Daww, guess I gotta remake my character. New idea: He throws the coins he conjures at people, and if someone is hit by a coin then either they grow a head or they grow a tail wherever they were hit by the coin. Thoughts?
<Snipped quote by Crowvette>
Perhaps she and Cyan could be friends? If she doesn't mind being friends with someone who's as commoner as pretty much physically possible. Probably wouldn't be a fan of being called that, but there's nothing he could really do about it.
perhaps, people who're hit with trails endure some sort of status effect but those who're hit by heads gain some kind of buff, and if your character flips for himself then he becomes statistically luckier or less lucky?
Laurels is some kind of boarding school, right? I didn't really consider it but if it isn't I'm not sure where Lise will be sleeping.
@Crowvette Haha, could be friends with Samoth, but if she calls him "commoner" he may retort by calling her "civilian"(Even though he himself, is a civilian xDD) :P
EDIT: He isn't really offended by name-calling, but it may be secretly funny to him to call her that. :3
For Lise, calling people commoners is probably closer to friendly banter than it is actual name-calling, so it should be fine, right?

How does Cyan feel about touching fluffy tail? Fox hunting is a popular sport for royalty, after all.

Much better idea. I dig the mutation style 2 head freaks.
Biography: Michael grew up in a poor family with a single mother, who barely made ends meet to put food on the table. It wasn't much, but it was enough for the two to be happy enough. At least, it was enough, until one day a bully began to make his life miserable. The bully in question had influential parents as well, making it difficult to punish him. As a result, Michael couldn't do much to lessen the abuse he was receiving. He tried asking for help from friends and teachers, but both chose to look the other way. Coincidentally, the bully's father was also Michael's mother's boss, who was also undergoing some troubles of her own at work. Michael was left alone, with nothing but his family and the occasional stray animal for support. He liked animals, even if he couldn't afford to keep a pet.
As time passed and everyone discovered their powers, the bullying only became worse. The bully had obtained a typical steel-skin super strength ability while Michael found himself with a paintbrush. Needless to say, it was torture. However, Michael was not helpless. While all this was happening, Michael did what he could to figure out how his power worked and how best to apply it. He worked hard, and it eventually paid off. Michael found himself being able to stand on equal ground against the bully, and eventually overpowered him. The bully's father attempted to get payback, but the company found evidence of the father's harassment, as well as embezzling of the company's money, and was promptly fired. Michael's mother was also promoted to a higher position, and the two were able to live more comfortably. With the bully out of sight and out of mind, things were looking up.
As Michael grew up, he'd been overhearing classmates say that they wanted to go to good schools and be heroes, some even aiming for St. Laurals. He couldn't help but think about his past, how easily they had turned away from someone who needed help, and then claim that now they wanted to help people. If people were like that in St. Laurals, then what was the point of going there? He could no longer trust people who made claims like that, and eventually found himself not trusting heroes in general. There was no need to rely on someone else to save you; just find your own power and save yourself. That was his motto in life. So, instead of aiming for St. Laurals himself, he went for Mephisto's instead. His mother was understandably concerned, but Michael reassured her and managed to convince her to let him go. As a condition, though, he had to apply to be a Vigilante, which he figured he could live with. Sure, he spent most of his time there going after lost animals and doing community service, but that was fine.
Powers: Artwork: This power manifests itself as a simple paintbrush. The brush is capable of changing form, ranging from ones used for calligraphy to those you'd typically see with paint cans. The brush uses ink that seems to drain his stamina the more he uses up. The ink seeps through clothing, allowing it to reach the skin easily, and cannot be removed by normal means once applied. As for his drawings, their effects range on what they are, as well as his intentions upon drawing them. The larger and more detailed the designs, as well as how strongly his intentions correspond with the symbols he draws, the stronger the effects, and vice versa.
Fast Hands: With his brush in hand, Michael paints at a higher rate than normal humans, using up less time to paint his symbols.
Body Art: By drawing patterns and/or symbols, Michael can apply a series of buffs and/or debuffs, involving things such as increasing strength and speed as well as robbing limbs of movement. Given enough time and effort, even certain powers can be sealed or boosted, though this requires an extensive amount of ink to accomplish, typically involving full-body coverage. Inanimate objects are not immune from his ink, either, and can be weakened or strengthened accordingly. His Body Art will last for as long as Michael wants it to (or at least for as long as he's conscious), and can be dispelled by him at any time.
Trap Art: By drawing a circle filled with patterns and/or symbols, Michael creates a trap waiting to be sprung at his command. Different symbols with create different effects, but most involve restraining and/or disorienting targets. These can also be painted on virtually any solid surface, including peoples' bodies. Unfortunately, unlike Body Art, the effects of Trap Arts are temporary once they are sprung, with even some of the best lasting roughly an hour, while the worst last about a second. Of course, even that is assuming that the one affected isn't strong or skilled enough to break free from his Trap Arts.
Relationships:
Alto Ganze: Michael deems him a difficult challenge to overcome. His Light abilities will make him too slippery for Michael to restrain easily, and Michael would potentially get taken out before anything could be set up. He is still currently researching and experimenting with how to successfully win in this fight.
Clara Deimos Edrigan: Michael finds her nerve wracking, and is unsure if a fight with her would even be a wise option. Nevertheless, he figures that if he can get to Clara's grimoire and seal it up, it would be a won fight. The only problem is actually getting to that step.
King: Weird. Just..... weird. Oh, and DO NOT ENGAGE. Concede the fight and run. Michael is all about close combat, making King's ability to fly a complete counter. Fortunately, it seems that as long as he a Vigilate, that fight may not come to pass.
Name: "Gourmand" Gilliam DeWitt Age: 16 Grade: 1st year, Mephisto Backstory: 14 years ago, a small, remote village was found empty. Aside from a few patches of bloods, there were no remains whatsoever. The only survivor was a young Gilliam, who was found eating a large bear a few days later. Unfortunately, he was found by representatives from Mephisto's School. He was adopted, and from a young age groomed as an assassin.
His childhood was a lonely one. He learned not to try to eat random people pretty fast, and was taught to be both a ruthless killer and a perfect gentleman. Now properly enrolled at the school, he seeks to make friends and also maybe eat some strong enemies.
Powers: Core Power: No Anatomy: Gilliam usually appears human, but in reality his form is completely malleable. He can absorb living things into his form, and reshape himself as he likes. Shape shifting: Gilliam can reshape his body however he wishes. While he takes the appearance of a somewhat tall young man, in reality he is an 500 pound blob of biomass. He can replicate any organs or tissues a human has. For example, he can give himself extra arms, or make scythes of bone to cut people up with, or reshape his entire body to fit through a three-inch wide pipe. He can't copy foreign objects, but he can eat them and integrate them into his body. Finally, he can use this power to change his appearance and voice, and can copy anyone he has seen and heard before. He's not the world's best actor, though, so people close to the target might catch him. Regeneration: Gilliam can reshape himself to heal from most wounds. If an arm is sliced off, he can just pick it up and stick it back on. He could also regrow it, though it takes a few seconds. Burn wounds from fire or acid actually take several days to heal, and a strong electric shock will make him unable to heal for a few minutes. Omnivore: Gilliam can eat pretty much anything with no ill effects. Eating things that could conceivably be considered 'food' (e.g. sandwiches, babies or cake) will add to his biomass. Eating inanimate objects lets him graft them onto his body. For example, if he ate a bunch of knives he could sprout them from his fingers to make claws. He often digs through the trash to eat random things.
Relationships: Alto Ganze: As the president of St. Lauriel's, Gilliam would like to see Alto destroyed. However, Alto's power directly counters his, so Alto is one of the few people Trevor actually fears. Clara Deimos Erdogan: As a loyal student of Mephisto's, Gilliam respects and admires Clara. He would one day like to attempt to battle her. He has no desire to depose her. Rather, he wants to test his abilities. King: Gilliam finds him somewhat insufferable, and would like to kill and eat him one day.
@Ebil Bunny Working out the result of his coin tosses ooc is probably going to be the best option. Still though, you can use a random number generator for when the result wouldn't matter so much in the grand scheme of things. I like Cyan a lot though, please move him over to the character tab!
@Scarifar Michael's pretty good, although one slight problem is the actual location of Mephisto's isn't supposed to be known, but he could've found it some way or another so it doesn't bother me. You can go ahead and move him to the character tab.
@HeroicSociopath Heheheh, I've got the perfect role for him once we get started >:D. You can go ahead and move him into the character tab.
@Hammerman I must've missed it, but what faction is Christine in? I'm assuming it's mephisto's, but I might be wrong. EDIT: Ah right, it was Mephisto's. Uhh, just ignore this ^^;
Born as the sole child of two parents whom had previously been teachers at St.Lucifer's school. But since two years ago both his parents were part of an accident which caused their deaths. It was long believed, ever since he was born that he was going to be attending the school which his parents had worked at. But that idea was shattered when the boy in question sought entry into St.Laurel's school. Where all would know just who he was and who his parents were. The dishonor wrought upon the St.Lucifer's school by this apparant betrayal would had been grand. A thing St.Laurel surely wouldn't mind.
Against his dead parents wishes and the wishes of those whom shared their wicked intentions. He had during most of his life followed the whim of his both parents, though not without question and with disdain to some of the things they demanded. Their ambitions were not the same as his own. His parents were also partly fearful of his powers, dreading to wound him during training or otherwise because of his poisonous blood. Thus he was kept at a distance by both family and their friends.
He did contribute on that part himself aswell, as he did not want to inflict pain on others unless there was a really good reason for it. The ambition of the boy was to get to the top and from there make the world how he wanted it. Having been fed up with living his life to fill out some other peoples dreams rather than his own. Freedom. All deserved the right to chose how they wish to live their life no matter how long or short it may be.
This mindset was something Andreim decided to take to heart. But even if people deserve the right to chose how to live, no matter who they would be there would always be people opposing them. That was fine though. Andreim had been blessed twice with the powers now under his command, immense and powerful as they were. They could not grant him that one wish he craved more than any other. To be rid of that cursed blood in his veins. That which kept him barred from contact with others, that which kept him physically exiled from one specific part of life.
Someday he would find a cure for it. Someday he would rid himself of that cursed metallic tainted blood and see her.
Young Lady Liselotte Castellan de Valois-Saint-Remy. Who he had unfortunately fallen for. He cursed that too. Love was a double-edged sword. A curse like the blood in his veins. A weakness. Something which could be exploited by his enemies. He utterly despised it. Yet at the same time that girl had something. What was it? What was it that was driving him mad? She was the sole reason why he had applied to join St.Laurel's instead of St.Lucifer's. But he would never let anyone know about it. His weakness. The idea of anyone harming that girl. It did not sit well with him at all.
When it came to personality, Andreim was generally calm and collected, prefering to analyze people in order how to best approach and deal with them. Both for fighting matters and social. He wasn't the best looking, nor the strongest, nor the fastest. But he was cunning and he had the most adaptable weapons at his command. His mind and the power to amplify it. His voice is quite smooth and calm, but bears a kind of coldness to it. Like it would sound for someone partly cheated of life. He however has a habit of being very judgemental and arrogant, though most of the times he hides many of his darker thoughts behind a soft smile.
Powers:
Core power: Water manipulation
This is his core power. Andreim is able to create and control water. Not only water made by his own hands but all forms of it. He does however need to be in contact with it in some way in order to manipulate it.
Either by his own water coming into contact with like a fountain or pond. He may control boot-high water enough to fill up a warehouse. He may chose to gather it together to create a large wave aswell, or create a spinning water vortex under his feet which he can ride on to increase his movement while flinging spinning vortex-slices in an opponents way. These would bear a knockback force but not deal damage unless knocking an opponent into something or amplified into ice saw-blade like projectiles.
His water attacks generally consists of throwing blobs of water of different size and numbers, manipulate water like a whip constantly in motion or using jet attacks like a very strong firehose to pin or knock back opponents. Most of these attacks do not do any or very Little damage unless amplified into a ice or just using an overpowering amount of water like a large wave.
1st power: Thermal manipulation
Water may boil or become steam, it may also freeze. Thus Andreim may raise or lower the temperature in an area around him or a specific area of his choice within ten metres. The smaller the area he tries to change the more potent it is in heat/cold temperature.
He is highly resistant to heat and cold temperature effects himself though. But not the force of them. Example: Being hit by a shard of ice will damage him or getting thrown off his feet by a powerful fireball detonating on the ground before him.
Application examples of the power:
-Raise the temperature to a decent level that could cause people to faint due to heat if they stay in it long enough without any way to ward themselves from it. -Lower the temperature to a decent level which could cause watery surfaces turn to ice and cause overall chilling cold. -Raise temperature to a high level in a short area around him to create a barrier of heat enough to melt bullets. Things which cannot be affected by temperature bypasses this ofcourse like for example lightning bolts or energy beams. -Lower the temperature on an object, ground or wall before reversing to intense heat to cause it to crumble. -Use the the said power to create ice projectiles, ice walls, create jagged spikes of ice out from water, ice barriers from using his water manipulation prior or affecting another source which is temperature dependant. -Use the power to create mist or steam after heating up a previously cold area.
2nd power: Power connection
He may use his thermal and aqua mastery to detect heat sources (his irises turn bright orange and glow, to his detriment sometimes) and he may also feel if someone is standing or walking in water under his control or dropping things into it.
3rd power: Mercury blood
Andreim should technically not be able to live. But he does. His blood and overall fluids are poisonous, thus he is dangerous to others, especially when wounded. He has however learnt to use this as a weapon.
If need be he may inflict a wound on himself and then let his blood follow his water attacks in an attempt to poison his enemies. His mercury poisoned blood however keeps him from getting close with people. His skin is oddly enough not toxic enough to cause any lasting damage other than perhaps a slight irritation.
Which is something that bothers him as he is in love with Lise. He also won't use his blood to damage people which he bears no ill intent towards. So if fighting against someone he doesn't consider an actual enemy, even in a tournament he would surely not use it.
Relationships:
Alto:
"He is like me. Powerful. But also very unlike me. He lacks the proper motivation for sure. He is my anti-thesis. I have the tools to beat him, my skill and will is stronger than his."
Clara:
"She is what my parents expected me to be. She is strong. But she is like a dog in a leach. She is not in control or thinking much on her own for certain. More like a puppet for her father."
King:
"King. A king alone on his throne, and hes the only one blind to his foolishness. None is unbeatable. All one needs is the right approach. If he ever gets in the way I shall enlighten him about it."
Katherine:
"She is fierce if provoked. True to the talk about a woman scorned. A dragon in the guise of a girl. Her power is very destructive. But against me. Her luck would run out."
Brutus:
"He is a threat to me. His powers partly counters my own. I need to be very careful with my attacks against him or I will lose."
Bak:
"I cannot help but feel sorry for her. If there was something I could do to ease her pain."
Ria:
"I do not like this one. Not one bit. The girl's mind has been clouded by a poison worse than the poison in my veins."
Rurik:
"He has the potential to be really powerful. But he lacks the focus needed to get to the top so far."
Zachery:
"I may not be able or desire to kill you immortal. But I can encase you in a tomb of ice where you could stay forever if you wish. Then your power would become nothing but a curse which you would pray for to end."
Samoth:
"One of a few which I am very careful around. He has the look about him and the means necessary to contend with me. One of the major threats to my rise."
Sidney:
"All that grows must one day wither. If you go up against me I shall send the chilling cold of winter to make you hibernate."
William:
"Like the old bards in the books. Best not let yourself get caught up in your own faerietales or you may become a mythical thing yourself and vanish aswell."
Liselotte:
"The girl whose the sole reason for me being here. Why does she make my cold heart feel like it is on fire, when I cannot barely feel my own generated heat. If it weren't for you, who knows what I would be doing."
Christine:
"Like her sister. She too is impressive. Probably a slight bit more troublesome for me to fight. Underestimating opponents is not overly wise, but I think I can beat her with my powers."
Cassius:
"Rush ahead too quickly and you may run... out of time. Or slip on a cold surface."
Cyan:
"Flip a coin enough times and it will end up on the edge. What is the meaning of that tail?"
Michael:
"Allow me to paint something out for you. Before I brush you aside."
