I have so much to catch up on! Skimmed through the OOC, need to read the IC posts and get up to speed. Working on commissions/job stuff today, hoping to post in the next day or two. (Exciting stuff, y'know?)

Is it too early to do awards? Because I think this wins Best OOC Post for me.

Also, new announcement:

This season will officially conclude September 25th, three months to the day that the IC thread was started. I'm announcing this now so that people have a better idea of how to space out their arcs for the season to help prevent any future slacking.

Three months is a long time for an IC to run, and should be plenty of time for each of us to do what we gotta do to get our characters through their Year One growing pains and into a second season.

If things aren't quite resolved across the board by the time we reach that date, I may delay closing up shop. But for now, consider this the goal to strive towards. Think about where you want your characters to go outside of interactions, who you'd want to interact with, and what your checklists are for the season.

I mean if I keep post 3-4 posts every 1-2 weeks, I think I could get a lot done by that point. That said, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised. These games have traditionally [on superherohype] run for ten months at a time so to condense it down to two-to-three is a little shocking. It’s not a bad thing, but I was expecting to tell a lot more “year one” stories then the current timeframe will allow – and that’s presuming I keep my current pace of writing for this RP. I’ll be still trying to make things work, though I do have one question.

Will you be planning the Silver Surfer Arc to be written in late August or early September?

Running for that long was never intended by us in any of those games, and to be honest, is part of the problem of why so many games burned out over there. We would say "Oh, it'll be a six month game, for sure."... only to end up being ten, like you said, because people (myself included) didn't commit to the idea of treating the game like it had a beginning, middle, and end. So part of why we're gonna try out three with this game is to see how it affects post stability, because we're riding a high right now and I want to make sure the game remains this fun.

As for the so-far-absent Surfer, his first big appearance is being plotted at the moment. But the endgame for him (and his master) will appear in-game closer to the actual date, for sure. I'm not going to mention a specific date on that, just because I want to know where the game is whenever we get closer to September to determine when certain things will happen. But I'd wager that it's going to be within September's approach, as sort of a "Third Act" to signal the end is a'comin.

So yes, *gasp* Otto Octavius is a bad guy. I'm going with mustache-twirling evil Otto, mostly because that's the kind of Otto I like best.

Understood. I’m kind of curious what our post stability will be closer to the October season as well. You’ve always been an adaptable GM, so I’m sure things aren’t hard-set. I’ll try to keep myself on target with this RP. God knows I owe you guys that much.

If you decided to redo the Octo-Carnage Arc I don't know how I'd feel about it. I'd probably like the posts individually fifteen times on impulse.

Since we don't have a PC Daredevil yet, I'll be happy to have Bruce sub in for the card game.

Haha. Nah. Symbiotes are still a long way away. And Otto won't be a supervillain himself until next season(?) at the earliest. We'll see how these shorter-than-normal seasons go.
