Only more more post of good-old family time before leaving prologue and character building stages.

Just watched VENOM. As long as you can remove your spidey-fan-boyishness associated with Venom behind before heading in, you can enjoy the ride as a 'what if' scenario where Venom never bonded with Spider-Man. It was fun at least, too bad about the lighting in a lot of the scenes though. Venom/Eddie banter certainly the high-light of the movie.

Fun spin-off and even got its obligatory Stan-Lee cameo.

Certainly could have been better but I was able to enjoy it so at least that.

My weekend was spent questioning life after I failed two midterms for the first time. And reading up on Red Dead 2. Other than, I should have a post up today.

Well if you were reading up on Red Dead 2 instead of studying, I think I found the problem.

I had my existential crisis before I started to distract myself with the good things in my life. Also, I studied very hard with books and other things used during studying time.

Okay time to start a discussion that isn't politics or an existential crisis.

If you could write as a second character, who would it be? Feel free to even mention characters who have already been claimed, this is all theoretical anyways so why not?

For me, I'm always going to want to write Dick Grayson, specifically as Nightwing. He's my favourite character and while I don't write him as well as I'd like, I love giving it another go.

As a follow-up question, if you could bring in a character from another publisher outside of DC and Marvel, who would it be?

If I was going to bring in a character from another publisher, I'd love to bring in Angel again and revisit my Angel Investigations concept where Raven and Angel work together to solve paranormal crimes in Los Angeles.

Parker for both answers. I had a good run with him in a game a few years ago and would like another crack.

Since I'm swapping Frank out for Question, he's off the table, so I guess I've gotta say Jimmy Woo. I had a pretty decent sheet worked up but I ultimately liked my Q idea more.

As for characters from other publishers... Jesus, I don't even know, I barely read comics that aren't DC or Marvel lol. Gonna have to pass on that question.

Question one is a dead tie for me between Peter Parker and Elijah Snow. I've got a lot of interesting stuff lined up for Planetary, and I'm certainly rolling a sheet as Elijah when time for S4 or 5 comes around. As for Spidey, I've been cooking up an idea that involves him bonding with Venom very early in his career, and having to deal with the ghosts of that throughout his time as Spider-Man. Maybe someday it'll see fruition.

As for other publishers, another dead tie between Spider Jerusalem and Luther Strode.

Also, I know I said several days ago that my post would be up -- it's definitely coming! School has just really been coming down on me the past week or so. It'll be done soon. I promise.Hopefully

Flash, probably. I think I could do a lot of goofy stuff as Wally West or Bart. Or, Red Hood in a Outlaws team where I don't have to play the other characters. and I've got a hate-love relationship with Jason, as in, I don't actually like him the most out of the Robins, but he's always the one I end up gravitating towards. Character has the most interesting setup that makes him different enough from Batman, and I love the Guardians Of The Galaxy-vibe from Outlaws. Red Hood and Bizzaro's been one of the best things out of all of New 52, imo.

Lone Ranger would be cool and I'd dig the wild west thing. I'd like to do a Flash Gordon / Martian Manhunter thing, too.

Realistic second character idea? Had plans for Green Arrow when I thought I was done with Cap, so that seems the clearest choice. Or, as I said to @AndyC in a PM, I think the sidekick characters make good second character types. Batgirl, Supergirl, or -- if this game was farther along timeline-wise -- my main man, Superboy.

Theoretical second character idea? Well, Spider-Man obviously, but let's face it: he'd be the primary and Cap would be the secondary there. (Sorry, Cap.) Always get excited about playing the Flash but haven't ever gotten very far with him, so that would've been another avenue to explore. Or, I could've brainstormed a Catwoman idea with @Master Bruce and had that on the backburner because I couldn't really see myself playing Catwoman and only Catwoman. (Sorry, Selina.)

I'm sort of with @Simple Unicycle on the second question. I do read some independent comics, but typically they're nontraditional (in the sense of most four-color comics), self-contained, or an established universe that wouldn't really jell here.

Throg as he brings together the motley crew of the Legion of Superpet Avengers.

Outside of the big two... perhaps the Phantom.

Well, there's my usual standbys, either Dick Grayson or Raven. Assuming those get snapped up, though, I'd probably take a crack at the Hulk since that seems to be one of those 'cursed' characters that nobody can ever seem to make work.

As a follow-up question, if you could bring in a character from another publisher outside of DC and Marvel, who would it be?

Hellboy. Don't even have to think about it, motherfuckin' Hellboy all day long.

Anyway, gonna get a new Supes post up tonight, one that will kick off my first actual story arc of the season.

By the by, did we ever land on a decision for this universe's PotUS? With Cap running around Washington full-time, it seems inevitable that he'll be referenced this season, if not roped into one of my harebrained schemes.
