Neil Spellman

Neil's eyes were scanning the room quietly, noticing the new arrivals. There was a biker chick sucking on a lollipop over at one of the tables, a sight that made him do a bit of a double take since he didn't remember ever seeing anyone like her before. However, given the misfits they already had at the school - some reformed Brotherhood members, a girl raised by wolves(?), an heiress to a billion dollar tech company, the niece of the Phoenix, and so many more... he couldn't be that surprised to see a biker. Hell, the more he glanced into that corner, the more she reminded him of Wolverine. Maybe she was his niece or something. The brief bit of analysis helped to take his mind off of the pain for a moment, but his mouth felt like sandpaper and his bones like molten magma.
As Sara took his hand and gave it a squeeze, Neil's eyes watered. He really liked this girl and for the first time, he was actually having a proper... interaction(?) with her... and it was after he had been mind controlled to try to kill the others at X-Mansion. It was more or less on par with the sort of things that happened to the X-Men, but it didn't make it any easier. He couldn't help but feel ashamed and guilty as he looked at Sara. She was so beautiful and strong. Sara's aunt, the one and only Jean Grey, then approached him, carrying what looked like hearing aids.
Did he really deserve those, after everything he had done? He knew that his aunties had told him stories about people being possessed, force to do things that they never would have - and he knew that no one else who was mind controlled was to blame for what they had done... but knowing all of that still didn't help to take the guilt away. Neil nodded slightly at Jean.
"I-I can... Thank you," he said softly. He had his hearing back just in time to hear Lance arguing with his father - something that put Neil a bit on edge, especially when Lance sent a blast of light off at him.
"...Attacking the Hulk in medical... What could possibly go wrong..." he mumbled.
Dean Kesseli
Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater

Dean couldn't help but smile slightly, overhearing Bobbi's comments about walking in on dry humping teenagers. Quicksilver and his girlfriend were a bit ridiculous sometimes in his opinion - but knowing the terror he himself was experiencing, having ripped out Richard's kidney and found out that he had withheld information vital to Max's life... He could understand wanting to hold someone closely right now. He would have wanted to hold Carolina, if it wasn't for the fact that when he even contemplated touching someone, all he could think about was phasing through and ripping out their heart. It wasn't that he was a bad person - just that the darkness had held him and now, Dean was scared that it was a part of him - that even without Mesmero, that was the person he would become.
Hearing Annie's question, Dean hesitated for a moment. He panicked and couldn't think of anything that made him happy. But then, he remembered what he had asked Beast - that he had wanted to go home. He just wanted to see his parents and baby sister and run away from all of this. How did that saying go, anyways? You either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Dean didn't like either options. He'd rather go back to the suburbs, live the white picket fence life and grow old and just be a civilian, a bystander.
"My baby sister... Carrie... She's - she's real little," Dean said.
"Got the stupidest little smile too..." The corners of his mouth twitched a bit. She was adorable - but it helped that she was young. Little siblings were almost always cute when they were young. It was when they got older and became annoying that that stopped being the case. He had actually discovered that he had powers, when he had to swoop in quickly and catch her from a fall at the park. At Carolina's request, Dean turned bright red. He didn't think she'd be interested in a guy like him still.
Someone who nearly murdered someone.
"I... Sure," Dean said, not knowing what else to say to Carolina.
"Maybe we can meet somewhere... I don't think I'm going to stay here," he then admitted softly. As Allison said the name of the man who had held his mind captive, Dean was just relieved that she seemed to be fine. It was good that she was stepping up too, since he saw Mary in one of the beds among the injured.
Guin Stark
Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater

Guin turned bright red as some biker girl came into medical, making a comment about seeing teenagers dry humping. She hadn't really been paying attention to her surroundings, given the fact that Pietro had forced her into a bed in medical on the far side of the room, and she then had a slight PTSD induced panic attack at all of the blood and injuries. Of course, Pietro was incredibly attractive and that didn't help keep her from being distracted. Banner made a comment on it as well and part of Guin wanted to hide underneath a blanket.
Of course, at least Lance was stealing a bit of the attention as he sent a blast off at his father. She could see some visible tension near Mary, Richard, Ayita, and a few of the original X-Men. Sara was holding some kid's hand. Annie, Carolina, and Dean were all conversing. People had split off into their own little groups and not all of the interactions seemed like they were going to end well.
"Lando, face it, he's going to make you rest whether you want to or not," Guin pointed out to him. However, as her thoughts drifted towards technology and all, looking at the set up Lance had at the moment, she recalled what she had seen earlier.
Mary had been doing something in technology - right before she attacked them. Remembering the time when Hammer had hired a mind controller to try to steal from Stark Industries, Guin's eyes widened a little bit. There was so much alien technology at X-Mansion - enough that any of it would be worth stealing.
"This was all a freaking distraction!" Guin declared suddenly.
"Mesmero or whatever was after something - that's why Mare was in technology. And what is worth stealing here at X-Mansion, something you couldn't get elsewhere? And it had to have been a digital transfer since otherwise he would have had Mary try to escape..." Her stomach grumbled slightly. She wanted pizza. Her head was also still spinning a bit. It helped that Pietro was holding her, since otherwise she would have been swaying a bit.
"What are you going on about Guina?" Pietro asked, basically ignoring the comments everyone else had made about the two of them. Though he ignored what he had just said and chuckled slightly, able to tell that she was hungry.
"You're a kleptomaniac. Think about it. If you were going to break into here, what would you want to steal that could be transferred digitally?" Guin asked, her stomach grumbling again.
Pietro fell silent, thinking for a moment. Though he didn't care too much for her calling him a kleptomaniac since he didn't care much for the term at all.
"Well... It would have to be something that could be like a file transfer... Like blueprints or schematics for some form of tech that the mansion has... But that could be just about anything when you consider as you said before all of the bits of technology the mansion has, anything would be worth trying to recreate..." She really wanted pizza now. And the more Guin thought about how much she wanted pizza, the harder it was for her to keep on her train of thought.
"Mmm, see the thing is, a lot of this tech is comparable to other stuff that's out there. S.H.I.E.L.D. has the Framework as an alternative to the Danger Room for example. They have space ready quinjets now too. No, there is one thing here though that you can't get anywhere else, something of use to someone with mind powers..." "Um... I know where you are going with this, and that would be bad, like really bad... But it can't be that easy to steal those blueprints you would think... Like, not many people I don't think have access to those..." "Damn it I need food...." Guin mumbled.
"But that's why it makes sense - because I saw Mary in technology. She'd be one of the few with access. If he was stealing any old plan, he wouldn't have had to send her down there for them - she would have stayed upstairs to fuck with people." "When was the last time you ate something?" Pietro asked, starting to tunnel vision on her again. Guin shrugged.
"Look, that's not important. But if I'm right, then someone needs to go tell Xavier - and I can't since you won't let me leave this dumb bed..." "We can tell him a little later, not like anyone here is likely going anywhere tonight..."
