December 11, 2016 now December 23, 2018

Hey everybody,

This announcement has been long overdue. December 11, 2016 was when I first posted Project Crossover and it has since come a very very very long way. The journey has been full of juicy story line plots and lovely character interaction. As much as I would have loved to start and end with the same people, every GM who has ever ran a long-term game knows that that is never the case. People leave for various reasons. Some disappear for various reasons, but regardless we’re going to pay tribute to all of those players who were once upon a time in this game and are no longer with us. For this passing year at least. Whether their internet gave out, real life took them away, they lost interest, or what have you, we’re still going to give thanks to their contributions no matter how large or how little. Below is a list of our contributors who are no longer in this game, but who are always welcome to return:

Note: This list is much shorter than last years. This game originally started with 29 players. It has since shrunk down to 9 dedicated players. Some who have stuck around since the beginning.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering why this post is even up. The reason is because I am always recruiting. This is a BIG game, and I’m always looking for talented writers and leadership to join the legacy. So if you would like to be a part of it. If you like engaging missions at a steady game pace and watching your character develop alongside others. If you like a long-term game that lasts long enough for any story line and in-character relationships to develop, then this is the game for you. Bring your creativity not your drama. Please sign up if you are interested. I am always looking for new dedicated writers and for GMs who would like to take control of some mission scenarios.

Now, I am going to be dishing out some awards and achievements. First, I want to thank those players who have been with me from the beginning. They are my “Veteran” players and therefore will be receiving “Veteran Awards” in the form of an achievement. Achievements are a fun reward system I made in the game just to decorate your CS with. That's all they are. Achievements documenting your game history and in-game achievements. Those players are:

These players have been with the game since the beginning or for at least this entire year and have kept this baby moving. I am really thankful to have them. They are great writers both in game and out. They are just awesome people. I hope that they will be here next year so that I can thank them again, but I am glad that they are enjoying the story to stick around. The veteran players above are all of my current active players, so I do not have a list of active non-veteran players to thank, which is awesome.

Players are awarded with a fourth character slot, one free level up for each of their characters, and when I get around to it (which will easily be today), I will be giving them their achievements. I am glad that I started this game in December around one of the best holidays that the entire world celebrates. I get to give out free gifts as a GM that normally, they would have to work for to receive.

Again, this is Project Crossover, a video game mashup game. If you are interested in joining, then I will be accepting new recruits at this time. There is a lot planned for this next arc. By January 1st, we are going to be finishing up our current missions and starting brand new ones that take us deeper into the story line. Do not worry. There is a story line summary on the OP, and I can EASILY catch you up in a few words. We have a very active discord chat, thus why you may see our OOC doesn't move as much. However, you do not have to have discord if you would like to join this group.

We have a Delta mission approaching. Delta missions have the highest difficulty, they are where I am slightly unforgiving as a GM. Therefore, when you see a character with Delta as their rank, it basically means they can handle missions of the highest difficulty. These ranks are not something you pick. It is something I give to you at the end of a mission if I feel your character has demonstrated the ability. Key words: your character. Sometimes a character’s personality makes them unfit naturally but that is okay. There are other squads who play an important role in support.

I will be erasing the inactive list today actually (December 23, 2018). We will be starting fresh. I hope with my current active cast that I’ll have more veteran awards to give out next year. Please join if you want a game that isn't going to perish on you in two weeks. We could easily make this a big, successful open multiverse, which would be my all-time goal. :D
