Ah, cool then. Not sure how many you have, but I will make a sheet in time if I can.
Michael Duke Travers
Nickname: N/A. No Mike.
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance:
Michael is very standard fare for his age and his ‘type.’ He wears hipster glasses, he dresses in fandom t-shirts, and wears jeans. He’s plain. So plain, in fact, that the most remarkable thing about his appearance is that there’s nothing remarkable about his appearance, though that’s nothing but a positive now. He’s physically average, standing at 5’9”.
If his physical appearance is less than imposing, his physical demeanor is that of a cuddly puppy. He seems meek, just by looking at him. Michael walks with his head down, and almost shuffles rather than walking. He rarely smiles, and instead most often has a look on his face like he’s scared. And maybe he is.
The poor guy has a wee bit of social anxiety.Likes, Dislikes, and Fears:
- ✓ Comic books. His favorite hero is Nova.
- ✓ Science fiction movies.
- ✓ Reading, writing. He’s a hobbyist.
- ✓ Being left alone.
- ✓ Working with computer hardware, or software.
- ✓ Writing programs.
- ✓ Lo-fi music
- ☠ Public speaking
- ☠ Large crowds
- ☠ Parties
- ☠ Being surprised
- ☠ Socialites
Fear:
Having to give a speech and then defend it against a panel of people.Personality TraitsThe GoodIntelligent | Trustworthy | ConsistentThe BadOverconfident | Softspoken | Not a leaderMichael is a standard fare smart boy. He prefers the company of books to that of people, and he keeps to himself whenever possible. He’s not much for friends, and isn’t much for talking with other people, with a slight exception being when he can hide behind a computer screen. Chatting with his guild in a Discord server before raid night is a lot easier than talking to his group partners during a school project. He’s just socially awkward and perhaps a little anxious.
Even so, he’s confident in his own ability. Why shouldn’t he? He’s proven himself to be inventive and smart at every opportunity presented before him. He’s programmed apps, built robots, and set up automation around his house. He knows how smart he is, and his social anxiety isn’t enough to stop him from acknowledging that.
After a while, Michael can somewhat open up with people, and blossoms into a different person. When he’s around people he’s comfortable with (there aren’t many), he’s boisterous and loud. He rarely speaks before he thinks, and has accidentally said one or two things that can be considered ‘offensive’ to say the least. Getting to this level with him is such a struggle, that few people have bothered trying, and fewer still have tried.
Michael is the weird nerd kid who builds stupid robots in his spare time. Who would want to be friends with that?Abilities & WeaknessesT H E P OW E RFollowing his ‘change,’ Michael has two ‘abilities.’ Firstly, he is even smarter than before, and is capable of consuming knowledge faster. This is the minor of his abilities, and is only listed because of the speed at which he gathers and retains new knowledge.
His primary, and major new power, is that of technomancy. Michael’s power manifests itself in the way he interacts with technology. He can see transmissions on the airwaves or over wi-fi in the air; that is to say, he can, for example, see a text message arrive at someone’s phone, and the notification appears as plain as day to him.
Technology bends to his will. He can unlock almost any computer, break into any phone. Once in, he can download the data to his own brain, or he can get it do whatever he wants. There are no electronic locks when he’s involved. Unlocking a car and starting it up? Doable. Driving it with his mind? ...questionable, depends on the model.
Beyond that, his upper limitations are currently unknown. He intends to ‘practice.’ The power is nothing more than a muscle, and he can strengthen that muscle like any other.T H E S T R U G G L EMichael’s powers sometimes overload him with information. It can cause intense headaches, and in the absolute worst cases? Immediate blackouts. He also has trouble based on the security and encryption of computers. While your basic home computer would only take a half a second to get in, a more machine can take him up to an hour or more to get into, depending on the levels of encryption.
He also hasn’t gained much in the way of defense. He’s essentially just a very smart young man who can utilize computers and electronic information at an alarming rate. While he isn’t going to be the killing machine the government may have wished he was, Michael can still be a valuable addition to any team. Background
Michael never knew his birth parents. From what he understands, they were, at one time, good people. His mother died, in childbirth, and his father killed himself shortly after that. Michael was placed in the care of his godparents; his mother and father’s best friends. They were rich, and young business owners, and they truly did their best. They gave him everything he could have ever hoped for, but they weren’t the best at ‘being there.’ Michael was subject to bullying and isolation throughout school. As children learned what happened to his birth parents, they opted to tease him for it. As a result, Michael has been indoctrinated to believe that he caused his parents’s death; his mom and dad alike. He found escape from a disappointing reality in the pages of comic books, which he read from a young age. He loved the idea of superheroes, and has wished for all his life that he could be one.
As he grew up, he realized that he was smarter than his peers, and in a lot of cases than the adults in his life. He started the sameway a lot of people like him did: taking things apart and putting them back together. This lead to taking things apart and putting them back together with modifications. Modifications led to building his own devices. Building his own devices led to programming them. And programming his own devices led to things such as the robot that will peel and slice an apple for him via voice commands.
He’s not sure why he was chosen for the program, but he can only assume it’s because his godparents are afraid he’s going to kill them to. Then, he was subjected to the gas. When he woke up, he was overwhelmed by the amount of information he saw in the facility.
At first, seeing all of that information was overwhelming, but he’s slowly been acclimating to it. The scientists aren’t fully sure what his abilities are, and he’s been sure not to tell them everything. Instead, he quietly spent his time obtaining what information he could from the servers he could gain access to.
When the group wanted to break out, Michael was happy to join in. With his abilities, breaking out was relatively painless, and once he hit the open air, Michael felt like he was even stronger. Whatever happened next, he was ready for it.

xDKhall Sahn
Name: Khall Sahn
Nickname: N/A
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: Khall's style usually consist of hoodies, sunglasses, and earbuds. Things he has to have if he wants to retain some kind of semblance of normality due to his powers. He usually wears jeans and sneakers, as they're comfortable for him, and keeps a dark or dull color pallet; dark reds, greens, grays, black, etc. His hair is normally not kept, as he wears his hood up a majority of the time.
Likes:
• Silence
• Reading
• Rain
Dislikes:
• Crowds
• Spicy things
• Going outside
Fears:
• His powers
Personality Traits: Distant, Stubborn, Blunt-at-times --- Stern, Analytical, Competitive
Personality: Khall is not a social lad. He tends to normally keep quiet unless spoken to. When he does speak however, he's straightforward and doesn't pull his punches. He will almost always follow someone else unless he's certain it will lead to failure. However, after you break past the quiet shell, and then the slightly-thorny one, he's compassionate. He's just not the best at showing it.
Ability: -- Opinokinesis -- Khall is capable of depriving people of their senses. When he is about to use this power, an array of floating, 2D eyes appear just above the surface of his skin(if he so chooses); one on the forehead, and one on each palm. He comes to call these his Eyes Of Justice (EoJ). When Khall looks at someone with his normal sight, he can deprive them of two of their senses for as long as he looks at them. When he looks at someone with his extra eyes, he can deprive them of one sense besides sight. If he looks at them with two of his "EoJ"s, he can deprive them of their sight.
Limitations: Khall's power somehow makes his senses very sensitive. His eyes are very sensitive to light, his ears to sound, his pallet to tastes, etc.
Additionally, his EoJ's only affect people who's faces are at least ~40% visible to him.
Sunglasses and some goggles also negate his EoJs.
Background: When Khall found out he was one of the six students to be chosen, he obviously freaked out. But, after they were given instruction to train their abilities, he felt different. He felt unique. Like he never had before. But at the same time- he hated it. He wouldn't be able to go outside or turn on a light without taking several minutes to adjust to the brightness, if the room had been darker before. Standing on the sidewalk near traffic or hearing somebody shout would hurt his ears, due to the sound. He had migraines more commonly then ever before. He couldn't go a day without going through some type of pain. These people had hurt him. They needed to feel what he has to go through. Pain.
@Hushed Whispers Hoping that it's not too late to post a character. Debating between making a synesthesia male to rival Ellie or a muscle memory female. Any thoughts?
<Snipped quote by Poleski>
You have about one hour. lol I like the idea of muscle memory though.
But it's entirely up to you, of course.
@Hushed Whispers Wanted to make sure I got it up in time. I'm going to keep working on it in the mean time.Name: Tilly
Nickname: Til
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetero
Appearance: Tilly is short with a small build, only standing around 5'2". Almost all of Tilly's features could be considered small, from her stature to her tiny nose. She has shoulder length blonde hair, that she likes to leave small braids in. Her eyes, above a small splash of freckles, are the faintest blue color, almost appearing grey in the light. Overall she appears innocent and tiny.
Likes: music, dancing, learning
Dislikes: onions, snakes, the color pink
Fears: snakes, forgetting, the future
Personality Traits:
1. loyal
2. passionate
3. driven
1. forgetful
2. easily manipulable
3. hot headed
Personality: Tilly was always a bit of a hot head, saying whatever comes to mind without thought of consequences. Her mom reasoned that it was because she was trying to make up for her short height, but she liked to think she got her fight from her dad. The two of them were close. They liked to spend the weekend afternoons enjoying quick witted jokes and lots of sarcasm with each other.
Ability: Tilly's power is enhanced muscle memory and learning. She can pick up almost any skill incredibly quickly and with a mastery that comes from years of practice.
Limitations: Due to Tilly's powers she has severe memory malfunctions. Her long term memories are fading fast, and short term memories stay from a limited amount of time. In general, she can't remember anything for more than a week, though she will often forget smaller details before then. She also struggles to pick up a new skill without watching it (reading about it is much harder).
Background: Tilly never liked school. She liked learning, don't get her wrong, but school just brushed her the wrong way. Do this, don't do that. Blah blah blah. She hated having to listen to teachers try to instruct her every move. Try to teach her stuff that she didn't care about. AND they were so boring about it. God! She liked learning with her dad. They were so close. "Thick as thieves" her mom had said one time. He had taught her everything, from how to change a tire to how to play basketball. Okay, he might have been trying to raise a son, but Tilly could care less. She was just happy to be with him.
Then they came to her school. Federal agents or something. Her dad called them 'suits' cause that's all you ever saw federal agents wearing. They spoke about a school, something about being chosen. All she could do was look at her dad. Don't shake, don't cry. Be strong for him. That's what he would want, she thought. But she could see the fear in his eyes. What was happening? A black bag was tossed in her lap. Just before she was pushed out of the room with the other kids, she grabbed her dads hand. "Tilly, TILLY! Listen to me!" He was gripping her hand hard now, "Remember this okay? You're gunna be just fine. I'm going to find out what's happening and find you, ok? Just remember."
Everything else was a blur. A facility, bright lights. How did she get there? Had she been in a car? Someone was talking to them. They spoke about soldiers, and mutations, all sorts of sciency shit. She didn't understand a word of it. Then there was gas, coughing. She couldn't breathe. She was going to die, here, just sitting with five other kids she didn't know. Where was her dad? He said she'd be fine.
When she woke up Tilly was disoriented, to say the least. She lay face down, feeling like a ton of bricks was on top of her. Why couldn't she move. Panic and fear rose in her chest, just as she felt something in her fingers. Slowly, like she was moving for the first time in ages, Tilly began to move her hand. Joints ached and cried out as she struggled to move the rest of her body. Everything about her felt shaky and... new? Like she didn't know how to move them. Almost something she had learned long ago, almost forgotten. She came to that realization just as she was pushing herself into a sitting position, her legs hanging uselessly off to the side. In an instant the panic flooded back. How could she forget that? She tried to remember what was happening to her, but... Damn it! She couldn't hold on to any of it. What could she remember? M... My name is Tilly..." she whispered to herself, "Tilly La-" she stopped short. What was it? She couldn't remember her last name. What the fuck was happening to her?
