like the blunt ‘swords’ Reina had had in mind.

The girl carefully handed Mamoru's shield back to take the two halves of the staff that Takeshi offered. She looked at them, heart rate rising just from feeling the weight in her hand. She glanced up to the other two, a faint blush on her cheeks as she wondered what she should do now. She felt like she should swing them around a bit, to see how it felt, but was certain she’d look silly doing so. So instead, Reina settled on putting the two halves back together, and then detaching them herself after a bit of fiddling.

Takeshi watched how Reina took to the collapsible bo staff with stars in her eye, and how she perked up when she saw it. He took it as good indication she liked the idea. He smiled at seeing her blush, seeing her having thoughts rushing through her head. He simply reached down and grabbed the tonfa, putting it back where it belonged before grabbing another staff just like her, spinning behind his back gracefully and with speed. Having it stop in a vertical position along his back, while his arm was tucked behind his waist holding it.

He looked to Mamoru and back to Reina. "While it's all well and good to use your quirk in battle, like throwing a shield around all the time, tailored to your fighting style can be quite effective and threatening, having a separate fighting style that does not rely on your quirk at all is all the more important and more dangerous. Incase you come against someone who can nullify your power, or your fighting style. Switching it up can quite often lead to a victory."

He looked at her as she fiddled with the staff. "If you so wish, I can teach you if you like how to use both styles, I am no master, but I am quite familiar and effective with this weapon as well."

The girl was almost visibly startled by Takeshi’s offer, even nearly jumping in her surprise. She looked at him with wide eyes, expression completely uncertain. Instinctively, she shook her head immediately.

"Th-that’s okay!... I’m, um... I’ll figure it out on my own... probably..." The girl closed in on herself as she spoke, glancing away from the two and even physically taking a step back. "Y-You don’t... need to spend your time for me... like that... i-it’s not really worth it..."

A familiar voice she associated with loudness came along—perhaps thankfully, helping to remove some of the attention on her. Reina glanced towards Kenichi for a moment, looking away to the ground to hide her face, knowing it was embarrassingly pink judging from the heat she felt. She was however, stopped from completely spiraling into a torrent of negative thoughts upon hearing Kenichi voice the same thing she had felt—a complete lack of knowledge on where to begin with using a weapon. The girl glanced up again, calming down slightly as she curiously wondered what Mamoru and Takeshi would say to him.

Takeshi frowned as she suddenly declined his offer, it was her choice, but he still thought he didn’t overstep any bounds. She then went onto explain that she would figure it out, and that he didn’t need to spend his time for her. With a confused look on his face he looked at the girl. He offered his time to her. So to him he thought it was worth it. The fact the girl was so hard on herself saying his time was not worth being wasted on her made him think of a similar situation back home. "Mori-san… I would not offer if I did not wish to spend..."

Before he could finish another student came over with blue hair. He introduced himself as Yoshida Kenichi after asking if any of them knew Martial arts. He nodded and bowed back to Yoshida. "A pleasure to meet you Yoshida-san. I am Yashiro Takeshi, I was formally trained in Budo… A mixed martial arts taught to samurai of old, consisting of Karate, Judo, aikido, among others." He often had to explain this, sadly many japanese did not even know this small fact of their history, it had been lost to many save his family, and a few other samurai family that had held onto traditions like his.

He could see the fire in this one's eyes, he had a lot of spirit, but the way he spoke and walked he could see he was not a trained fighter, that and the fact he admitted he wanted to learn was another. He must have an interesting quirk.

Jett Haven

He simply shrugged when she said he could have just said yes. He could have but he wanted to answer all her questions. As she looked up to the ceiling he glanced at the timer he had set for the rice. They still had some time. He pulled out a wooden cutting board and placed it on the counter just next to the rice that was still soaking up the water. Preparing to dump the rice onto it. She then began to give her list. His eyebrow seemed to raise with each trait he seemed to possess. Was she trying to say him or...

She suddenly put her hands on her hips, a blush on her face yet again. But his smile did not last when she intentionally added that the man should not be irritating in the slightest. He sighed. He should have guessed something like that was going to be coming. He thought a moment, looking away from her as he looked to the others in the room. His arms crossed over his chest. Well that's no fun. If you had someone who gave you no irritation at all you would get bored Irritation keeps ya on your toes." He smiled and gave her a wink before moving from his spot. Suddenly switching gears looked at the timer and said, Now when this timer goes off in a minute, we want to dump the rice onto the cutting board and gently spread out the rice with a rice spoon, and once it cools down a bit we will start forming them.

Yukari | Ezra | JoJo

After going through the obstacle course Yukari went to get a drink of water. It was a nice warm up and she was eager to try something more challenging. She wanted to test the gadgets out against a real enemy. Robots were possible, but most villains had quirks that made each one unique to fight against. Walking around the class Yukari tried to listen for people who seemed interested in fighting. Perhaps, if she really had to, she cold ask Jojo for a spar. Yukari didn’t want to impose on her, but she had to find some way to make it up to her for the accident back at the classroom, even if she had to beat her up for it. Which now that Yukari thought about it, seemed very stupid.

JoJo went off walking around looking at the random bolt of electricity surging between her fingertips before submerging beneath her skin wrapped around the rest of her body. She sighed and continued to shuffle along trying to find some batteries to charge or something to take the small surplus of energy off her hands. The idea to use the practice machines in the obstacle as a means to an end backfired on her tremendously as the robots didn’t put up much of a fight, leaving JoJo with double the electro kinetic output than before putting the girl at an even ten percent of maximum. At this point, the surge of random spurts could be seen forming around her head like a halo that faded away after a moment only to reappear just as bright as before. JoJo was getting more and more irritated as the day went on which just wasn’t cool and to top it all off because of the light effects her body gives off coupled with the fact she was a walking shortage waiting to happen garnered her some very unwanted attention. That’s when the thought struck her to have a sparring match against a classmate, they were sure to be tougher than robots and might even let her sort herself out.

Ezra had already tried out some of the equipment once he had gotten to the gym. He’d had experience with guns despite Japan’s laws through friends, and whilst it wasn’t necessarily legal, it was certainly fun. Guns weren’t his strong suit however, and he found a more prevalent liking for the grenades and the melee weapons. He’d never bothered to train with one but he felt confident at using a sword due to the practice that he’d had with knives, especially a useful weapon during the street brawls he used to partake in.

He wanted to have a go at using a bladed weapon and having more fun with the grenades, but the majority of people seemed to be occupied. It was at this moment that he had noticed a girl looking around seamlessly, yet she didn’t seem to have any idea what was around her. He didn’t really know what was going on in this regard, but she seemed as if she was searching for someone. Figuring that he could perhaps find someone to spar through this, he figured he’d help her out.

“Yo. Are ya lookin’ for someone or ya just nervous?” he spoke, his heavy accent showing a large usage of slang. He looked at her, but it seemed as if she wasn’t looking back in a sense, and he couldn’t quite figure it out.

Turning towards a boy’s voice, Yukari felt like she heard it before. She assumed he was in her class and she just didn’t remember his name. ”Oh, hello! I am looking for someone actually. I wanted to try using some of these gadgets on someone. I only kinda know how they work, but I want to see how well I can use them against someone who’s actually fighting back.” Yukari looked towards Ezra eagerly though she was off a few inches and staring at the wall far behind him. ”Would you might training with me? If it’s not too much trouble anyways.”

Ezra looked back surprised. She had the same intention as him? It was odd to him in a way, because she looked to be somewhat helpless, but he couldn’t quite figure it out. She definitely wasn’t an inexperienced fighter, at least as far as he could gauge. He quickly came to the conclusion that she was blind after looking into her eyes properly, and seeing that her line of vision was skewed somewhat away from him. He figured this would be an interesting opportunity.

“If you’re lookin’ to spar, I’ll take ya on. I’m gonna go all out though, aight?” he spoke with an excitement as he cracked his knuckles in preparation. He’d never fought a blind girl before, he felt like a bully trying to beat up cripples but at the same time, he figured that to be accepted, and so confident in your ability, that you must be able to overcome the weakness that she had. Perhaps she had made it into a strength.

Yukari nodded her head eagerly. She appreciated this person’s enthusiasm. ”My name is Yukari Yozakura! You can just call me Yukari though. I have a room ready for us to use. It’ll simulate an urban environment, like alleyways and rooftops. If you need to get any gear I’ll wait for you over there!” Yukari turned to head back to her training room, running and falling into a sign that said “Watch where you’re going”. After getting up Yukari headed straight towards her training room.

Ezra hid his laughter as she tripped into the sign, but he figured that this girl must have been capable enough, even if she wasn’t proving his point at that time. Yukari. He’d remember it. He’d have to introduce himself in the training exercise as he headed over and got the equipment that he desired. A mixture of items, but mostly containing different types of throwables and grenades, but also a few combat knives, a sword and a few other throwable bladed weapons.

Before long, Ezra found himself in the room, face to face with Yukari. He figured he’d introduce himself before the fight had begun.

Joann turned around thinking the boy was walking to her and discovered he was actually speaking to Yukari. Placing her hands on her hips, she leaned back and watched to two have a conversation about fighting, that was a surprise, she didn’t know Yukari was the fighting type being so careful and all on top of everything she knew she was blind and honestly didn’t think the girl could fight. Well, she hadn’t found an opposite, but this would be interesting, if nothing else she’d get to see Yuka fight and the fact JoJo was a little protective of her being that she helped her get here and now felt responsible spurred her into motion. Hands in her pockets and very deep lean in her back JoJo shuffled behind the two none chillingly at a very large distance, just close enough she could catch a glimpse at where they were headed.

“This should be interesting, ” she thought to herself reaching up instinctively to straighten her nonexistent hat.

“I’m Ezra Jasekade. Just call me Ezra, no need to worry about honorifics. I’m not going to hold back, but if you want to try something in particular and need me to ease up, I’ll do so considering it’s a training exercise to test new things. If we wanna stop, just tap out.” he spoke as he nodded his head toward her with a grin. Even though he wanted to fight her, he didn’t want to kick the shit out of a blind girl to have her get extremely hurt from it.

“Let’s begin.”

Yukari and Ezra would be fighting in a fairly narrow area, with only ten feet of space between one wall to the other. There were a few handholds and ledges sticking out of the walls around them in case they needed to climb up. Yukari certainly intended to take advantage of them. The pillars were only twenty feet tall, easy for Yukari to climb but she wasn’t sure how well Ezra could climb. She also doesn’t know what sort of equipment he had either, and she couldn’t tell from just looking. So while Yukari had the advantage of choosing the place to fight, she still didn’t know enough about Ezra to think she’ll have it easy. ”That’s fine, it’s just like a real fight.”

Tugging the gauntlets over her hands Yukari turned towards Ezra with a smile. ”Thank you again for accepting my challenge, Ezra. I set an alarm to go off five minutes after I give a signal to end the fight. It’s just training after all.” Snapping the hoops onto her upper arms and adjusting the scarf around her shoulders Yukari took a deep breath and go into a stance. It looked like a boxing stance, with her arms tucked in and her head pointed forward. She closed her eyes to hone her sense as she shouted out.

”Battle on!”

Yukari opened her attack by loosening two of the hoops from her arms and flinging them towards Ezra. Despite being blind she was able to tell where exactly he was as both the hoops zeroed in on different parts of his body. One was flung towards his eyes while another went from his left leg. If the hoops struck Ezra they would expand, wrap around his body, and tighten together.

Ezra had let out a cheeky grin the moment she had engaged the fight. Both rings had been within his field of vision, and he had no idea what they were capable of, but he figured he’d get to use the first of his items immediately. He’d already had it within his grip as he was going to use it as an opener. He undid the pin as the hoops grew closer and closer and smashed a smoke grenade into the ground as he quickly made a move to dodge. The hoops were thrown well but as they were a distance apart and full visibility was present as they were thrown, it was an easy sidestep for someone who was used to dodging glass bottles and rocks.

As the smoke field grew, Ezra kept his movements as slow and minimal as possible, hoping the sound of the emission would lead the blind girl elsewhere. He slowly unsheathed his knife and spun it in his hands as quietly as possible before waiting to see her next move.

Yukari charged towards Ezra just as he popped the smoke grenade. The sound of the smoke, followed by the smell, messed with her senses a bit but she knew that he was trying to hide his position. But in these narrow corridors there was only so many places he could be. And while the smell and noise was messing with Yukari’s senses, she still had a vague idea of where Ezra was at, while he wouldn’t be able to see, hear, or smell her.

While hidden in the smoke Yukari climbed up the wall, going ten feet high. Grabbing onto a handhold Yukari then grasped her capturing cloth and whipped it wide across the alleyway towards Ezra’s head. Surely he wouldn't expect an attack from above.

JoJo’s eyes widened as she observed the fight more impressed with Yuka than anything else; it would appear even being blind, she could use her other senses to locate or at the very least approximate an enemy’s location. The lean in her back slowly began to get less and less apparent, so she could see how the fight unfolded even more. It would appear her quirk was something akin to a rubber band, being able to stretch her limbs and snap them back into shape a very versatile ability indeed making her able to dodge things most people couldn’t.

Ezra had been so focused on maintaining a low profile that he’d failed to realize the sound of footsteps was Yukari climbing, and he’d failed to anticipate an aerial assault. As he saw the string of cloth move toward his face, he ducked, leaving it to connect with his shoulder as it wrapped around the joint between his arm and shoulder. Ezra had no response to this, although the shock factor of the sudden attack had set in, it was quickly replaced with a malicious smile.

Whilst she’d managed to attach to him, she had failed to realize that Ezra’s strong suit was his strength, and attaching yourself via a very strong material was a foolish mistake unless she wished to ditch the item. He grabbed the cloth and with all his strength, swung it toward the ground, using his quirk to accelerate the rate at which it did this enhancing further the force behind it.

Pulling the cloth taut Yukari nearly cried in joy as she had managed to hit Ezra. But she wasn’t able to get a cheer out when she felt the clothing being forcefully pulled towards the ground. She had expected Ezra to pull against her, but he was much stronger than he looked and forced Yukari to the ground. ”Oofph! Not bad! But not enough!” Yukari landed on her feet just fine and utilized the forceful pull to close the distance between the two of them. So the moment she landed on the ground she would be just barely out of the smoke cloud. That’s when Yukari tossed the other end of the capturing cloth at Ezra, now with much more accuracy since he was pulling on one end of it. Yukari had the cloth retract towards her as she tossed the other end to get Ezra off balance too, so he couldn’t just dodge out of the way.

Ezra was surprised that the girl was able to land on her feet as he had yanked the cloth to the floor. He was even more surprised to learn about her reckless assault into him as she threw the other end of the cloth, which had connected with his other arm, as she had begun to pull the other cloth. He saw zero chance of dodging,, so he let it happen. It wasn’t an ideal situation for him, and his movement had become restricted, but he had specialized in close quarters combat, and he was definitely stronger than her by a large margin, so it wasn’t as restrictive as she likely thought.

He figured he’d use this to his advantage as he began his advance, knife still in hand. He figured the material must have been pretty durable given as it hadn’t tore when he had pulled it. So he figured he’d go to tradition, the tool that had taken Jett out. He began pulling on both ends of the cloth, hoping to bring her within headbutt range as he let out another grin. She was proving to be more challenging than he had expected.

By this time JoJo was standing upright with her arms crossed, looking at the battle with a smirk on her face impressed by both of them, maybe this school would present a challenge to the bored girl after all. Now she is actually itching to fight someone her muscles tensed up and relaxed repeatedly building and releasing more energy that circulated throughout her body, causing her hair to lift upward slightly as if a gentle breeze was flowing through it when it was actually pure static.

“Should I cheer for her?” she wondered “Nah, that’s not a main character thing to do.”

Feeling another tug Yukari grinned as she captured Ezra. This was working better than expected. But just like before it was too early to celebrate. Ezra started pulling Yukari towards him. She tried to pull back but when she noticed her arms stretching she knew that Ezra could out muscle her. ”I can’t overpower him, I’ll have to take him headon!” Holding tightly onto the cloth Yukari had both ends retract as they slingshotted Yukari directly towards Ezra. They would meet head-to-head, literally, as Yukari aimed her skull right towards his chin.

When they both crashed together something else happened. Yukari still had six more hoops on her arms, and when she tumbled into Ezra they all went off. Before either of them could realize what was happening the hoops expanded and stabbed around their bodies. Yukari was too close to avoid being captured as well. Once they both hit the ground, they were stuck together by six large metal bands around their arms and torsos. Yukari and Ezra were chest-to-chest, with their heads right next to each other.

JoJo was completely into this fight, way more than she should have been though she continued to look onward stonily not wanting to break her own character. Just as the climax looked like it was about to erupt something rather unexpected happened, tangling Yuna and the boy up together chest to chest, it seemed that she wasn’t the only one whose get accidentally violated by the pink haired girl today, causing a light chuckle to escape her lips. JoJo shook her head and began to walk to the entrance to the Colosseum, it was quite clear the fight was over now, she didn’t think Yuna had the fighting spirit to continue after something embarrassing happened.

“Oh bother.”

”Huh?”

Yukari tried to get out, but these bands were tighter than she had expected. She underestimated these things; normally she could squeeze through anything but these bands had a tight grip on her body. Not to mention she was pressed against Ezra. She could feel his body heat against her chest, and even feel his heartbeat through her breasts. Yukari’s face grew cherry red as she let out a soft, awkward squel.

Ezra noticed that her arms stretched as he pulled her, but he noted quickly that she used the momentum to fly straight into him headfirst. This girl was crazy in combat and he liked that type of confidence, and he had figured out her quirk in essence. It wasn’t long before they had crashed into each other however, but something that had completely had taken him off guard was when the rings around her arm had expanded.

Within seconds, the situation had gotten far more awkward. Ezra had never really experienced female contact in that sort of way before, and whilst he wasn’t particularly bothered or embarrassed by it, she clearly was. She even let out a low squeal as they stayed connected for a few seconds.

“Are ya alright? We can call it off and sort this out since ya seem really bothered by this. Hold on.” he spoke in a reassuring tone as he tried to wrestle his arms free from the rings to no avail.

“These are yours. Any idea how to get em off?” He spoke, trying to keep a low, relaxed tone in order to not startle the woman he was stuck to. Her breasts squished into him and it slightly embarrassed him, although he didn’t necessarily blush. She wasn’t exactly the most voluptuous frame but curves became obvious when she was pressed so tightly against him.

”Um… We need a magnetic key. That… I didn’t get.” Yukari’s face grew even more red as she realized just what sort of a predicament they were in. She did not expect this to happen at all. She wasn’t really sure what she should do. She felt that maybe if she could squirm around some more, she might be able to get loose. But she worried that if she did these bands would just get tighter and make things more difficult for themselves. ”We need to get up, somehow. Can you bend your knees?” While Yukari was stuck to Ezra, she could still manipulate her arms and legs just fine. Stretching them further out of the bonds, she slowly started pushing the two up and onto their feet.

Ezra wanted to respond to her comment, but he couldn’t. His legs had been locked by one of the hoops that had surrounded them. He shook his head at the girls comment before looking at the girl's face due to the awkward position that they were in. He’d consciously been aware of his breathing and this made it exceptionally awkward for him. He had a look at her face and to him, she was exceptionally attractive, at least as much so as Kaida, if not more, but perhaps it was the situation that was making this so. He was so confused as to why the fuck he was thinking a blind girl he was supposed to be fighting in such a way.

“I can’t move my legs. There’s another hoop around em’. I’m sorry about this, it was kinda my bad. I shouldn’t have pulled ya in like that.” he spoke somewhat apologetically, realizing that this situation was much more awkward than he wanted it to be as he blushed slightly as he found himself realizing that this was a lot weirder than he wanted it to be.

”It’s, fine!” Yukari said as she tried to get the two of them standing. She at least managed to push herself off the ground, but trying to lift Ezra up too was harder than it looked. He was effectively dead weight even though he was trying to help. ”It’s fine. This was practice after all, this was bound to happen eventually.” Eventually Yukari managed to get the both of them on their feet, but only Yukari could really move thanks to her quirk. And again, without help from Ezra Yukari couldn’t go far.

”Ugh. We got to loosen these things somehow. Do you have any other gadgets on you that might help?”

“Oh bother.” JoJo’s voice rang out as she appeared behind the two with her hands firmly lodged in her pockets in her signature lean walk. She continued to walk towards to two who were currently being held together by a gadget that was made for people like Yukari in mind much to her dismay. “And here I thought I’d be the only one ‘assaulted’ by you today.” She said in a more sarcastic tone the extra bit or electrical energy was having an adverse effect on her personality. “Well, it looks like you two need some help, maybe this trinket would solve the issue.”’ JoJo explained, holding up the magnetic key to release the two.

Yukari’s ears perked up when she heard Jojo’s voice approaching. She was happy to know Jojo was here to help. But Yukari was also horrible aghast because Jojo found Yukari in such a compromising position. ”Jojo-san! I-It’s not what it looks like! We were just sparring each other and things just got heated, and well I came onto Ezra-san and we got tangled up like this…” Yukari tried to explain the situation, albeit poorly. Her face grew red and her body turned hot as she was practically dying of embarrassment. If it got any worse she could probably melt out of these hoops. Yukari spoke in a rather hushed and quiet voice as she tried to hide herself. ”... Please help us.”

Ezra was going to devise a plan for them to escape when he had heard the voice of another student. This was bad. The way that the situation looked, it seemed as if he had trapped the girl and was forcing her to do this to him. It was especially bad because she was blind. He already had a repertoire of a being a dirty fighter and dishonorable, and the fact that he was in this situation was not helping. It was his first day for fucks sake. He was flustered for the first time in maybe 10 years.

“We were sparring, and she had these weird ring things. It’s not what it looks like, I promise you.” he spoke as he looked away from the new arrival, genuinely embarrassed about how he got like this as he continued to feel the girl's breasts press against him. It genuinely did not help his situation and if he his body were to react to this, he would be in deep shit. He was just glad that it was too awkward for that to happen.

JoJo held up her hand, motioning for them to stop explaining, seeing as how her joke was taken literally. “I was watching the fight Yuka, no need to speak to me like a lover who was caught red handed.” Joann said using the magnetic key to release the two from their awkward predicament, it was a nifty piece of equipment that seemed to specialize in the capture of very flexible villains. Kicking the entrapment gadget away to ensure no one was locked up again JoJo rolled her shoulders around to pop them. “Though it's out of character, watching your fight got me a little restless and I still need to get rid of this energy I’ve collected, what I’m saying is either one of you two want to go at it?” JoJo asked plainly.

Rolling off of Ezra, Yukari quickly got to her feet and started to bow at Jojo repeatedly. ”Thank you thank you thank you! I’m so sorry I have to keep causing you trouble, Jojo-san. Please let me make it up to you! I’ll challenge you!” Yukari said with gratefulness confidence. Before their little accident Yukari thought she was actually doing quite well. She hoped to try and prove herself again, perhaps this time without any silly gadgets.

Ayato Kamina

After taking in Arsenal's lesson, he began to practice loading ammo and inserting the clip. After he felt confident in that, he donned some ear and eye protection. He flipped a switch in his cubicle that raised the glass shield and a single paper target. Kamina took a deep breath before he began to glow yellow. He felt warm. He lifted the glock and began to line up the target. His enhanced senses made it rather easy. He placed the target between the rear sights, and then covered it with the front sight. He didn't pull the trigger though. The sights were shaking on the target. He couldn't stay completely steady. After a minute of trying to focus, he decided that he needed to figure out a way to steady himself.

He decided to use the wall as a base. It was sort of awkward, but it worked. At least mostly. He started to put pressure on the trigger, but the gun pull to the right as he pulled the trigger. He was getting a little frustrated. It was impressive how anyone was able to shoot so accurately. After a few trials, he finally put enough pressure on the trigger to fire. The jolt surprised him a little, but he still kept a firm hold of the gun. He looked down range to see he had hit the bullseye. He really only nicked the top right corner of it, and it only took him four minutes to actually shoot the gun, but he technically hit it. "I got it!" He shouted as he raised his hands in the air and the gun too. He quickly put it down and looked around to make sure no one saw it. "I hit the target." He said more controlled as he turned to the target and began to practice some more.

The trap Tomoe had set out didn't appear to be working at all. Some random person from what was suppose to be her class noticed her leg right away immediately blowing her cover. Tomoe was far off in sleep however dreaming on how she was a fantastic gunslinger in her own dream world, she would safe anyone and everyone by shooting the baddies.

There was no greater gunslinger hero in town then her, but then it all ended when there was a sudden earthquake in the school or something, or it was just a girl shaking her violently to wake her up, one of the two. Tomoe made a slight groan as she felt her body shake slightly but remained asleep. The feeling of soft slaps on her cheek got her attention however. She groaned yet another time before softly opening her eyes indicating the waking up had worked. A gray haired girl with a weird looking mask had woken her up. Tomoe seemed drowsy at first not realising what was happening but formed a flustered smile on her face once her mind started working again. Looking up at the girl Tomoe gave a short wave as she opened her mouth.

"Hai, hai, my name is Tomoe. Nice to meet you. Did you wake me up because class ended?"

Tomoe slowly sat herself upright and glanced around a bit seeing that the rest of her class was mostly still doing the same thing as before. Was she needed for something else perhaps? Tomoe poked both her hands up in the air, holding one of her wrists with her other hand as she stretched herself out while giving a wide long yawn. With a slow pace she checked if her uniform and hair was still on the right place before getting herself up from the ground with a bit of support from the bench next to herself. Once up she brushed her hands over her skirt 2 times on both sides to clean it off a little.

Being up from the ground now her eyes wandered to the girl that woke her just now. She gave a soft smile with a light angle of her head. The girl was quite tall for this year of high school, it was surprising to have a giant in her class. For some reason she was dragging a green rag around covering her school uniform up for the most part. The mask was however the weirdest thing really, why would she wear a mask? Unless it had something to do with her quirk Tomoe wouldn't guess what the mask would be for.

"Are you in my class? I didn't really meet anyone here yet."

While talking Tomoe had her eyes focussed on her foot rather than the girl, she was fumbling around with her foot, twisting it on the tip on the ground before her as Tomoe continued further with her words.

"You are quite tall for a girl, I think. It is tiring to have my neck bend this much to look at you."

Tomoe stopped with fumbling with her foot and looked Dulga directly in the eyes instead, once telling her how tiring it was to bend her neck she took a step forward resting her chin again her chest while still staring at her face. Tomoe gave the girl another soft smile before continuing on like this was a normal situation.

"Do you know what we are suppose to do during this class?"

Haruka Sanegeyama

Haruka nodded, smiling a little. She was glad to be of help, and appreciation being showed was a lovely feeling. She gave assistance where possible in the preparation with the eggs, which admittedly hadn't been too much just yet. But still, it was helping, and that counted enough as progress for something like this so far.

When given direction to do something on her own, she felt a spike of some feeling flare up. It wasn't quite anxiety this time, she didn't think. Something more like somewhat nervous excitement. "Oh, that doesn't sound too hard," she replied, taking the ingredients Donny gave her. She waited a moment to see how he prepared it, then followed suit, cleaning the fish off before breaking it apart and mixing in the other things. She went for pepper, salt, and just a little bit of some herb blend that smelled nice on the shelf.

"Ehh," Haruka began. "S-sorta? I can make boiled water pretty well," she joked. "Tea and stuff like that, but not anything really complicated." She mostly cooked either pre-packaged or otherwise extremely simple things for herself, which was less 'cooking' and more 'preparing,' when she thought about it.

When the rice was done, Haruka took some and did what she remembered her dad doing with it, shaping it into the proper onigiri shape with some effort to keep it symmetrical. She added her tuna filling to them as she made them, intensely focused on getting their shape just right. She'd come this far, she couldn't bear to mess it up now. "You got this. Just like dad does. Get that triangle shape going," she thought, adding the seaweed wrappings to the bottom once she was satisfied with the rice's newfound geometry.

ACION

Click.

Acion was caught by complete surprise.

Such recoil...

The gun immediately shot up 30 degrees into the air after a few shots were fired. And it would have continued even further if his finger kept gluing itself to the trigger. Right after the shots, Acion could feel his hand numbing a little bit due to how powerful the gun's mechanic had shaken him.

Acion took a few minutes resting before trying again. The same result.

Why? He was standing pretty much in perfect stances, having a solid base, leaning slightly forward, and holding it tightly, but not too tight. And yet the gun had retaliated so hard he couldn't keep it where he wanted it to be, despite the effort. The answer lied not only in stances, but in raw strength in itself. Putting it simply, Acion was not strong enough to handle it yet.

'Well, I guess I'm not fated to use you yet.'

But he would return later. When his training with the armor his sister bought him. And then he would use it again. And next time he would master it.

Putting the thing back in its original place, the winged boy continued to look in awe at the infrastructure of the gymnasium. It was indeed extraordinary to be able to use such equipment. He quietly repented himself for not trying any other of the simulations here. It looked awesome and very educational. Something that he would definitely require to enhance his skills and strength.

He would return here after school. For sure.

Mamoru Akasha

Mamoru glanced at her own sasumata when Reina was offered a bo staff. She supposed that polearms don't stop being staffs just because they had some fancy cap at the end of them. Mamoru certainly intended to use hers as a giant club should any unfortunate opponent bypass the business end. "A shield and staff style would be good for defensive fighting. You'll have the reach of a staff without sacrificing much of your defense." Indeed, Mamoru was going to give that style a try in the training room. As for Reina's comment about the nose jabbing, Mamoru smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "I know it sounds silly, but it's a legit technique. Your nose isn't exactly as hard as say, your forehead, and I don't know many guys who'd still want to fight when you rip their nostril open. It's brutal but it ends fights."

Reina explained how her quirk worked more, namely that while swinging things up and down would be easier with her quirk, moving it to the side would be tougher. That would be an issue if Reina wanted to really learn how to use a shield. ”Shield’s aren’t hammers, so unless you have a big one doing a more smashing motion, probably wouldn’t happen that often. Even then you’re better off crushing their feet than bopping them in the face with an overhead smack. You really should get maybe a more medium shield, since a shield is fairly useless if you can’t move it to protect yourself.” Mamoru suspected that her own shield could, one day, become bigger or smaller to suit her needs so she actually has tried to practice with different sizes. While she still likes her medium shield for balance she has also taken a liking to tower shields for their ability to produce a lot of power over a very small space of movement.

Yoshiro mentioned the need to change up your fighting style to not always need your quirk, which Mamoru could agree with. All the more reason she was testing out a variety of weapons and equipment to see what works for her. Tonfas felt fairly comfortable to Mamoru, like a lighter, more offensive shield. She could also use it like a club or even an axe, striking with all her force concentrated on the perpendicular handle rather than just the shaft. Putting said tonfa away Mamoru also took her shield back from Reina, holding it in her hands. ”Ah yes, the constant battle between specialization and versatility. What did that one old martial artist once say, better to be able to do one kick a thousand times than a thousand different kicks? Something like that. He should learn some punches too, and many a throw or two.”

That’s when Reina, offer Yoshiro offered to teach her how to use her weapons, backed away and mentioned that she’d figure something out herself. Mamoru pouted and took a step towards Reina. ”Reirei, everyone is here to learn. Even if you’re a old master like Yoshi-kun here, or a complete novice like us, we can always learn from each other. And if you’re more the type who’d rather learn through fighting than through lesson, great! I was actually about to head to the training room to set up a combat simulation against a bunch of gun-toting robots.” Putting her weapons down and dismissing her shield Mamoru went up to Reina and held her hand, just to make sure the shyer girl didn’t try to run or say anything depreciating about herself.

”Silliness aside being a hero isn’t about fighting, it’s about helping people. Especially each other. I’ll admit, Yoshiro-kun is likely a way better fighter than I am. So learn from him, like I will. Just as well if you want to learn how to use a shield let me show you what I can do. It may be all that I have, but you can do so much more with it. And I’d like nothing more than to see you become a great hero.”

Shortly after her little speech Kenichi came in asking if anyone knew martial arts. Mamoru smiled and pointed at herself. ”Not me! I only know how to fight by fighting. You know how to throw a punch and take a hit, so that covers the basics. Anything in particular you wanted to know? Probably something about disarming bad guys, yeah?” Not that Mamoru was particularly skilled at disarming enemies either, but again that’s why she was going to go into the training room and pit herself against waves and waves of robots with her variety of weapons, most intended to entrap and disarm, instead of just a giant club she club crush them all with. And the only reason she hasn’t done that yet is because she hasn’t found a giant club.

Donny Yang

Donny chuckled as Hakura mentioned that she could make boiled water. "That makes one of us at least." He said in a lighthearted manner. Speaking of boiled water it looked like his eggs were done and it was time to flip the rice. A few minutes later the rice would be ready to make onigiri with. "Careful, they're still hot." Donny said as he felt the steam coming off the rice. Going over to his quail eggs Donny poured out the scalding hot water before filling the pot with cold water, to help cool his hands as he peeled the shells of the eggs. He worked quite fast and precise, removing the eggshells in about a minute. The eggs were still warm by the time he was done peeling them, even after putting them into cold water.

When it came time to actually make the onigiri Donny washed his hands and filled up another small bowl with water and sea salt. He covered his hands with a light layer of water so that the rice didn't stick to his hands before he set out to work. This was when Donny truly began to shine. In the time it took Hakura to make one onigiri, Donny had made two; one with his tuna mix and another with a quail egg. Donny was moving so fast he was practically juggling between laying out the rice, placing the filling, shaping it into a nice rectangular pyramid, and then decorating with nori. But he didn't just put a single strip, oh no. Donny went all out. His face grew hard as he scowled through the rice and filling, as if he was doing surgery. He simply became a flurry of limbs as he created a total of thirty onigiri, twelve with eggs, fourteen with tuna, and four plain ones because he got overzealous with the tuna.

By the time Donny was finished he looked fairly proud of his work. There were a few droppy eye onigiri's, and a couple that weren't completely packed. Donny set these aside and would eat them first. He glanced over to Hakura and then to everyone else before looking at at his partner. "So... Can we eat them now?" Donny really wanted to eat them, especially his egg onigiri, while they were still warm. They were just fine cold but it was hard to heat them up once they cooled down so the warm taste of a boiled egg and steamed rice wasn't going to be something easily achievable once it becomes cooler. Donny was also interested in sharing and trying everyone else onigiri's. He smelled mackerel from one of the other workstations and was eager to eat his favorite fish.

Kasuke Mina

Mina shook her head at that reply, and sighed. That statement made absolutely no logical sense. He was no doubt looking for anything she was saying or doing that could be twisted. "So, you're saying that I actually want to be irritated by you? Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night, Jett."

After a short while, the timer reached zero, and as instructed, she drained the rice, gathered it o the cutting board, and spread it out. "Now, we just have to wait for the rice to cool, right?...Why does cooking have so much waiting?"

Dulga Tarata

Sighing Dulga shook her head as she stood up from the bench. "This going to be another one of those people, isn't it?" Tomoe asked Dulga a few questions and generally came off as a rather lazy student. Dulga wasn't sure how she was able to pass the exam, without without a powerful quirk. Dulga really started to question the application process of Komei before she put her thoughts elsewhere. "Class isn't over yet. I'm in your class. And you're here to train."

Dulga put a hand on Tomoe's shoulder as she took a step back, this way Tomoe didn't end up falling on her face as she leaned against Dulga. She had worried that Tomoe might have been hurt but instead it seems like she was just lazy. "Go find a weapon and learn how to use it. Or talk to the teacher. Just don't go sleeping around during class. Or else you'll get into trouble." Dulga probably shouldn't baby this girl too much however. If she couldn't be bothered to train and improve herself, Dulga wasn't going to sacrifice her time helping her. Even if Dulga wanted too.

"I'm leaving now."

Roy Kusayanagi Kaida Beumont

It seemed like Kaida had already put one on as well as fixing her hair into a bun giving Roy a full view of her face. His face turning a little red at how pretty she was, Mom would tease me so hard if she saw me right now. "You look pretty with your hair up, I can see your face fully" Roy said giving a genuine smile as He put the apron on and rolled up his sleeves taking his time in order to keep his shirt from getting wrinkled. He noticed Kaida had already started with cleaning the rice.

"Yeah after you finish washing the rice, we are going to place it in the rice cooker. Considering this is domesticated rice, washing it thoroughly should improve the flavor. While you do that I am going to marinate the beef while. Roy searched through for a cutting board, knife, and small dish pan, he frowned a bit feeling like something was missing before lighting up."Ginger and one more thing" he said under his breath before heading over to Connoisseur and grabbing the items. He grabbed a draining bowl and placed the garlic and Ginger inside to wash them quickly in the sink before taking the Ginger out and slicing the ginger into 8 pieces and placing them at bottom of the pan as well as 2 pieces of garlic cut into 4 and placing it with the ginger. "You don't seem like a stranger to the kitchen Kaida" Roy then poured soy sauce, Rice wine, olive oil, and his last ingredient, maple syrup before stirring the ingredients with a spoon spreading a sweet and tangy aroma. "This is a recipe my mother uses, some people might strike using maple syrup with beef strange but when the beef gets cooked it will have a nice glaze to it." the boy was genuinely happy when he cooked completely forgetting he was at a top academy.

Kaida looked at Roy as he came back, eyes wide when he said that she was pretty with her hair up. She blushed and pulled her chin to her shoulder. First she’s called a beautiful angel, now roy has said she has a beautiful smile and pretty with her hair up. She didn’t know what to say… she only shyly said ”Thank you.”

She took the rice and placed it in the rice cooker, she glanced at mina, as she watched her put water with it. She copied it as well, looking over to Roy when he mentioned she was no stranger to the kitchen. She nodded, “I have no experience with asian food, but I learned how to cook french cuisine from Jauq our head cook back home.”

He then went on to explain how this was his mother's recipe, She watched him as he seemed in his own little world. “Is your mother a cook?” she asked.

Roy kept stirring the marinade until it was nice and mixed it, smiling as Kaida thanked him, her reply to his statement of her looking comfortable in the kitchen caught him a little by surprise, “Head chef? So you must come from a wealthy family. Explains the whole home schooling thing too.”, Roy took his knife, and seasoned the steak with salt and pepper before rubbing the beef in the marinade. “I wouldn’t say a cook because she doesn’t make a living from it but she knows how to cook well, I would often help her in the kitchen from a young age so I picked up on a couple things.”

One he finished putting the beef in the marinade he washed his hands and placed the beef to let it soak up the sauce while the rice cooked.

"You're a smart, very attractive, wealthy, as well as skilled girl huh” Roy said folding his arms and smirking. “Yet I feel like there is more that meets the eye to you,..tell me why exactly did you want to come to Komei academy to become a hero?” He leaned against the counter top.

Kaida thought it was sweet that his mother taught him while taking care of him. She wished she had her mother do that… She knew she cooked as well, that much she knew. How much more she would appreciate her skill if she had only learned it from her mother. She must be amazing to raise such a sweet boy. She hoped to by chance meet her someday,

He then went on to list the things she did. Only causing her to blush even more. But when he said there was more to her she looked away, her face going pale. Immediately thinking he was on to her, figuring out who she was. But as he continued, she calmed down enough to look back at him. She paused for a moment and said, “I came because The Frenchman is here… He is the number one hero in France. “

She placed her hands to her chest, the mere mention of his name seemed to cheer her up as the stars were in her eyes. “He’s amazing, an inspiration to everyone in France. I wanted the chance to learn under him. she conviently left out the part that he was her literary hero, for defeating her father. If she had said that then he would have asked how he was her hero.

Roy watched still smiling at Kaida as she turned her face away, his smile slowly fading wondering if he said something wrong. She said her reason for coming to Komei is to learn from the frenchman and that he is an amazing inspiration to everyone in France. Almost making it seem like he was their symbol of piece. “That is a pretty cool reason to learn under your idle, though If you really wanted you probably could have gone to UA with your skill hypothetically speaking huh?” Roy said trying to bait out what she was really capable of. “Having heat resistance is nice though I doubt it would get you into a top academy alone though. You must have some serious skill huh” Roy said getting excited as he clench his fist before relaxing a bit taking a deep breath.

“The reason I came to Komei was because it was really the only academy that would give me a shot surprisingly. I didn’t even make it to the hero course immediately, I had to transfer out of general studies just to get into hero course.” Roy said scratching his head, before smiling and clenching his fist. “I-I want to be a hero that gives hope to those who have disabilities that makes it harder to chase their dreams...I want them to see me and say, hey he did it why can’t I. What keeps me going...despite how stack the odds are is the future possibilities.” He spoke softly, “This may sound cheesy to you but this is honestly how i feel, everybody has their story but this is mine.” he scratched his head with a wide grin.

Kaida only looked down as he mentioned the UA She knew he was trying to reveal her quirk. Now that he knew it dealt with heat, but if she said she could breath fire, it would instantly be odd, other fire users don't ever breath fire. It would point to her real quirk. She only nodded her head, as if agreeing that it was just skill.

He went onto telling how he got here and why he wanted to be a hero. She smiled. “It’s kinda how it was for me and The Frenchman, he gives me hope that despite my quirk I can be just as amazing as he is, without one. And continue that inspiration to others in his place somehow.” She looked at him, Thats a good dream to have. I’m sure you will be an amazing hero.

She played with a towel in her hands, ”Your quirk is amazing as it is, how is you only were able to get into General studies….if you don't mind me asking that is.

Roy just grinned back at the girl, she was nice to hang around. “Thank you for your support” he said bowing in front of her playfully. “As to why I only got into the general studies, I did well on the written portion. Though when it came to the practical exam… it was indoors. My quirk is fueled by the sun, so no sunlight, little power.” Roy said folding his arms. “Though after some review I suppose they let me into the hero course seeing that I have potential.” Roy completely leaving out the ultimatum with the principal. “I don’t mind you asking personal questions as long as you don’t treat me any different because of what i been through...and I won't treat you any differently either Kaida. That's why every time you're sad or mad I want to make you smile again.” Roy said softly, the boy turned away and back over to the fridge as he took out the meat.

He placed it on the counter and pulled out a skillet turning the fire onto medium heat, before pouring a little bit of olive oil in the pan and letting it warm up before placing the steak in.

“When I heard you were fire resistance I got excited because my quirk makes it kinda tough for people to interact with me regularly since my body is naturally hot. It's nice knowing someone can handle the heat” Roy said winking at her.

Kaida nodded as he explained why, it made sense, though it was good that they saw the potential though. He then said he wouldn't treat her differently if she didn't if she found out more about his personal pass. She thought for a moment, sudden hope of finding someone to confide in… no no not Roy, despite how kind he was to her if he found out about her father and her real ability he would run away. Everyone outside her family at the castle did. As soon as they found out she was his daughter.

But she nodded nonetheless. She smiled when he said he would want to make her smile if she was sad or mad. It was odd, as he just met her, but with his final statement it kinda made sense why. He had a similar story, people couldn't/wouldn't get near him because of his quirk. His wink caused her to look down.

She watched him as he put the stake on and said, ”thank you Roy, you are too sweet. I'm glad we met each other.” She smiled. She didn't know what else to say, glancing at Jett and Mina seeing them deep in discussion, she turned back to Roy and asked quite suddenly. “So did you, Kasuke, and Jett grow up together?”

Roy laid the steak into the pan, placing pieces of ginger on top of it as it cooked, after it started to sizzle for a bit he let one side of the steak cook until it began browning. Kaida soon said that Roy was too sweet, the boys face getting a little red, she then asked if Mina, Jett, and himself grew up together. “No, we all didn’t grow up together” Roy started chuckling, “Matter of fact, i just met them today in our battle exercise.” Roy looked away into the distance sheepishly while scratching his cheek as he thought about how he lost.

“Both of them are pretty strong in their own right so I wouldn’t let my guard down around them” The steak had turned a light brown, Roy washed his hands before taking the marinade and pouring it into the skillet letting the steak glaze in the teriyaki sauce. “The steak is about done, just letting it soak of up the teriyaki sauce, also there is another thing I wanted to ask you” He said wiping his hands with a rag. “I know you're already teaching Acion how to use a sword, is there anyway you can squeeze in some lessons for me too?” Roy said smirking.

She nodded her head when he explained they just Met. He just seemed to know them enough to tease them, that's why she asked. She didnglace at them when he mentioned they were strong in their own rights, a little light construct of Mina kicking Roy came to mind. She wondered what their quirks were.

He mentioned that the stakes were almost done that they needed to soak up some juice, then suddenly asked her if she could teach sword lessons for him as well. She nodded slowly not that she didn't want to teach him, but she didn't want to bite off more than she could chew.

“Yes I-i can teach you a little bit. Just know I'm still learning myself, I doubt I am a good teacher as well. Just remember that…you might want to learn more from a true swordsman, like The Frenchman.”

Roy just smirked, “I have faith you will be a fine teacher. I’ll be more than satisfied if at least I can learn the basics of sword fighting. It's more so about me putting my versatility to use and creating a unique fighting style is my true goal.” Soon the rice cookers timer went off signaling that it was done, “Looks like the rice is done, now we just have to drain the rice and let it cool before we form the onigiri.” He left draining the rice to Kaida since this was her first time cooking onigiri. Roy scratched the side of his head with a small smile, he laughed at the thought of how if she wanted to she could scoop the rice right out the pot. Though doing that while the rice is super hot would most likely just end up messing up the onigiri. “I just ask for your best effort and i’ll give you mine, as long as I can learn the basics I will be more than satisfied.” He stuck out his hand for her to shake out of appreciation “Thank you Kaida, it means a lot to me” he said softly.

Seeing how Dulga reacted to Tomoe her attitude it didn't appear that she liked her all that much. Despites knowing that fact Tomoe still kept happy. It wasn't the first time that she came across someone who disapproved of her lifestyle. Should she act a little different so that the girl wouldn't despise her completely? Maybe trying not to look so sleepy would help her a a bit with this person at least.

The freakishly long girl answered her first two question but didn't return the meeting. She was probably a bit more secure than her? Wouldn't explain why she wouldn't give her name straight away despites being in the same class for perhaps a few years. She should ask her about it again later.

"Oh. Lets get along as classmates then hehe. Training in the gym does seem like the right thing to do I think."

Tomoe was leaning against Dulga while she was talking but Dulga didn't seem to like it all that much as Tomoe did. Dulga took her by the shoulders and took a short step backwards to get some distance between them again. This person appeared to be enormously strict. Dulga was gonna be a lot of trouble for Tomoe her daily sleep if this was gonna continue everyday.

Tomoe took a quick glance around the room seeing how the rest of the class was practicing in the individual training rooms around the main room. They had shooting ranges and battle rooms and rooms to test out weapons and gadgets. Tomoe wasn't really into any of those though. You wouldn't ever see her walking around with a gun or any explosive. She was fine with the quirk she had and rather not rely on killing tools. Dulga told her that she should show some interest in the class by trying to use a weapon or asking a teacher what to do.

"I never really used a weapon to be honest. It always seems a bit scary and not really made for me. As for the teacher..."

Tomoe faced towards the shooting range where the teacher was teaching one of the students to shoot a gun while answering 5 other students all at the same time.

"I don't think he has all that much time for me. He seems really busy. But yea I guess you're right."

Tomoe turned her head back to Dulga as she held her hands behind her back. Her feet held against each other as she quietly stared up at the giant giving her a sugarsweet smile.

"I will try hehe."

The giant suddenly told her that she was gonna leave which took Tomoe off guard for a moment. Really not the social type eh. Tomoe gave her soft smile as she poked up her hand and softly waved at her.

"Aww, okay. Take care!"

The taller boy introduced himself as Yashiro Takeshi, and mentioned he was trained in Budo. Kenichi nodded, recognizing the term from a couple of manga he had read about Samurai.

"So like...kind of a mixed-style that the samurai would use if they got disarmed or knocked off a horse, right?" Kenichi put one fist on his chin in thought. "That'd probably be good for disarming, right? Cause if a samurai was using it, he was probably using it against other samurai, which meant he was fighting without a weapon against a guy who did have one. Right?"

Mamoru revealed that she didn't actually know any particular arts, so she was in the same boat as Kenichi. The pinkette asked if there was anything in particular he wanted to know.

"Well, disarming the enemy is part of it." The shorter boy rubbed the back of his neck and averted his gaze. "But after the training exercise today, all the teachers said I needed to use my brain more, remember? I can't do things like calculate angles or trachea...tractor...trajectories on the fly, but then I thought "people who do martial arts are just punching things like I do, but they punch stuff smart instead of just throwing out what they think will hit." You know, all that Art of War and Book of Five Rings stuff."

He looked back at Yashiro-kun, and held himself at attention with both arms out to the side like he'd seen some karate guys do on TV once.

"Osu! Yashiro-kun, please teach me!" He bowed at the waist over-dramatically.

Dulga Tarata

Rubbing the back of her head Dulga had to made another decision for herself and others. Should she just go off and do her own thing, or should she try and teach this girl a thing or two? Frankly Dulga wasn't sure what to do with herself since she wasn't going to be shooting at anything, and Tomoe wasn't interested in guns either. "There's nothing I can teach her." Dulga rationalized to herself. She wasn't just going to hang out with her if they weren't going to do anything. But then Tomoe smiled at her. That's when the trouble began. That smile. That damn smile. "Wait here." Dulga started walking back towards the armory.

In the end Dulga couldn't really just turn the girl down, less she just find somewhere else to go sleep at and waste both their time. So Dulga went to get some rope. Nothing fancy, just regular nylon rope you could get from a hardware store. Dulga was going to teach the girl something. "Hey. Follow me." Dulga pointed over to one of the empty training rooms. If this girl wasn't a fighter then Dulga could at least teach her how to make a few basic traps. Nothing too fancy, most of them consist of tripwires and snares, better used against animals. But Dulga knew how to size them up to work on people too. "I'm going to teach you how to make traps. At least this way you won't be completely defenseless."

Tomoe was waving the girl goodbye but instead of that Dulga asked for her to wait here. Tomoe slowed down her waving as she looked a little confused with a tilted head to what was happening. Her hand dropped past her side again as she looked after Dulga who now headed off somewhere. Tomoe stared after her for a bit as her hand reached up at her braided hair to fidget with it leaving her vision at the door Dulga last walked into, she patiently waiting for Dulga to come back.

It took but a moment before Dulga walked back out of the armory again, with a rope? Tomoe quietly stared at the rope Dulga was holding as she came back closer to her again. Did she do something wrong? Was Dulga offended? Dulga asked to follow her when she was close enough to her again. Off course Dulga couldn't hurt her in public, she had to be taken to an empty hallway or something first. Tomoe gave a quick gulp as she stepped up towards Dulga ready to follow her.

"Uhh, yes, alright."

Tomoe quietly followed after Dulga holding her hands together in front of her lap as she walked along. They were headed to one of the empty training rooms, this is where she was gonna get killed by the 7feet giant. At least, she thought so.

After entering and walking to about the middle of the room Dulga told her that she was gonna teach Tomoe how to make traps today. Tomoe stared at her face for a bit clearly looking somewhat dumbfounded. Tomoe then put one and one together clasping a hand and a balled up hand together. Tomoe had a moment of thought to Dulgas idea and it was somewhat genius seeing how she wasn't offensive herself at all. If she wasn't offensive she had to play it defensive!

Maybe this gloomy tall giant wasn't all unsocial and uncaring as she thought. Tomoe suddenly got up closer to Dulga and gave her a bright smile with the angle of her head as she raised her hand high up in the air and started petting the large girl on the head. As she did she closed her eyes and let out a satisfied, amused giggle.

"I hadn't thought of that. It sort of sounds fun to do too. Maybe you were right."

Dulga Tarata

Inside the training room the ground was soft, like dirt, and there was poles coming out of the ground like trees. This place looked too artificial to be an actual "forest", but it'll have to do. "We'll start your off with a simple snare. It's meant to catch small game, but against people it can catch their feet and cause them to trip or even get them stuck. First you need an anchor." Dulga went over to one of the fake trees and snapped a branch off. It was only about six inches long, but she made sure to whittle the end so it was sharp. She snapped off another branch for Tomoe to use. "The anchor does not need to be long nor heavy. It just needs to be firm. Make sure there's a small notch or hook so that the rope doesn't slip off." Using just her fingers Dulga was able to carve a small notch onto the fake wood. but since Tomoe likely didn't have Dulga's massive strength, she also demonstrated that Tomoe could achieve something similar if she just shaved the wood off with the other stick. It took a bit longer, but eventually it'd match the same shape.

"Now you need to make the noose." For this Dulga and Tomoe would only use a bit of rope, twelve inches for the both of them. "I hope you know how to make a knot." Dulga created a small loop at one of the rope then put the rope through the loop. Dulga showed Tomoe the simple noose she made, putting her hand through it and tightening the rope around her hand. "When someone pulls on the rope, the rope tightens around their foot. Getting out of it isn't too hard, but for those who don't expect it it can give you the time to run or fight." Dulga could teach Tomoe a more complicated knot that's harder to get out of, but for now just the basics. Dulga then tied the noose to the fake wooden stake. "This is a very basic snare. Easy to make, easy to hide. All you really need is a bit of rope or wire. Tie it to something heavy or firm into the ground like a pole or a rock." Dulga took her snare and pushed the stake into the ground. Without any natural foliage to hide it it was pretty obvious. The rope also laid flat against the ground but Dulga had another trick for that.

Taking a much smaller branch off the fake tree, Dulga looked for an "L" shaped one and carefully positioned it under the rope. Dulga then demonstrated how the stick helped; when Dulga stepped on the stick, it raised the rope just enough to go over her foot, then Dulga continued stepping through and the rope wrapped around her ankle. "It's not foolproof." Dulga demonstrated this by simply yanking the trap out of the ground with her foot, kicking the snare off as well. "But it's a start. Now practice." Dulga took a few more sticks off the fake trees and tore some rope for Tomoe to practice with. With any luck she'll learn quickly and they can move onto more interesting traps.
