Inside the Palace Jade kept on venturing through the Palace, stopping once they reached Princess Wanda's room. She glanced around for a moment, before she gently opened the door.
"Okay, fan out. Find anything you can that's noteworthy in here, and then we're going to get the hell out of dodge before we get made. Understood?" Goose just sort of looked at Niah, before shooting a glare of sorts at Tinley and Jade. It was fairly clear that the cat didn't care much for the pair of them. However, he started pawing at Niah's face, and it was something similar to what he did in the real world when either he wanted attention or... He was hungry.
"Mrooooooooooooooow," he complained, making a bit of a face that was definitely saying
Feed me!Outside the Palace Flynn had wandered away from his siblings for the most part, and went over to where October, Carolina and Annie were.
"Do not fret, darling," October told Annie soothingly.
"This is how heroines are made - and I see one inside of you, if you would allow yourself to shine. And take comfort in the fact that we are not on the side of royalty... They so rarely win revolutions." "As for where you should go, I'd say probably anywhere but here right now... If Wanda knows that you tried to take control of her then sticking around here definitely isn't safe... You three probably need to get out of here." Flynn added, looking at the three of them.
"I honestly don't really know what's going on, but a lot of people have told me the same thing so I'm just going to go with it." Annie would get a feeling, a very strong one from her intuition, that something bad was about to happen. However, it wasn't something bad that was going to happen to them, but more of to the other group of people who were currently standing outside the Palace as well. All of the trouble she also could tell would come from one person in the group, namely Wanda Maximoff.
Wanda did not look to thrilled at the accusations against her, and Pietro wasn't entirely sure what to think of it. Yeah, he knew this world wasn't real, he trusted Guin on that, but wasn't too sure at the idea that Wanda would have caused it. However, what Guin and Allison were saying made him wonder if she did have something to do with the entire situation.
"Uh Wanda, what exactly are they going on about?" She glanced over at Pietro, and her eyes seemed to flash somewhat with a red light that the others could see. It seemed like Pietro questioning her was the last straw, and her hands started glowing as well. There was then a blast that got sent off, sending everyone around her (Oshea, Guin, Allison and Pietro) got blasted backwards by her.
"I have about had it with you people!" she snapped.
Pietro managed to catch Guin before she hit the ground,
Are you okay Guina? he asked her, looking her in the eye before he stood her up fully once again. Oshea hadn't been quite so quick on his feet but he did manage to use his own body to break Allison's fall so she didn't slam into the ground.
"Are you okay Ally?" he asked her, giving her a slight smile.
"You all know nothing about what you are talking about!" she snapped at all of them, glaring still, her eyes were red.
"Wanda, did you actually change the world? You need to change it back!" Pietro said, and then he charged at er, trying to knock her down. He wasn't able to do much to even get close to his sister, as she put up a bit of a barrier to make it so that he more or less bounced off of it and back down to the ground.
"I will not have you turn against me again brother," she said simply, almost sounding a little bit saddened. At this point she wasn't even going to try and hide what she was doing, and Wanda sent a wave of red energy at Pietro that hit him in the head, but it was clear that it wasn't actually going to hurt him.
"Uh, Wanda? What's going on?" Pietro asked her, sounding confused.
"You were going to help me, as your fiance and her friend were attacking and threatening me." "...Oh, okay then," he said, before standing up off the ground and walking over to her.
There was one thing that Allison would notice was off, and she'd remember something that in the real world Pietro mentioned, generally whenever people asked about how to break free of his sister's powers. He always had said that he generally never really knew how to break free, as his sister only helped him gain a somewhat resistance over minor telepaths, but that was because she never actually had ever used her powers on him to try and get him to do what she wanted him to.
The Resistance "Honestly, most people probably weren't acting the way that they would normally have, don't worry about it... And thanks for healing Runa..." Lance said, looking over at James. Hearing what James said about Casper made Lance start to question his own relationship with his father. He shook that thought sort of out of his head, and decided to pay attention somewhat to what was going on elsewhere in the group.
Barton let out a slight sigh. There were so many people here, he hadn't realized Niah wasn't among them. She was rather small and quiet compared to most of these individuals as well which didn't help matters. He raised an eyebrow at Max's declaration that the Avengers were useless. Hulk was here with them, Thor was dead and Iron Man was still a billionaire, that much he knew.
"Do you have a location on Captain America or Black Widow?" he pressed.
"Emma Frost isn't an X-Man," Banner interjected, looking confused.
"And really, neither is Cyclops anymore... That generation of X-Men retired years ago." "Are you essentially calling us old? Most of the group might have retired, but if ya need help you can almost bet on them helping out. As for Emma Frost, she's always had a bit of an obsession with shades, she was a little bit jealous of Jeannie for a while, but apparently that little obsession never truly went away. And honestly, perfectly fine if we don't go find them, feel like it would be more of a hindrance than anything." "Yeah, well, it's time for them to stop sipping martinis on the golf range," Barton countered.
"Frost can't be trusted. We'll leave her and Cyclops out of this. I want us to prioritize getting members of the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, as they have more experience. Then go for any X-Men you can find that you trust." "You mentioned a few people down in Louisiana?" Wolverine said, glancing over at Max.
"Betting that's where the Swamp Rat would be, and is the last names of those two you mentioned by chance Theriot? One related to Xavier the other is his half-brother right? Their mother, met her way back in the 80s, she's from Louisiana, New Orleans actually now that I think about it, so them being down there might just be a coincidence. Or if we're lucky they'll actually be in the same place as the others down there. Not sure who all might be down there." Banner was curious at what Cass said.
"Do we know if there is an upper limit to the Scarlet Witch's power - or is that just conjecture?" he asked. If Wanda was an omega level mutant, then she could have done this entirely on her own. If she wasn't, then Cass was right - she would need help in order to pull something off.
"No offense Bobbi, even though we don't know you, we can't give this thing to the Guild, I'm with Casper on that one. How much do you know about the infinity stones? Not much I wager, but there are a few things that you should know. Even just one of the stones could be used to destroy, or take over, the entire world. The reason why this crown was able to restore our memories of the real world, even if we didn't want them, was because that yellow glowing gem in the middle of it is the mind stone." he explained to her, shaking his head slightly at her words about needing to finish the job.
Turning his head slightly, he looked back at his brother,
"I actually do know how we ended up as members of the Thieves Guild in this reality. Our mother was apparently a member of the Guild and we ended up joining it... And actually no, I didn't kidnap a kid in this reality... That little girl is actually my daughter, so I'm just as confused as you, since I didn't have a kid in the real world as you very well know Casper... Anyway, that's enough talk, we've got to get out of here before someone catches us." He had a sort of bag with him that was slung over his shoulder and he put the crown in it, just in case they ran into anyone else in the Guild they wouldn't be able to see it immediately. Probably a good thing he did that, as there were footsteps coming down the hallway.
Mary smirked slightly at Ana's words,
"Well, let's just hope we can find the damn crown and get out of here quickly, the longer we are here, the more likely we are to get caught or killed. By that I mean by more competent guards," she said as they walked along. After a few minutes, they'd come across a door that was partially open, and she snuck forward slightly to peer inside. Letting out a bit of a sigh of relief, she nodded her head slightly at Ana and walked inside.
"So, did you three find the crown?" Mary asked, entering the room, as they had managed to find the room where Casper, Bobbi, and Jack were.
