Andy

Location:The Big House

Andy was slightly relieved to know it wasn't some random personal vendetta against her. She picked up the wine glass of coke and followed Chiron over to the group of kids and actual for real flying horses. Andy didn't know what they were called but there were horses with wings. She stared. Andy found herself half hiding behind Chiron glancing over the group.

When skeletons literally appeared out of the ground she yelped and spilled most of the soda. Okay, flying horses and skeletons. Sure why not. It wasn't like she hadn't controlled electricity before, shocking numerous foster siblings and bullies before running away. So why not. She took a couple of deep breaths, drank the rest of the coke, and took a tenuous step forward to join the group. If she could just blend in that would be perfect.

Marygold Isley

Location: Granite Falls, North Carolina, Outside of Crystal River School For Troubled Youth, Parking Lot -> Camp Half-Blood

Mary rolled her eyes at Ezekiel, "Yeah, well your suggestion could have gotten someone seriously injured I mean really," she said, shaking her head at him when they flew off to Camp. She was perfectly fine with no one really wanting to be in her chariot, it meant that she got to be by herself and probably not have to answer a whole bunch of questions from the newbies. True, she was fine with answering questions if she was asked and helping out if needed, but still, it did get to be a bit tiring after a while.

Once they touched back down on the ground at the camp, Mary got off the chariot as she saw Chiron making his way over to where the group was. She smiled slightly as he spoke to the group, introducing himself to the newbies. When the ground began to shake, she raised an eyebrow, looking over at the group that they had just brought there, figuring that someone might learn who their godly parent was. Turns out that there were two who both had Hades for a father. "...Well what are the odds two of you would have the same parent and being at the same place at the same time?" she mused quietly, keeping her voice down so no one could really hear her too well.

Athanasia Theroux

Location Camp Half-Blood

Whatever she had expected a camp next to the Long Island Sound and halfways covered with strawberries was not it. Why were there so many strawberries? Why was there one big house on the hills? Why were there so many cabins and was the guy in the wheel chair another demigod? Did old demigods end up like him? Questions burned and blazed about Athanasia's mind as she tilted her head, her pale hair swinging behind her slightly. There was just so much! "Year round? Why? What about school?" There was an eagerness she couldn't mask. If she didn't have to go to school! Though the reality that her mother would never, ever allow it squashed the thought as soon as it came to that particular realization. Ryssa took education seriously and woe betide anyone who got in the way of that view. "Can we ask questions now or is Mister Grouchy right and we have to wait?" Her black eyes danced with amusement as she beamed a charming smile at Chiron. When first meeting someone it was always good to make a first impression the best one.

Which was ruined by the ground shaking with a good deal of force. Startled Athanasia drew a few steps closer to Arthur, before the ground began to open between the two of them. Well having faced down a trio of Cyclops, flew in on chariots pulled by peguses and not exactly the most trusting of the good intentions of the world 'Ash' did the prudent thing and stepped delicately behind Arthur. He was the Co-president and thus more expendable than she. Not that she would ever tell him that! Peering around the year older boy, she studied the skeletons that crawled from the hole. They weren't scary, she had seen bones before, but it was slightly unnerving. Tilting her head she frowned. "Arthur, you have a glowing thingy over your head." Which for some reason seemed rather interesting to many of the people about them. Soon Ash found herself holding a human skull, and watching the skeletons sink back into the earth. "Skalle?" She muttered frowning in a fair bit of confusion and tossing the skull a bit.

"Oi! Toots! I aint a tennis ball, ya know? Going to rattle my eyes out of my sockets! The name's Tony Charlies Ruzpun. Will you stop tossing me?!"

Athanasia tilted her head as the skull talked with no tongue and a moving mandible. "You are more chatty than my friends. A very chatty, chatter-box." Though her attention switched to study Marygold with a thoughtful look. If she shared a godly parent with Arthur that meant....

"I got a name, ya know?! Tend to like people using it! I could have been a contender! One of the great! Then I would have been known in every household! Will you stop tossing me! I'm going to get a headache!"

"You are just a skalle, Chatters. And skalle are generally silent." Muttered Athanasia with a glare at the skull as she stopped tossing it up and down in thought. Thankfully the poor disembodied head had enough sense left in said head to hear the edge in the girl's voice and shut his trap save for minor mutters about the fact he could have been great. Turning her gaze to fix it on Arthur she tilted her head in consideration. "So-?" It was a shock, and she wasn't exactly sure how to process having another potential sibling? Unless there were two gods who commandeered skeletons and skalle? But it was Arthur and he was a solid co-president of the Hell Raiser Committee. Tapping her fingers along the skull's noggin she ignored the complaints and studied her counterpart. "Would someone explain why he had a glowy thingy over his head? And do we have the same god for one parent? Where did the skeletons come from? Are we above a graveyard?" A burst of questions rushed out as Athanasia couldn't contain them, with good reason. "And why didn't my mor say anything?!" Athanasia snapped finally feeling that betrayal of information kept from her most deeply. Enough that she slipped into the tongue of her mother and the swedish 'mor' for the term of mother.

Her question wasn't truly answered, but she supposed a year-round camp would have further amenities than a normal summer camp. After all, could they really be asked to go without cell phones and television? Or wi-fi? She hoped not. She had to admit she was growing weary worrying about all of this. It wasn't like her to care so much, but she was curious now. Who were her parents? And why was she abandoned by them instead of growing up knowing full well who she was?

She glanced over to see the two youngest pestering the others with questions and facts. "I pity the poor counselor who has to watch over those two. They are trouble. And that's coming from me." She wondered if there were strict rules like the school or if there was more freedom. She would see what it was like, but maybe she had a choice to stay or not. She didn't want to go back to that school. That was for sure.

Arthur was relieved as they hit the ground, apparently finally free of potential threats, at least for the immediate future. He was about to take a moment to get accustomed with the area in front of him, when two skeletons erupted from the earth in front of them. Ready to leap into action again, he barely got out ,"I thought this place was-" Before the skeletons presented him with a blade. Gingerly, he took it from them, and played with it in his hand. Cold to the touch, he was unfamiliar with wielding such a weapon, but hopefully he'd get used to it. "This is different than your weapons." He noted, having seen theirs to be of shimmering gold.

Looking between Athanasia, he asked, "Any reasons for that?" Before taking a quick second to see the symbol floating above their head. He nodded along to his apparent half-sisters questions, but tacked on one more. "You missed the most important one though, who is our father, or mother?" He asked. He had some guesses, the big one coming to mind being Hades, but there were other gods of death probably, and today wasn't a day for assumptions. He looked over to the senior campers, figuring they'd be given them some explanation.

Jade Schneider

The girl was thankful that the other girl had agreed to guide her. She was most certainly going to need to learn where to go and her way around the camp before being able to easily get around. For that part, she was definitely going to need this other girl to help out by showing her around and where to go. She hoped there wasn't many stairs, steep hills, or at least that there were paved paths around the camp. Otherwise, that would make things become very difficult for her to learn her way around and certainly for her to navigate without instantly falling on her face and otherwise making a fool of herself. That was absolutely something that the girl dreaded, making a fool of herself in front of these new people. Enough already made fun of her for being blind, she didn't want to give any prospective bullies here even more o a chance to make fun of her.

Then she heard the sounds of hooves approaching, Jade immediately wondering why somebody decided to come up and greet them on a horse. Was it to show off how cool they were, or the cool things you could do out here? Then the man, judging by his voice, started speaking towards the group. He introduced himself as Chiron and remembering what she had learned about camp a strange thought crossed her mind. Could this be... the Chiron. As in the centaur from all those myths, here, at this camp in long island. After everybody finished speaking, Jade immediately blurted out the question that had been plaguing her mind since the man had introduced himself. "Excuse me? Do you mean you're Chiron, like the centaur from all the myths?" She asked, figuring that the answer was probably pretty obvious if she had been able to see.

Leda Storm

Location: Camp Half-Blood

"Sometimes quite literally chosen," Leda chimed in, adding onto Kristin's comment. She, Zeke, and Kristin had been handpicked by Apollo for a quest a few years back. That was a rare occurrence, since most of their Quests happened because the Oracle gave a prophecy - though being the god of prophecy, Apollo had been able to make an exception for himself. She couldn't help but agree with Kiera's earlier comment that Zeke would have his hands full with the two little kids, as the symbol of Hades appeared above both of them. Leda would've been a bit nervous, seeing children of the God of the Dead (not Death, that was Thanatos) but she had been in a serious relationship with a daughter of Hecate named Rebecca. Dark and spooky demigods didn't scare her.

Leda's eyes did flicker over towards Mary, however. Demeter's beef with Hades was legendary - since he had more or less kidnapped and then married her daughter, Persephone. The little girl started talking so much that she couldn't help but imagine it would give Mary more reason to dislike her and her brother. Of course, no one had spit it out and said it yet, so Leda figured that she would have to. Her job at Camp Half-Blood was ensuring all of the gods were recognized and not left out, so she figured this fell under that. "Congratulations. Your father is Hades - God of the Dead. Not Death," she informed the two. She then glanced at Des, nodding a bit in agreement at her comment. However, there was an irony to this entire situation... There wasn't a counselor for the Hades Cabin. These two little kids would be in there by themselves.

Chiron looked over towards both Arthur and Ash as soon as Hades had claimed them as his own kids he looked at them before Ash asked some more questions, there was a lot of questions coming from her. "You will be able to learn what you need to while you are here so education is not a problem for those who choose to stay year round. But you are free to take up and learn anything that you'd like here as well and train." Chiron said while Ash was playing around with the skull a little bit. He then turned his attention towards Arthur as he eyed the dagger that he was given. "That would be a stygian iron dagger, very deadly to both monsters as well as halfbloods." Chiron answered him.

"We do also have capture the flag here every Friday almost everyone participates in it, and no servants here aside from some of the staff here." Chiron answered Desdemona's earlier question, he then looked over at the newer group as well as Andy and gave them a slight smile as Jade also asked about him. "Yes I am, also she is new to," He said before going to the new group, addressing everyone to Andy "I'll show you all around the camp, and i'll show you two to your cabin." Chiron said to both Ash and Arthur. Kristin looked over towards Jade for a moment she figured Chiron would be her guide as well for the time being. "Chiron will help show you around." Kristin said to Jade as Chiron then addressed the others.

"You are all welcome to take the rest of the day off if you'd like, you all did well today." Chiron said as he started to make his way over towards the cabins. Kristin then looked over towards the others. "So what are you guys going to be doing?" She asked.

Kiera stared at Ash and Arthur seeing the two of them, she wasn't sure what to even think about the skeletons that came out of the ground and gave them two things. She was really curious who her father was and she had been wanting to know for awhile now as well, as Kiera listened to Chiron speak. "I wouldn't think that they would have the lord of the underworld as their father." Kiera said towards Leda as she looked at the others she then ran a hand through her hair as Chiron motioned for the group to follow him for the tour as she looked at the group who saved them.

"I'll see you around then." Kiera said as she started to follow shortly after Chiron looking over at Jade for a moment noticing the girl for the first time and offered her a hand to help her move around. "Here if you'd like some help." Kiera offered as she started to catch up to Chiron as they got to the cabins now.

That was a big deal. Seriously skeletons had come out of the ground to greet these two kids who were the children of Hades. Andy didn't know any of the Greek gods but the god of the dead and underworld had to be important. She was thankful that meant there was no way too much attention would be put on her. She relaxed a little but seemed to shrink when Chiron said she was new too. Andy didn't take the initiative to introduce herself.

She did step the rest of the way into the group of new campers. Andy wondered what a Stygian dagger was as opposed to the bronze ones, like hers... The one the strange man had given her. She frowned connecting the dots of the strange man, the dagger and this place. Was that a god? She bit her lip. She knew if she saw the man again she would recognize him, even though she had seen him briefly he had saved her life by giving her that magic dagger. Andy had learned that the dagger wouldn't hurt people though, she could hurt herself with it and monsters, but not normal people.

Kiss kiss? What in Hades did that mean? Speaking of… The ground started to shake after Chiron rolled himself on over. Ezekiel didn’t even get to explain some things because Kristen started in already. He rolled his eyes and sat down on the back of his chariot even while the ground started to rumble. Skeletons appeared and handed the children who had ridden with him some gifts from Hades and a symbol appeared, claiming them both. Once again, Ezekiel was about to answer the deadly girls question but Kristen shoved her obnoxious nose in it. Gods, why was he put in charge? He never really was in charge to begin with but if something went wrong, oh we all know where the fingers would be pointing.
Chiron then said he would be touring the kids around and Ezekiel sighed. At least one good thing was coming of not being in charge now. He stood up, grabbing his bow and other gear and snuck away from the two children who had just been claimed.
”Oh I think a swim is in order,” Ezekiel said. Few things calmed the son of Apollo but water seemed to always be one. Odd, considering who his father was but poetry and music was a thing he kept to himself and no one, other than his cabin, knew of his love with poetry.

Location Camp Half-Blood

Stygian iron, a curious thing Athanasia noted with a shrewd eye. While she wouldn't begrudge Arthur the weapon, she did puzzle of the world and how these new developments would change it. If their father was Hades, the King of the Underworld, then did their powers reflect on bones and those who were dead? It matched what she had experienced before in life. Her friends, especially those from the large graveyard she had visited when her mother was lecturing others on something or other. "Miss?" The skull clacked, as her grip changed to support his cranium and no long hold him by the eye sockets. Raising a brow she glanced back at Kiera and smiled with a slight wave. She'd be fine, Kiera didn't need to worry about her or vice versa.

Looking back to Arthur she gestured with a nod of her head after Chiron. "To question now and chat later?" She offered quietly. If they were going to be sharing a cabin it only reasoned that they would have time to speak in private later. She would also have time later to contemplate why her mother never told her. Following after the wheelchair bound man, she stared at the odd looking cabin and blinked several times. Seeing cabins that looked so dissimilar was one thing. But Athanasia was sure one was made to be some sort of storm shelter with the amount of barbwire about it. Another looked like it was made of nothing but green leafy things. All in all it was stunning to see the vast display. "Aren't all weapons dangerous? They are weapons? And why are the cabins so different? Why is there a Camp? Why do the monsters want to eat us?" Frowning she studied the old man with a thoughtful frown. There were too many questions and she needed answers!

Mary just rolled her eyes slightly at the long sort of explanation as to who the kids' father was. She thought given the fact that they were children of gods that based on the little display that just occurred it would have been a bit more obvious than what they seemed to think. She was glad that someone decided to announce it, she certainly didn't really care too much for anyone related to Hades considering her mother's history with him. That was certainly a long story, but it didn't really matter right now.

She glanced over at Leda, wondering what was going through the speedster's mind of sorts (or sometimes as she referred to her Princess Rainbow Unicorn which is the best nickname ever), but decided not to just straight up ask her about it. Hearing Kirsten's question, she shrugged her shoulders slightly at her, "I don't really know honestly. Might go wander around a little bit maybe..." she responded, before once more looking over at Leda, wondering what she'd be doing.

Leda Storm

Location: Camp Half-Blood

Leda certainly wasn't going to volunteer to spend additional time in the company of Zeke and Kristin. The gods had already given her plenty of that and despite going on a Quest together, they hadn't gotten closer. They could work together and she knew they'd have her backs during a fight - she just didn't want to hang out with them otherwise. Kristin was a bitchy know it all and Zeke was an insufferable asshole. Leda of course knew that she was hardly perfect - she was impatient and reckless, as well as a bit two-faced. Awareness of her flaws didn't make them go away though. She did, however, flash Kiera a bit of a wink before she left. "Yeah, you will," she commented with a smirk.

Since Zeke was going for a swim, Leda didn't really want to go down to the beach. "I might as well go pop by the shrines, freshen up some of the offerings and all," she mused with a shrug. "You're welcome to come, Flower Child, if you want," she offered. Mary had been looking at her slightly when she said that she might wander around, which made Leda believe that the ginger wanted her company. She couldn't fault her for that - Leda was amazing and tons of fun to be around. Leda then started walking over towards where the shrines were kept at Camp Half-Blood, not using her speed in case Mary decided to join her. It did get a bit tiring zipping around everywhere and her stomach growled a bit. She'd need to eat a twinkie or ten.

Jade Schneider

Jade wanted to ask more questions after the identity of the man... er.. centaur, was confirmed. However, the sounds of a younger girl interrupted her with a small flurry of questions, something not all that surprising for the girl sounded young. Words such as stygian dagger and such floated around, only confusing Jade even further. Hearing that there were apparently children of Hades here, Jade wondered who her Godly parent was. She sincerely hoped it to be Asclepius, though not sure how that would let her speak with the dead, it would at least mean she is somewhat related to a God of Medicine. Maybe she would somehow be able to heal her sight? How she wished for the ability to get rid of this damned handicap already.

However, it seemed they were moving off with a tour. The girl was about to speak up, worried about tripping over some rock when a girl spoke up next to her. Reaching out, Jade managed to find the girl's hand and held onto it tightly. Following along after the girl while using the cane in her other hand to check for any obstacles. "Thank you, just warn me if I don't see anything like rocks or whatever I could trip on?" Jade asked quietly before seeming to think of something else. "Oh! I'm Jade, by the way." She said in a friendly tone, wondering if she had already made a new friend at this camp.

The first thought to cross through his head was about the distinction between being a god of Death, and being a god of The Dead. Thinking about it for a moment, he presumed this was why Hades was often heralded as the kind of the underworld, meaning that he wasn't actually responsible for the death of individuals. This made helped alleviate any potential feelings of worry from being sired by somebody with such a problematic domain. That being said, his emotions still were in a bit of a shell shock. "Right, dagger is deadly, like most daggers. I'll be careful with it." Normally, he might be able to find a more tactful way of phrasing that, but at the moment, he was unable to do so.

"So..." He was kind of thrown off by Athanasia's continual barrage of questioning. He liked the girl enough, but god, she didn't really have an off button. Collecting himself, he paused for a moment, closed his eyes, and returned to the conversation with a smile. "Well, I certainly can't wait to meet our other step siblings, is there a weekly meetup, or something of the like?" He asked. He figured half-bloods with the same parent would probably get together in some way, people having connections like that tended to help. If not, he considered starting one, and cementing himself as a leadership figure at the camp. Even in the advent of earth shaking news, Arthur still had machinations stirring in his head, it just was who he was.

Mona merely held in everything she wanted to say, because she was sure if she let her mouth run she would get in trouble. Not only was she partially right in her assumption about the camp, but it seemed like everyone there was like her. All kids from gods and goddesses. And to top it off the two youngest of them were the children of Hades. She had to admit, she was jealous. And that begged the question: who was her parent?

"So...while they get acquainted with their new sibling and possibly dad, how do we find out who our parents are? Is there like a parent/child meet up day? Do we get to make friendship bracelets and talk about our feelings as to why they decided to abandon us to some low-grade family and be sent to a school full of Cyclops and other monsters?"

@Morose@BlueSky44 As Leda made her way over to where the shrines were there were a few campers there tending to them as well, whether Mary decided to join Leda or not was completely up to her. Tending to one of the shrines there was Theresa Hudson, the head counselor for Aphrodite as she finished cleaning up the shrine which was her mother's she turned to look over seeing Leda walking over and smiled. She was known to be friendly for the most part but always ended up spreading gossip around camp for something. "Whats up Leda, how did the quest go?" Theresa asked Leda as she finished up her cleaning, she always either tended to the pegasi or the shrines from time to time.

@KazAlkemi While Zeke made his way over towards the lake he would be able to seeRosie Ellis the Oracle was laying by the lake enjoying a little bit of sunbathing there as she was relaxing. She was also doing a little bit of writing and listening to some music, she spent most of her time either in the caves or with Mr. D and Chiron tending some matters. Or she always spent the time at the lake or beach as well, there were a few other campers around the area as well she wasn't really paying to much attention on what was going on around her at the moment.

The little outing was fairly easy, they managed to bring back everyone safely. When she entered the cabin Kristin looked around, the cabin was pretty empty as she walked over and sat down on her bed, pulling out her computer as she started to do some work on it real quick.

Kristin then started to let out a slight yawn as she started to take a quick nap she did have the rest of the day to relax now after all as well which was a good thing. She wanted to get rested up well enough for the day before the game of Capture the Flag which she was excited about now as well.

"I'm Kiera it's nice to meet you." Kiera said towards Jade and smiled towards her, as she noticed one of them had gone over towards one of the cabins. They all looked completely different and she was really curious if she had any other siblings or not, as she looked towards Mona for a moment when she asked about meeting their parents. Which she was really curious about as well, and of course Ash was asking a lot of questions now as well. She wanted to ask some but so far the questions that she wanted to ask were already slowly being answered as well.

Chiron stopped for a moment and gestured towards one of the cabins that looked like it had an underworld theme to it, looking over towards Ash and Arthur. "Children of the Big Three, Zeus, Hades and Poseidon don't have to many kids due to a pact that they made many years ago so you are the only two who get to have this place to yourself. You may go in and look if you'd like and drop off your things and we can continue the tour if that is what you'd prefer." Chiron said, Ash's questions were getting a bit annoying but he remained calm. "The camp is designed to help train you to be the next heroes. As Chiron started to explain some of the cabins and which ones they belonged to, they would see some of them coming and leaving as they liked.

He looked over towards Desdemona, he could understand wanting to know answers about her parents. "They will claim you just as Ash and Arthur have been, and maybe gift you with something. As for actually meeting them, that is a completely different matter they rarely ever come to camp but during the winter solstice that's when you will be able to meet them in person." Chiron answered, as he looked over and noticed a weasel starting to approach them, and started to climb up Jade's leg. It would occasionally pass gas as well until it was on Jade's shoulders. A symbol also appeared over her head, and then in her hand Jade would find a spell book which was all written in brail. (add this to your inventory as well). "It looks like your mother is Hecate." Chiron said.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: The Lake -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel made a quick stop in his cabin as he made his way to the lake. He dumped his stuff before he grabbed a bag with his personal notebooks in it and switched into a pair of swim shorts before he headed over to the lake. There were a few kids around doing their own thing but what was interesting was seeing Rosie at the lake. Of course the Oracle left her little cave hideaway but it was rare that Ezekiel ever saw her. She seemed rather engrossed in what she was doing which gave him all the incentive he needed to try and scare her.
He decided to go with tired and true method of simply sneaking up behind and shaking her shoulders.
”Boo!” He looked around her, spying at what she was doing and laughed a bit. He flipped a page in her notebook before checking to see what she was listening to. ”Craved a little sun today did you?”
There was no real reason why Ezekiel was an ass. He just was. It was fun and it was easy. People didn’t go out of their way to talk to you when you were a jerk. They didn’t try to be friends with you. It was lovely to be able to be left alone and not bothered at all.

Siblings. Andy's mind spun. Family. Something she had been denied her entire life. She had been a toddler when she was left at the hospital, and they had waited and put out her photo hoping someone would claim her...anyone. No one had, and now, today most likely, she would be claimed. A parent would say 'yes this is my child', and then she would have siblings. Well maybe. Chiron explained that some gods didn't have a lot of kids. She bit her lip and played with her bracelet. Then come winter solstice she would meet that parent.

Another of their number was claimed. The blind girl, Jade, she was the daughter of Hecate. Andy didn't know who that god was, or what their domain was, but it appeared to be books and ferrets, that was an odd combination. Maybe it was more than just ferrets, but all animals or at least all rodent ones.

Andy looked at the cabins, trying to imagine which one seemed like it belonged to her, which was going to be her home. Her stomach twisted as she thought the word home. Was this her home? Was she really going to stay here with all these strangers? She was supposed to be trained to be a hero here. What did that even mean? Her guard was up and she stood at the edge of the group not quite daring to mix.

Jade Schneider

Hearing the girl who had offered help introduce herself, brought a small smile to Jade's lips. Kiera was a pretty name, and Jade was about to comment on it whenever Chiron began speaking about the purpose of the camp and all that. Big three, generations of heroes. It all seemed to surreal and a bit strange to the girl, but she went along with it for now. Perhaps she could ask some more questions in private later on, so she wouldn't be bothering everybody else with what she was sure would be silly questions. As the girl wondered about how strange everything at this camp was, she was soon about to discover just how strange things could really get around this camp.

Soon enough she felt something running up her leg, causing the blind girl to yelp in panic and try to shake it off. In her movements, she let go of Kiera and fell backward onto her rear just as the weasel reached her shoulders. Mere moments before Chiron spoke up about he being claimed a voice spoke from behind her, the same one who had been previously warning her about monsters. Whispering a single word, the name that Chiron said a mere second after it spoke. Hecate, the Goddess of Magic and such? That was her mother? Mere seconds after that, a hefty book appeared in her hands. Curiosity taking the best of her, the girl opened it to find it was written in braille. Running her fingers across the page, she found it to be a... spellbook? The page she was reading at the moment speaking about creating a massive fireball. "I-I got a spellbook?" She asked aloud, the confusion quite clear in her tone.
