@KoL: She doesn't believe Mordred's trying to kick off a fight, more that it looks like she is and she's trying to do what she can to make sure that nothing actually happens.

Hah, I don't think it's that Secret of Pedigree applies to Lancelot because of the logic bomb of the NP that hides her identity being the only thing that anyone ever saw her by. Just going by his GO line of dialogue where he doesn't believe it's Mordred at first, presumably because out of armour... xD

Now that I think about it, I guess so. Nevertheless, pulling out Clarent should be enough for Lancelot to know who he's talking to, even if that sword don't exactly belong to her.

And while waiting for someone to pick up Lupin, whose master will remain nebulous until he gets one, here's a Caster.

Made a small alteration on my post. Hye couldn't possibly know who Lancelot is. Mordred summoned her sword so it's another story.

Having only the information that 'Mordred harbors animosity towards servant X' isn't enough to narrow the options straight to Lancelot. It was my mistake. Already fixed.

@13org

Well, Mordred called him Knight of the Looks, which is an obvious play with Knight of the Lake and there's only one person who could ever own that title. I don't think that it would be out of character for anyone to understand that she is talking about Lancelot.

Unless, of course, you're completely clueless about Arthurian lore and, in the Nasuverse, no one is, considering how important/idolized those people are.

@LukasVolkov: Okay...

So to begin with Servants are almost always summoned in a very human state. In fact, in any normal case they have to be at least somewhat human(outliers in FGO are exceptions caused by weird circumstances). You can't summon a fairy. If you could, they'd need to be something along the lines of the Gorgon Sisters, where they were born from humanity in spite of technically being divine, therefore are "human gods" so to speak.

I honestly don't think Queen Mab is an inherently poor idea, but she'd end up being something more humanlike just by dint of a) being something manifested from human consciousness and b)being summoned as a Servant.

She could still have alien morals(I'm not opposed to someone who just loves to screw with people and doesn't get why it's wrong running around as long as they're not like, lolrandumbmurder or something) but she'd ultimately look more human and have a more human-like nature to her just by dint of actually being something that can be summoned.

If she is created by humanity "metaphysical body" is completely unnecessary as the Gorgons don't have it.

@DocRock: Innocent Monster is a rare case of misconceptions or beliefs influencing a person who exists independently of them. Someone like the Gorgons, born from humanity's wishes and thoughts, most likely wouldn't have it.

And let's not get into the fact that Fairies are from Gaia and thus generally opposed to humanity, let alone Servants.

It's probably even more than common knowledge to say the truth. There are a few things that are constant among all the versions of the Fate Franchise, and one of them is the fact that the KotR are consistently put on a very hard to reach pedestal to the point that they are many times considered to be vastly superior Servants than even much older Heroic Spirits from the Age of the Gods. And then, there's the fact that just about every Servant that they come across at least acknowledges who they are, if not outright show respect and admiration.

Now that I think about it, nothing shows that fact better than the fact that I don't think that there's a single official entry in the Franchise that doesn't have at least one of the KotR, or someone that's a stand in for them (in that case of Strange Fake).

They really are the cream of the crop when it comes to Servants.

And that's not even taking King Arthur into account since Artoria is on a whole other level when it comes to relevance and fame.

PS: Now that I think about it, this is a good chance for Mordred to show her character development from Apocrypha (more than she's already). It'll probably be interesting to see Lancelot's reaction to how the Knight of Treachery has changed.

Though, the same can be said of Mordred's reaction to Lancelot depending on the circumstances.
