But if you don't have a rune, there is no defense. And the common folk don't really have runes(At least I don't think so). Even a strong will matters little.

Eh, Psychomancy can produce images of horror, but can't recreate them unless the user is physically strong enough to do it themselves. Making people think they've been eviscerated or pulling their anus though their mouth is all fun and not, but it can't beat doing it by hand.

Yes but if you learn to create a effective warden in your mind to prevent entrance. Also once you realize it's a illusion then it would lose all it's meaning since it can't hurt you, beside Lucius made Psychomancy as more of a supporting magic then a purely offensive magic and likely to change to bring it slightly more into balance.

It's a matter of preparation really. "Willpower" is just raw material, without any form of tempering it's moot against a decent Psychomancer. So long as your brain has a pulse (And even than) and Psychomancer can break your will. How easily depends on their skill, and maybe if you've been taking your required lessons.

Basically, take Satori's classes, and you might stand a chance. But you want to rely on your own "Willpower" or the assumption that you're "natural" ability will pull you through? You're gunna have a bad time.

Yeah... she might not be teaching those after her little stunt, one of her older and more advance students might but not her.

Oh no, she's more than willing to do it herself. After all, she is the head teacher; why should she bother doing all of this if she doesn't expect at least a few to try to stop her? Of course she'll have some helpers in case one of her students plans to try to get vengeance on her, but as the Psychomancy teacher, she knows when this will happen pretty much all the time. Unlike others who can't take the feedback of reading the minds of everyone in a room at once, Satori can take it peacefully, even picking up whatever bits are important to her. I assure you, while Psychomancy does not have direct applications in combat, it does not make the user useless in a fight. No magic should when properly mastered.

Haklo is used to psychic attacks now. Still hurt by them but to this level that Satori did, he will recover fast. Desol Senior is very strict.

Btw, May I do a NPC Sheet for Baron Desol?

Favored Magic: Master Psychomancer, learned in Noxomancy
Appearance: 6'2" and 180lbs and slender build. Wears dark color clothing personally tailored to him. Wears the family blade, Malus, at his side until he passes it to his son. His eyes are icy blue and when he glare. A lesser peasant may feel chilled to the bone under that glare.
Traits: Calm, Collected, has a friendly expression when he wants to put it on. Can act like your best friend. Is a planner and a schemer. In his court, he is in charge. Every facet of his being.
Not known to everyone, Baron Desol owns a personal greenhouse in his estate where he tends to his flowers and strawberries. He is a surprisingly good florist despite his reputation.
He has a chain of informants all over Port Slaughter and some at other courts in Djarkal.
The Baron is a master swordsman and a dirty fighter. Honor in combat is one of the more demeaning ways to die to his eyes.
Desol handles traitors of his court personally. When he discovers a spy in his midst, the individual is next seen wandering the streets of some nearby town, his or her mind broken beyond repair.

Short Bio Synopsis: Before becoming the Baron of Port Slaughter, Thalen Desol was the son of Warlen Desol, also a psychomancer. He was the second son of four and two sisters. Not all of them were psychomancers but the two eldest, Thalen and his older brother Harken, were exceptional Psychomancers. They became their father's personal warlocks and spyhunters. They handled the affairs of searching and eliminating any and all threats within the court.

Harken Desol became power hungry very early in his life, mastering psychomancy faster than his younger brother and had his eyes on the baronhood since he knew what it meant; power. He was also very paranoid and cruel, not as subtle as his father and brother. He broke the younger siblings, seeing them as threats. When his attention was on his father and younger brother, he was assassinated by Thalen. Thalen may not have been as much of a heavyweight as Harken but he was far shrewder. He stabbed his brother in the back right before Harken managed to overpower his father in a battle of wills. With that, he became the Baron of Port Slaughter. He had only one intention, to father one son. Infighting in his court would not be profitable to anyone as rumors still surround him about the deaths of his siblings and father.

Not that I'm denying it or anything, but is there any particular reason making a CS for him? I don't expect that he'll be a regular, or does he play a critical role at some point in your character's future? Or were you just bored and wanted to make another CS instead of posting in the IC?

I am working with the IC and I just really wanted to make a sheet for him. He may rear his highly groomed head in two possible scenarios

1)He comes personally to give Haklo the family blade and responsibility
2)Someone of the group find themselves in Port Slaughter.

Edit: Another possible scenario is a gathering of Lords and Ladies in other courts.

Just letting you know, my internet is out at home, so I might be delayed in responding to things.

Also, what is going on with psychomancy? I feel it directly impacts me, but I don't have much time to read everything.
