Marygold Isley

She was not in the best of moods, and was glad that she had left the lab behind her when she did. There was no way she could handle this type of conflict right now. She herself wasn't too wary of Nina, but she paid attention to any interaction between the woman and Guin. Only someone who lived under a rock wouldn't know what was up with them. The fact that for some strange reason the two of them couldn't stop arguing and act like professionals didn't help her headaches either. It made her wonder how Cassandra was able to deal with it all, since she had to put up with it more than she herself did. She definitely did not envy her that was for sure.

Marygold walked up from the lower level, and found herself on the second floor. She headed down the hallway towards the Professor's office. She preferred to talk to him in person, since if she tried to talk to him telepathically, there was always the chance that she interrupted a conversation. As she approached, she saw someone else heading for the same door. It was boy she didn't recognize, though she figured he was one of the newbies at the institute. They've been getting more people over the past month, so she wasn't totally surprised. She reached the door and decided to speak to him, "Hello there," she said with a smile.

Allison Andrews
Xavier was silent for a few moments, and he looked Allison in the eyes. "You may feel this way, and several others in the past have come up to me with the same problem. I believe your familiar with one of them, Marygold?" he said, and continued on again without waiting for a response. "When she first joined the X-Men, she faced the same problem as you. She came to me since she felt like she wasn't able to help out as much as she wanted to. Though her first mission was in a desert, so her powers weren't very helpful in that situation. I told her the exact same thing I'm going to tell you. You are able to contribute, even if it takes a while for you to find your place, it will come. You can practice, and work hard, or try to help strategize, as Marygold started to do when her powers failed her when the team was in different situations. All that matters is that you tried your best and worked to the best of your abilities". He smiled at her, and gave a reassuring nod towards her.

Cassandra Reed

Location: The Mansion

As Cassandra was gearing up her attention turned over towards Nina as she entered the room, she could understand her thoughts on Petro he was ex-brotherhood at the moment as far as she knew. Or he could still be working with them, but Cassandra also did trust Guin's judgment as well, even if she was a lot younger then most usual SHIELD agents. "I know your feelings against Petro, I still have my reservations on him." She ran a hand through her hair as she adjusted her gauntlets she had upgraded from her last encounter with Sabertooth as well as some new toys.

She stood up as Cassandra adjusted her boots to fit tying the lases together and met Nina's gaze once more. "So that's why on this mission i'll have you working with Quicksilver to keep an eye on him once its okayed with Marygold." She said as she grabbed an Icer from the briefcase and strapped it into its holster. "I know Guin is young, but I have trained her myself and i'm her SO she listens to me and follows orders well."

Once she was fully geared up Cassandra grabbed a smaller case and held it in her hand while she kicked the briefcase back under the bed once she had everything that she needed. "Just play nice and that's an order." Cassandra didn't like to have people she worked well with spied on. Cassandra took out her phone and started to text her younger sister to get herself ready as well for their next mission.

Carolina Reed

Location: The Mansion

Carolina tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and gave Damon a friendly smile when he introduced himself, her eyes wondered down and noticed the moving tattoo on his arm which started to perk her interest. She was interested in art work and was curious how it was moving. "That's an interesting tattoo, how is it moving?" Carolina asked with a soft smile as she looked up at him blushing once more.

Then she heard her phone going off, and reached down into her pocket seeing that there was a text from her older sister. "I guess we should get ready. I should head over to my room now and get my stuff, your welcome to join me if you want." Carolina said softly as she started to head her way towards the mansion.

Ayita Dyrkin

("Oshea is a different kind of wild.")

Oshea Jackson

"Ayita; she tries to play beast--but like Hank--she can't run from her humanity forever. I respect it though, 'cause I done my fair share of trynna run from mine too."

Location: Xavier's Mansion Courtyard

Ayita couldn't help but feel a bit smug that it took Oshea a minute to notice her. Her lips twitched slightly as though they held whiskers at the end. Shifting her shoulders as he greeted her, the shifter regarded him with a brief display of surprise that was then and gone in an instant as she turned her head away. Her dark brown hair falling to obscure his view of the feeling. For all her trying she rarely could keep feeling from her face when it was praise. It was too strange, to shocking when she received it. Especially so when she was not the one it should have gone to.

"It was not I who saved you." She stated softly, blunt with her words as usual. Nodding towards where Damon was. She hated throwing the poor guy under the bus on this. He didn't appear to like people any more than she did. But she was not one to take praise. It would only make the accusations worse when they came. "Thank him. I did little." Regaining her composure she flicked her hair back and continued to watch him warily. Unsure of his motives to come and speak to her.

Hah! Got her!

His internal gloat remained just that, he quickly switched his own demeanor from its usual playful--and perhaps childish--disposition to one more glim. Contrasting a sorrowful lack of hair, he didn't have the luxury of burying the genuine thankfulness which rested on his face no matter how steeled he tried to be. He dropped his voice to a near whisper; something told Oshea Ayita was one who enjoyed the privacy of a conversation more than the content of the conversation itself. He wasn't going to fluff anything,

"So, wha's ya real deal, wolf? You all types of anti-social an' shit; I mean I'on' blame you," he leaned in, "some of these niggas annoy me, too not even gonna lie. Why you all brooding an' shit?"

Was that to the point? Oshea thought so.

If she had ears they would have flattened as he leaned in. Narrowing her amber eyes, she drew herself up from her slightly withdrawn posture to her full five foot eleven inches. Real deal? That was a question and a half. Yet she was not about to spill her entire story to this speedster or anyone for that matter. He didn't need to know about what remained of her family or where she had lost humanity and taken the beasts as sane. She didn't even know where that was entirely. "I do not brood." The tiger rolled beneath her skin and wanted out. She slammed her control down upon it. Why was he so interested? Damon had seen what she could do. He was wary of her, and she respect that even if it hurt a bit. Yet this man had not a drop of instinct in his head that he should be walking in the other direction! "The real deal?" Her eyes grew sharp as she watched him warily, "You are a human. I am not." Not any more. She had lost the humane part of her when she shifted and took to the forest and sky. It had be glorious but now she no longer understood her own kind. Not that she ever did easily, Ayita admitted. Social interactions were always hard.

Oshea burst out laughing! "AHAHAHAHA! initially, it was rather loud but it soon died. Quick as his jubilee came it distilled into a mood serious. There was a small smirk kept on the corner of his mouth,

"You know you jus' proved my exact point, righ'? 'I do not brood''" he mocked with a child's intensity while retaining a solid gaze. "Tsh; you might be some type a' animal. . . human. . . chimera thing, but you still walk talk sleep eat an' cry like I do. But uh, shit man, I ain' even--" he gathered some phlegm from his chest and spit it into the grass, "I ain't come over here to preach, you do know it don't make a lick of difference who human and who ain't in Magneto eyes, right?"

He ran the white towel along his soaked face and lathered it around his neck to lap the sweat's remnants,

"The real deal, b. I'm jus' trynna know who Ayita is, not whoever trynna stand in fronna me righ' nah. Plus," he leaned in again and his smirk turned smile, "Damon, Mary, Allison, they might all steer clear of you 'cause you can turn into animals--but you couldn't lay a finger on me no matta what form you took; so miss me wit' all that intimidation shit." He leaned out,

Prolly not a crack, maybe enough for a dent. It was her move, one could see the anticipation in his eyes.

Ayita's eyes narrowed as the tiger stirred and snarled at this afront to it's favorite squeaking man. The woman however was more concerned with the deal against Allison. "Magneto would see all burn for his goals." She stepped towards him, her teeth bared in a snarl. "And I don't care if someone's a muntant, a human." She took two more steps till she stood less than inches from him, her amber eyes burning with rage and cat-like slants for irises. "Allison is as close to me as I can bear. Damon has-" She paused and clenched her fangs- teeth. He had been a staunch ally in helping her control. He had shown concern for her, something she didn't fully understand. Why? She was just Ayita. The monster. The creature who destroyed. "Run as fast and far as you want. You can't escape the land, Oshea. And you have to tire at some point." She clenched her hands into fists as she held back the tiger and her flaring temper for the sake of the two who had helped.

Oshea tilted his head, his arms were folded across his widening chest. There was no strike of fear in him, no backing down. They were both animals of a different kind, and Oshea knew that. A wild beast, born from the heart of nature herself and a kid who knew the pit of poverty, born from the exoskeletons of urban renewal. It was the strangest strike of wonder; the child in him wanted to see how far he could push the beast, the man in him knew tempting the wild was never smart. Except Oshea almost always listened to the child in him over and above the man,

"Damon has--has what? Oh, oh, I see! You got a [thing for him, right?! Shiit, no worries, I ain't tellin' nobody,"then he dropped the smile--his face went blank. Bullies immemoriam made him spend his whole life running, and though he could lap Ayita a hundred times over, he wasn't to be made a coward by any man; and especially not by someone who didn't even believe herself human:

"Don't make no idle threats, Ayita. Shit might get you hurt," he roused, his voice iced with the same chill present in Ayita's, "I joke, I laugh, I might e'en act childish sometimes, but don't approach me like you 'bout some shit you really ain't. We don't do that where I'm from. Do somethin' or keep it cordial, you feel?"

Overstepped? Maybe. This ain't what I imgined this would go like.

The wild woman stood her ground not stepping forward to push her position on him. Letting out a shakey breathe. "I do not know what 'thing' you're talking about. He's helped. I owe him for his help." And trying to pounce on him multiple times. Her eyes still held the tiger in them as she moved to turn away from Oshea. "And you know where I am from. Don't pull a tiger's tail." She turned away morphing into the form of the great cat. A look of agony on her face as she did so. It was slow and it was painful, leaving the tigeress slump for a minute before it turned to look at Oshea. It's coat and the ground about it speckled with blood. Ayita's blood. Ayita's tiger body. Giving a very clear grumble and what could only be a sour look. She sat in the snow, her tail thrashing back and forth. She didn't like talking to people and she didn't like confrontation in the form of her having to get sharp and toe to toe with people. Giving a scowl she snorted. It reminded her too much of her mother. Now she wanted to bite something, the tiger agreed and noted the dark human was close enough to bite.

Oshea held up another smile; this was the most he had smiled in the last few weeks, ironicaly. His arms were still folded as he watched and moreover admired Ayita's transformation, unsettling as it was to see and he could only imagine it was ten times more painful. Part of him felt sorry for her, such drastic changes to one's anatomy could not induce pleasure in anyone. He heard her muscles tear and her bones snap as she morphed,

Gorgeous.

There was a momentary sliver of worry, he had never seen her change up close and personal before. The moment called not for admiration or praise, however, he had to maintain the gravitas, I know you have trouble speakin' in them forms, but I'mma give you this once piece of advice before you think about what you gon' do next--the tiger never catches the gazelle."

Ayita gave him a large grin of a row of sharp fangs. Accompanied with a rumbling albeit small roar. She would catch the deer. She always did.

Guinevere Stark

Location: Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
{"Experiment. Fail. Learn. Repeat."}

Ever since the critical failure at the Power Plant and Magneto's plans to potentially wipe out the human race, S.H.I.E.L.D. had shifted some resources around. Not only were both Cassandra and Guin given icers, but they also had access granted to the dwarves. Guin's watch was still both broken and missing, prompting her to figure it had been lost during the explosion at the plant. Either way, she could always make another one--if she had time. Between school and S.H.I.E.L.D., she barely had time to sleep.

Nina was right about one thing--Guin did trust Pietro. It was one thing that she and Professor X both shared: a belief in second chances. The worst thing Pietro had done so far was crash her birthday party and he didn't seem to be the sort to double cross them all. Everything she had came from war profiteering, even if Stark Industries didn't sell or manufacture weapons anymore. Her father changed his ways and became Iron Man, he became an Avenger. There was no reason to suppose that Pietro couldn't do the same or anyone else for that matter.

Except for Nina. Guin hated that bitch.

Dressed in her S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, Guin checked the various items she was bringing with her. An icer was strapped to a side holster for easy access. She had been hoping they'd get ones that would only operate with a genetic confirmation lock, but there hadn't been the resources for that. S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn't even been able to ensure they were made from polymers void of metal, but as a scientist and an engineer, Guin knew that wouldn't stop Magneto forever. One day, perhaps he'd have full control over electromagnetism rather than just metals.

She put plenty of bits of wiring in the various pockets of her uniform, not wanting to have to destroy another pair of earbuds for nothing. It was a research lab, but it was good to be careful. An old prototype of her watch (ironically which was another prototype) was tucked into her pocket. It was small and only was capable of projecting a hologram of a computer terminal, which could then be used for hacking on the fly. Her father later upgraded and made it into lenses for glasses, so he could use his devices with just sunglasses on, but she hadn't had time to grab one of those models.

Guin felt strange for a moment as she put her badge in her pocket as well. When she learned to fight initially, it had been with a sword. It had been with the intent that if her life was ever again in jeopardy, she would be able to put up a struggle, rather than go quietly. People had been targeting Stark Industries and by extension, Guin's father, her entire life. Her 'Uncle' Obidiah had attempted to assassinate her after Tony had been captured in Afghanistan. Nina had attempted to steal classified information, after tearing a new one into Tony. There were countless others as well, all with their own agendas. Guin had learned how to fight in order to protect herself.

But now it was time to be a shield for someone else. She didn't have any illusions that she would survive this mission, as she tucked the few empty vials away that Beast had given her in case no appropriate containers were at the lab.

"I need a sword," Guin whispered to herself, before beginning to search the mansion for one.

Damon Fawkes

Damon blinked at her as she asked the question. He took a moment and looked at his arm before realizing that the dragon was indeed coiling around his arm as it usually does. He looked back at her and mentally thought through how exactly to explain. "Its my ability. My tattoos are like living creatures." He gave a shrug. "Its why I'm called the host" It was an extremely simplified explanation of what the tattoos were and he could feel a hard nudge from the dragon. His skin bulldogs for a second and more detail could be seen on the scales as if the creature was pressing its body against his skin. He gave a small annoyed look toward the tattoo and then focused back on Carolina.

Damon was completely taken off guard by the offer. His eyes seemed a bit wider at the sudden question of him. He swallowed to regain his composure. "Yeah...uh sure" He gestured for her to lead the way. "Lead the way" His hands clasped behind his back as he waited for her to lead him. His thought process was that he was going to help her gather things to get ready. There wasn't even a glimmer of inappropriate thoughts even though many a male would have those thoughts. Especially with that blush on her face.

Allison Andrews

Location: The Mansion
{"Who would have thought?"}

Allison didn't quite expect to hear the Professor reference Marygold. From all she knew of the girl, she seemed competent and able, she never would have figured that she was once in the same situation Allison found herself in. That shined a new light on things. While part of her wanted to downplay it, being that it was just something she wanted to hear, she couldn't help but figure it was true considering the source it came from. Xavier wouldn't lie to her and she wouldn't be here if she wasn't of some use to the team. She was sure of that.

"I didn't know Marygold went through something like that. Puts a new spin on things, I suppose. I think all of this "doom and gloom" was raining on my parade and was putting me in a down mood. I feel better now though, thanks Professor!" She jumped up from her seat with a beaming smile before she walked towards the door of his office. Before she left, she did have one question. "So...any idea what we should do now?"

Francesco Sapienti

Location: Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
"About to head into the Professor's office, a total mind blank would be very useful right now."

Francesco was a nervous mess, fidgeting with his hands and tugging on the sleeves of his sweater. He was standing in front of the Professor's office, trying to collect his thoughts and staring at the closed door, debating when he should go in. As if the door was going to block out a telepath, obviously it wouldn't. He took a deep breath and tucked a piece of hair behind his ear. He lifted his hand to knock on the door when he saw someone walking towards him....or the door. He couldn't tell for sure, but the girl greeted him with a cheerful smile.

He immediately forgot about his visit to the Professor and the anxiety that came along with going to see him, now he was feeling a different kind of anxiety. Talking to strangers was an art in and of itself. He had the nice guy routine down pretty well and it wasn't really acting if you were naturally nice right? He returned her smile with a somewhat shy but genuine smile of his own.

"Hi..."

Francesco touched the tip of his nose, rubbing it back and forth with his finger, as if he was wiping off some imaginary dirt. He gave the girl a quick one over, making sure he wasn't staring at her like some sort of creep. She was pretty, he loved her long red hair. It didn't look like that color came out of a bottle and if it had she had a pretty great dye job. Maybe she wanted to see the Professor too? If that was the case she could go in first.

"Were you going to see the Professor? You can go in first if you like, he doesn't know I'm coming anyways."

Or well he probably does. Francesco thought feeling a heat flash rising to his cheeks.

Nina van Essenhout

Location: The Mansion

Although raising one eyebrow - half incredulous, half annoyed - at the mission assignment partnership, Nina didn't say anything. Simply nodding in agreement, she left the room, making a beeline for Xavier's office. The partnership made a bit of sense - putting him with someone who didn't trust him fully, and perhaps had the strength to take him down if necessary - but it was also a bit off putting. If S.H.I.E.L.D had plans put in place to avoid betrayals, then putting two ex-criminals together in a team was perhaps a bit short-sighted. Still, Cassandra or Fury could have something planned. Speed and strength went well together, and while having no gauge of Quicksilver's intelligence, Nina was sure she had enough alone for the pair of them. If the boy behaved himself, it could be a way for him to prove his new-found loyalty to the X-Men. And, perhaps to Nina. But time would only tell this.

"Whatever the case," Nina thought to herself as she walked the corridors. "Personal feelings have to be set aside during this mission. There's too much at stake for emotions to get in the way. Hopefully Guinevere knows that at least."

Marygold Isley

"Oh, don't worry about that. He half the time isn't surprised when people stop by. That's generally how things run here. He probably knew you were coming, I thought about giving him a heads up, but I never know if anyone is talking to him, so I don't like to interrupt," she said, the boy seemed to be nervous. That seemed to be a reaccuring theme with any newbie. She really needed to spend time talking to the new students.

Marygold herself tried hard to be friendly towards anyone she met. Most people who came to the mansion had just discovered their abilities or something like that. It was understandable considering. "I'm Marygold by the way. I'm guessing you just came to the mansion?" she said, still giving him a warm smile.

Allison Andrews
Professor Xavier smiled at Allison, though he looked over at the door to his office, and Allison is able to hear voices on the other side. "You can ask Marygold herself, could you please let Marygold and Francesco in. You can meet one of our newest students and learn what Marygold has come up with after her discussion with Hank," he said as he rolled his chair away from his desk.

Allison heard the voices outside too. With a nod, she opened the door to the office and greeted those standing outside. "Marygold! Hi! We were just talking about you, come in! And you must be Francesco! Oooh you're cute, we're gonna be fast freinds I can tell! I don't know why, I just have that feeling and look at me standing here still talking. You both probably want to come in so come on in!" Motor mouth Allison was back.

She let them come in and waited to hear the news. She didn't expect anything good, but she was in a happier mood than she was before. Hopefully, she can poke Mary's brain a bit before any mission they needed to go on. She wouldn't mind talking to Franceso a bit either, to gauge how he's dealing with all of this.

Guinevere Stark

Location: Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
{"I have a plan: attack."}

Despite looking all over the school, Guin wasn't able to find a sword. She'd be using her icer, then, and she'd just have to hope that Magneto wouldn't get wise and take it from her. She couldn't help but hope that he wasn't even on the site, delegating the task of killing the human race to some Brotherhood scientist or another. It would make it easiest to retrieve the specimen and destroy it, along with all of the records. It wasn't like in the movies where things could just be spilled on the ground--liquids can be siphoned up, experiments replicated. They'd need to get everything in order to ensure that Magneto and the others couldn't do this again.

Guin glanced at her phone for a moment. There was a fair chance that she was going off to her death. They were an inexperienced team going up against someone with no regard for human life. It was something Guin hadn't bothered to say yet--that Magneto would kill humans without remorse, but he would spare the X-Men. It was his MO at this point. Clicking on a contact in her favorites, Guin brought the phone up to her ear, hearing it ring.

"Dad? It's me, Guin," Guin said, feeling a bit redundant. Very few other people would be calling from this phone. It had an impressive passcode on it, the title of Guin's third favorite song. And of course, a bunch of numbers were thrown in there as well, which tended to help. She had an interesting relationship with her father, and while they had their fair share of fights, he was still her closest family member. Her mother wasn't in the picture and hadn't been for a while. "Listen, I've got to run something by you."

Guin paused, listening to Tony on the other end of the line. She hesitated for a moment before responding, losing her courage. "I'm planning on taking a 3H 13C NMR with d-chloroform of this compound that's incredibly sensitive to oxygen and air exposure. Can you canulate into the caps on the NMR tubes or will that not work?"

Ayita Dyrkin

Location Xavier's Institue - Outskirts of New York
{"Purrfect."}

Stretching her paws out before her, Ayita sighed mentally and physically. This body didn't ache as her human would have. It did however want to go find a good place for a lovely basking catnap. Something Ayita fully agreed with, though she felt a odd twinge of remorse at being in this striped monstrosity. Promises- broken now. She rolled her shoulders as she licked her coat with a expert tongue. It wasn't like she had planned on changing. It happened at times, the flickering between human and beast. She was well aware of it and expect such things to happen. It was why she outcasted herself. Her temper cooled quickly as she thought back on the conversation. She had overreacted. Taken something too much to heart, and Ayita was very glad she was a tiger and her cheeks couldn't redden with embarrassment. Then she flattened her ears, her tail twitching as she puzzled over the meaning of 'thing'. Was it literal? Or was it some slang? Allison would know. Ayita would ask her next she saw the chatty girl.

Standing, she angled herself towards the manor. Her tail flickering back and forth as she prowled towards the possibility of a lovely spot for a catnap. A lovely, secluded place Ayita amended. It also would be lovely if she could get the pounce on Damon again. Her whiskers twitched in amusement. The tigress did enjoy the sounds that 'humans' made when they were startled. Such a lovely variety of squeaks, swears, and screams. Her ears flickered forward as she sniffed the air and continued on her little wandering for that purrfect spot. For a cat, it was easy. For a tiger? A tad more difficult but well worth the effort.

Oshea Jackson

"This waitin' got me real impatient."

Time: Night
Location: Xavier's Institute Courtyard

Oshea sat in his room with an arm tucked behind his bald head. To his right on a makeshift clothes hangar was his X Men suit; orange hued sun toasted the side of his caramel face as he nodded his head alongside the music blaring in his earphones. He was half asleep when the sun was beginning to set. Soon, most people were going to be asleep within the walls of the mansion; tonight he would see if all his recovery and training was to pay off.

Night fell, Oshea dressed in his X-suit. He stepped outside and embraced the rigid cold; chills ran down his spine from the crown of his head--Oshea figured he should have worn a beanie. He began: at first it was a slow jog, a pace his body had gotten used to. Slowly, he sped up his pace, there was some semblance of pain still coursing through his shin, but it was bearable--he gritted his teeth and attempted to soldier on. Oshea's speed increased: 20, 30, 40, 50, 55, 60, 75, 80, 90, 100! He was nowhere near his top speed, but Oshea figured given a few more days his leg would be in good enough shape to sustain heavier loads and persistent speeds for a longer time.

In truth, Oshea was tired of waiting and tired of sitting around. The running helped ease his mind, as it always did. Add to this escalating sense of angst his recent spurt of sleepless nights and Oshea had begun to feel weary and bored all the same. All of this expectation was making him giddy. Yet, Oshea was too fearful of what might become of this newfound burst of manic excitement; he took a seat on one of the benches next to the water fountain and gazed a the stars. In his mind, he made up his own constellations--his right index finger acted as his pencil as he stitched his imaginary markings in the stars: one, a wolf with bared fangs; then a girl's face with a perked smile. Hmmm? It was then he got an idea--he jogged back to his room in his excitement and pulled out his canvas paper and got to work.

Cassandra Reed

Location: The Mansion

Cassandra looked over her shoulder at Nina for a moment catching her rolling her eyes slightly at the pairing, letting out a slight sigh she knew that they were probably going to be butting heads that was going to be a given. As Cassandra finished up getting the last of her gear putting on the passcode to the briefcase of SHIELD gear she had been given from their last mission. She started to head out of her room and headed down the hallway as she made her way towards Guin's room, she wanted to give her a quick heads up on the pairing first. And she was probably going to end up getting an annoyed look from her student.

As Cassandra made her way into the room she leaned herself up against the wall as she started to call Tony, letting her speak over the phone while looking over at her. The others could wait she knew that there wasn't an official briefing just yet until Charles was made aware of their mission.

Carolina Reed

Location: The Mansion

"It sounds really interesting, cant wait to see it in action then. I uh have astral projection, I can possess people and find out what they knew and control their bodies, or I can put a thought into their head and they actually do it." Carolina said with a light smile as she walked towards the hallway and made it down over towards her room as she explained her power and turned towards her desk setting down her notepad inside of it. She didn't have a fancy outfit or costume like the others had just yet, and she wasn't really going to be out in the thick of combat either like the others.

Carolina turned around to face Damon and gave him a friendly smile as she started to head out of the room and started to make her way towards Xavier's office where she would be meeting the others. "So uh what would you like to know?" Carolina asked figuring that he probably had some questions for her of some kind as she walked over towards the door and looked into Professor X's office seeing that there were a few others that were in already.

Francesco Sapienti

Location: Professor X's office
"Wow everybody is so happy to see me, I haven't even baked a cake yet.....weird"

Francesco took her hand, his handshake was a little meek, a telltale sign of his low self esteem. Was it that obvious that he was new here? He smiled in spite of himself. He wasn't that good at faking it as he thought, too bad. Francesco always liked to think he was an unreadable person, so long for that fantasy.

"Yes, this is my first week here actually." He answered smiling back at her, starting to feel more comfortable. The girl was way less intimidating when she was talking, instead of standing near the door looking almost flawless. He stopped tugging at his clothes and smoothed out any folds in his sweater. Someone was walking towards the door, he could hear footsteps on the other side. Francesco quickly brought his hand up to the top of his head, to check if his bun was still relatively in place. He played with it a little, tucking in some stray locks and the like.

Marygold and him were greeted by a blonde girl, her cheer making Francesco nearly jump out of his skin. Everyone already knew who he was.....
Which was completely weird to him because aside from the Professor and Beast he had barely talked to anyone at the Institute, even though he was mostly to blame for that. He was shy around new people and not very keen on interacting with them. The blonde girl didn't seem to have any trouble with it though.

He followed Marygold and entered the office, noting that it was just the four of them inside. The familiar sense of mild anxiety he felt in social situations was creating butterflies in his stomach. It wasn't that bad that he wanted to run out of the office but it was enough to make him feel slightly ill at ease. He was used to it though. He tried to distract himself by glancing around the office. The Professor had great taste, he loved the warmth and slightly antique style of the mansion.

They hadn't closed the door behind them and from his position he could see other students standing in the hallway. A guy and a girl from what he could tell. It was getting pretty busy, but maybe that was normal around here. He'd only spent a week at the Institute after all.

Francesco looked at the Professor who was maneuvering his wheelchair from behind his desk. He waited until the older man got to where he needed to be before offering a quick and tiny wave.

Damon Fawkes

Damon tilted his head at the sound of that ability. It was something he hadn't really heard of, then again most abilities were something different. He straightened his head and gave a nod. While he certainly had questions he was not the type to ask them...more the type to wait and see if the person wanted to explain. He remained silent as she gather her things and then gave her a nod.

Damon then followed her, still wondering why he was invited to her room. He blinked himself out of his thoughts as she asked him a question. "Huh? oh i think you explained it well." As in he did not want to push her into explaining too much and really only wanted her to go into more detail if she wanted to. The walk to the office was a more quiet one. His hands clasped behind his back as he walked beside her in silence. He matched her pace and seemed to have a very professional air about him as he walked with her. As if he wasn't quite comfortable with her jut yet.

Marygold Isley

Marygold giggled a little at Francesco's reaction to Allison swinging the door open and talking non-stop. She walked into the room and saw the Professor, causing her to smile. "Congratulations Francesco, you've just met Allison," she said, before addressing the Professor,"I was just downstairs talking to Hank, along with Cassandra, Nina, and Guin. That was a very interesting conversation by the way. Anyway, I didn't know if you would be talking to anyone,"

She glanced over at Allison,"It has been decided that our best course of action would be to hopefully stop Magneto before he can release the virus. I know we've been having Hank try to come up with a cure, but without the actual virus, he can't really do that much. Though there is the chance that Magneto will release the virus before we get there, but we can't just sit back and wait for him to make his move".

Professor Xavier leaned forward and looked to be contemplating what Marygold had said. "That is true, we do need to move swiftly if we are going to prevent a major catastrophe. You will need to be very careful though, who knows what Magneto will do".

"Agreed, do you want me to message everyone to meet up in the garage? Since we're only going to the city, it would be better for us to take cars instead. We don't want to attract too much attention. I'll let the others know whats going on when they get there. No need to be official since at least Guin and Cassandra should be a little used to that by now".

"I will let them know, but before you go, I would like to let you know that there will be two new members to the team. Francesco here, and another student by the name of Charles Farrier. I hate to throw them into their first mission like this, but sometimes the situations aren't ideal".

"Alrighty then. Welcome aboard Francesco, now let's head down to the garage. Since there are so many of us, we'll probably have to take two cars down. At least we can catch everyone up on what's going on," she said as she started heading out the door and back down the hallway. Looks like things were about to get interesting again.

To everyone who wasn't in the Professor's Office the voice will be in your head
Meet down in the garage. Marygold will explain what is going on for those of you who do not yet know what your mission is.

Oshea Jackson

"Time to get back on the grind!"

Location: Xavier's Mansion Garage

Oshea felt the familiar tingle in his head when Xavier spoke. It was time for the next mission, and Oshea had not slept at all. With eyes bloodshot, Oshea dressed himself in his X-suit and made his way to the garage and on the way fought to keep his eyes open. For all the angst and boredom he was feeling prior, the arrival of this new assignment brought him some relief: for one, he could sit back and observe how the others operated with Quicksilver hopefully shouldering the scouting role; two, he might get some rest. Or maybe Oshea could put some of his reading to use.

Once he arrived in the hangar, he pulled the ruby red visor over his eyes and wobbled in place where he stood. Only when Oshea was about to fall over did he spring to life. To prevent himself from toppling over in full, he sat criss cross on the garage's floor and supported his chin atop a balled fist with an elbow resting on his upper thigh.

"Mmmmmmmm. Did you do something to your hair, Allison?" a half-sleep Oshea exclaimed to no one particular.

Cassandra Reed

Location: The Mansion

As Cassandra stood there she stopped for a moment when she heard Professor's voice to have everyone meet down at the garage, she knew the mission already and what they were going to be doing. She looked towards Guin for a moment while she was on the phone still talking to her father she assumed. "I'll see you down at the garage." Cassandra said giving her friend a slight smile before turning around and started to make her way down the hallway and towards where the garage was. She wasn't sure how Guin was going to react when she was going to have Nina possibly working with her.

When she made it into the garage Cassandra looked over towards her sister and gave her a friendly smile, it was going to be their first mission working together. Cassandra remembered the first time when she bumped into her and her friend several years ago back at Alucard as she leaned herself up against the wall waiting for everyone to get there.

Carolina Reed

Location: The Mansion

As Carolina was finishing up getting her stuff put away she stopped for a moment and tilted her head to the side slightly when she heard the Professor's voice in her head. Which caused a slight chill to run down her spine, she felt slightly weirded out with someone entering her head, even if he was her headmaster it did just feel really weird. But she was curious what their mission was going to be, Carolina was somewhat used to working with SHIELD and going on the occasional mission or dropping the occasion bit of intel for them.

"I guess the boss wants us down at the garage. I wonder what the mission is going to be." Carolina said as she set her stuff down and started to make her way towards the garage, though she hadn't been at the mansion to long as she was still figuring out where things were currently. Eventually she finally made it over to the garage. She was very curious what their next mission was going to be. Carolina then turned her head when she saw her sister coming into the garage as well seeing her SHIELD uniform which looked really interesting.

Ayita Dyrkin

Location Xavier's Institue - Outskirts of New York
{"Grrreat."}

This was not ideal in Ayita's opinion as she slipped into the garage. The door thankfully was open, a good thing as tigers lacked hands. Paws never worked well with a doorknob. She had gotten the mental 'for your information' from the professor. Another misson, which was undoubtedly about the recent Magneto issue. Something that was a unseeable threat. Unable to fight it hand to hand, claw to claw or fang to fang. For the first time Ayita wished she had something else in her arsenal. Something to drive away the phantoms of the air that she could not see. Perhaps her deeper animal instincts could sense it? She was unsure and worried about loosing herself to the feral state were she to sink so low into herself and the creature. Amber eyes blinked slowly as she took in the gathered audience, peering around the door for a moment to assess who all was gathered.

Giving a rumbling chuff of essentially a 'hello'. The tiger-instinct was not pleased with the number of people, nor was Ayita. But such was the way of things and changing back... Both human and beast shuddered. It had hurt to shift. Not more than any other time to form bones not used to being shaped, but still. The less she did of that the better off she would be. Stepping with a slow grace she moved with the up most caution. Her ears flat to her skull as she stalked the shadows of the room. Stepping close to Damon, the tiger managed a apologetic look as she brushed against his leg. Rare contact from the shifter. Selecting a seat next to Allison, she crossed her forepaws as she flicked a ear. Till she got up the nerve to shift again, she was stuck. Ayita grumbled in a growl. She hated being stuck in a form. But to keep human form was torture for her. Like a skin that felt too tight, bare and useless. Though thumbs and a working vocal system was nice, she much rather she not need that.

The tiger wondered if anyone had any food, and Ayita twitched her tail in impatience. Perhaps she could hunt where ever they went. A good deer or Elk... Perhaps a bear? The tiger liked the sound of that. A fight and food. Fun and feast.
