@A Lowly Wretch (and anyone else who wants to comment on it) I just wanted to pass a god idea by you before I actually go and make it just in case his domain isn't viable. It's a sort've weird domain; entropy, or at least something akin to a sort of degradation of matter in an irreversible manner. I realize something like entropy skirts a bit close to both Time and Death, which is why I'm passing this by you before I use up time on the concept. Basically his presence would have an almost corrosive or weakening effect, though on gods it would be milder, and his touch would cause a rapid sort of degradation on objects and weaken organisms, preferably irreversibly as entropy tends to be, though I'm not unwilling to change that part. His realm would basically be a smoggy desert of grey sand somewhere around here (maybe even a subrealm, just to save space on the map). He would be somewhat uncaring but hostile at the same time, as he wishes to 'return Tabrasa to its base components / a purer state' but also believes in a sort of 'everything fades away eventually' worldview. That's just stuff off the top of my head. If you want me to change any, or even not do it at all, I have other ideas too.

@Lmpkio
How did he get said knowledge to build said city, especially since he is the god of light?

I mean Even the god of knowledge doesn't have knowledge of superior complex architecture, maybe multi tiered, but still.

Well I suppose cities cannot be a thing then, so I'll just have to edit this into something else. My mind has always been thinking on the world being more medieval, but alas I'll change this city to like a golden palace/throne room/etc. Yes, I could have him maybe go to Iva'Krorh, but that's going to get complicated real quick if I do, so I'll just... delete that I guess.

Sure. Definitely can go for that later - but again, not now.

Alright - I edited Terratoria to be simply Hyperion's Palace. I think it should be fine now.

@Lmpkio - I've read over it and it's quite good. I personally don't see any issues with the state it's at now.

@Vega7 - Unfortunately due to reasons pertaining to the underlying lore of the world I can't accept a god of entropy. That's pretty much The Void's purpose anyhow and no gods would ever be born to serve it.

Okay, that's fine. Give me a bit and I'll come up with a more palatable idea.

Wait, I'm not seeing the edits for some reason? I'd like to review it before we give this the OK, even though I'm not the GM. The reason being as the God of Law, Gammaton's influence should be an absolute prerequisite when it comes to the first cities and establishment of governments. Right now, it is my belief that gods simply have small cult villages, with Hayim having the most followers, not only because he directly interferes helps them, but that his general blessing has such a beneficial impact in their lives. As far as I see it, Dirka has a small sorcerer's cult, Iva has one tribe, Hayim has multiple tribes spread out, Ragnagedon has a tribe of marauders, Ral has a small tribe, Ferron is just about to create dwarves, and Anu has a group of monsters. That should be the extent of it, any higher-level organization should be a joint venture with Gammaton, otherwise it should take a lot of time and energy to form. Besides, light is not order, light is not the antithesis to chaos, light is not civilization or government.

Part of the fun of a god game is the creation aspect. The name, 'Tabrasa', is obviously taken from the previous incarnation of this RP, 'Tabula Rasa', which means 'clean slate', starting from nothing. We should take the time to build up from limited resources, creating things bit by bit and seeing how other players react to the things we've created. Gammaton lives in a frickin' anthill for crying out loud, and isn't going to pop out an advanced civilization without consulting and collaborating with the other gods first because I recognize that advanced civilizations are inherently overpowered and therefore cannot be the work of a single god.

Anyways, just my two cents. At this point I'm thinking there needs to be considerably more scrutiny before more gods are accepted. The criteria should be more than just 'does it step on the toes of the underlying lore'. I'm not angry, and I'm sorry if I sound anal, but I made the god of bureaucracy for a reason (because I'm anal and a stickler for proper procedure).

Also thanks to everyone else who jumped on this sooner than me.

I kinda forgot to retcon the last paragraph of Hyperion's bio. My bad. Just did it now - no city, no government, just a palace and an army defending it while the God of Light tries to make amends with any gods/goddesses that were affected in his crusade.

Edit: Although now that I think of it, maybe adding local tribes people that worship his divine light could definitely be a thing I can do.

@Stern Algorithm just throwing my input out there. Naswaru doesn't have a tribe let alone barley anyone that worships him. but he would be up for creating a race if some one where to ask him and help him.

@A Lowly Wretch soooo I am thinking of a small creation that Naswaru would have made for a singular purpose. I was thinking this could be some what like a small crab that is just around to maintain his entrances into his realm. he does have more than a few of them after all and is intent on making more. just wondering if this was ok I do not wish to overstep my bounds.

@Stern Algorithm - Hm. The way I saw it was that he simply had a bunch of people living in his unique realm construct. Iva'Krorh has a library and Anu'Varr has a tower after all. It made sense if he wanted to have his god's home set up with some followers of his own. Naturally the whole "Progressive human government maintained by humans in full on cities built by humans guarded with armies" bit certainly wasn't getting a pass from me but I did mention that. Seeing as my time was fairly scarce today I had little time to adjudicate the various edits his background was undergoing to monitor what content remained and what did not. I've read it over just now though and it seems in order.

@Lmpkio - One thing I will note is that in his history it states that he returned and made room for homes and crops. Given how the current age of technology is still in a hunter/gatherer stage unless it's specifically stated that he invented farming crops (Which I seriously doubt) it'd be best to eschew that segment of history.

Do bear in mind that while I do vet these things such matters take time, especially during the daytime. If there's an issue you all believe needs attention do hit me with a mention and I'll get to it at the earliest opportunity.

@ReusableSword - Do define what you mean by maintain. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be doing.

@A Lowly Wretch oh you said that overtime the entrances to there home or Realm would deteriorate unless the God took care of them. These creatures would basically do that for him. Unless I read that wrong then nevermind.

@ReusableSword - It depends on what is used to maintain them. A basic entrance only really needs attention should something block it's way or should the frame get damaged. If there's any sort of effects or enchantments imbued upon the entrance then they'll require a god to regularly recharge their divine magic or the magic behind their effects will wear away until the entrances revert to normal. Unless you're proposing that these crabs act as conduits for Naswaru's divine power to recharge whatever effects you might have had placed on the entrances then all that's needed is to check for mundane wear and tear amongst other things every so often.

_
On a separate topic, just to clear up something for everyone just in case there was any confusion, deity's are the only sources of magic in this world. There is no generalized "Magic" in this world that isn't the direct result of some god or goddess lending their power. The only other force in this world is unseen and unknown to all currently.

Sorry, my bad, I kept checking the post of Hyperion in the OOC tab, unaware that he had already been posted in the Character tab and that that one was being edited instead.

I think fruit and vegetable crops should be either entirely in Hayim's domain, or be a joint venture between Hayim and Drakairos, whereas ranching would first require that vegetable and fruit agriculture already exist, and be a joint project with Naswaru (though Naswaru may not agree). Of course, I think Iva is indispensable for these as well, which almost goes without saying.

How I have interpreted everything so far is that any god can theoretically take any action, but the cost to do so and the effectiveness are dependent on how close it matches up with the domain.

@Leotamer - That much is true. To invent things however one must first have the idea. Should a god be inspired to create something it would always be feasible so long as it isn't antithetical to their domain. Deities however tend to be fairly specialized in their domain, hence why a majority of creations tend to involve it. I am not saying that a sun god cannot create crops but given the era specified I just think it'd be a little odd. Not the most unlikely god for that but a jump like that is something better reserved for in-rp contemplation and discovery rather than something that happened in the past despite seeing no signs of it anywhere else.
