@Master Bruce I'm likely late but I've finally got plenty of free time to write tomorrow, got the inclings of my muse back and by god I'm going to write.

I am afraid that I have to drop out. With finals coming and a wisdom teeth removal to deal with, I will be a busy person during December and will not make the deadline in time. I hope the rest of you have fun.

So some people got to talking.

A lot of us love this game, we really do but due to real life things the last couple of weeks and the pace of Season 1 and what's happening now feel burnt out. Could we do a Haitus, either end season 2, or call it a loss then have a break before doing Season 3/Reboot Season 2 sometime, possibly in the New Year?

Just food for thought.

I know I love Iris as Flash, I love how Iv'e built her and her cast up and what I've planned to do for Season two. I just feel so burned out to do her right now, and I know other people feel the same. Some distance may help with that, and I know at least a couple of others feel the same.

Just an idea. Don't murder me.

I'm in favor, myself. Me might've benefitted from more of a break between Seasons.

I'm really excited about my plans for Vig, but I've fallen so far behind on account of a couple factors that it'll be really difficult for me to get properly on track.

Plus, maybe a break will give some of our droppers a chance to find their inspiration/time again? Just my two cents. Time to focus on getting a post out, now.

@Master Bruce and I have previously discussed having a lengthy break between Seasons Two and Three in the event that we do make the end of this season, so I think it's reasonable to expect more time to get your affairs in order between seasons going forward.

With that being said, I've no interest in going on hiatus as is, partly because I don't think it's fair on those active posters, though fewer than there have been in the past, to have to wait around in the hope of other people who have dropped already to maybe come back. That doesn't sit quite right with me.

As one of those technically active players, I don't find putting this on hiatus for a short time unfair to me. I don't know how the others feel.

I'm naturally concerned for the course of this game. We've lost a good portion of the player base (and people with far better stories to tell than myself). But I'm here until the end. If we break, I'll return once it gets back up and running. If we continue, I've got ideas for where I'm taking the story (and I may be reaching the climax of this first mini-arc I had planned before whatever big event is to come).

I think the concern and focus of putting this game on haitus isn't to hope people return. Most of us just seem to need a break. So many of us have been swamped with work, myself included. Giving us time just helps us begin stockpiling posts for when we are ready to get back into the full swing. It's been very hard writing these last couple posts, but I don't want to just switch characters or drop this RP. I've loved the stories being told and this world that's been developed.

Since this seems to be a moment of truth, just felt like tossing my voice out here in the void to make sure it was heard.

I'd much rather we all suffer through a slow month or two and allow people to return in their own time than "reboot" (well, relaunch post-hiatus) the game at some arbitrary point further down the line, only for it to peter out within a week or two. I don't know that anyone with any experience of how things go in games like these on this website can honestly say it would end otherwise.

If life is kicking your butt at the moment, fine. Sit it out for a while and hop back on when you can. I don't see why other people posting whilst you get your affairs in order should be a hindrance to anyone.

If this is an option, I'll be taking advantage of it. I don't by any means want to drop but nothing has been clicking the same way for me this season as it had in the last. So hopefully some time away will do me some good.

I think on some level we all know what constitutes acceptable behaviour and unacceptable behaviour regarding this kind of thing.

If you want to drop us a messaging letting us know that work or personal life stuff is getting on top of you and you're going to have a slow month or so, feel free to do so – that's fine. You'll find we're pretty accommodating on that front. What isn't acceptable, of course, is the kind of extractive behaviour we've seen in the past: of people jumping in and out at opportune times IC in lieu of having put the work in themselves.

Short of that, if you need to take time out, take time out. This is meant to be fun, after all. If worrying about meeting deadlines, or not being able to post, is making you stress out, step away and handle your business and come back when you're feel up to it again.

Yea. I don't want to go on hiatus, but I'm good with a lengthier break between seasons next time. That would give me more time to have posts ready to go before the season starts, and would open up more improvisation and interaction opportunities as it would mean that I wouldn't have to work so much on getting in my solo story. But a hiatus, for me, would be a huge bummer. I'm getting 2 posts out a week (not to mention writing posts for a game I haven't even started yet), so I'd like to keep working.

I'd also be good with maybe a more relaxed timetable for this season. The Holidays are always a tough time to get posts done, so maybe having a bit more of a tail to Season 2 could help.

Still, I'm for anything that makes this game last. I think everyone is doing great work, and don't want to see another one like this go down the tubes.

If it wasn't clear before, @Master Bruce & @Morden Man, I'm going to be taking an undetermined hiatus in order to plan and pre-write a couple posts before returning. I feeling pretty sapped on Thor at the moment though and I don't want to produce lackluster content akin to the posts I've been putting out this Season. Hoping some time away will help me recapture the magic of Season One.

Well at least I figured out what I can do in the intermediary section, post was short but will be a good introduction to a 'new' character. The story I want to go with just won't make sense to start until next season considering how I set it up. What I want to know is, what in-game time is the MME suppose to be? My posts are in December while other people are before that so not wanting to jump ahead by accident. @Morden Man

I'm more set off by the fact that apparently Wonder Woman in that universe now has that awful turtleneck costume they've been giving her in the new DC animated movies. Seriously, WTF is that supposed to be? I get if they want to get away from the old swimsuit costume, but what part of "Amazon warrior princess" includes a turtleneck and Jeff Hardy arm-stockings?
