@Master Bruce I noticed you rejected a sheet on the basis of it combining DC and Marvel elements, which totally makes sense. My current idea for Vigilante is that he is, however reluctantly, the current vessel of the Spirit of Vengeance, making him Ghost Rider as well as Vigilante, the idea being he took the title as a bargain to spring himself and a ragtag Seven Soldiers of Victory out of Hell. I do genuinely believe I have more going for the character than the shallow appeal of "Hey, look, two characters in one!", but I understand that despite this you may still be inclined to reject the idea of combining Ghost Rider and Vigilante in this way. My current plan is to just write up two versions of the sheet, one in which Vigilante acquires the Ghost Rider title and has to juggle being a 'normal' crimewrangler like he was more used to and dealing with the weird Hell/Mystic stuff Ghost Rider gets up to; as well as a more vanilla version of Vigilante. If you think there's zero chance of the Vig/Ghost Rider being accepted though, I'd appreciate some notice so I can scrap that version of the sheet straightaway. Thanks!

Otherwise, I have a question about supporting characters. The 'beta' roster of support I have filled out contains a semblance of the Seven Soldiers of Victory, comprised of members of past Seven Soldiers lineups and characters I thought would fit the mold(Shining Knight, Jonah Hex, Crimson Avenger, Frankenstein, Star Spangled Kid, and Stripsey). The thing I'm nervous about is whether having a lineup of Heroes in his supporting cast who could ostensibly be written as characters be someone else is a problem. I think the only really 'popular' character out of the bunch is Jonah Hex, but I hope this is okay.

I want to take this opportunity to reiterate something I mentioned in the Interest Check for the game, since there seems to be a bit of a misconception with this - I do not mind combining concepts at all, and would have happily accepted something like Diana Prince being this universe's Captain America. The caveat to this that I've been trying to get across is that if you're going to do that, it has to be heavily thought out to justify itself. If the combination itself is the crux of your application, you'll be denied, period. I want applications with an emphasis on character, not gimmicks.

That said, your concept for combining Vigilante with Ghost Rider actually sounds like it has a great deal of potential, given you seem to have a big sweeping epic planned involving Hell and other supernatural characters, so I'd be very interested to see you put forth an app for that. I'd say don't get rid of the vanilla app just in case, but you can proceed with the Rider version and me and my fellow GMs will make a judgment call from there.

As far as using those characters, that's fine. I'm just glad to see characters like Hex and Frankenstein being utilized, given they usually draw the short straw.

I like the sound of this. Let's revisit this idea once you've got your feet under you a little in the IC thread.

Also, a little unrelated, but as much as I love shit-posting, I find it almost refreshing to talk openly about what we have planned in the OOC thread. It's nice to discuss ideas with people out in the open rather than in PMs or on Discord. I know we all like to have the element of surprise (and I know I certainly fetishize "reveals" a little bit) but it can sometimes be a little isolating to see people posting day after day as if ideas come to them like manna from heaven, when really it's because they thrash everything out behind closed doors.

We should do that out in the open more often, I think. Inbetween the GIFs, memes and dick jokes, obviously.

I'm actually playing pretty fast and loose for this one. Once my initial arc with the flying killer robots from the Fleischer cartoons is done, I've intentionally left the majority of my slate blank in order to have run-ins with other characters. Luthor's gonna do what he do and steer Superman into conflicts with the other heroes-- Wonder Woman and Thor would both be potentially entertaining dust-ups, some sort of encounter with Flash or Spider-Woman would be fun, and of course he'd have to run into Batman if only to get all the worn-out "durr-hurr-hurr he said Martha" jokes out of the way-- before Clark finally gets wise and confronts Lex himself, culminating in the creation of the old Superman Revenge Squad (or whatever I end up calling it) and Supes graduating into his big-boy costume.

I'm holding off on the heavy-hitting villains like Zod, Brainiac, etc, until Year Two, but if anyone feels like using some of Supes' B-list villains, gimme a holler.

Since we're apparently sharing our plans (nix the spoilers), I might as well toss in my two cents.

My plans for Frank, like Andy's plans for Superman, are a bit fast and loose. Right now all I've really got planned is that Silvio Manfredi is the boss of the two guys who killed Frank's family (thanks to Henry for suggesting it btw), Frank wants to topple his organization and then kill him, and so he's gotta get into gunfights with Manfredi's mooks along the way.

I do know that I want the last action-y post of this first year to be a high intensity shootout that pays homage to either the mansion shootout from A Better Tomorrow II, the church shootout from the Killer, or the airport terminal shootout from Max Payne 3. Not to mention that I have a neat (if underdeveloped) idea for a spin on this universe's version of Silvermane (that I should probably run by Henry to see if he has any similar plans or not).

So basically, I have the basic idea for the ending in my head, and I'm just figuring out what happens on the way to that ending as I go along. Of course, Henry and I, playing two of New York's resident heroes (though that term is a bit flexible when it comes to Frank), have a crossover lined up as well.

I'm making this up as I go for the most part. I have in mind the story that I want to tell for this arc, which really is just universe building in establishing what the Green Lantern Corps is about, who the major players are, and what their connections are to one another.

I have a couple of ideas of plot hooks that I'm debating that I could run once the story shifts to Earth, but I'm playing this one by the seat of my pants pretty much.

Well, this version of LexCorp is more focused on communications and electronics than the traditional "we make everything because comic-book science is basically just magic" version-- think if Apple, Verizon, Google, and Facebook were all the same company. However, Lex himself does have a vested interest in the affairs of superhumans (especially if one is a fellow mega-genius who apparently came back from the dead) and has a lot more than just tablets and server farms in the basement, so while I don't think he'd reach out to them publicly, he might use back-channel agents and guys-who-know-guys to get to Richards and company. If only so he can dissect them and see what they're made of.

I have an overall idea on where my season is going, but not a strict outline of beat by beat planning. In Gwen's world, she'll be going into Senior Year of high school with all the emotions and drama of that. In Spider-Woman's world, I'm planning on having an escalating gang war that will bleed into a superhuman arms race for dominance of the city, which is also how some of the new versions of Spidey's rogues will come about. Hoping to have the two dance with one another in the ways all great Spider-(Wo)Man stories do.

I also have smaller, self contained arcs that deal with introducing villains like Vulture, Firefly (loaned graciously by MB), and Electro that I can fit in as "filler" here and there that don't deal directly with the story at large.

Wouldn't mind showing up in Gotham or Metropolis here and there as well.

I'm of the "I'm just making it up as I go along and have only a rough outline/idea of what I'm doing" camp.

Here's where I'm at with the Fantastic Four without revealing too much.

We know at this point the fate of this universe's Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben. What we don't know yet is how the NF Fantastic Four's presence in this world is going to change the things and people around them while they search for a way home. I have a lot planned out and my plans are probably slightly more far-reaching than some because NF Fantastic Four aren't Year One so I feel like I can throw a little more at them.

Either way, I want to use their search for a way home to deconstruct the idea of Marvel's First Family somewhat, investigate each of its members individually as characters, and create some waves that will have consequences that will reverberate around the universe a little and turn some traditional relationships on their head.

I tend to write way, way ahead. It's both a blessing and a curse. I get the certainty of knowing the story I want to tell is well underway – and I'm not too reliant on other people – but it does also limit the possibility of interaction. That's the bargain you strike when you decide to write ahead, I guess.

Well, I'm always up for discussing future team-ups, whenever they are or whoever they are with.

Might as well as share my plans for the near future. My current plans for the Guardians are sort of planned out. Without revealing spoilers, they are going to find out who killed good old Yondu and basically destroyed the Ravagers. And have them find something important that it gets everyone's attention. Most of Year One is going to be spent solving the case and developing relationships between Quill and the other Guardians (especially Rocket and Kraglin). I have plans for them. It means that I am planning not visiting Earth in Year One. I don't honestly see any reason to at the moment. But, who knows? A certain Green Lantern could unexpectedly meet them during their travels...

As for Year Two, I have several basic plans written down and will expand upon them at a later date.

Not as cool as the others, but at least I have something planned. Oh, I almost forgot to tell y'all. There are going to be a ton of 60s, 70s, and 80s music.

Ha! You won't fool me into spilling my secrets. And not because I don't have that much planned, either; as we've discussed, I have a great many plans! So many plans it would make your head spin! I could talk all day about my plans, and the only reason I'm not starting now is because I don't want to! Not because the plans don't actually exist, oh no. A good try, all, but this vault of plans shall remain sealed!
