Since I haven't seen a Gijinka RP in a long while, I thought I'd try and make one up. The idea is that you get to control a Chaser; a Gijinka who actively journeys across the Neilea Region (and possibly the rest of the world if he/she must) in search of a mystical one-of-a-kind Legendary Gijinka.

Chasers generally travel in groups of three, four, or five, and can be licensed to start their journey at the age of 15. There is no known age limit in which a Chaser will be court-martialled into ending their search for the Legendary Gijinka but, unless there's a specific one that they've sought after but have still yet to locate all this time, most Chasers will volunteer to retire whilst in between their 60's and 70's. In order to support their search, Chasers are funded 500 Poke Dollars from the government every week, starting from the day and time that their license was successfully issued.

However, on top of the usual spiel of dangers associated with traversing rough, less-than-hospitable terrain, the Chasers have an additional threat to their lives. Unbeknownst to most of the Chasers, the Legendary Gijinkas are being targeted and attacked by a mixture of brutish thugs, cunning criminals and cold-blooded assassins, all known infamously known as The Silencers. The Silencers all have individual reasons for their attacks on the Legendary Gijinkas. Some have a natural battle-hunger that can only be sustained by fighting these powerful Gijinka, and whether they manage to slay them or not is of little personal concern. Others are arrogant enough to believe they could take on the whole world if they wanted to. Some may have started off as plain old Chasers before being swindled by one of the other Silencers, and are now blindly loyal to them as a result. Others have been "contracted" to aid them from the start, being compensated with more money than they'd normally earn from a more honest lifestyle. Some have personal beef with a specific Legendary Gijinka, someone assigned to protect them or perhaps the ideal of being a Chaser as a whole. And others just want to watch the world burn around them for the sake of appealing to their lack of sanity. Whatever their individual case, The Silencers are notorious for one thing as a collective and one thing only; they're extremely powerful, and very dangerous.

The Chasers that you guys get to control will be made aware of the threat that The Silencers pose, yet are willing to take that risk for the sake of Gijinka-kind. After all, it's either that, or watch idly by as The Silencers take away their dreams and those of generations to come one step at a time. I'll probably plant all the playable Chasers in one town or city that will serve as a starting point, but aside from that, I want some sandbox elements to the RP in which you all get to decide who you'd want to travel with and where you'd want to go. I'll have a few plot points on standby for specific areas, and if a group needs a "direction", per se, I can try and think of something on the spot.

...

Right now I'm still in the middle of world-building but, provided I have enough interests checked, I'll likely try to get the OOC up the following week. This'll come with its own Discord server, as well as a detailed character sheet that I can put up earlier if you guys want me to.

So yeah, hopefully this appeals to enough people.

Agreed! Hellhounds are the best!

As for the Pokemon I'm going for, I'm thinking either Typhlosion or Hydreigon at the moment, but we'll see.

I may be interested in this as well. Some time ago I found an adorable Sandslash, but really I haven't made a definite decision yet.

Not sure about the two Sandslashes, if I'm honest. I know for a fact that Charak wanted two Lycanroc sisters, and I don't want too many chars of the same species, even they're two different forms (this case being one Alolan and one Kanto). So...

...

@Ridlins@Mangrale I'll let the both of your reservations slide for now, but I'll probably have to analyse the sheets that you two make thoroughly.

Speaking of which, I'm still finalizing how I wanna structure the CS. If you guys want, I can see if I can put it up tonight so you can start app making.

Interested. Don't think I missed anything against it, so can I assume that doubling characters is okay? I'm trying to get back into writing and would like the chance to crack open a few different types of characters for some practice.

This won't hinder my quality per character, so don't fret about that.

Regardless, if the CS could be put up tonight, that'd be cool. I'd like to start on some concepts as soon as possible.

That depends. Two apps for two different species of Gijinkas will be completely fine, but as I just posted, I'm hesitant on allowing one too many dupes. I don't want a playable character base of, say... 2 Lycanrocs, 2 Sandslashes, 4 other mons and nothing else.

...

That said, I just realized that the supposed Alolan "Sandslash" that Ridlins wanted was actually a Sandshrew. Good thing I took a second look at that :/

I plan for them to all to be pretty different from one another, species included. No worries about doubles of the same species from me.

Perhaps I should have placed a few dibs there in my last post? The Pokemon I had in mind as of now are Poochyena and Ampharos.

KK, that should be fine.

I'll be taking a Milotic and a Cryogonal for myself just so everyone knows.

I'm interested in this as well, I saw however some of what you posted and didn't know if you wanted a limited number of people or not? If not I'll gladly get a character made up.

I had more of a general idea than an actual reservation. I'm more than able to choose another mon.
