Confession: it was more than once, and this is back before everyone had cell phones with cameras. I made them sit there and stay still while I drew. ^.^;;

@shylarah I think I'm going to start doing that. I've followed a bunch of tutorials but they've only helped a little xD

Honestly, tutorials are good for poses and stuff, and a little bit for technique, but you also have to train your eye to pick out the shapes of light and shadow. I have seen a serious improvement in my technique since I started doing that. Granted, my pose and anatomy stuff still sucks, but I'm better at accuracy. A bit. Sometimes. ^.^ And I understand it's useful for anatomy stuff too.

I learned a lot by watching other people draw, too. so not just stationary tutorials, but video ones -- and livestreams of people just arting, where they're not teaching anything but you learn anyhow.

I like that her feet are in the water and her other hand is mostly behind her so you really only had to draw one.....what the word for hands and feet? I wanna day appendage but that’s not right. Anyways, my sarcasm aside very nice drawing

Hey Mae, long time no speak. I had no idea you were so talented in this way too! I can't help but adore your art style so I figured I'd post some info about my character here.



So I don't have a full sheet for you (Play him in a tabletop game actually), but I know the guy pretty well.

He is a cleric for the goddess Amarine, she is a goddess of abundance.

The man himself is named Omari Gentille, he is a Mountain Goliath known for being barbarians, bloodthirsty warriors and killers. But his parents left him on the doorstep of the mountain temple of Amarine and instead he grew to love life. He acts Amarine's honour as a gatekeeper between life and death in fact.

While he is 8"4' tall and 300lbs of muscle you'd most likely notice the pink flower he wears behind his ear, or his equally pink-lavender eyes. He has a gentle expression, all things considered, and is often found sitting in nature feeding animals. He has a black mohawk as pictured above and the same skin tone and face paint as well. He carries a mace with him as his weapon of choice, but feel free to leave that out.

Omari is, above all else, kind. He wishes to enjoy a life experienced in kind with other living things and takes a great deal of joy in learning new things about nature.

As far as information about a pose/expression, I saw the lovely piece of artwork you did just a bit earlier, so I don't want to make you do something similar. So perhaps a snowy scene, in which the giant can be peacefully petting a small animal of some kind. Something that emphasizes his kindness, but also perhaps his burgeoning strength.

I've been doing alot of personal work recently, so sorry for no serious updates. I did get a pose down for Aerebella and some sketches of Cao the Exiled's beautiful rogue but I still can't decide if I want to do a fullbody for him or a headshot _{because I have had alot of fun practicsing his golden eyeliner and I lowkey want to make the piece about his eyeliner shhhh}

aaaand if you have a girl character in the wings you're waiting on and just want a realistic headshot kinda like this feel free to make a request. I still don't have alot of control over the proportions of the facial features just yet though xD

phew sorry for the wait guys, this thread is still very much on my mind every day and I haven't forgotten about you.

I'm currently in the middle of an 80s training montage and I'm hoping to pop out of my chrysalis at the end of it with mad art skills

either way, once I finish with my current batch of pose practice I would like to just sit down and focus on getting the remaining requests done.

because god knows some of you have been waiting since the ice age
