Round 1
The two sword-wielding monks dart out into the arena, both taking up positions on high ground and awaiting the other party to come to them.
@Zverda - Hanani double moves into the arena, intentionally stepping into as close to the center of the area as he can.
@Ermine - Kyoumi cautiously walks north 30', her blade held in one hand and the other behind her back, making no attempt to move further.
Chung Po darts forward, seeing Hanani open, and grapples him, easily succeeding with a CMB of 31 (+1 from crowd). As a bonus action, he raises his first in the air and waves to the crowd, but they don't seem to approve.
@JBRam2002 - Maiko runs in as well and attacks Chung Po, but misses with a roll of 17.
@Big Dread - Seeing the team leader of their enemy had elected to reach his bloody end as quickly as possible, Haksir decided to assist him in that effort. He pushed his golem forward, clattering all the way up just South of Maiko and drew forth his extract of haste. "Obllige young Chung's suicide, eh?" he snickered before injecting the potent magical brew into the now giant feline girl.
One of the monks wielding a
monk's spade rushed in and swung at the largest target, hitting with a natural 20... however, he could not confirm the critical, dealing only 7 damage to Maiko.
@Muttonhawk - Stigmata deals 1 bleed damage. 9 bless rounds remaining.
Ming springs out slower than her companions, weighed down by her armour and shield, but she is no less enthusiastic. With a grin, she enacts odd, hypnotic gestures towards spade monk A. Too late does anyone realise the invisible telekinetic appendage that yanks sharply on his weapon...
>Standard action: Ming casts Pilfering Hand on Spade Monk A's weapon to perform an abrupt disarm manoeuvre. Result: 32 vs. CMD....With such force that it spins and slips free from his grip, twirling in the air over to Ming, who grasps it firmly in her cestus-clad right hand.
>Swift action: That was a combat manoeuvre! Time to do a performance check: 21Disarming a monk is not a clever move. Ming is not a clever woman. But sometimes things work themselves out as the crowd agree with a small cheer that it was awesome.
Finally seeing the hubbub behind the enlarged Maiko, Ming laughs. "Hanani!" she shouts with some odd thrum behind her voice, "It's just Chung Po! Stop cuddling!"
>After ending her turn, immediate action: Ming casts Liberating Command on Hanani. Hanani takes an immediate action to roll escape artist to escape Chung Po's grapple with an extra +20 competence bonus from the spell, but Hanani still barely manages to fail the check.@16 bit - Elora ran. The fight had begun and she wasn't going to be left behind. But first, she had to get in position. The elven girl ran 65 feet past Ming and Kyoumi; climbing the ladder and taking a perch on top of the middle platform.
The second Spade Monk rushes forward, darting around to barely avoid Maiko's waiting grasp and approaches Haksir. The spade darts out... and strikes against the golem's armor uselessly. The Meteor Monk avoids most of the fighting until he is sure he can skirt around Maiko's and Hanani's reach, then darts in to strike at Hanani, but again is unable to find purchase.
Round 2
The two blade-wielding monks coordinate their efforts, trying to pick off the targets that were away from their allies. Kyoumi in particular drew their attention, and the first monk double moved to get behind her without provoking. Thanks to the flanking from his ally, the second monk was able to dart in and get a strike on Kyoumi, dealing
8 slashing damage.
@Zverda - Hanani stares blankly at the Monk before him, Chang was it? Didn't really matter, he didn't care to remember the Monk's name at the moment.
"If you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was ask," he said with a deadpan expression before a slow smile creep onto his face,
"Have you seen my Mercy by any chance? It's a wonderful thing." With that said, somehow, maybe it was by the grace of the Gods, who knew, Hanani was able to successfully attack the Monk 3 times, Mercy's black blade slick with some of his blood as she bit into the tan skin held so close to her master. With each bite, the wound got worse, dealing a total of
31 normal damage and
35 non-lethal damage with the added benefit some Fatigue thrown in there.
"There, you've been introduced." With that said, he leaned in and kissed Chung on the cheek before winking at the man.
@Ermine - Meanwhile, off on her own, in a combat-oriented threesome with monks, Kyoumi could only smile as the monk who managed to hit her was covered in acid momentarily, taking
17 acid damage. She took a dancing 5-foot-step North to see both monks, thrust her sword into the ground dramatically, and unleashed a flurry those monks would be jealous of (since they don't have claws or a dragon's maw like she suddenly did) on the monk who hit her, dealing a combined total of
22 damage.
"Has anyone told you how tasty you are? Because you're pretty tasty.""Suicide is not my intention," Chung Po announced, but his momentary distraction somehow allowed Hanani to slip free from his grasp [Natural 1 to maintain grapple]. Deciding that holding onto Hanani was not a worthy challenge, the monk turned his attention to the much larger catfolk next to him and attempted his haste-enhanced attacks against her. However, Maiko nimbly dodged out of the way of each strike as they failed to land.
@JBRam2002 -
"Nuh-uh. Not today!" Maiko replied, unleashing her ki-infused hasted flurry of blows on the foes. The first two hits were leveled at Chung Po, sending him to the ground with a total of
48 nonlethal damage. The next three hits were enough to take out the unarmed spade monk with a total of
71 nonlethal damage, and the final ki-infused strike hit the final spade monk for
26 nonlethal damage.
"Who's next?!" she cried to the roars of the crowd. (-1 Ki for Ki Flurry)
@Big Dread - Watching the monk get beaten down like a freshman debating Arcane Theory with a twenty year Master made Haksir snort and giggle with delight, "Then you should have considered your descision more carefully." he called out to the now unconscious man. Suddenly though, he realized one of the monastic mooks was just to his left. "Ah!" the good Doctor said turning quickly to face the man and raise his hands in a pugilist's stance, golem belching smoke and dripping acid, "Fancy a round of fisticuffs, eh?" he engaged the golem and off he went! Sending what he thought was a marvelous jab and cross aimed at the poor man's fleshy head. Apparently he had been right. The strikes connected solidly, though, to his credit he still stood, the second punch slashing acid on the poor fellow. (two slams, 30 Bludge damage, alchemy, 3 acid damage and sickenened condition, monk resists)
Haksir quickly whistled for Hanani's attention, "Catch and drink for best results!" he took a quick step back from the monk and lobbed the extract of True Strike up and over the massive feline monk to his right and down hopefully to the waiting hands of Hanani. When he did so he was pretty sure the monk had tried to poke him with his sharp shovel, but, the golem didn't seem to have suffered anything but some minor scraping. He would have to buff that out later. (AoO does not beat golem's hardness)
@Muttonhawk - A tittering Ming practically skipped her way forward before pirouetting and tossing aside the heavy monk's spade in her hand. "So much fun!" She grinned and lifted her nine-tailed symbol to the sky. "These stuffy monks should remember the rules don't stop me this time!"
A shockwave of dark power leapt from Daikitsu's symbol and into the chests of each enemy combatant.
>Move action: hopscotch two squares North>Standard Action: Channel Negative Energy to harm, excluding all friends in the area with selective channel. 5d6, Will DC 23 halves: 21 negative energy damage. The remaining Spade Monk is KO'd! Sword Monk A is the only who passes the save.@16 bit - The monks didn't seem to last long. Elora had just gotten up to her podium and turned around when she noticed that half the opposing team had already fallen. Though, she wasn't one to be out done; drawing back on her bow and letting out a slew of arrows at various targets. [Hit on Sword Monk A for 42 damage, two hits on Meteor Monk for 38 damage, and hit on Sword Monk B for 19 damage.
Seeing that half of them had been knocked out and all of the rest of the monks were on the edge of consciousness themselves, the remaining combatants dropped their weapons and raised their hands in defeat.
