@King Tai You see! This is what we need more of, interesting expressive characters with clear themes and grounded powers and abilities.

You knocked it out of the park brother, he's approved.


I mean personally, I was trying to go with an original powerset rather than go with something extremely similar to an existing character, but that's just me.

And your final product is just that, I wouldn't have approved her otherwise, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to bring it up.

Exactly. I mean no disrespect here, but you're implying that we don't have a lot of interesting, expressive characters with clear themes to them in our current roster. I would argue that most, if not all of the accepted characters are very different from each other and have a clear theme to them.

It just seemed like an odd thing to say considering that @King Tai's character has a powerset most similar to an existing hero than any of the other submitted characters.

I don't think @Dynamo Frokane is comparing it to the current roster, I think he's comparing it to the plethora of pitches that he's rejected, both publicly and privately.

@DC The Dragon@SpicyMeatball you are both acting oddly defensive for people whos characters ive approved, do you honestly think if I found your characters dull, or repetetive in any way that they would be in the CS tab?

You both have put forward interesting concepts and I praised you both a good job on creating them, the fact that ive given King Tai praise shouldn't make you feel insecure about anything.

As @Stern Algorithmhas said, in this thread, PM and discord ive rejected A LARGE swath of ridiculous, samey, and edgelord Character concepts. Let Chaotic Chao tell you about the guy who was trying to make a superhero who was made out of caramel.

Why would I 'be defensive' after saying 'I can dig it' about his character last night? I have no problems with it.

Well damn...things jumped off rather quickly....

My opinion probably don't count that much but...personally, I think everyone brings something interesting to the table regardless if one's power set is similar to certain heroes. I personally don't give a damn if my character is flashy or not...or if he's praised. I just wanna kick ass and take names the way my character would in the name of justice and develop him along with his relationships with other characters. Honestly, I like the diversity of powers and abilities everyone has here. And everyone's power/skill sets are quite interesting.

I know there's misunderstandings and all but before things get too hostile and salty, let's chill and brainstorm how we're gonna turn this sum' bitch out.

Alright, that's my two cents, I'll shut up now :)

Hard to read understanding level on the internet if you only address one part of what was said by the both of you, but I digress. I was only trying to be helpful because all I saw was that it looked like you didn't quite understand what he was getting at.

EDIT: I like the current roster, everyone seems to have their respective place and potential role to fill ^-^ I hope we get more interesting characters our way with cool powersets and motives! :D
