@Zeroth So I am planning to start a post and was wondering if I am allowed to write my own combat scenarios and how my character deals with them to make up for the lost time.

Am thinking of just writing random actions expected of a newborn exploring the world around as I am role playing my character like he is trying to escape his memories in this new world. So he won't be regaining them anytime soon, unless him remembering them after a fixed time is compulsory.

The actions that I plan for my character to perform will mostly consist of "accidental happenings" that reveal something about his:
1. Magical abilities and different interactions between them and how they affect the outside world
2. How his body reacts to outside physical stimuli, to his magic and many other things in general, his properties, what he is made of as to say
3. Any other thing that doesnn't fall under those 2 categories

So I'll have my character perform a bunch of actions and adding:"the effects resulting from what he did are noted" and just pile these up so you can give your verdict in the end to what actually did something.

Or can I just ask you in OOC for this stuff. Just wanted to clarify the separation of things that can be asked and things that can only be learned like spell combinations.

If you really and truly want him to suppress his old life or have amnesia or something, I suppose you could do that, but it would kind of defeat the purpose of the "isekai" or "person from our world in a new world" genre. If you DID do that, depending on how much of his human self you really "suppressed" he'd either lose his mind entirely and become just like the random monsters, in which case his behavior would solely be based on instinctual or biological imperatives until he gained more intelligence/awareness, OR he would be like a completely blank slate human--he wouldn't know his own name or where he came from, just the "general" knowledge that a person with certain kinds of amnesia retains. But because so much stuff is tied to memory he'd be losing some distinct advantages.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to get at with the different actions aside from general experimentation, and I'd rather you not run your own random encounter combat scenarios because of some behind-the-scenes stuff I do for them. If you have questions about stuff you'd like to know the answer to, go ahead and post them, but I may not give direct answers to everything. The whole point of this RP is encouraging players to be creative, to experiment, and to explore.

I wouldn't know how souls correlates to memory but I assumed that since his human soul was transferred inside the creature he'd have a faint sense of what his old self would do, like a guiding compass with no signs and his memories would constantly try to catch up. Just wanted to keep this up a little just for the beginning.

And yes, all the actions would be general experimentation. Was just wondering if I'd do that for everything or ask about some stuff.
So I'll ask.

-I remember reading in an IC post that wisps could be physically hurt. So are they somewhat between half corporeal and half spirit? Cause you described them as "A floating orb of magical energy" so I wouldn't guess that to be corporeal without reading a post.
-Do they take fall damage?
-Do they need to breathe, sleep, other basic human needs?
-Does a normal wisp have the same intelligence as a human? Say, if we reach the final evolution choosing a form that has the highest possible intelligence among all other evolutions, do our human memories and origins affect that intelligence? The characters are already more intelligent than the creatures so they basically override some negative features, does that apply to positive ones too?

And for the encounters, wanted to borrow a goblin and possibly 2 fairies just to showcase the personality of the wisp.(they are gonna die)
Or I can just write the first days as "dodging and avoiding all conflict" while experimenting.

Originally Wisps were going to be more spirit like, but then I figured "No they still need to be at least partially physical cause the others need to be able to hurt and kill them."

As of now, a Wisp DOES have a physical body. It is essentially a Koosh Ball (look it up if you don't know it but I bet you do and don't realize it) made out of very squishy flesh and soft hair instead of rubber. The hairs have a quality somewhat like the fibers or filaments used in electronics, and the magical energy that suffuses such a small body flows through them to create the differently colored auras that make them look like floating magical lights.

If they use up their MP, they have a much harder time Levitating, just like you would have a hard time holding up your entire body on a pull up bar when all your muscles are exhausted. They won't generally run out of MP just FROM Levitation, though. If they can't hold themselves up and they fall, or if they are knocked to the ground, they DO take fall damage.

They do need to eat, sleep, poop, etc. It is assumed the less pleasant biological functions will usually take place off screen. So long as they are near some source of food and water they don't have to get very specific with that either. Pixies and Wisps can, to an extent, subsist off of Mana Crystals and ambient mana, but that's mostly like baby food or something and won't keep them going indefinitely once they mature enough or start using up more energy to hunt and fight.

Wisps are NOT anywhere near equal to human intelligence under normal circumstances. I'm not sure what else you're asking when it comes to the Earthlings' minds overwriting those of the monsters they have become. Even if there are "stats" mentioned, this isn't a setting where one can be smarter than someone else just because they have a higher Intelligence or Wisdom stat. Learning is based from experiences and study just like in the real world. As former humans who have already lived and been educated in a modern day environment (except a few characters) the players are far and away smarter than most entities of this world in regards to certain things.

Write the first few days however you'd like, but in the first week there aren't any random encounters because the characters are basically infants during that time. If they didn't spend their time hiding, avoiding conflicts, keeping to themselves and only getting what they needed to survive, etc they'd already be dead. If you want to fight certain creatures just look specifically for those creatures in the cave and you'll be more likely to have a random encounter involving them.

Just listed the things it did as I didn't want to make you read 10+ paragraphs of convoluted it/its/itself. Just wrote it like that to show that it he still didn't have his memories back and as such was simply another ordinary wisp.
Well...not exactly ordinary.
-It used lesser force and levitation to spin in a forward vertical manner, imitating a wheel while picking up a rock and fire and water and some air and rotating them horizontally around it

Sonic the hedgehog in avatar state

Edit: And sorry about the goblin, I wrote it like that cause I planned for that to be an earlier kill before I got caught up with all of you. It ended up being near the end. I'll change it to leave it open for your insertion.

The experiments are mostly fine, but keep in mind what he'd be able to accomplish over a seven day period and given what has already been described about the cave. He couldn't do experiments with fire because the only source of fire is the goblins' bonfire, and that'd be far too dangerous for him to go near right now. His Lesser Force is also nowhere near powerful enough to use "high pressure zones" or anything like that.

I would like you to basically remove the encounters with other creatures though, because of what I said before about random encounters.

I don't know, when even greens look thin...are you hinting that Lorek should start eating animals now? I mean those pixies are about bite sized.

The herbs are "thin" because several characters have been picking and gathering them--like when a resource node runs out in something like Monster Hunter. If they're picked too clean, along with the Mana Crystals, it'll negatively impact everyone's ability to heal themselves and restore their MP--which is the only thing that has kept some of them alive thus far.

Also pixies are roughly a foot tall. Small, yes, bite sized...depends on what's biting.

@Jobst
She'll recover from the paralysis shortly, more than likely even in my next post. Now that the poison's activated she isn't seizing anymore, just laying there kind of numb and breathing lots of short, shallow breaths.

Here's my CS. Messed up a little and lost what I was going for in his past life, but hope its acceptable.

Name: Reothadh 'Reoth'

Theme: N/A

Gender: Male

Species: Fanged Lizard

Appearance:
Reoth is fairly unique, well, pretty unique specimen. With the majority of his scales being white, and the only other color being light gray, he stands out from other Fanged Lizards. His light gray scales start from atop his head and travel down his back to the tip of his tail in a wavy strip pattern. Aside from color, he has a little bit of a longer neck by an inch or two. Finally, he has a pair of icy light blue eyes.

Goals:
Perhaps to explore the world, or see the Demon King who brought him here for answers. He doesn't know enough about the world he lives in now to have any goals set in stone.

Past Life:
In his past life, Reoth was a normal guy by the name of Damian. Damian had an ok upbringing, never really causing trouble, coasting through school with acceptable grades. For some time after graduation he drifted from job to job, earning just enough to make a decent living. It wasn't until he found a love for wood working and smithing that things began to look up for him. He moved to a much colder climate, finding the low temperatures more comfortable to him, as it was the only place he could find a teacher for smithing while teaching himself wood carving.

After a few years of apprenticeship, he was able to begin maknig a comfortable life when he struck out on his own. Unfortuantely, it all came to an end when a distraught man, who's sibling had used one of Damian's knive to commit murder before being gunned down, arrived at his workshop with a gun... the police knew about the man's intentions, but weren't fast enough. Damian found a strange comfort unlike any time before as he lay in the snow...

Abilities:
-Stun Fange I
-Poison Spit I

Transformations:
Fanged Lizard >>> ...

Inventory:
He's a lizard, its hard to carry things.

I should have joined when I first saw this.

Is it too late to jump in? What kind of characters are a little light on? I'm thinking Slime but I just wanted to ask.

I think Wisps are currently the lowest numbers. GM would be better at saying though, considering I don't know who's active and who's left(temp or not).

If its alright, I'm going to try and throw a quick fanged lizard CS up here. We're probably getting kind of full / a little late into the tutorial, but this seems like a fun little experiment.
