The ghostly forms of the wolves, while unsettling, didn't seem to discourage the Players from facing them. Utterly silent but lucid forms of phantom-like shadows, the unnatural beasts still seemed to be affected by physical damage. Strange, one may think, but you remember this is a game. Numbers speak for themselves, more so than what your actual senses are telling you. All physical attacks seemed to pass through these wolves as if players were swinging in thin air like a bunch of fools. Arrows shot from the archer passed through them just like the sword strikes from the Paladin and Swordsman. Yet damage was dealt and their health bars dropped. One of the wolves were stunned briefly, before Phantom Walking through the Lancer who disturbed it's ethereal form. Ghostly cold wind passed through the Lancer, only to appear behind him. The one challenged by the Paladin bared it's teeth and turned into a pale blue color, sucking in misted mana that leaked out of the Paladin. After it absorbed his mana, it too Phantom Walked through the Paladin. The last Phantom Wolf joined in with it's kin to further damage the Lancer; it viciously lashed out several times with it's paws, ethereal claws bypassing the heavy plate armor and tearing directly into the skin of the Lancer.

✧DAY 5 - Dungeon, "The Hill's Sorrow", Area C✧
6/22/2076
- Route 1 and 2 are Dead-Ends.
Area C seems to be abandoned... there was an eerie silence offset by the rustling, warm winds that disturbed the grass. The day was still bright and the green scenery before you is calming yet, you can't help but notice an unnatural tone in the nature. Not a single cry of a bird or chirping of an insect can be heard.
*Thick Skin (1/Marauder) - User gains small damage reduction for a few seconds after being damaged. Does not stack with itself. Passive. *Vengeful (Level 5 skill) - User gains 25% additional Strength for a few seconds after being hit by a melee attack. It feels good Paralyze thinks to himself as he swings the mace through the wolf’s skull. Like his previous time, the mace was clean even though it passed the enemies’ skull. And the phantom wolf’s health bar only diminished by an insignificant amount of health. And that makes Paralyze to be very happy. Happy because finally he can vent out his anger without worry if he might make the thing breaking too fast.
But why are those things don't stop moving? Why don't they stand still for him to hit them? Paralyze wonder to himself without realizing the simple logic behind it. That these things do live and nothing wants to be killed. Yet strangely, these answers never come to Paralyze's mind as he takes out another strike on the phantom’s wolf spine. And once again, the mace went through the wolf's body as if Paralyze just lost his mind. But Paralyze does not seem to care as his right arm readies for another strike. And then, the words come from somewhere. The words were stretched beyond Paralyze's ears to recognize. There were also many empty places or murmur voice between the words that he heard. It caused Paralyze’s hand to be halt for a second or two as an eerily fear suddenly snapped him out from his anger. His face twitches from a mean grin to a gasp. His mind tried deciphering the message, but what could it be? What is “Sign of Grow?” What is it referring to? What is he afraid of? What happened outside? And this time, Paralyze's strike is much harder and heavier as Paralyze strike with not only his force but also with his wonder and fear about the mysterious phrase he just heard. And the earth cracked beneath his feet as 20 points of strength hit the ground. Another small hole about 10 cm in diameter was created because of a man's self-wondering and afraid of the unknown. It was insignificant, but Paralyze found himself to be less worried about what yet to come.
Maybe he is going to die. Maybe he is going to stay here forever, married an NPC, have a house, and die whenever the Horseman of God decided to come and take his life away. The thought of owning a house along a clear blue lake seems to be more appealing than ever in Paralyze's imagination eyes. The columns would be made from thousand-years old trees, sleep in the room that is decorated with the beast that he had hunted. He would spend days and days while listening to the song of the wind and wave overlapping each other each time he opened his door. The sand would be pure white, trying etching itself on his barefoot as he trailed down the sea. And somewhere in those pictures, Paralyze would found his family. The old man with the crooked back that also drinks cheap booze. The old lady that always said, “How are you today, son?” The butler will say with his deep and low voice as Paralyze entered the manor, “Welcome back Little Master. Welcome you home.” 2 rows of housemaids, 7 males and females that stood straight on each side of the red carpet, bowed as he walked across the red carpet. And he would go up the double curved stairs. And he would hold the handle of the staircase as tight as he had never before. He would hold the delicately crafted crow just to observe every detail of it. But then, he would race up the stairs like how he used to when he was a child. When the car was not disfigured and the thing never happened ….
It is all but a dream in Paralyze's mind. It is an illusion of what might have been if Paralyze is not paralyzed. But in here, it could all be true. In this world, it will all be true. He will never be alone again. No more pain. No more endure. Just happiness. Pure happiness.
But then, rage stepped in with its unending anger. There will be an end. There shall be dead for there must be death. And his fate shall be forever sealed with the inescapable mark. And nothing is more dangerous than the man that had nothing. He had no fear in taking any risk. Even death could not make a man to fear more than he could. And with more times and times, he will grow tolerance against the fear of death. Take a child who was born during the Stone Age. He or she would likely to be more easy to accept the idea of dying than the children of the 21st century. For what fear could be more horrified than the mind? A man that could tell you that he is going to die, turn out to die in the mid-conversation. Or by the next year, he would still alive. And just when everyone thinks that he is going to be fine, he will just turn out dead in his apartment. Just imagine the stress of those people, knowing they will die horribly. They will suffer the slow death, losing their senses as the clock tick. For others, it could be a mere second. But for the dead, the fear makes the times to be longer. Make it bountiful. Make it endless. Fear stretched time out, until that person is trapped within this black zone and lost all his or her knowledge about the time flow. And they will forever alone. Or that is what Paralyze thinks. The image of his gorgeous manor that resides near the blue lake is now replaced with a red color. A simple tone of scarlet. The pumping blood. His fuel to survive. And everyone is painted with it. Even the ground and the sky above him are painted with this mundane color. The same unchanging music, the one that people usually sing in the cathedral, filled his ears. Its extremely low tone, mourning as the dead is judging by God to see if they could enter paradise or Hell. And Paralyze refused to see that picture as he walked near the coffin to see who is the owner. Rage. Carnage. Frenzy. “The darkness of man did not come from those around him, but within himself" Paralyze remembered hearing something like that coming from his father's mouth. And that is before the old man begins drinking. He held his cheap booze on one hand and holding the Bible in the other. The shattering sound of expensive glass bottles can be heard from the hall. Pictures and portraits being ripped by a sharp object. The wall is painted with black and grey, making the manor to be cold. The ceiling with its crack, sometimes shed some concrete dust on the marble floor. Decaying it must be. And here Paralyze reside, as a result of the downfall of marriage and family love. Here he was born, raised, and educated for his entire childhood.
Paralyze thought was cut there as his mind coming back to the present, the moment when his mace passes the phantom wolf's hind legs. It is the fourth strike, just like any other strike. And conflicts arose, both shall never back down. Still, only one side shall be player. The other? The played one.
WE WILL PREVAIL. WE HAVE TO PREVAIL.
~ Gordon England~
Summary: Hit the phantom wolf 3 4 times:
Strike one: at the wolf's head Strike two and three: at the wolf's spine Strike four: at the wolf's right hind leg
Think about stupid and unnecessary philosophical idea.
For a second there, it seems like the group's attacks were just passing through the enemy like they were nothing, however for some reason they still seem to lose hp when they hitted. "Well, crap this is problematic." Karma remarked in earshot of Reylan. After doing his attacks Karma switches back to his support role took a look at everyone health, and notice that Polak was missing about 25% of his maximum health judging by the health bar above his head. Polak was also looking pretty hurt from that claw attack despite his plate armor. Though Karma barely knew Polak, he did not want the death of a teammate on his hands to he pointed the end of his staff at the guy and consider healing the guy.
As the end of his staff begin to glow a bright green he begins wondering if healing him now was truly the necessity. Karma then turned away with angry. "Tsk!" Karma said canceling his spell. "P-Polak I'll treat your injury with a bandage(First Aid) later b-but for now I need you to bared with it." Karma told him sounding a bit nervous as he delivers the bad news to him. It seems he feels bad for making Polak endure the pain. Karma then walks closer to Reylan. "It seems that physical attacks are less effective on these enemies, so I think it best that i use some of my DPS spell on them." Karma told him.
Karma then moves into a good position, aimed at the most injured Phantom wolf and once against fired a dense sphere of water past his teammates that would finish off Wolf 1 if it hits. Afterword then turn to Paralyze who was getting too into it again. Karma then signed as he remembers how much of a problem Paralyze was going to be, it seems like hitting the wolves with his spell Water Whip was going to be a problem cause paralyse was in the way so instead Karma summons his menu, when into his inventory, summon a flask of water into his hand, and begin chucking the water down as fast as he can before throwing the flask away above his should all cool like. Afterwords Karma then lined up another shot and fired a more power version of Aqueshot at the second Phantom Wolf.
Considers healing Polak but cancels Tried to finish off Phantom wolf 1 with Aqueshot(gets 50 mana back from using mana payback). Drinks Water to boost water magic Then attacks Phantom Wolf 2 with Aqueshot.
Shiba watched as his shuriken were thrown and it seems he would need to add some more points to his throwing skill since he wasted two of them. He was able to get three embedded into the wolf before Paralyze could go in and strike the wolf that would normally snap anyone's spine. Paralyze was brutal and Shiba was honestly starting to like his savagery he would be endlessly useful on the floors to come. Shiba knew that he couldn't stay in the background even if his job was ranged attacks he had a sword and he wanted to use it.
He decided that he should wait and let the tank do his job and take the damage since he was no doubt sure the wolf would be winding up for an attack and as a rouge his defense was abysmal. He then decided to get into position for a sneak attack instead. He grabbed his blowgun and he took 5 needles and he shot them out in rapid succession once that was done he pulled out his katana putting his blowgun away. He snuck around the wolf and used his camouflage skill and hid against the wall waiting for his chance to strike...
---------------------------------------------------- Summary: *Used blowgun and shot 5 darts at wolf 3 *Snuck around used camouflage skill to hide behind wolf *Pulled out katana waiting for sneak attack opportunity
Reylan watched his allies on the front-line fight against the ethereal foes, his eyes moving from right to left observing the results of their efforts. The silver-haired archer nodded in agreement to Karma's statement "Yeah, this will not be easy." It was time to make a assessment on their foes. Physical attacks, much like he expected, were not very effective and in fact did not connect with the model of the wolves at all. The good news was it still registered some damage with each successful swing. The damage output by Karma reinforced his order for the healer to do more combat spells. With a second volley sent towards Wolf 1, he expected the wolf to fall and they could move on "You're right. Finish off Wolf 1 and then fire another spell at Wolf 2" He responded to Karma In any game, it was often best to take out the weaker targets first.
They were standing on advantageous ground now, but they could not relent in their assault [color=violet"Aster and Dirk, you two charge wolf 2! Dub fire what you can at Wolf 3! Shiba, Polak, and Paralyze keep up the good work! You did well Karma, but try to conserve mana now!"[/color] The faster Wolf 2 fell the quicker and easier Wolf 3 would be "Don't hold back everyone, focus on taking them down!" He commanded. One other observation he made was that armor meant nothing to these ghost wolves. Polak had taken quite a hit despite being dressed in plate armor. Dirk took less damage but his mana bar had been drained instead. These were certainly tricky enemies.
Now it was time to discard the tactics for action, he drew three arrows from the quiver just above his waist. Reylan's teeth bit down on two arrows as he loaded the first, taking aim for the center wolf (wolf 2). He released the arrow but did not wait to watch it fly before taking one of the arrows held in his mouth and notched his bow once more. Once more he fired at the same target, adjusting based upon his previous shot. After it was cleared from his weapon, he notched the final and third arrow. This time he switched his target to Wolf 3, tugging the taut bowstring back as far as the bow-limbs could handle before releasing. This fight was all but won.
___________________________________________________________________________ Summary: -Gives Orders --Aster and Dirk to attack Wolf 2, full offensive --Polak stays on Wolf 2 --Shiba and Paralyze stay on Wolf 3 --Dub fire magic on Wolf 3 --Karma conserve magic -Fires normal arrow (2x) at Wolf 2 -Fires normal arrow at Wolf 3
"Whoa, these wolves are stronger than the others one," Dubstepp stated the obvious. The phantom wolves had survived the first onslaught of attacks from the party. Occasionally, some of them would have died by now; however, this was different. Now the party had to make another attempt at their next turn of actions. The musician tapped his chin with his finger. He wondered if this was some foreshadowing toward something more dangerous.
He removed the thought from his head with a simple head shake. Dubstepp needed full concentration and needed to rid all of the negative scenarios in his mind. Looking at the rest of the wolves, the musician tried to see what was the best course of action. He heard Reylan speak, but that really didn't give him anything to lean on. Dubstepp recently lost his magic lightning spell due to one of the new patches. There was not enough Renn in his pocket for him to purchase new spells for his disciple.
Dubstepp bit his lower lip. With a calm motion, he ordered Totoro to keep punching the wolf in the center. Afterwards, Dubstepp tossed a series of darts at both the left and right wolf.
SUMMARY: Totoro hits Center Phantom Wolf. Totoro hits Center Phantom Wolf. Dubstepp throws dart at Right Phantom Wolf. Dubstepp throws dart at Right Phantom Wolf. Dubstepp throws dart at Left Phantom Wolf. Dubstepp throws dart at Left Phantom Wolf. Loses -4 Dart from inventory.
✧GM's Timeskip - DAY 5 - Dungeon, "The Hill's Sorrow", Boss Room✧
6/22/2076
- Route 1 and 2 are Dead-Ends. - Boss room is through path 3.
Finally. The boss fight. A staple event in so many RPGs you have tried, yet this is the first time you are doing it in Talrae. Even though you've been expecting this moment the entire time, a strange yet welcome sensation of experiencing something new flows through you. You are scared perhaps. Or excited. Most likely both. The situation at hand is fairly understandable - fighting the boss of a game. Yet the medium in which its represented is so foreign - literally fighting a monster with your own two hands. The boss room, like rest of the dungeon, doesn't feel too much like a stereotypical dungeon. You come across a wide and open field of green grass. 3 beasts that were resting starts to get up to face the human intruders. Werewolves. More beast than man yet they maintain a strange humanoid shape. The biggest of them speak in a guttural tone. "Intruders..." The other 2, smaller lycans step infront of the large one and eye you. "Brothers... fallen... Spirits... avenging!!!" One of them spoke, their voice even less human than that of the biggest one. Without warning, Fenrir's Herald Howls into the air.

With every fight, Reylan's leadership and strategic choices improved to the point where he was comfortable in the position he had been given. A plan didn't need to be elaborate every time, just organized enough that people were where they were most needed. He had taken the time to observe the other's performed spells and actions so that he can be more specific when needed. Every time he watched the HP of one of his allies drop so too did his heart, taking it as a clear indication that he needed to improve as their leader. Death was not something he wished to face, whether his or another's. That was why it was a relief that everyone had made it to the boss fight, although a little worse for wear.
Their numbers had increased once more with the addition of Solace, another swordsman to bolster their front-line ranks. Once again, the friendly archer had welcomed the new addition with open arms into their party after exchanging quick introductions. The next area would no doubt be where the boss would appear, a challenge tougher than everything before "Listen everyone, I know everyone is a little beat-up but we're here. There's only one more obstacle standing in our way from clearing a dungeon. Together we have overcame every obstacle thrown at us so far. We are going to throw everything we have into this fight and we are all going to come out victorious. Now, how about we go kick some ass?" He faced the party as he said this, ending with a large grin plastered on his face. "Heal up and recharge your mana if you can." There might not be a chance to do so later. Fear of death didn't stop people from living in the real world, so why should it be different in the virtual one?
Reylan made sure to drink the blue potion in inventory before entering the area, wanting to cap off his Mana before such a dangerous fight. He also approached Karma to let him know that his primary role in the boss fight will be heal the others and cast de-buffs on the boss. The entire atmosphere changed the moment they entered the normally majestic-looking field. Somehow their more humanoid figure made them all the more terrifying to the guild-master, normally human-shaped bosses were the hardest. Before he could even utter a command, the one named Fenrir's Herald utter the most ear-piercing and bone-chilling sound he had ever heard. A weakness befell him as he saw his life bar decrease, the color shifting to a dull yellow. The boss had just done a fourth of his health and the battle hadn't even started...
He didn't waste time thinking about the unfairness of such an ability, everyone needed to jump in to action "Dirk and Aster, You two put pressure on the boss. Defend each other and keep his attention for as long as you can! Karma, your healing priority should be on them." The best move would be to eliminate the supporting monsters on his sides. Once they were killed, they could focus everything on taking down the boss "Polak and Dub, you and your summons take the Lycan on the left; designated as Lycan 1. Chari, keep out of striking distance and deal as much damage as you can with them!" The faster they went down the better "Solace and Paralyze, you two will be taking the Lycan on the right head-on! Shiba, go with them and dish out the damage best you can! Alisea, I want you to give them fire-support!" The phrase wasn't meant to be literal, but it might as well have been. "When you defeat your Lycan, go after the boss and surround him!" Reylan had not yelled like he normally did, thinking that if the beasts knew how to speak then they could also listen. His plan was to attack Lycan 2 along with Alisea and take it down quickly.
For the moment, he shifted out of strategy mode into combat mode plucking an arrow from his sheath to start. The arrow notched nicely onto the bowstring as he pulled back, releasing the arrow while bringing forth his Power Shot ability at the oncoming were-wolf creature. His hand shot back for another arrow, hoping that his newly acquired bow would prove its effectiveness. Once more he sent a Power Shot towards his foe, a strong look of concentration in his silver eyes as it left his bow. His mind drifted to the three precious arrows in his inventory, a great temptation urging him to use them now but he resisted. They were for a desperate situation which this was not. Instead, he decided to conserve Mana for the boss and fire a normal arrow to finish his barrage. Reylan looked down at his hands, they were shaking now that he stopped firing. He was afraid for his own life but more so, he was afraid for the others. This fight was going to down to the wire, so he switched out his arrows for the obsidian ones he received the last time.
_______________________________________________________________________ Summary: -Drank blue potion x 1 -Healed (300HP from Karma) -Gave orders to Party -Fired two arrows at Lycan 2 using Power shot -Fired standard arrow at Lycan 2 -Switched to Obsidian Arrows (10 in Total)
As she faced down the boss, Aster felt herself splitting in two. Not literally, of course, but a sort of shift in perception. Half of her mind looked at the epithet granted the beast, and remembered the Aster she'd left behind, the one who knew that Fenrir was the wolf son of the Norse god Loki, a sign of the end times. She could remember specific legends, even picture the illustrated page she'd first read the legend from. That half of her mind was filled with fear, and somehow also curiosity. She wanted to know more, and wanted to run, to hide behind the strapping guy beside her.
The other half of her mind looked at the beast and only felt the thrill of competition. She looked up at the creature, way, way up at it, and felt the smile building on her face. She didn't know how to feel about it, but that didn't matter. In that moment, caught between the two selves, she made a decision. She cast away the Aster that snubbed those less than her, the Aster that thought money and privelege were the hallmarks of success, the Aster that was blind, blind to everything. And she accepted the Aster that stood by her friends, that saw clearly through the haze of battle, that was something like a hero.
If Aster had been fire in battles before, now she was lightning: fast, deadly, and precise. Her sword moved... not like an extension of her body, exactly, but more like an extension of her will. She moved without thought, instinct guiding her movements with a precision that would have scared her had she not given herself entirely over to the thrill of it. She roared out a challenge as she sped across the distance between herself and the wolflike creature, leaping forward, higher than felt possible, her katana held one-handed as she plunged forward, activating triple strike in a flurry towards the beast's unprotected chest, aiming for wherever such a creature would have a heart. She was vaguely conscious of the presence of her team members near her, and for once, didn't try to block them out. She let their presence buoy her in her action as she released the third strike, and then shifted her grip to a two-handed slash as she finally met the ground.
Summary: Uses triple strike, uses two-handed strike (critical from battle focus) and lands facing Fenrir's Herald. Also, introspection.
Dice roll for gold gain: 2(200 renn) Dice roll for sliver gain: 5(100 renn) Dice roll for copper gain:2(10 renn) Dice roll for health loss: 1(-100) Dice roll for the first and second amount of mana loss: 2 and 2(-400)
After so many battle fighting wolves, wolves, and even more wolves it seems that the group had finally arrived at what seems to be the final challenge this dungeon had to offer, The Boss, and oh though the group was not yet through Karma was confident that the group could make it through this final challenge with any casualties, for the group had better numbers and higher levels than the 11 people who defeated this dungeon before them, at level one no less. Frankly, it would be embarrassing if the group wasn't able to complete this challenge today.
"Alright everyone saves your potions and gather near me so i can heal all of us at once so we can save our potions." Karma told the group before making the Ring on his finger glow a blight blue, then he held up and staff and begin casting a spell which made the top end of his staff glow a bright green, Once the incantation was done Karma then cast ::Restore Vitality:: Which cause the green glow to spread to everyone around him restoring their health, after which the ring on his finger stopped glowing. Karma then went into his inventory and unequipped his Ring of Ballius and replaced it with his wooden talisman.
"With my blue potion and Wooden Taliman, I now have a total of 2490 point worth of mana left, so I should be able to keep everyone healed during this battle just as long as the fight doesn't last too long." Karma informed them with a smile. "On another note will i be the only one surprised if the boss of this dungeon is anything other then a wolf?" Karma joked.
and with that, the group then enter the boss room to be greeted by three werewolf like-creature, with the middle one being extra big and spiky. One of those werewolves were not like the others, one of these werewolves was the boss of this place. That What Karma's gaming senses told him. Karma then looked at the Herald smugly "Pfff Called it!" Karma remarked all snarly like before getting into his combat stance; where he turns himself to the side facing the enemy, spread his legs out, and aims the end of his staff in the direction of his enemies. But then the Herald begins casting a spell and before Karma knew it the boss suddenly release a loud roar that knocked him and some of his team members off their feet.
"Oww fuck!" Karma remarked before hopping back up as fast as he can. Reylan then ordered him to focus on healing, While Dirk and Aster were given the Duty to keep the Herlad busy. "Roger!" Karma told him before waiting for Aster to draw the boss' aggro before he casts the Enfeeble spell at him to help weaken his attacks. Afterwords Karma then moves to a point where he could keep Aster and Dirk healed with being in harm's reach. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -Summary -Before battle Uses Restore Vitality Along with the Ring of Ballius to heal everyone(Everyone gets back 300 health). “He should be alright now. Why did he have abnormal heartbeats all of the sudden I wondered? Did he hear or see something in there?...”
The words break as the world around Paralyze once again fall into silence. His mana and health slowly arise as a combined effort of Karma's Healing and his Medication spell. His stomach stops grumbling after consuming 2 biscuits and a pouch of water. His thirst for beating the enemies had ceased. His pounding heart is now beating very normally. What used to be so significant, seems to be so mundane. His hatred for his whatever reason is no longer exist. There are only the chatterings from his teammates and the clattering sound of their amours. His mace had now dry, covered by the scarlet blood with their ickiness and unremovable smells. Its edge had becomes rigged, jacked as its surfaces smashed against the ground for no less than three times. The wooden handle is deformed, slightly tilted to the left. Even the armor, used to be smooth and pure black, is now being dented at the chest and scares along the spinal area. The air around them is still, unlike how it used to be a few hours ago. And Paralyze hate this sense of normalcy. Such mundane. He could still hear the words coming out from somewhere. Although he could not listen what it meant, he could feel it. He could feel something is wrong. And the uncertainty only makes him angrier. Yet, what has made his blood boil and sweat to be excreted now turn still and flow normally. The red eyes, caused by eruptions of blood veins, are no longer to be seen. His pupils become normal, returned to its normal size as the brain no longer in “Fight or Flight" mode. Everything is just too still for his comfort. And it reminds him of his passing time. He could felt the Scythe of Death is right at his throat, ready to slice its open.
“Anytime now. Every time now…” He heard its whispered.
Then, before Paralyze's eyes, he saw three figures. Humanoid figures. Able to walk and live, with infinite lifetimes humanoids are standing in front of him. It seems like everyone was in a rush, seeing how this is a Boss fight. But the sense of normality is still remaining within Paralyze. His body remains the same. The heart does not raise one beat more. The blood veins are not pumps. The pupils remain normal size. And no sweat was being spilled to cool himself down. Only Paralyze's soul is frantically yelling, urging him to battle. But what should be a bloodthirsty, ruthless, and sadistic warcry turns into an emotionless and unnecessary long sentence.
“Let's the enemies’ blood to pave our way to home.”
But what matter is he lets his battle cry out, Paralyze thinks as he used “Boost Self" and “Strong Body" before heading right at Lycan 2. He did what he believes as the best, smashing. And with his kite shield covering more than half of his body, this would be an execution than a fair fight.

Shiba had worked with the others and had helped them get to the end of the dungeon as best he could and as a result, he took a good chunk of damage despite his class. He was a rouge and wasn't meant to go in head-on but he couldn't avoid damage altogether. He did his best to be useful to them as they moved through the dungeon and soon they found the boss which turned out to be a werewolf and two guards. As much as he wanted to stand there and admire the details they put into making the werewolf so realistic he remembered that he couldn't stand an gawk all day he needed to work with his guildmates to defeat him and get the loot.
Soon he was given orders from his guild master and he was told to go after one of the guards with their swordsman and Marauder. He didn't rush in though because he needed health so he noticed that Karma used a restore Vitality Along with the Ring of Ballius and he got healed for most of his health. Once they got out of here he would thank her properly for healing him though their might not be a point to doing so since it was her job but showing appreciation was always important, at least that's what Shiba thought. Once he was healed up he knew he had to do as promised and deal as much damage as possible and through his small list of skills he only had one that would do just that however once he used it he would be vulnerable.
He charged forward Katana drawn and said "Now die!" he charged forward and ran through the wolf with his katana from the muzzle down to the tail as he performed <<Fatal Strike>> on the wolf.

The trip to regroup with the rest of the party had not gone exactly smooth, a few encounters with monsters had left her without 200 of HP and at the cost of the majority of her remaining mana. That of course meant that she was going to without her actions for the boss fight, which could prove to be a challenge. From the looks of things, the other people were in the same shape or worse. She stepped over in Karma's direction to receive the healing he offered. Emerald eyes watched with a small smile as her HP bar went back to full, at least she would have that going into the fight "You know Karma, you're a pretty useful guy. Thanks! She threw him a thumbs up before walking off to consider her plan of attack.
Her body trembled upon seeing the three hulking humanoid lycans that faced them, but in the good way. The White Wolf had given her the greatest thrill since getting trapped in this game. She hoped that these new monsters would provide just as much enjoyment. Their leader didn't seem to waste any time coming up with a strategy and giving out orders "You got it chief!" Chari supposed that at the very least, he was reliable. As she visualized the plan of attack in her head, she immediately realized the tactic Reylan was using. It was the timeless classic of a 'pincer maneuver', attack strongly on the sides and crash into the middle. She was content with her role, all she needed was a target to stab and she was happy.
Chari waited until Polak at the summoned creatures aggro'd and attacked the Lycan before she darted off, maneuvering around the creature to place herself behind it. It was her hope that it would be too distracted by the three targets in front to notice her first strike. A bit of compeition raged inside for this fight now that a second rogue had joined the group. She waited for the Lycan had its back turned to her completely before she dashed in with great speed. Her legs muscles coiled and she leapt onto the back of the Lycan, much like she did to the white wolf, but she had to up her weight. The kunai went piercing into the neck of the lycan in two consecutive, swift strikes before she braced her feet against its solid back and kicked off to perform a black flip onto her feet. Once on the ground again, she pushed hard off her right foot and plunge her dagger deep into its spine. Once that had been done, she quickly back-stepped back wards out of its reach.
Summary: +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ -Moved around to Lycan 1's backside -Jumped on Lycan 1's back, and stabbed two times at the neck before back-flipping off -Thrusted her kunai at Lycan 1 with all of her force -Back stepped out of its reach
Dubstepp gritted his teeth, his mouth formed an awkward smile. He was expecting something much larger for a dungeon boss. He shook his head in disappointment. The musician began to eat his words when the creature began to howl. Taking a glimpse at his mana, he noticed he took a heavy hit. Dubstepp was starting to lose precious points; he is going to have take into consideration how to spend the last 200 of his magic.
Dubstepp readied himself, taking more of his time into observing the three enemies. They weren't wolves technically. Well, if anything, the creatures appeared as wolf hybrids. They all stood on their hind legs and walked like man. Most likely, their concept art must have been inspired by werewolves. Looking over to his Totoro, he wondered if his pet could withstand them. Dubstepp couldn't hear anything for a moment. His heartbeat raced as he tried to think.
He wasn't sure what to think about. Dubstepp might have just been worried. He whistled for his pet's attention and directed him to the minion on the left. The musician was not about to send his first monster to fight a dungeon boss especially at the health Totoro was at. The rabbit beast immediately followed his master's directions. Sighing, Dubstepp then turned his attention to the boss. Given how he was behind everyone, the beast tamer decided to help damage the boss.
Dubstepp began chucking a couple of darts at the dungeon wolf boss.

While the first visit to the dungeon had been a disappointment, this raid was glorious. As they explored each new area and fought each new wave of wolves, Alisea grew more and more excited. Thus far she had maintained her outward composure, but with each battle her urgency to move to the next had grown. Not even the appearance of the two strangers and the brutality of their psychopath was enough to damper her excitement now. Near now to the final area, as Karma gathered the party for a mass heal in preparation, Alisea pulled out her talisman to replenish her all-but-depleted mana. Even keeping up on her Chakra Magic had barely brought her this far. And she had relished every spell cast on their enemies along the way.
Now prepared, the party followed Reylan into their final battle, an impatient Alisea right on his heel. They were met by three wolves. Wolf-kin, rather; they were bipedal, though the magess didn’t doubt they could move frighteningly swift were they to drop to all four legs. Even more interesting, though, was that they spoke. A flash of fascination flew to Alisea’s eyes, but was quickly tempered by the knowledge she wouldn’t have a great deal of time to study this.
A tremendous roar cut the thought off entirely. Ice raced through Alisea’s body, reaching into her very core with such intensity it burned. For a moment she dared not move; shivers shook her frame. Once the damage was done and the effect passed, a burning anger replaced the chill. ’How dare you.’ Her eyes narrowed in a glare just as cold as the spell the lycan had cast. ’How dare you utter such absurdities. How dare you challenge me. Us.
Reylan was giving orders. Everyone was jumping to it readily, dividing off this way and that. Alisea’s were simple: destroy the wolf to the right. But before that, she had a bone to pick. ”Someone must learn to keep his mouth shut,” Alisea spat, conjuring a Frost Bite. If he liked ice so much, surely he would like this one. She projected her magic straight at his grinning maw, trying to force the ice into his jaw.
Either her spell did nothing, or the wolf had so many hitpoints the effect wasn’t visible; either way, his health bar didn’t move a millimeter. Alisea felt a little better for having done it, though, and now her task was to unleash every fury she held upon her designated minion.
Paralyze had already waded in, his terrific mace flying with abandon. Shiba was circling wide, letting the marauder take the brunt. That Alisea could agree with; she herself stayed several strides back, and the more hits their psychopath took, the merrier. She had a brief internal debate about which she should help: Paralyze, or the wolf. But a desire to clear the dungeon won out, and she summoned first ice, then fire to her hands.
”Do try not to get hit,” Alisea whispered, far too quietly for the marauder to actually hear her. Her magic plunged in, then Shiba, then a spell again—all the while Paralyze slugging away, seeming happy to trade blow for blow. As the party continued to traverse the dungeon, Polak found it harder and harder to keep himself from nodding off. Although there were a few close calls and annoying encounters, the idea of relaxing after a day like this has excited him more than anything else. To rest back at an inn, take a hot bath, and eat a nice meal after this thrilled him. This prospect made him press on with slightly more vigor than, at least enough to prevent him from making mistakes due to his exhaustion.
After more walking, they encountered the boss room. Before entering, Polak decided to take the time to prepare and use Meditate to recover some of his depleted MP and then was healed by Karma's spell. With the preparations done, Polak followed the party as they entered the boss room. Upon entering, they were met by three talking werewolves, and without any time to think, was immediately followed by the most imposing one letting out an ear shattering howl that certainly woke Polak to full attention. He grimaced as he saw everyone's HP drop by 200, a dangerous spell he thought he should keep track of.
Reylan not wasting any time gave out orders to engage and Polak followed. He reached out his left arm out and casted Finger Lightning on the Wolfkin Guard to the left then followed up with the usual Charge. Wary of Edelweiss' health, he ordered Edelweiss to do a hit and run attack on the Wolfkin Guard while it was stunned.

The battle concluded with some difficulty, as the ghost wolves seemed to be able to completely ignore Theo's defenses. Still, the party managed to survive, and the rest of he battles that the party participated were ended swiftly, a combination of all their efforts combined. Resting, Theo deliberated the options presented to the group - they had already seen a decent chunk of danger, and the loot they had collected to this point was satisfactory or a single trip. Honestly, Theo would have preferred simply leaving with what they had rather than risk a boss fight. After all, bosses were far stronger than regular mobs in most RPGs, so what was the point of risking it when your life was on the line?
Of course, he said nothing. Dirk would never turn down a challenge, even if it was suicide.
Reylan gave everyone a needed pep talk, and while it did little to change Theo's view, it at least gave him some confidence. His defense was ridiculous, and with Karma as a healer combined with Theo's massive pool of health, he was unlikely to die. What really mattered was if his Mana would last - it was already at 150...
Karma healed up the party, and the group made their way to the open field that presented them the boss of the dungeon. Theo clenched the longsword he had found during the excursion, praying that this wasn't going to be as bad as he thought it would.
The menacing figures in front of them caused Theo to slightly falter, but he didn't feel nearly as scared as he would have. Once again, the Rosary and his acting skill allowed him to retain the facade of bravery. Internally, he still loathed to look upon the monstrosities that faced him down. Reylan gave out his orders, as he had done in the previous battles.
Of course, this meant that Theo had to go against the biggest of the bunch - looking at the scene, there was little in the terrain that could assist them, and with a paladin's poor speed, Kiting the boss while letting the ranged players attack was impossible. Since he had only a single way to gain aggro, and it was single target, there was no choice but to use it on the biggest guy. Theo understood the reasoning in Reylan's orders.
It didn't make him feel better about going against such a large opponent. A roar arced across the battle field from the main opponent, and Theo swore under his breath. The roar itself wasn't too intimidating - not with the Rosary. The reasoning behind the cry was that Theo had just lost 200 health - before the fight even started. Theo was already running low on HP, so the blow was unneeded... Still, he had more health than most of his companions. Theo sliced into the Herald, before letting loose his own roar and guarding with his shield.
Aster managed to land her own blows easily, performing an incredible leap. Theo knew for a fact that she was far faster than him, and with her lack of heavy armor, she was much lighter on her feat as well. Theo never really liked evasive tanks that much, since they were usually pretty squishy, but he was glad another person was at his side.
Theo wasn't able to see them, but he knew that the spell casters and ranged players were a good distance away - they needed to be, considering the danger they could be in...
In his peripheral vision, Theo saw Paralyze and Shiba slice into one of the guards, and chari was quick to deliver her own blow onto the other. Theo prayed that this wouldn't draw the aggro too heavily from him and Aster...
Theo already broke his promise to the party - Many of them were wounded. Far more than never taking "A single point of damage" like he promised. It was for that reason than, no matter what, he couldn't let anyone die. Not again. No one here would end up like him...
Theo's grip on his shield and Sword only strengthened at the thought of Kajin. His hands burned and ached, and Theo was surprised his health didn't drop from the strength he put into his grip. His teeth were clenched and grinding, and Theo was on the verge of tears. This was unreal. Not even a week ago, he had been a kid in a college, ecstatic to play the most realistic game in history. Now he was risking his life...
But if he had to risk his life, Dirk would... No. Theo would gladly risk his life to protect the people who had helped him this far.

"Gee, it sure is boring around here... I haven't seen anything cool for like, a while! Just give me something to fight. A monster, a player - hell, I don't care if you send a clown or something my way! Just give me something I can practice my magical powers on and I'll be happy!" A white haired lady clad in purple, known as Lehariel Leet, complained to herself, as she ventured throughout the sprawling green hills that went as far as the eye could see... this location was The Hill's Sorrow, one of many dungeons to be found within the world of Talrae, or at least, that's what Lehariel had heard.
And, as one would expect from a dungeon, it was fraught with peril. Lehariel herself had caught sight of various none-too-friendly looking wolves, some of which she even had the opportunity to fight. But other than that, Lehariel hadn't seen much in the way of monsters. In terms of players, though - Lehariel had previously caught sight of what seemed to be a band of adventurers, who seemed to be quite the colourful crew indeed. Mages, warriors, you name it, they had it. Maybe. Lehariel didn't think much of them at the time, aside from wondering which of them she could take in a fight.
But now, the white-haired mage pondered. Where were they now? Fighting off dangerous beasts, maybe? After all, it only made sense that a large group would draw more attention than some solo adventurer.
"So where the bloody hell are they at? Maybe I'll tag in with 'em, and get some good hits on some monsters! Or I'll fight 'em! That'd be good fun, but I'm not sure they'd agree with that, actually... eh, what matters is I wanna find those guys, see what they're up to and all. Make sure they're not taking all the fights away from me!"
Lehariel continued roaming the area, seeking out any potential scuffles just waiting to happen. And, just as luck would have it... she caught sight of two things that caught her eye. A familiar group of travelers... and a not so familiar group of wolves. But these were no ordinary wolves... no, these beasts were known as werewolves. Standing on two feet, the beasts had quite an imposing form, even from far away. The two opposing sides of human and wolf were locked into a fierce battle... and so, a thought came to Lehariel's head. "Looks like I got what I wanted... twofold! Time to really let loose!"
Lehariel burst into a sprint and headed for the battleground of humans versus werewolves. While it took a little time for the mage to reach her destination, she eventually arrived at the battlezone, Wooden Wand in her left hand. "Lehariel Leet's here to crash the party, and kick ass! Don't count on me leaving any of these mutts for you blokes, though!" Lehariel bellowed. Her morale was practically sky-high! A fight had finally come her way... it was time to unleash the magic and brandish the axe!
At that moment, Lehariel analyzed her opponents. There were three enemies, two of which were significantly smaller. A larger one, the Fenrir's Herald, was also present. Lehariel had a hunch that the larger wolf was most likely stronger than the smaller ones... and so, her eyes shifted to the two smaller beasts, the Wolfkin Guards. A malicious grin crept onto her face...
"Let's see how you stand this, you Twilight reject!" Lehariel called out, as she pointed towards one of the two Wolfkin Guards with her Wooden Wand in an over the top gesture, which pulsed with light energy. This was her trusty attack - Piercing Light. "Let's shed some light on the situation! In particular, let's shed some light on the fact that you wolves are about to get served by the coolest, most dynamic person in Talrae!"
A thin beam of light shot forth from the Wooden Wand, colliding with just one of the Wolfkin Guards. And shortly after this - her body began to glow, due to the effects of the Luminous passive ability.
"How's that for ya?! I bet it stings!"
Summary Sheet:
Traveled to the fight. Used Piercing Light on Wolfkin Guard 1. Due to using a Light Discipline Spell, the Luminous passive was triggered. Boasted about her abilities.
Honor through strength. Not "honor and strength". There was a big difference between the two for Solace and he lived his life according to such motto. And time had come to prove himself what he was worth. His new found companions were a cast of characters to say the least. Some he liked. Others, he didn't know yet. But if anything for the last few hours of dungeon-running has told him, was that they were competent at what they were doing - which suited Solace just fine. He appreciated capability.
Reylan gave out the orders... Solace wasn't a particularly submissive person but he recognized the need for such leadership. Whatever gets the job done efficiently was good for him. The shock of the werewolf's howl was stunning, Solace felt his HP bar dropping by a bit. He was glad he put in so much points into HP; death would be rather unpleasant. He Dashed over to one of the Wolfkin Guards - he was responsible for taking it out along with Paralyze, Shiba and Alisea. Solace followed up Alisea's set of spells with his own attacks. He decided to save mana, opting to attack the Wolfkin with a series of normal attacks. He was able to throw in 5 normal attacks with the aid of Double Strike, allowing his passive crit strike to go off to deal extra damage.
Summary: - Used Dash - Used Double Strike on Wolfkin Guard - Hit Wolfkin Guard 3 times with normal attacks (last one crit strikes)
✧GM's Timeskip - DAY 5 - Dungeon, "The Hill's Sorrow", Boss Room✧
6/22/2076
- Route 1 and 2 are Dead-Ends. - Boss room is through path 3.
The Lycans were fast and strong. Their unity in nature gave them additional strength and speed, making them difficult to defeat. Many attacks by the players have missed, as these creatures moved with blinding speed and agility, dodging many hostile moves made against them. They worked in unison, as if they have had many battles in the past side by side. 3 snarling humanoid figures covered in dark fur exercised savagery.
Fenrir's Herald, the biggest and the most powerful among them, was confronted by 3 players. Despite the weakening of its body though Enfeebling spell combined with Frost Bite, it didn't slow it down by a great deal. The Herald counter-attacked the Swordswoman by knocking her aside with a backhanded slap. But it was an intelligent creature with a particular hatred for magic. It had it's eyes set on a Trainer who was capable of using magic. Herlad was distracted only momentarily by the Paladin's Aggravate, sparing a second to swipe at him violently with its claws. Immediately afterwards it went after Polak. "Evil... magic!" It snarled, bearing its teeth. "Must die!" The Herald knocked the Trainer down with a mighty punch before grabbing him by the leg to throw him across green field. His speed and ferocity made sure he wasn't deterred by any players' attempts to stop him.
One of the Wolfkin Guards were faster than expected. It knew instinctively which target was the most prone to damage and went after the slippery Rogue. Her speed and quick knife-work offended him and he closed the distance between them quickly. It's Passive abilities giving it a large boost to its agility, it was able to catch up and get a few attacks in on the Rogue. One of them missed but 2 of them didn't. Before it could continue however, a flurry of darts and a piercing beam of light stunned it briefly. And before it could react further, it was confronting a series of beasts like itself. Before being stunned by the white horse's stunning charge, it manage to swipe at the giant rabbit, grazing it lightly.
The other Wolfkin Guard was under much heavier assault. The Marauder in particular was a powerful foe, able to match it somewhat in strength. However, his lack of agility saw to it that the Wolfkin was able to dodge a few of his powerful attacks. But those that did land dealt heavy damage. Wolfkin counter attacked quickly, choosing to use a flurry of fast attacks rather than heavyset strikes. Seeing how he was the most imminent threat, it decided to take out the Marauder first. Before it could continue his assault however, Wolfkin took on additional damage from the Archer's sniping and a series of magical spells from a Mage. Unfazed, the Wolfkin pushed aside the Swordsman and Rogue that were hindering him and bit the Marauder's arm and tossed him to the other side.
